We had once stayed here and it was good. Now it seems that major renovations are due. Rooms felt outdated and dirty. We had the 3 bedroom apartment and it is certainly lacking in many ways.

For the price this was a great place to stay- bang for buck.
Staff were over accomodating and super friendly. I travelled with mum and forgot to ask for the sofa bed too. We asked for sheets to make it upourselves but they insisted that they make it up for us and did.
Great spot, close access to everthing but in a quieter part of town. Gave the real holiday vibe.

We got the 3 bedroom family suite. The only good thing was the beds were ok. The oven doesn't go, there were no baking tins, only one stovetop pan. There were no cloths or washing liquid, a overused washing brush and we had to ask for toilet paper after we arrived. For the price nearly $300 for the night, we expected the in-room amenities to be available. The main bedroom had water leaking all through the wardrobe on the carpet, from the shower on the other side of the wall. Will not stay again with our family, we had to \"improvise\" far too much even just for one night.

Our room had not been cleaned properly. There was dust around the walls, on surfaces and behind the bathroom door. One of the drapes was coming off the runner and the small blind over the small window was broken.
The carpet from the entry way to our room was in desperate need of a vacuum. All the walls had scuff marks.
The staff were not very welcoming.

Staff was nice. Room was dirty. Trash was in the bin when I arrived. Fridge was broken and smelly. Other guests were loud and running around the hall. Bathroom was really dirty with dust and dirt everywhere. Bed was old and uncomfortable. It was fine but I won’t be back.

Room smelled bad ... No proper duvet with a cover...instead just blankets and a sheet? Bedside table and lamp very dusty. Nowhere to hang wet towels in the bedroom. Kitchen closed until 7.45 am far too late. Dishes are dirty. . Shower hooks broken cant hang clothes or shampoo. General sense of uncleanliness e.g., surfaces walls etc. No expectations around after hours quiet time - other guests were loud all night and there were no signs about when they should be quiet or a number for us to call and complain. Overall not a relaxing stay wouldnt recommend

No one at reception between 10 and 2. Difficult for arriving or departing. If a staff member can be found luggage can be stored in the downstairs dormatory room. Rooms large with airconditioning, balconies out onto residential streets, tea and coffee making, good wifi, communal kitchen had boxes saying creamer but nothing in them, plenty of power sockets, was possible to persuade staff to order taxis etc but took effort. Seemed to have plenty of parking, easy to find on a major road a few hundred meters from the park in one direction and the beech in another with various nearby shops. Can be very expensive if there's an event in town, service ought to be better when that happens.

The room was clean, Smelt good once we walked in. It had no faulty electrical switches. Amazing staff, really considerate although the shower head was a tiny bit broken and on full blast would spray out the side and hit the floor it was no issue to just simply turn down the pressure. All in all an excellent experience.

Actually this property although it had a big kitchen and dinning area I don’t think it did dinners or breakfast. We thought there was breakfast on the Saturday morning from 8am but sadly l was wrong!!!! If only l read the sign Silver Fern Lodge that would have explained everything.

The price we paid for the night didn’t warrant the $263.40 for one night.

We won’t be staying here again.

After booking originally and getting a not welcoming email with untrustworthy policies ive never seen b4 in near 1000 hotels, the boss of vr hotels kindly rang me and asked me to keep the booking and stay. This showed corporate management want a higher standard from their staff. So i stayed and it was a good fize room with balcony fir lake views. Only issue was toilet rolls had not been replaced so very little was on 1 roll with nothon other and no replacement rolls in the bathroom.

This is a cheap budget hotel and excellent value. Very nice staff exceedingly helpful I understand they’re in the realms of upgrading the property and you can see areas where it is indeed upgraded. A little more attention to cleaning would be a good idea.

When we arrived we were told that builders would be fixing the men’s bathroom and would be finished by 6:30pm, they were still fixing it at 11:30pm, very loudly opposite our room.
Not very professional to keep working until nearly 12am.
Had a very poor sleep because of this and had to drive very early In the morning.

Although the bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable for a 2 night stay, the shared kitchen was dirty and not enough cups and spoons etc.

Although they have a sign that says clean your own dishes - this does not happen! (The sign was dirty)

I was looking for dishwasher tablets (box was empty ) in a cupboard under the sink and found dirty dishes plus the shelves were broken and dirty. Taps are broken bins not emptied. Not a pleasant space!

The walll heater was too small for the unit and had a low heat coming out of one side. Even when turned up it made no difference. The room was cold especially at night and looked and felt miserable to the point where my husband and I abandoned our stay. For the money paid it was well over priced. The spare blanket in the room was too dirty to put on the bed. When we arrived at our room there was a pile of washing sitting on the floor close by with no-one in sight to pick it up. Ring in bathroom for holding a small towel was broken. We met an employee as we left and he advised us we could have called maintenance even although there was no reference to be able to contact anyone responsible in the facility.
We will not use this facility again. It was our first and last time we will be staying there.

We would not stay here again. It was fairly clean in the room but the smell in it when we arrived was awful. After a long drive we wanted to relax for awhile but the smell combined with the uncomfortable bed to sit on meant we sprayed the room & left right away for a few hours despite it being so cold out. When we came back the smell was better in the room. The room had 1 mug, spoon and tiny pottle milk - there were 2 of us staying.

The bed is one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on to the point where I got up with a sore back & had to take painkillers for the trip home. You could hear the springs in the bed popping with any movement & the pillows were also uncomfortable. Yes the room looks like the pics online but it's more run down in person, frayed carpet, old beds & I didn't even want to sit on the sofa. The desk chair was also broken. There is a heat pump but you can feel the cold coming through the ranch slider to the balcony.

The bathroom was clean & there are lots of toiletries available which was nice. However the showerhead is very low & not adjustable so I had to duck quite a bit to use (I'm 6ft). The extractor fan was aggressively loud, you could hear it from the main room loudly & you couldn't turn it off - it came on with the light.

Overall, would not recommend this place at all. Would never stay again & wish we could have gotten our money back to go somewhere else as soon as we had arrived.

We were staying over during V8 Supercars weekend for 4 nights. This place was very average at best. The rooms weren't very clean when we checked in and they were not serviced at all during our stay. We had to ask for replacement towels and extra toilet paper. The room we had had a King Sized bed and a sofa bed. When we asked to have the sofa bed made up, they just delivered sheets and a small duvet. They had unfolded the bed but had left it to us to make the bed. I certainly wouldn't look to stay here again and would not recommend it to others.
