The room was clean and very spacious. The staff went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed from the time we entered the Cove and throughout the property, the staff was excellent. They were very accommodating.The drinking water at the lobby was exceptionally delicious and refreshing. However, the tap water throughout the property had a nasty taste and smell. Water is very expensive at $10 a bottle because it has to be imported. Overall, I loved this place. It’s very peaceful, serene, beautiful, the staff is very friendly.

We recently stayed at The Cove and, unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had—especially considering we paid approximately $4,000 for a three- to four-night stay.
The problems started before we even checked in. We arrived in the morning and were never notified when our room became available. Instead of making the situation right, the hotel attempted to compensate us with a plate of five tiny macarons, which felt insulting given the cost of our stay.
Once we got to the room, the issues only got worse. The bathroom sink was completely clogged, making it impossible to brush our teeth or wash our faces. Maintenance eventually came and unclogged it by using coffee stir sticks to pull out clumps of hair from the drain. After finishing, they left the used sticks and hair in our bathroom trash instead of removing the garbage before leaving.
The room itself was in poor condition. The refrigerator/cooler wasn’t even the correct unit for the room—it looked like a temporary replacement that didn’t fit into the built-in cabinet. The furniture showed significant wear and tear, the carpet was heavily worn, and the room looked tired and neglected.
We also had no hot water in the shower, and on most nights the air conditioning barely worked. One evening it became so uncomfortable that we had to call for assistance. Even then, the issue wasn’t addressed until around 12:30 a.m.

During our stay, the air conditioning in our room did not function properly despite our efforts to have the issue addressed. The room remained uncomfortably hot, significantly impacting our ability to enjoy our vacation and obtain adequate rest.

More troubling, the water temperature controls in the room were defective and unable to properly regulate the temperature. As a result, excessively hot water unexpectedly came from the shower, causing burns to both me and my son. This created a serious safety hazard that should never occur at a luxury property operating under the Marriott brand.

What is particularly frustrating is that these issues substantially diminished the value of our stay and exposed my family to preventable harm. Guests should be able to expect that basic room systems such as climate control and water temperature regulation are functioning safely and properly.

When I escalated this to the property manager, nothing was done and so far Marriot leadership has been largely unresponsive as well.

Do not stay at The Cove or The Reef for the next 12-18 months. The adult only pool is closed for renovations until 2027 and the Spa is also closed as it too is under going renovations.

Don’t pay for it the premium experience while only getting a fraction of the promised amenities.

Also, I have been going to Nassau for years, but over the last few the level of service at The Cove has continued to decline.

Overall a nice trip. Check in was extremely slow. Room was not ready and waited way too long for the room to be ready. Ruined our first day. Room was spacious and clean. Temporary adult pool was ok. Way too many reserved chairs that were not being used. A complete waste when there are not enough chairs to begin with. Just another way for them to make more money.
Need a better system for guests who are over 18 to enter the adult pool. Kept telling my daughter every day she could not be there when she is 19. They were not even nice about it even when I showed them her passport. They looked at us like they didn’t believe her. Not cool and was annoying all week. Would not return sorry. Many better places with better service that make you feel like they actually want you there.

I booked at the Cove because I wanted to go to the adult pool Cain. It was closed and under construction and there was no notice of this, otherwise I would have stayed at a different hotel or different tower as the adults only aspect of it is really the best part about staying there.

The images of The Cove make it look like a modern hotel, but don't be fooled, that's simply the reception area. The actual Cove accommodation is very similar to other parts of the hotel and in my opinion, isn't much of an upgrade and certainly not worth the price difference. Rooms are relatively old fashioned and could really do with an upgrade. Most disappointing was the balcony furniture which is super cheap, low quality and definitely not something you would want to sit on for anything other than putting on your shoes. And the prices for food booze: Save up! You'll need to.

We have always loved staying at the Cove and have been coming here since it first opened. First, the Cove pool is closed (relocated to a previously vacant pool area) until December. We were not informed of this prior to booking.At check-in at the hotel we were still not informed about the pool closure, nor that work was being done on the Cove rooms Monday through Saturday 8am-6pm. They also did not inform us that both poolside restaurants at the Reef and the Cove were also closed. Not only did we have to find this all out on our own, once we did find out and contacted the front desk staff, they offered no compensation in room upgrade, decreased pricing, or any type of “perk” to correct the situation for disgruntled frequently returning guests. Additionally, once at the “relocated pool” location, the nearest woman’s restroom was a 10 minute walk away to the children’s pool. These restrooms were always out of toilet paper, showed no sign of maintenance, and many of the stall doors didn’t even lock. For those traveling with young children, the absence of door locks on bathroom stalls would alarm me.
The Cove remodeling could have gone much better if it had been better-planned, and guests were alerted with some good PR prior to the remodel. Upgrades, discounts, and offering perks (free water and soda to start would have been nice), and a lot better customer service, would have gone a long way!!

The property is older and the cove rooms are worn and need to be refreshed as do the bathrooms. Big complaint about pool water temperature being too cold -- we did not swim at all in the pool, and it is the main reason for being there. Pool temps should be much warmer and advertised as other resorts do. We will not come back as other resorts have much warmer pool temps.
Not enough beach chairs with sun covers at the cove beach or the pool. -- these 2 activities are the main reason people choose to come here -- so really needs to be addressed -- a truly lovely resort - if they can attend to these items

Overall, this is a nice property with lots for families to do. I will say this is the costliest vacation I’ve had in quite some time. The restaurants are way over priced. The cabana’s and daybeds at the beach are the most expensive I’ve ever paid with the worst service. If you are looking for a relaxing “cabana day” this is not the hotel. We weren’t brought towels or ice to our cabana and were given a very limited menu of food to choose from.

The spa is under construction, however, you still pay premium spa prices even though there is not relaxation room and your service takes place in a standard hotel room.

I will say the staff at the Cove pool were great as well as the wait staff at Seafire Steakhouse. That was our best dinner.

We were excited by all the posted reviews. Booked figuring despite the cost it would be worth it however maintenance closed straight path to the cove pool and had to walk around for the remainder of our stay with three kids in transit. Room was not well cleaned - dust on mirror, glass tables, jellybeans on floor and room smelled of dirty sulfur water (horrible brushing teeth) and the water ran on toilet for 10min . Interesting what hard earned money can get you. That said kids loved the water park and fitness center was nice.

The hotel was beautiful, however there were a few details that were overlooked and some water issues.

The whole week we were there we did not have hot water in the shower and were told it was because of the high occupancy. There were also some basics in the room that were missing such as wineglasses, corkscrew and when we asked we were told there would be a delivery charge to get them.

The bathrooms at the beach/pool that are shared with the Reef were out of order because they had low water. Garnishes on drinks were missing some days because they “ran out” and it often felt overcrowded with cruise ship guests.

The staff however were very friendly and helpful.

PROS: great location, beautiful beaches, many restaurants on site, MOST of the staff were friendly, easy to get to the other Atlantis hotels

CONS: one beach staff literally took our umbrella from our lounger that we got up early to grab to give to another patron because she complained about not having one (because she came to the beach late) - obviously this would not be a problem if they had enough umbrella loungers! But there were so little of them and half of them were broken; WE WERE LAYING IT IN WHILE HE TOOK IT and ignored our protests.

The check out staff was so short when I asked if the large deposit they took during check in was applied to the total balance that we owed during check out; she spoke to us like we were idiots.

The spa. If you are renovating then perhaps don’t be open for business because you don’t know this until you show up and it is not in the spa area and you have zero spa amenities; it was like a doctor’s office.

The sulfur smell and taste in the water…drinking water, washing & bathing water.

The place was nice and lots to do around the resort. The reason I give this a 4 star is our bath tub was not clean it had hair and eyelash clusters around the tub. Also there was a loud alarm going off for 10 to 15 min we called and asked what the alarm was and they said it was testing at 6:30am and some other people on different floors said they did that at 4;00 in the morning. The food was absolutely expensive and not worth the price we were pretty disappointed in the food but everything else was fine!

The entrance to the Cove resort is a sight to see! Even better at night! The staff are very friendly and ensure anything you need is taken care of. They have a great selection of restaurants and a shuttle that takes you to any of the Atlantis locations. No vehicle is needed other than a private vehicle to and from the airport. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

The hotel was very nice, and I enjoyed staying in The Cove since it was the least busy tower. It was mostly occupied by couples and families, which made it feel calm and relaxed. The room itself was quite outdated, and the shower water had an unusual smell. Overall, the food and service were good, and I had a great time.
