We stay here every time we are in Taupo. Ross is a wonderful host, so friendly and obliging. The rooms are amazing…we stay in the beautiful ‘cottage’ most times. The motel is dog friendly so we bring are fur babies. Location is PERFECT. Love having the Two Mile Bay sailing club literally over the road.

This was a great place to stay, just outside the town, which was a short easy drive to get to. We only had one night here, but could have stayed longer. The washing machine and dryer was all free and they also provided powder, although we had brought our own with us. When we were there the plums on the tree had just ripened and we were allowed to take some, which was really nice. Close to Huka Falls and Aratiiatia Rapids, that releases water a few times a day and a real must to see. Also close by is Otumuheke stream, which is a free hot pool in the river, absolutely brilliant.

We are a retired couple from Australia visiting NZ for the first time. We had booked this accommodation before leaving home, so hoped we had done our research well enough. We were not disappointed! Although about 3 km from the centre of town, it’s location is still very good; just a short stroll from the lake front and its wonderful path. And just a 5 minute drive if you wanted to visit the busy part of town.

Superb place to stay. The room was so much better than expected. You can tell the owners take pride in cleanliness and presentation. It was immaculate. The location is incredible. Literally across the road from the water. We were able to take our two small dogs too which was perfect…we only went because of their pet friendly policy. We got a warm and friendly welcome from Jill. Her son was great when we checked out too. We will DEFINITELY be coming back to stay here again.

This Motel is great, great service - I booked only 20 mins before I arrived, the heater was turned on in the room and it was nice and warm, it had a nice new kitchenette with cooking facilities, also with a fridge freezer which was handy to refreeze my ice packs. I was also stoked as they had sky sport so I could watch the super rugby on Saturday night - the only issue was that the bed was so comfy that I fell asleep during the second half. This is where I will stay when in Taupo from now on, Cheers

We were put in the 'granny flat' at the back, not the newer units at the front. The germ-killing dispenser in the reception didn't work & the dispenser on the sink didn't have a label on it, so we didn't know what it was. It was hard getting our bags up the steps to the flat & when we needed to get some breakfast in the morning, it was hard moving the car out where we were told to park as we were tucked into a corner. Beautiful park view out the back, though.
