The self fill mineral pool was fantastic!!! Six foot across - so relaxing. The bed was huge and super comfortable and the room even had a partial view of the lake. The garden was beautiful and the staff just lovely. Only suggestion would be that some of the wooden furniture surfaces need a sand down and revarnish and the plastic above the pool and the shower also need a refresh. Will definitely be back!

After a complaint they refunded a small amount back which was much appreciated. Too bright to sleep downstairs but upstairs was most pleasant.

As a basic resort type motel, it tick most boxes on a value for money basis. Spacious studio room, and shower room. A fully equipped kitchenette and the thermal bathroom was a plus. A super high pressure shower. TV fade was frequent if you came to watch it. Could be weather conditions at the time. Lovely rose garden layout with bbqs and a laundry. Happy to spend another 2 nights or more.

We stayed as a family with our 2 children so it was very nice being able to set them up on the fold out double bed in front of the tv down stairs while the adults enjoyed a beautiful mineral spa in the private shelters spa room and a movie upstairs.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Phoenix Resort when we were in Taupo for a soccer tournament. Our room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The scrambled eggs and eggs benedict from the cafe on the property were favorites with my ravenous son!

A lovely little resort, just what i needed for a quick stay, although you could get comfy with a cafe now on site. Lovely Host welcoming us in. It has been done up since i stayed there last, love the Thermal spa was just what i needed after a week of skiing. You can hear the cars from the main road, but didn't bother us too much. Wifi wasn't that strong, which frustrated our 2 teenagers, and it didn't have Sky TV, which annoyed my Husband hehe.

It was overall a great 2 night getaway.
It was close to the Center of town, close enough to walk, which we did.
The staff were friendly, the place was clean and tidy, the only issue I had was the spa area was full of cobwebs and spiders were crawling everywhere, and there were a few flies that we couldn't get rid of.
I also would have preferred a room at the back as we we right in the front - no.1 - and road traffic was loud.
