I enjoyed my stay at Tokyo Green Palace. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The hotel is right by a train stop (1-2 minute walk) and most food options are within a 10-15 minute walking distance. The room is cleaned per request. I have seen a lot of people talk about the room size, but it didn’t bother me as much since I spent most of my time traveling around the city. If you’re efficient with space usage, the room is perfectly fine. I plan on visiting Tokyo again and utilizing this place for my stay.

Bathrooms didn’t smell great. Later found out it was mold. Also it sucks having to put in you key card to start up the electricity in the room. Especially in the hot summer days. Customer service was amazing though. Very friendly staff. plus 7/11 is right across the street for those late night cravings :)

The place is generally dated. Staff are nice enough but don’t expect hotel-quality services. It’s a facility to provide accommodation services to its members (municipal government employees) as part of the employment benefits. If it’s included in your hotel package, sure, but it is not worth to pay 1400 yen pp for the breakfast buffet. There are a couple of very nice cafes nearby.

This hotel is further away from shops than we realized. This is more of a residential/business area. However, that also means it was very quiet at night. We were next to a police station, so there were cops everywhere. We joked that we have never felt safer in Japan than here, which is funny because Japan is overall very safe anyways.
The room was large for the hotel type. We had two twins beds that were actually twin sized and not tiny. The linens were very clean and soft and the bathroom was clean too. I wish there was some type of air circulation in the bathroom, but that's normal for the wet room cubicle style washrooms here. The AC in the room wasn't the best. We ended up leaving one of our hotel room keys in the slot all day, even when we weren't there, to keep the AC going so as not to have a humid and hot room for most of the day. There is an air purifier/humidifier in the room and as long as you use Google translate or can read kanji you are able to turn off the humidifier function and just have the air purifier fan on high to circulate the air in the room. The staff were helpful at check in but they seemed a little hesitant to offer any extra service or help because of the language barrier. Totally understandable. They were pleasant though. Next time, we will book a hotel closer to the shops or things to do and not such a suburban/business area.

Great location to start out from to see Tokyo. Imperial Palace within walking distance (west side, you do have to walk all the way around though to access it; or take a subway).

Single room is VERY small, but more than ok for one person and doable for two.

Hotel staff very helpful with providing extra support like wifi egg, adapter, iron, etc.

Overall, I thought it was a nice hotel. Compared to other hotels in the Tokyo area, I thought it was a good price for the quality you get.

The room was small but that's standard in Tokyo. The entire place was very clean and the staff was very nice. I really liked the design the of the rooms as it has more of a modern taste to it.

Exactly as advertised.

We enjoyed a 2 week stay in Tokyo Green Palace. It is in the business district so it is very quiet, and central, so you can travel to all areas of tokyo in a short amoint of time. There is not much going on in the area but it is right next to the Yurakucho metro line and a short walk from several other lines. It is in walking distance of a few good restaurants, the Imperial Palace and a Japanese war museum.
If you are planning on staying out late and walking back to your hotel, this is probably not the best hotel for you. But if you plan to be back before the last trains, it is ideal.
The rooms are small but very comfortable and quiet. There is air conditioning and the shower and bath are great. The staff are very friendly and speak english. They helped us to book a taxi and figure out our way to the airport on our last day.
We didnt try the restaurant so I cannot comment on that.
I would be happy to stay here again on my next visit to Tokyo, especially at the price we booked it for!

hotel appears fairly new on the outside, but the rooms and bathrooms smell a lot. had to sleep with the air purifier all night long. chose not to take shower in the room's bathroom because it appeared very unclean.
but close to many subway lines, about 5 min walking distance. also near a JR station, 10 min walk from the hotel. opted out of breakfast, but there are not a lot of places into eat around the hotel unless you walk 10 mins, so if you need to start you day early, breakfast at the hotel may be a good idea as the breakfast room/bar appears nice.

Good location, very nice staff, but small room

The check in was fine, and the staff were all friendly, but the room was exceptionally small even by Tokyo standards. The location is very quiet and residential, with easy access to Imperial Palace and metro. My primary concern is the very small size of the room and the nagging smell of cigarette smoke in the room that was persistent during our three night stay. If you hate cigarettes as much as we do, find a AirBnB or hotel with window opening options to let in fresh air. Oh, and the view was boring. Although the price was good.

We didn't check in till after 11pm & checkout at 10am. The hotel is only cuple of minutes away from a subway station, and 2 train stations, which make it easy to visit other part of Tokyo. The room was rather small but clean. We did manage to have a good sleep.

Tokyo greem palace review

We came from Canada and stayed at this place for 4 nights. The room was great; my friend and I had no trouble feeling comfortable in the twin room that we got. It was very close to the Tokyo imperial palace, and also a 10 minute walk to many subway stations.

First off, if you are looking to shop nearby after returning to your hotel at night - then this is probably not the hotel for you. Located beside a TV station, there is only a convenience store, an Italian and Korean restaurant nearby, unless you walk even further down. Even so, this is nowhere near a shopping district.

For those who don't particularly mind how little the surrounding offers - this hotel is conveniently located between 3 stations, in which you can get on different train lines to help you reach a particular destination through different routes.

The room is a little small for people who are travelling with big luggage, as there is little walking space between your bed and the TV on the wall. Within the room, you can find some amenities like an electric kettle, a mini fridge, an alarm clock, basic toiletries and TV. You can make international call and call between rooms with no extra charges.

Despite being small, it is at least comfortable to rest through the night, not to mention that both the room and the toilet is very clean to use.

They also serves morning buffet at 1,000 yen at the hotel's basement B1 if you want. (The restaurant serves Italian/Japanese food)

Worked for what I needed

Since I wasn't planning on spending much time in the hotel room, it worked well for me. The room is pretty small but I travel pretty light. (if you are one of the "turtle" people that have to take your entire house with you, this is probably not the place for you.) and the room has some cool toys and amenities(if you have room, you might want to pack your favorite pillow though) . New razor and toothbrush every day, fridge, coffee maker, pants presser room safe and air ionizer. Staff has limited English skills but are very helpful and pleasant. Very close to the subway and once you get used to the system, you are pretty much within 15 min of everything n central Tokyo.

Claustrophobic room

The room was overwhelmingly claustrophobic, I knew it was going to be small however was shocked by the reality of the tiny size of this room and low ceiling. I’m only 5’9” and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. No closet or space to store luggage and a microscopic bathroom with one very dim light, when you sit on the tiny commode your knees touch the wall and forget about shaving the vanity is only about 24’ off the floor. On the plus side it was affordable and the room (not the bathroom) was modern and clean and the hotel location is in a good and quiet area. I would recommend getting a room with two beds even if you are a couple; they are larger however have the same tiny bathroom. I toured the elegant and historic Tokyo Station Hotel while in Tokyo and will definitely spend the extra money for a better accommodation the next time.

This is your typical Tokyo hotel for the price you are paying. Small rooms, basic house keeping and weird location.

This neighbourhood is very quite at night being a business district but as easy access to a train station to get you anywhere in tokyo only 2 minutes away.

The rooms where your small but the beds (which double for a couch) where pretty uncomfortable and the room was rather stuffy - it was autumn at the time.

The staff where always available to help out and where nice.

Overall for the price it was reasonable but would probably look for a better location next time.

Good, but location isn't for everyone

Stayed only one night. Rooms are good. a/c works properly, clean, and modern design.
Drawback is the residential neighborhood. Not much food variety or excitement available by foot. There is a station really close by, but you almost definitely need to change to get somewhere interesting.
Convenience stores are nearby.
Not the kind of hotel that has a taxi rank outside and limo bus doesn't stop here. Not a landmark hotel so Taxi drivers need address to find it.
Probably good if you have a business trip and just want to sleep there, otherwise the location is cumbersome.

As in the case with most hotels in many countries, the rooms were somewhat small, but these were laid out very well. If we were to return to Tokyo we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Newly renovated hotel except for the bathroom

Unfortunately, we are non-smokers and there was only smoking rooms available at the time of reserving. Thought we might get lucky when we arrive and that the staff would be able to change the room, but it was not possible (because the room was paid in advance). The smell of cigarette did incommodate us so do not go for it if you are a non-smoker. The room is recently revoted, but for some reason they did not touch the bathroom which is a bit dated. Location is quiet with a 7-Eleven on the corner. However, harder to connect using the subway from this hotel and almost no restaurant within 5 minutes walk.

The room is small as expected from the previous reviews! Hardly any space to walk around - but after adventures it was straight to bed for me anyways! The staff were friendly and very helpful with directions and phone calls - check out / in was very smoothe even accommodating to earlier check ins despite me unexpectedly showing up. The subway stations and JR stations are within walking distance.

NARITA AIRPORT to HOTEL: I bought the NARITA express ticket and got off at shinjuku station. From there I took the JR Chuo/Sobu Line to Ichigaya station (lifts are easily accessible here as opposed to Kojimachi Station [although it's 1min walk away from hotel] and from Ichigaya station it's about a 7 min walk straight towards 'freshness burger' or the Starbucks there. You'll eventually see a 7-11 and you're to turn left (across the road) into the little side road and your destination is on the left :)

Very affordable. Only complaint is the location. It is close to the metro but to get home from marunouchi (red) line there is a long walk (15 minutes) to transfer to yarakucho (yellow) line. Red line is prob one of the main line that leads to shinjuku (where we always ended up when we made day trips outside of tokyo to take the odakyu or tokyo station (to take Shinkansen). Also there are no elevators in the subway exit so we had to drag our luggage up several stairs.

A very comfortable, helpful and good value hotel right next to the metro and a 7-11 ( essential for the cashpoint for foreign bank cards). The dinner was excellent and a wide choice for breakfast which was also cheap. Nice restaurants in the area as well. Room was compact but had everything you need. Staff spoke good English and were very polite and helpful.

A great stay with minor flaws.

Let me start by saying I enjoyed my stay immensely. The rooms are typically small with no wardrobe, but that is something I am used too in Japan generally. The reception staff were helpful but I did not need their services for anything more than checking in and out (English was limited). There is an option not to have your room cleaned each day in which case they only change the towels (the bed wasn't even made which did surprise me). The location was excellent in my view as Kojimachi was only a 3 minute walk (number 6 exit is the nearest but be aware there are many steps and no elevator). Yotsuya is the nearest JR station and is about a 10/15 min walk. Both stations offer good services into Shibuya and Shinjuku respectively. The hotel's location is very quiet at night as it's in a business district but be aware that if you need to travel early in the morning be prepared to walk through a wave of people coming from both stations. The minor flaws were I thought the dusting of the room could have been a little better and the slight smell in the bathroom, both of which were not a big problem for me. I would stay here again.

A nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were a bit small, but no more than most Tokyo hotels. Even though my room was non-smoking it smelled of smoke for some reason but I don't know if other rooms suffer from this as well.
Poor location with very little nearby (except an excellent Indian restaurant on the corner). Close to the metro, but the line it is on does not connect well to any tourist locations or shopping areas.

So, I stayed before in other hotels in Tokyo, they probably as expensive as this hotel but at least they have OFURO service,, earth water . or just regular water, this hotel, is expensive with no special service .. they are not flexible at all in terms of changing reservation.. I don:t recommend it .. try other hotels , u get better services l.. also movie channel is not free in this hotel, other hotels offer it for free ... I m not satisfied .. the bathroom was lil smelly .. no good ventilation

This is quite a fairly nice hotel. My stay did not come with a breakfast so need to pay 1200 yen which start from 7 - 9.30 so be there early. Had my fill for the breakfast. The overall stay was good. Nice hotel to be in.

Hotel can be reach from ichigata or kohimachi station.
From Haneda airport you need to change 3 times of your transportation type if using mrt and monorail (not sure about limousine bus to that area).
For young traveler this hotel are good, for traveller who bring young kids or parents, need to re-consider of choosing this hotel due to you need to 'walk' if you have to find your own transportation. (Meaning if you are not using tour travel services).
Hotel service are great.

Japanese "Business" Hotel

If you are staying in Tokyo for a couple of nights on business and need somewhere just to sleep then this is fine. It is one of those typical business hotels where the room is fully appointed but everything is roughly 2/3 the size it should be. Rooms are small, if you have a suitcase there is no where to put it without blocking access to the bathroom or door. Staff are friendly and helpful but only speak Japanese.

Good value in a great neighborhood

Tokyo Green Palace is located near the Imperial Palace, Kojimachi metro station, and the Kitamaru Park. Nearby, the area offers a variety of restaurants. Using the metro line, a visitor can reach Shinjuku's parks, Shibuya's shopping, and Yurakucho's central area.

Tokyo Green Palace has a great Japanese and smaller Western breakfast buffet.

The rooms are typical for Japan -- small, efficiently furnished, and well-decorated. The bathrooms are great.

Good value in a Tokyo's prestigious Chiyoda-ku.

A very pleasant surprise! A little gem of Tokyo!

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights without expecting much due to budget constraints and I wasn't too sure about the location. All I knew was it was between Tokyo Station and Tokyo Disneyland.

Yes the room was small. Very small in fact but has ALL the amenities you'd expect... from a safe deposit box all the way to an ironing board, air cleaner, LED lighting the works! They really worked their magic to make the room as comfortable as possible in such a small space.

Super clean, up-to-date styles and just works.

I paid more for other hotels during my trip to Japan but this was one of my personal favourites. Breakfast wasn't fantastic but for 1000 yen, it was pretty good.

Location wise, this hotel has at least 3 subway lines in close proximity. So getting around is really convenient. There's Tokyo Subway Line about 2 mins away if you're heading to primary areas like Shinjuku or Tokyo station - they've got a JR station nearby (about 5-10 mins walk) which has an express train that takes you to Shinjuku in 1 stop and Tokyo Station in about 3 - amazing!

Highly highly recommended. Oh, and there's Denny's (Japanese version) on the way to the JR station too. Drop by for a pretty interesting Japanican breakfast :P

Best Value...Tokyo Green Palace

Located in one of the safest, cleanest and nicest neighborhoods in Tokyo, the Tokyo Green Palace is truly a gem; for one or two adults, quite possibly the best value. True, their less expensive rooms are small and their beds are not the softest, but this hotel is quiet and the price INCREDIBLE; considering that this is a “Wall Street”- like neighborhood. The staff is cordial, nearby transit efficient (the Kojimachi Subway Station (Metro) is located just steps from the hotel, as is the JR Rail Yotsuya Station, which is just seven minutes walking, and one of the stops on the Choo Rapid Train; which means fast access to Tokyo Station for travel and Shinjuku Station for shopping). The hotel’s spectacular-looking restaurant offers a reduced-price coupon for the breakfast buffet (you must purchase the coupon at the Front Desk the night before, but it is worth it). A solid four and one-half stars; five stars for value!

Clean, modern, convenient

Metro station just around the corner, room was nice. Nothing bad to say really :) Neighborhood is very quiet so that's a plus, or a minus if you want a more nightlife oriented stay.

Acceptable, "compact" business hotel

I should preface this review by saying there's nothing really wrong with this hotel ; as one would expect in Tokyo, service was fine and rooms were clean and functional.

However... compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Tokyo (more than a dozen), the rooms in Tokyo Green Hotel were small. I don't mean tiny as in capsule hotel, but it wasn't far off! It's the only three star hotel I've ever stayed in that had zero storage space - and by that I mean no clothing shelves, no drawers, no cupboards - not even anywhere to store a suitcase!

I think in other words, if I were a business person staying here with minimal luggage it'd be fine - but not particularly great for tourists with luggage.

Would I stay here again?
No - for me there are far better hotels for the same approximate amount of money.

Cozy and Convenient

The Tokyo Green Palace is a quaint hotel tucked into a quiet neighborhood. I stayed with one other person in our room. We didn't mind that the room was cozy because we were outside 15+ hours per day, and only used the hotel for storage and sleeping. My room was non-smoking with a double bed, which comfortably fit 2 people. The station is located near 3 stations: Kojimachi, Ichigaya, Yotsuya. Also, there are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby.

Affordable stay in Tokyo

Tokyo Green Palace is an affordable stay in Tokyo. Rooms are modern and clean, but extremely small... like REALLY small. It is simple and basic and I think more suited towards business travelers. The area is safe and quiet. About a 7-8 min walk to Yotsuya station. It had everything I needed - clean room, comfy bed, hot shower, and free wi-fi. If you're looking for a cheap, basic room in a fairly pricey city, this is for you.
