Overall a win.

This hotel was generally a good choice it just had been loved a bit since the photos were taken. The water pressure in the showers was fantastic and the hot water got HOT! The step up into the shower was tricky as I slipped a time or two. The balcony in our room was nice since the AC wasn’t working the best. It was pretty cool outside so we didn’t make a fuss with the staff. The clean/filter water station in the lobby was amazing, even though sadly the bubbly water side never seemed to work. The hotel staff were always super helpful and friendly. The neighborhood seems up and coming which makes sense for the area. There were both local and chain restaurant dining options nearby but our favorite was the bakery next store. Take note of the distance from the city or moments… I did not and it’s about $20-30 Uber into Paris from this location. Elevators/lifts worked great and were almost always ready. Subway/metro was close-ish but always was pretty packed going to this stop. I would stay here again based on my experience, however the location from the city will likely prevent me from doing so, which has nothing to do with the hotel.

Loved how clean and comfortable the hotel was and how clean, comfortable and spacious our room was. Staff was kind and welcoming. We were walking distance from a cute brunch spot (Brunchies), cafes (e.g. Manolo Bakes) dining options, shopping, and transit. We were also a very short transit ride to Las Ramblas. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit this beautiful city.

The receptionist at check-in was very friendly and helpful. He allowed us to store our bags in the hotel’s storage room since we arrived early and couldn’t check in yet.

The hotel is very eco-friendly; instead of providing plastic bottles of water in the room, they offer unlimited access to fresh, cool, and delicious water near the reception.

The only downside was that the room key cards expired every day during our 5-day stay, which was quite inconvenient. Each day, we had to wait at the door until one of us could go to the reception to have the card reprogrammed. One time, we had to wait nearly 10 minutes as the receptionist was busy checking in another guest.

The room itself was relatively small, but thanks to the upgrade offered by the receptionist, we had a room with a balcony.

A convenient and comfie stay!

My friend and I booked this hotel for a short stay in the city and really enjoyed our accommodations!

The hotel itself is nicely-located, with Garibaldi station just a short walk away! We used this station for most of our traveling around the city, but there’s also the Saint Ouen station not too far in the other direction! The area also felt safe overall, and we walked through the neighborhood at night several times over with no issues! The best thing about the location, though, is the grocery store that is practically adjacent to the hotel! We stopped in there so many times for food, drink, etc, and the guy running it was so sweet! There’s also a pharmacy right next to the grocery store and a Dominoe’s for late night eats!

We really appreciated that the hotel also had water dispensers in the lobby! This was great for filling up our water bottles to carry throughout the day in the summer heat!

The staff was also kind and the front desk held our bags for us for a few hours on our last day which was greatly appreciated!

Rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little barren, but our particular room had a wonderful west-facing window where the sunset really lit up the room beautifully!

Honestly would stay here again if we find ourselves in Paris in the future!

This supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I don't know why they rate hotels in Europe so bad. To me this was the equivalent to 1 star or hostal. Bad service, only one person in a small reception, we had to wait in line for check in. Very small room, the windows were so dirty, I don't think they cleaned them ever, no TV in English or other options. For not having any amenities they could do better. Overall dirty, the reception smelled bad. Location was ok, bad not a nice neighborhood.

I thought its a 4 star hotel so il book regardless of the negative reviews. Please do not make same mistake I did. I believe any reviews saying excellent should be taken down as they must be fraudulent.
Book only if after a 2.5 star hotel. Smell on entry to the hotel lobby was more repulsive than a public toilet. All floors smelled of wee. The hotel mentainace is none existent you can tell, toilet was broken and didnt flush, even though i brought it to their attention. Wasn't fixed till 3rd day. Honestly only book if you are after a poor quality disgusting hotel.

It serves its purpose if you are visiting the Marche aux puces but if visiting Paris as a tourist I would avoid. Far from city centre in an area I would describe as deprived. Reception staff not the friendliest or helpful either. Breakfast very good.

Good standard hotel in area not too far from the flea markets of Saint-Ouen. 2 min walk from Garibaldi Metro which is about 15 mins train time from central Paris. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable quality for the price. Hotel rooms clean and bedding comfortable. Nighttime quiet = good nights sleep.

The walls in my room where so thin I could hear everything next door from a simple sneeze to people showering to alarm going off of (7 times put on snooze). Mattress was really uncomfortable and noisy every time I turned around...
Reception was friendly but their Advice on how to make it to my meeting the next morning at 9AM made me arrive at 7:30AM. ... I like being early but not that much. Asking if an iron was available, I was told yes but no one available to bring it to my room so showed up for my meeting with creases on my outfit. not the best stay considering the type of hotel. Okay for a last minute option

We were only in Paris for 2 nights, so booked this last minute and without doing any research. Hotel was $20-30 Uber ride away from the main attractions and wasn’t an area you would want to walk at night. The hotel had a weird smell in the bathroom and our bathroom tub drain wasn’t working as well. All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again, as the customer service wasn’t great either. For example, only one person greeted us when walking into the hotel lobby during the entire stay, so it seemed like they would just let any visitor just walk right in.

A great hotel, not far from the centre.

A fantastic hotel in the suburbs of Paris. The hotel is about 10 mins away from Garibaldi on metro line 13. It takes approx. 25 mins to get from the hotel to the Arc de Triomphe and most of the other main sights, the Eiffel Tower was 30 mins away.

The hotel has a secure parking garage costing 18 Euros per day, but there are limited spaces so get there as early as you can during the day.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but there are lots of cafes on the street, including Paul's opposite the metro which is where we had breakfast each day..

We had a superior room with an extra bed for our daughter. The room and bathroom (WC and shower/bath were in separate rooms) were large and spotless. There was a fridge in the room with a free bottle of room and a kettle with some teabags and coffee sachets.

The one disappointment was that the confirmation said that check-in is from 12pm, but that is not correct. Check-in was from 3pm and when we arrived at 2pm we did wait for a good 40 minutes for our room to be prepared. However, the room really was spotless and you can't rush a good job!

Overall this was a fabulous find. We would definitely stay again.

Great Stay!

Only stayed a few days but it was great. Was celebrating my mums birthday and asked reception to do something nice and in the end they gave us complimentary wine which was lovely. Think twice before you book

I stayed in this hotel for three nights. The overall experience was just fair. The service was in general satisfactory except that the lady at the front desk was not polite and not helpful when I did the check out. She said the waiting line was closed while there was not any notice or good indication. Rather confusing as I and other guests were queuing in the front desk. Besides, there was not any housekeeping on the third day I stayed even I indicated that on the door lock. The cleanliness was just fair, even the hotel was renovated not long ago. The local area was just soso. It is not a tourist district. There are many Turkish shops nearby.

I accidentally booked this hotel thinking it was in Paris (I did not do my research) but it is just outside the ring road in an area our taxi driver described as \"undesirable, full of poverty and not French\". My expectations were low but honestly we found our stay quite enjoyable. The Garibaldi metro station is a few blocks walk away, the staff were lovely and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant has delicious meals. There are more authentic French neighbourhoods for sure but the area was diverse and I found that interesting. Great food nearby. Exceeded my expectations.

The hotel is over rated and not 4 stars.
Rooms small, initially me and wife given double bed room but with very close connecting room in which you can hear the people talking/ taking shower etc. we contacted the reception (mid night) he was very helpful/apologizing and moved us to another superior room (midnight) which was slighly better.
Neighborhood not great hotel not within walking distance to center, underground 5-10 min walk, another 15 min to reach central Paris.

We picked this hotel because it was a 20-min walk from Monetmarte. However, with tight traffic and tired feet and a great subway system, we took the subway wherever we went (except for 2 Uber rides...one was to Versailles about 40 Euro one way for 3 people...not bad). The hotel was nice enough. We never used their breakfast. 18 Euro per person is a lot. I can go across the street for a croissant and coffee for under 5 Euro. The Moroccan restaurant across the street was excellent. The hotel did have a few shows/acts that were free like a Magician, but at hours like 1830-2030. However, we did not take advantage of any of those because they were too early in the day. We were too busy seeing the beautiful sights of Paris. Had they had shows from 2030 or later, we might have made more of an effort because by then we were ready to rest. I'd give this place an almost 4 due to price and service. The people were nice but service was a little slow. We had to keep asking for things and other people left a food tray out that was not picked up all day long. Their wi-fi also was not great. We would stay there again, but it would not be our first choice.

The good with the bad

The area was convenient to the Metro, which made it easy to get to all the sites. The service was exceptional. The hotel itself was a little run down and outdated. The hallways smelled musty. The shower was moldy and the drain didn't drain properly. Linens left much to be desired, scratchy sheets and towels and the pillows were hard poly-filled. Overall, not a bad place to stay if you're not spending much time in the hotel other than to sleep.

All in all the stay wasnt bad just a few little issues. 1. The plug in the bath didnt work so the water would not vacate the bath.
2. There was one small pillow each that was no bigger than a postage stamp
3. When phoning room service for a bottle of water we were asked to come and get it

The Mercure was a satisfactory property. Check in was slow, only one front desk clerk at all times. The hallways carpets were dingy and dirty and smelled unpleasant. The room however was pretty nice linens were clean and the housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. They did give us a late check out so that was appreciated. Breakfast buffet was overpriced 18 Euro, the sites are far 20-30 minutes by metro with transfers. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

I don’t know where to start in this miserable hotel , everything is wrong from the entrance , management , location , quality , garage , food ..etc.
We reserved two rooms one standard and another one is premium. arrived to the hotel at night and met with front desk employee who simply don’t speak English , we ended up with two creepy room with a lower quality than a motel room ( A/C don’t work , old and broken aluminum windows , noisy , dirty rooms ) .
Couldn’t accept the rooms and requested to speak to the supervisor Louise who refused to meet or provide her name, she remained hiding behind her back office window watching the complaint with the front desk staff , Eventually I met with her that second day and complaint about the quality of everything and warned her that I will put a bad review the response was “ we will delete it “
Location :The hotel is located is a saint ouen area and in dangerous neighborhood , walking around is not advisable , apparently the hotel catering groups travelers who come and leave in a tour bus .
Room Quality : Small, Very old and dirty rooms , noisy and you can hear the street noise even with the old aluminum windows are closed .
Distance from Champ elysees : Taxi will charge 35-45 Euro .
Breakfast : the breakfast served in a lobby area and it a very basic breakfast , mainly croissant and jam . The staff seems to be untrained on how to handle the breakfast area or it seems this was their first day

Lovely Small Hotel

This was our first trip to Paris, so we knew very little about hotel options, but could not have been happier with the Mercure. The staff was warm and welcoming and very accommodating to every request (3 beds instead of the double/single we booked; holding luggage after checkout). The hotel is an easy walk from a subway stop and the neighborhood has a variety of cafes. There was a bustling street market most days and we felt like we were living a a real neighborhood. It is not in the center of the city, but we found that to be a plus.

We stood 4 days and the soap was not provided even when I asked for it. The neighborhood was not good, the room is very small, the room was not cleaned property.

Location is nice - 400m walk from Garibaldi station (Metro line 13) which in Zone 2 of Paris region.
Staffs are very friendly and helpful, esp the receptionist Akram keeps helping us with ice-cube request every night.
Room is small but clean. There is AC but not working well so the room is pretty hot even we set at lowest. Wifi is very slow and keeps kicking out.
Pretty lower than what I would expect at a 4-star Mercue but clean and tidy enough. More to me like a 3-star.

Recently renovated with helpful staff

Jan 2018 - So a recently renovated room on the second floor. A nice comfortable sized room with plenty of Space, the
Bathroom is set up as a shower wet room and is more than ample. New comfortable bed and quiet working AC. Not ideal for working in the room for anything more than reading a few emails. So much better than my last stay here. the staff on reception were warm and welcoming. The restaurant staff (well main man) still cannot manage to smile but I am sure it is just his personality as he was totally professional.
access is good Via Car tho the parking is very tight so ensure you have a city car!
A visit to the restaurant was good the menu offered a reasonable selection and there were fixed menu options. The food quality was good, Excellent pink Lamb one day and perfect Duck on another. It really is personal preference and taste but for me the portions were just about right and the flavours excellent clearly the Chef cares.

Breakfast was a good selection but a bit crazy as there was a Japanese tour group in so my timing was not the best tho the staff tried their best to service the tables Why a single person sits at a table for 6 I will never know?

We decided to stay in this area as we were going to a game at Stade de France. At the end, even if the hotel is close to the stadium (30 minutes walk, more or less), the area is not very nice and we would have rather stay in a different arrondisement and take the metro to the stadium. Lucklily for us, the hotel is very nice indeed, staff is super friendly and the bar closes at midnight so you can have a last beer before going to sleep without having to wonder around the area looking for that last one.

Don't be optimistic like me.

Positives: bed was super comfy. Service at check in was friendly, gym was ok (dumbbells to 5kg, rower, cross trainer, treadmill)
Negatives: we got a free upgrade to a room that had windows that faced a communal balcony, people could see into the bathroom. Our doors to our balcony would not open at all, still seems to be issues with the air con, the servicing of the rooms wasn't great (we stayed 3 nights), the neighbourhood is unpleasant and it's not a great location if you are in Paris to see the city (a little too far out). I would not stay here again, the neighbourhood really brings down this hotel and even for the price it's not worth it.

Nice hotel in a decent neighborhood. Metro is a 5 minute walk and will take you wherever you want or need to go for under 2euro. Maps at the metro are very clear and easy to navigate. So if you are on a budget, this would be a good hotel to consider.

A nice hotel in an unusual location

We stayed for 2 nights on our way south and I have to say the hotel is much better than expected. It's clean, comfortable and quiet. A few things needed a bit of maintenance but nothing big. It's 5 minute walk to Garibaldi metro station which is out of town but we really enjoyed the contrast.

Decent hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff. However fresh paint smell lingering in the corridor and lifts but they don't open the doors to let a breeze in? Area surrounding is Not an attractive part of Paris but location was suitable for me. Hotel could pull up the weeds in the flower beds outside the door and make arrival more attractive. Would stay here again.

AC is not working well

Within 5 minutes walk to garibaldi metro station, safe area, near supermarket.
Hotel under renovation and it quite disturbing in 9 am.
Room is quite hot during my stay for 3 nights. I complain about this but until my leaving, the ac is still hot.
