Worst hotel ever

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was like a prison. Internet does not work. Bed was not comfortable. No shower gel and just really bad experience. The only good thing was the area. That’s all

It is good value for money just outside Paris postcode but within 2 min walking distance of the train station putting you just 10-15 min away from Central Paris or La defence. Clean and decent sized but bathroom requires a redo. Nice and friendly staff makes it an excellent choice for a Paris trip on a budget

Excellent hotel 15mins from Paris

From the reception that offered me a free breakfast buffet to the perfectly white duvet cover the stay was nearly perfect.
Charming people at the reception, great and complete breakfast (yogurt, cereal, fresh croissant, bread pastries, juice, expresso...)
An unexpected surprise for the price. Especially considering that I stayed at the hotel across the street (for the same price) the week before and it was a disaster. Lots of restaurants and bakeries on the street...close to the train station.

This is a 3 start hotel. You shouldn't expect too much. I stayed only for two nights. The price were reasonable considering the location. Even thought it was clean, the toilet smell was unpleasant on the third floor. Apart from that everything was ok.

The building is up to date with elevator but no air conditioning.The hotel is across the street from a suburban rail line but not really close to RER or Metro. The neighborhood is a safe community of real Parisians not tourists. This is the authentic Parisian experience.

#1. I loved the location. The hotel is basically right next to the train station.

Only down was no AC in the room. We got one fan but it was not enough we requested another one and we got it right away. Fortunately only one day was extremely hot the next days were great. I forgot we got a Great price too!

It wasn't in a great location and parking was difficult. The staff was very nice, but the hallways and the room had a smell to them. Opening the windows helped but had to shut them at night because of the loud restaurants and across the street.

Not that it’s Hotel Briand’s fault, but we stayed there during an unseasonable heat wave. Unfortunately Hotel Briand does not have air conditioning and they also did not have enough fans for guests’ rooms either. We slept with the windows open and if you have ever stayed in Paris, it’s not the quietist City at night. It was the perfect storm of bad conditions and I’m not blaming Hotel Briand at all. The staff were extremely nice and tried to as accommodating as they could. More fans would have improved conditions under the circumstances. Otherwise it was also a great location close to public transportation and a great variety of local food.

Scorched, sweat off pounds in our sleep.

This was a stay of desperation for us, and I will spare those details. We were in Paris during a hot spell and this room was hotter than hell. It never cooled and had no AC. We were grateful for a bed but got out of the place within a day.

All hotel personnel were very helpful in every manner. Centrally located for the area. Train, taxi’s very convenient. Restaurants, convenient stores n ATM are all walking distance. A bit far from famous sites, but the location of hotel n it’s surrounding made up for such a unique area.

I was looking for a fairly priced hotel and was willing to not be inside proper Paris. The hotel is about 100 meters from a local train which connects to all of Paris trains in 2 stops. The hotel fit my needs very well and the staff was friendly too.

They gave me keys to a room that hadn't been cleaned and then eventually switched. The towels were tiny and they give you sachets of shampoo... There were no doors on bathrooms so chilly when taking a shower. I know Paris is expensive but I've had better hostels than this...

Perfect for a one night stay

We stayed here for one night. The nearest Metro station was quite a walk away (approx. 15minutes) and there isn't an awful lot to do in the immediate location, although there is a lovely bakery about 2 minutes walk down the road. The hotel was modern and clean, the rooms felt abit small but suited us just fine. If your claustrophobic you wont like the bathroom. The wifi was very good and easy to connect too. The beds were comfortable and the TV easy to use. Staff very friendly.

Hotel is very close to Train station (Not metro but you can get around city; Needless to say Paris Metro is like 100 octopus in a plastic bag..Cant help the complexity of city and so is the ticketing system)
Decent neighborhood; Breakfast is a waste, just pick something from grocery store or a Pizza from corner shop and you are better off.
Staff were all good, compared to average Paris/french rudeness scale !!
Overall a nice hotel for the price. nothing to complain

The room was nice enough, as was the view of the neighborhood. however, the reason I selected this hotel was because it said the room had three single beds. they do not; only a a double and a single. I ended up having to book a second room. Also, the walls were pretty thin, so there was room noise from other rooms. Lastly, there was no air conditioning as indicated. it worked out as it was cool in the evening and we could open the window (with noise) but I was disappointed.

Good Hotel, but they charged us TWICE

The overall experience was OK for the hotel itself, rooms are nice and cleaned but the staff was terrible (especially the elderly gentlemen). Neither of the staff speak English. We have booked this hotel through my company site which was paid for beforehand, however we were required to pay again in cash upon leaving. I have tried to explain the situation to the gentlemen but he refused to listen to me, all he said was 'You must pay in cash' and he pushed us to pay without looking at the proof of previous payment, he said he didn't understand as it was in English. We were in rush, so we had no time to argue and had to pay in the end. Very very poor customer service!!!

Pleasant surprise.

I liked this hotel very much and the price was a bargain. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was not provided but only cost 8€. The neighbourhood is nice and not too far from the metro (15 minute walk). There are many restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel so you'll be certain to find something you like.

Lovely hotel and great staff.

My impressions from reading the reviews about hotels in Paris was that I shouldn't expect much. I was pleasantly suprised to find clean, comfortable accommodations for a good price at Hotel Briand. The staff was friendly and helpful, far beyond expectations. My bed was cozy and the bathroom was very nice and included a bathtub which was exactly what I needed after walking and biking around Paris all day.

Great for what we were looking for

Location: this is in levallois, right outside of paris- you have the TRAIN right a block next to hotel that takes u to paris main places in just few mins. U also have the metro but its a few blocks away. U have different restraurants and couple bars around the area and apparently from what we heard of parisians its a great area. We felt safe and good.
Room: wifi worked great, the hotel was clean, just a bit small as all europeans hotels but for us it was fine. If u want extra towels they give u, but one of the ppl who works there wanted to charge us, so we said no and when we got back to hotel we asked to the next man and he gave us without problem.
They give u a safe if u ask, but its the type that ppl can pick up and take it with them so be careful.
There was a bit of noise one night with neghbor rooms but we asked them to be quiet and it was fine

The guy that works there at night does not speak a word of english or spanish, only french, which was a problem for uS, bec we had some questions and he wouldnt even try to understand he would just say tomorrow english (referring to wait until the next guys shift)

Btw- we also walked to champs elysee like 4 times its a beautiful 40-45 min walk

Overall we are very happy bc hotels right in the center of paris were much more expensive.

Independent French hotel

The reception staff were friendly and spoke english well enough. The breakfast wasn't necessarily worth the 8 euro charge, but was filling and tasty and beat attempting to communicate with Parisians at a restaurant or cafe. The room and hallways were very clean and new in the 1960s, but today seemed run down and worn. If you're not planning on spending a lot of time in your room then this place is good. If you are, look for someplace more comfortable.

The hotel was a 2 minute walk from the surface train line, but since that station was in Zone 2, it was somewhat confusing as to how best to get to the tourist parts. We ended up walking about 20 minutes to the Porte de Clichy station which was able to take us easily to the Champs Elysees the Catacombs, and the Eiffel tower. The walk was a little scary at first, but once you realize all of Paris is like that the neighborhood doesn't seem so bad anymore.

I'm not sure I'd stay here again...I think I'd rather spend the extra money to stay somewhere nicer and closer to the city center.

Great service and amazing value

Great value given the location; friendly owners on-site and whilst room furnishings are on tired side (revamp underway) both the room and bathroom where large for Paris. 10 mins walk to metro and numerous bars, cafes and restaurants in the area. Also close to large shopping mall (with M&S food hall!).

Je n'ai pas l'habitude de laisser des avis sur hôtel.com car j'ai plus important à faire mais la ça vaut le détour 😉
Le personnel est sympatique et accueillant, rien n'a dire. L'hôtel est âgée la décoration des parties communes est des années 50 avec des parties en travaux. La 1ère chambre que j'ai eu était vieille et très mal insonorisée, on n'entends les voisins du dessus marché et les voyageurs dans les couloirs. La 2ème chambre plus correct mais des malfaçons dans la salle de bain entraînant beaucoup d'eau sur le sol. Bruit des voyageurs du dessus et dans le couloir, la terrasse est en travaux avec des bandes de planche à l'arrière. Je ne vous conseille pas cette hôtel.

Einfaches Hotel, sauberes Zimmer. Bett war recht klein, ca. 1,40m breit und nur 1,80m lang. Frühstück nicht sonderlich vielfältig, aber alles frisch und von guter Qualität. Personal sehr freundlich. Lage etwas außerhalb von Paris, mit Zug und Bus kommt man aber schnell ins Zentrum.

Das zimmer war Ruhig und sauber. Das personal war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Umgebung war sicher, sauber und angenehm. Das beste weg bis zum Hotel ist im Metro St. Augustin aussteigen und den Zug welche im selben gebäude ist nehmen. Nur zwei stationen mit dem Zug und im Mairie clichy aussteigen. vom Dort ist nur 3 minuten zu fuss bis zum Hotel.

Un hôtel ou il y a besoin de rénovation.
Heureusement qu'il y a un ventilateur mais il manque la clim.
Dans la salle de bain il y fait très chaud une fois que la douche est prise et très peu de pression au niveau de l'eau de la baignoire.
Trés bruyant côté rue, c'est très pénible lorsque l'on regarde la TV donc si on recherche le calme c'est très compliqué.
Les pts déjeuners sont limites par rapport aux tarifs demandés.
L'hôtel demande à y séjourner seulement deux jours et non plus.

Hotel mit Charme und freundlichem Personal

Das kleine Hotel liegt in der Pariser Vorstadt Clichy. Der Bahnhof Gare de Clichy - Levallois ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Vor dort aus fährt ca. alle 10 Minuten eine Bahn zum Bahnhof Gare Saint Lazzare. Es besteht Anschluss in alle Richtungen mit Metro, Bus und Bahn. Alle typischen Parisattraktionen sind in 20 bis 60 Minuten erreichbar. Das Viertel liegt in Tarifzone 2, mit dem Wochenticket Navigo Decouverte ist man flexibel.
Das Hotel hat Charme und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Fragen werden kompetent beantwortet, auch englisch, und bei Bedarf kann man Onlinetickets ausdrucken lassen.
Die kleinen Zimmer sind sauber und zum Schlafen ausreichend. Das Raumklima ist angenehm und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Seife, Toilettenpapier und saubere Handtücher sind immer vorhanden. Das WLAN ist bis in die Zimmer sehr gut. Der Kleiderschrank hätte für 3 Personen etwas größer sein können.
Die Umgebung ist ein Wohnviertel mit Restaurants, Bars, kleinen Supermärkten, einer Bank und wenig Verkehr. Abends hört man bei offenem Fenster die Geräusche aus der benachbarten Bar. Hat aber nicht gestört.
Frühstück kann für kleines Geld zugebucht werden. Das Angebot ist nicht üppig, reicht aber zum Sattwerden. Croissants, Baguettes, Wurst, Käse, Marmelade, Jogurt, Obstsalat und Ei. Dazu guten Brühkaffee, Tee und Erfrischungsgetränke.
Beim Frühstück im Backshop nebenan gibt es zwar mehr Auswahl, es koste aber auch mehr.
Ich kann das Hotel für einen Paristrip mit Familie bedenkenlos empfehlen.

Nous étions pour quelques jours à Paris visiter notre famille. L'hôtel Le Briand était l'endroit idéal puisque notre fille habite juste à côté. La chambre était juste suffisante, avec un mur complètement défraîchi, une douche sans porte ne permettant pas à quelqu'un d'autre de rentrer en même temps aux toilettes par exemple, pas de clim mais un ventilateur qui rafraîchissait à peine. Mais très honnêtement, le séjour fut très agréable, le personnel était irréprochable, très à l'écoute. Nous y reviendrons certainement.

Lage, Personal und Preis sehr gut - kein Komfort

In zwei Punkten ragt das Hotel (neben dem Preis!) positiv hervor: Das extrem freundliche Personal und die extrem gute Lage zum Bahnhof Levallois-Clichy, der nur 200 m entfernt ist. Das Frühstück ist sein Geld wert. Das Zimmer hat keine Klimaanlage und keinen Kühlschrank, das macht den Aufenthalt an heißen Tagen fast unmöglich.

Durchschnittliche Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Für ein Wochenende mehr als ausreichend. Besonders gut ist die Lage. Metro vor der Türe. Restaurants, Geschäfte, Bars, Tiefgarage gleich fußläufig. Hoteleigener Parkplatz mit 21€ finde ich zu teuer.

Prima locatie en prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Het treinstation ligt op 50 meter van het hotel. Bakkerij en restaurants voor de deur. De kamer was wel okee maar erg gehorig.

the hotel is a little bit in the outskirts of Paris, but there's a Train station very near, so you can go anywhere without a problem and in a very short time.
The employees are very kind and the service is good. We stayed for 3 nights and we would highly recommend it.

Rien à redire sur la chambre et l'hotel , le personnel est très aimable , juste un bémol : il est regrettable qu'ayant demandé ( réservation à l'avance et non à la dernière minute)des chambres au calme nous ayons été placés au premier étage sur rue juste en face d'un pub ouvert jusqu'à 3 h du matin

Jag har bott på Briand två nätter. Det är nära till pendeltåg och öppet runt receptionen. Rum var cirka 17-18 sq.m. Renlighet var okej på rummet och badrum men. Golvet på badrum har storrisk för halka. Vi höra ofta ljud av vattenspolning från andra badrummet. Det ligger restauranger och bageri i närheten. Det tar cirka 30 minuter till Eiffeltornet från hotellet.
