This wasn't a great hotel experience, the carpets and walls were stained and the staff weren't very friendly, apart from the guy on reception this morning who was helpful.

There is no room service, I had to go downstairs to collect some more tea bags, milk, water and towels because not only did the cleaner not leave any of these things, they left us 2 hand towels. When i asked twice go have a bath towel i was told they didnt have any. Never have i had this experience before. Won't be staying here again.

We booked the queen balcony room and it met all our expectations. The room was wonderful, spacious and clean. The balcony was also facing the exterior so we could see the beautiful Paris streets. Nicolas was fantastic. He truly went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and did so kindly. The other front desk employees were fabulous as well (I just didn't get their names!). They provided recommendations and were always a friendly face after returning from a day of exploring. I'd highly recommend if you don't mind a quieter area of Paris. It was easy to commute via bus or walk to make attractions.

They’re in a great location. They’re not located in the height of tourist traffic but they’re conveniently close to the metro and bus stops and less than 15mins from the Opera. They have the convenience of restaurants that are right outside the hotel as well. The WiFi barely worked which meant the tv and mobile rarely worked. My phone service was horrible. Other than that, that was an extremely helpful and kind. Lastly, for the price per night, you’re definitely paying for location and convenience.

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. Staff was helpful and attentive. The room was simple but practical and had everything that I needed to be comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. Not crowded at the time we went, which was early in the morning.

We were incredibly impressed with Hotel Mercure 17 Batignolles during our first visit to Paris, for my husband’s birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Seguy at the front desk. He not only remembered my niece and her husband from their first visit, but also made us feel very welcome with his friendly and helpful demeanor. We were even able to check in early, which was a lovely bonus.

The hotel’s ambiance was beautiful and relaxing, and our room was cozy, equipped with everything we could possibly wish for. The whole experience made our first Paris trip unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel and hope the management will give kudos to Seguy for his exceptional service!”

From a First time Paris visit

I just checked out yesterday. The location of the hotel is perfect if you like to walk and explore Paris. As a first time visitor to Paris the location of the hotel is great. 30min walk to Arc de Triomph. One hour walk to Eiffel Tower. Sergey, Ben, Nale, Male at the front desk were extremely helpful and did their best. The aesthetics of the hotel and room are excellent, beautiful and clean.
The one and only downside was the room cleaners who forgot to put fresh milk in the room sometimes, did not change the linen when requested and put empty milk containers in the fridge instead of new ones.
Except for that, an excellent stay and a great place for a first time Paris visitor.

Wifi is free and works very well
If youre happy to uber/taxi/bus very good, close to the Arc and the Eiffel tower
Only put 4* for location as the metro is amazing but isnt anywhere near here. So ubers were always used for our first trip out. Only 13/15 euros time dependant to the tower.

Well located with plenty of transport options to allow exploration further afield. Quiet room as requested. Good shower. Nice lobby area. Great restaurant across the road and bakery next door.
Hotel feels new on first impression but unfortunately is showing clear signs of wear, particularly with upholstery and soft furnishings. Not much storage for clothing.
Would stay again in the area but hotel feels pricey for condition/amenities/location.

Hotel maintenance and cleaning

Location is fine, I stayed at these hotel around five years ago and it was a nice place it was new. Today I was in 2 different rooms a simple one for 1 night and a bigger one for the rest of my trip. The hotel rooms both had the rug dirty, a lot of dust in different areas specially in the upper side where the mini bar is located. Bathroom one off them was even cracks in the floor panel shower didn’t work correctly due to sediments blocking the flow. Fire alarm sounded one day at 4 am and they didn’t have explanation we evacuated it smelled at something burning in the lobby they said everything under control false alarm. Not all the reception personnel is nice and speak English or Spanish. The ladies in front desk are nice but there’s a gentleman he shouldn’t work in the hotel business. For the problems in my room what they gave me was 2 complementary beverages wich didn’t use what I wanted was for them to clean the room or change to a cleaner one. Definitely not recommending these hotel.

Overall, we had a lovely stay! The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Positives- lovely area, Great hotel and good restaurants, safe neighbourhood feel, reasonable sized rooms. Negatives- Rooms were a bit dusty eg air vents/open surfaces, slight walk to nearest metro. Would recommend!

No housekeeping but tea coffee refilled!!

We checked in on Friday and went exploring the city on Saturday only to come back to a dirty room, towels and the food tray from the previous night's room service. But atleast we had tea and coffee refilled. Front desk told us they cannot assist because there was noone from housekeeping even though there should be someone there untill 22h00. On top of that, there was no manager on duty either. After multiple calls to the frontdesk, we finally got 2 clean towels. We called for late checkout at 13h00 on sunday, and 12h30 we were called to checkout. The manger processed our checkout and we took the opportunity to explain the ordeal and all she could say way im sorry and i can only offer you a discount. The point is when we raise issues, we are not necessary looking for discounts but this is how it was treated. The point is we will never stay there again, so a discount is useless

Good quality hotel let down by poor housekeeping

We booked a twin room but it was made up as a double. We had to wait for it to be made up as a twin when all we wanted to do was rest after a hot day of walking. The toiletries had already been used, the bin had not been emptied after previous guests and the mini bar had not been replenished. We were moved to another twin room eventually. On our second day our room was not made up. A good quality hotel let down by poor house-keeping and slack management.

Rooms are small but functional. No toiletries provided, and only one bottle of water for 2 people. Room was nice but the amenities/service provided felt more like a budget hotel. Service was adequate, although it varies depending on the individual. Hotel was not well connected by public transport / quite far away from main tourist sites.

Great stay

The hotel is in a good and safe location. Easy access to great winebars and restaurant. We first got a room that had a heavy smell of cigarettes but was able to swap room easily. The room was clean and high standard. Lovely add on with bathrobe and slippers. Only downside was the milk or the paper cups for coffee was not refilled during clean so has to call reception every evening.

The hotel was quite modern, but the employee who checked us in was incredibly unprofessional. He was aware that we were waiting to check in for two hours and yet decided to check in other guests. The employees name was Alexandre. The rest of the staff were kind and accommodating.

The staff were very polite and answered any questions we had. The rooms exactly as described and were very clean and had all the basic amenities we needed. Fairly close to public transit which suited our needs perfectly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great value for their money kind of hotel. The hotel is new, modern, attractive and the staff is very helpful and attentive. My only suggestion for improvement is that in the bedroom area the lighting is quite subdued with dark wood accents, and I would have appreciated the option of brighter lighting.

Great rooms, great size, clean facilities near lots of places to eat and a nice park to walk. Far from the biggest tourism attraction by walking. At night streets near hotel are really quiet I recommend not walking better use uber or taxi. During day light great place to walk and eat near hotel.
