This stay at La Trente was unfortunately the low point of our recent visit to Paris. The room was not ready when we were checking in around 11 pm and the staff was not very helpful due to newness. There is nothing worse than hoping for a comfortable rest at the hotel after a long travel day, and only to find out the room had a dirty towel on the floor, the bed was not set up. I spoke with the staff member the next day who was helpful and offered us complimentary breakfast as a customer service gesture. Unfortunately the first night experience resulted in loss of confidence and I would not ever return to this hotel nor recommend it. It is a costly 3 star hotel that is not worth the $. We stayed in our room for the 5 nights and did not request service even once because of the loss of confidence.

A disappointing stay overall. Luckily, I spent less than 12 hours there.

The hotel was clean, and the lady at check-in was friendly, but the room setup and service fell well short of expectations.
The room and bathroom were extremely small, making even basic tasks awkward.
The bathroom layout made little sense: the only soap dispenser was inside the shower, and because of how the door opened, getting soap at the sink turned into a full-on door-blocking circus — frustrating, ridiculous, and unintentionally comical.
On top of that, the granite panel supporting the sink had very sharp edges, and in such a cramped space, it felt genuinely unsafe, especially for a child.

Service didn’t help. Early in the morning, I asked for a small glass of water before leaving and got a blunt, “Not possible unless you buy breakfast.” Fair enough, but unnecessarily rude — would someone treated this way really want to return?

Clean place, friendly check-in, but overall not worth it. I’d only recommend it as a last resort for adults transiting the area.

The worst hotel I have ever seen. It was so dirty we checked out after one night, as we arrived late we had to stay that night. The next day the reception agreed to give us a refund for the rest of the nights because of how dirty everything was and took our details down. They have since ghosted and refuse to respond to any emails we send asking for our money back. The carpets are heavily stained with god knows what and the curtains were broken and worst of all, the sofa bed wasn't made, when we went to make it the mattress had a huge red stain on it it was horrifying. Cheating scammers! Do not trust the other Expedia reviews.

The carpet is a bit dated but the beds, shower/bathroom is very nice. Has a bonus minifridge in the wardrobe too. The desk is bit small.

Beware of booking for one or two guests. It costs an extra 50€ to bring a guest, which was a surprise when I had to bring my wife in when plans changed!

The hotel is in a great neighborhood—perfect for walking, shopping, dining, and easy access to public transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was cleaned thoroughly every day.

However, the room was quite small for four people, especially with a sofa bed. The shower head was weak and didn’t spray properly, and the glass panel wasn’t sealed well, which caused water to leak onto the floor. The hallway carpet also looked a bit dirty and could use better maintenance.

We didn’t try the breakfast (€15 per person), but the city tax was reasonable.

Overall, the location and service were solid, but the room felt too cramped for four and a few areas need updating and better upkeep.

The hotel is very well located, however I would never give it a good ranking, as it needs badly renovation. Rooms are tiny, carpets are all stained and smelly, furniture tired and scratched. my shower door was broken and even though the reception lady was very sweet she could not do anything, she did not fix it nor gave me another room. I would say it’s a very basic 2* hotel and is absolutely not worth the money.

This hotel is located down a”dead end” street, so taxis and Ubers park at the main cross street rather than leaving you at the door. The hotel could definitely use some updating. The carpet in our room was old and worn and couldn’t possibly have been clean just given the age and wear. There was a tiny table with an old coffee maker and a very small bench in our room. The refrigerator hummed off and on. The bathroom was very small. I’m not sure if the shower door was broken/off its tracks or if I just wasn’t closing it correctly. There weren’t any shops or restaurants close by. The one bright spot was the staff. They could not have been more pleasant or helpful. That being said, we won’t be booking a room at Hotel Le Trente on our next visit to Paris.

A dated property on a dead end street but a good staff and very helpful. The breakfast was just okay and the coffee machine didn’t work properly. I needed an Espresso coffee and Coffee machine couldn’t make it . The area was a little deserted and isolated but we found an excellent restaurant just 3 blocks away. The area where the restaurant was located was pretty cool. I would say this is a 3 star hotel, which it was rated a 3 star hotel . Good hotel in Paris for the price but I would go outside to have breakfast.

The worst Hotel in Paris

July 30 to August 2,2025 The worst hotel stay ever. I don't understand how this hotel has 4.5 stars. This must be based on old reviews. As soon as you walk in, there's a horrible odor throughout the hotel. In our room, the AC didn't work properly, and they claimed it was the best it could do. The sink wouldn't drain, and when we asked for it to be fixed, they said it works but slowly. The shower door was broken, the toilet paper holder and other fixtures were falling off the wall, and there were terrible patch jobs everywhere with no repainting. We also noticed water damage on the ceiling. The carpet was disgustingly dirty and stained. We had to wait 30 minutes of running the water for it to get warm to bath. This place was the worst.

When we asked for help, one employee responded, \"for what?\" and another said, \"this hotel isn't that bad.\" Do NOT stay here.

Very nice place to stay!! I highly recommend. The staff is extremely nice and welcoming and are willing to answer all questions and they speak English as well as Spanish. It’s a bit far from the tourist areas, but the receptionist was so helpful and helped us map out places we could visit on 24hrs. If you are willing to use the metro, highkey consider this place. Stayed here as a group of young girls, did not feel unsafe.

I stayed 6 stories up in a room with heavy duty ear plugs and every morning around 6:45am a truck would come and unload inventory, smashing huge crates and sometimes giant stacks of metal chairs, it was a nightmare and there was nothing I could do about it.

We were very late for check in, but ataff was very patient with us. The place is clean, small, but adequate for a single night. The shower and bed madw the long journey worthwhile. Although there are some nice spots to get food and other necessities nearby, the hotel is quite tucked away, and it's inconvenient for vehicles (hotel is at the end of a one way cul-de-sac so hard to turn vehicles around). Definitely worthwhipe to buy a subway pass as two lines are nearby. Very good experience overall.

This was a fairly nice hotel for the price point. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. The rokm was snalk but for a solo traveller is perfect if youre soending most of your time outside of it. Small hiccups included key card constantly being deactivated which was quite annoying and the room was not being ready on time blfor check-in. Comfortable stay at Hotel Le Trente

Had 2 rooms and stayed for 3 nights. Though not large they were very comfortable and quiet and we slept well. Had breakfast on 2 mornings. Initially thought 12 euros each for a continental breakfast was very expensive but then realised it was normal for Paris.
Location OK. Paris is a trade off between central location and price. Metro only 5 minutes walk and Montmartre and Place de Clichy and flea market within walking distance too.

Traveling with my adult daughter. We thought we were reserving two twin beds but found out when we got there they only have two rooms with two beds and because we did not call ahead we got to share a double bed...Rooms are tiny, bathroom even smaller. Shower door and mirror in bathroom were both broken, and toilet didn’t flush too well. Breakfast was ok, but expensive. Site says there is a lounge and bar...no there isn’t. Would not recommend.

The first staff member I met was very helpful, but the rest were just average. The hotel is located at the end of a dead end dark alleyway. When a walk in the alleyway I need to mind the garbage water dipping onto the street. I discovered what looked like human feces on the streets around the hotel. The rooms were clean, but the washroom door lock and the room door lock were both broken. I expected at least a safe room so the broken door lock is unacceptable.

Nice hotel on a quiet street, with very friendly staff. Even though we spoke no French, we had no problem having our questions answered or get an advice in English. Plenty of nice restaurants around within walkable distance. Close to a metro and bus stop, we used the metro mostly and were able to get to the most major sites within minutes. Their breakfast is nice and reasonably priced, it's a good option right before you head over to explore Paris. Initially the safe was not working in our room, but they were able to fix this issue the next day. Overall we are very happy we chose this hotel for our stay in Paris, and will recommend it to all our friends.

I loved Le Trente because it was set back into a dead end street which made it ideally quiet and serene whilst being very close to the nice neighbourhood its in and walking distance to the Metro. The room was clean and came with a small fridge and a proper kettle for tea and coffee. The shower was a good size and I liked the soft towels! Over all a VERY sweet hotel - quiet and calm and perfect for a good nights sleep after a long day of exploring the city of Paris!

Ok if fits your budget but don’t expect much

The hotel building itself was nicely decorated but the receptionists were not helpful when we complained about the air conditioning not cooling down the room. Luckily on the second day, my husband was a saint and handy and cleaned out the air conditioning unit himself which produced cooler air and more livable circumstance. I had to practically beg for more water when we were dying of heat, even with money in my hand and she knew about the air conditioning not working, personally came to the room to witness how hot it was. She gave us a water bottle to divide between the four of us.
