Short weekend in Paris

We were a family of 6, we took 3 rooms at the B square hotel as it was reasonably priced, and a short walking distance from the Montmartre district and Gallery Lafayette.
the area is quite, the AC worked ( big Plus in our hotel selection ), several Metro station in a 200m walking distance. We enjoyed the local nearby restaurants ( could not see any tourist - which was a big plus ) and the food market on Saturday. We did not take the breakfast option ( there are bakeries and bistros for that at the same price ). The reception was talking English and very helpful.

The front desk agent wasn’t the most welcoming ( no smiles, warm greeting etc…) The hallways are quite narrow and the cleaning staff leaves the bags for the changeover of room in the hallways… makes it hard to get through with bags and is quite odd.

The room is typical super small, but that’s what you’ll get in Paris at this price point. The staff was super friendly, and the location is fabulous. So many local (and delicious) restaurants on the block and the nearby Rue sea Dames.

Hotel was not in great shape, room was off the reception, with what turned out to be a locked door straight from reception. Room was noisy not only with hearing everything from reception but also from the street and noise from building next door. Room was rundown and didn't match photos. Bit grotty, tea/coffee was provided on first day but milk never was and person on reception in evening was rude when you asked for some, stating milk for breakfast only. Generally not worth the money

Light went three times as switched on the water kettle. Paint was coming off from bathroom walls. Staff was very helpful. There were some ants in room. Room are small. No microwave in the room.

Very good location able to get Eiffel Tower in 25 minutes with Bus no 30. 24 hour reception staff available. storage and safe in room

Manage your expectations

The position of the hotel was good, close to the metro and with a bus station right in front of the entrance.

There is no parking, so if you travel by car you'll have to search for a parking space. Reception was good enough to give us some hints.

The room was small. The bed was small. The bathroom was in terrible condition. The mini fridge didn't work.

It was overall clean, but the bathroom made it all look worse.

Good for the price, bathroom needs a fix!

The staff at this hotel were lovely, however, the safe in our room was not working, and anytime either of us took a shower the water leeked out from the door and covered the floor of the bathroom. The room was small but comfortable and the bed was super comfy, the only problem was with the bathroom. The receptionist was incredibly helpful in organising our transfer to the hotel as we only booked it a few hours before our flight. Hotel is in walking distance to Place de Clichy and the moulin rouge, nearest metro station is Rome and is only about a 3 minute walk from the hotel and you can get anywhere from there! Good for the price but the bathroom does need a remodel and some fixing!

I thought the hotel was really nice and a great value. I cannot speak for the breakfast since I did not have it, but overall I thought the hotel was worth the money. It is not too far from public transportation (Rome Station) and it is within a block of a grocery store and multiple restaurants. In addition, it is very close to the Moulin Rouge. My room was on the top floor so I could see just a tiny bit of the Eiffel Tower, but it was still cool to see. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The shampoo that was given smelled amazing. My only complaint which is a very big one is the wifi was on a 1 hour timer and that drove me crazy. That is seriously the only thing I have to complain about. Fix the annoying 1 hour timer and give people longer.

Shower wall kept on leaking so all the water would flow out to the sink. Ther only think good was the fact that the heaters were working brilliantly as it was too cold outside

The property was nicer than I expected. Bathroom and bedroom had plenty of room for a few days stay. The location is a 5 minute walk from metro stop Clichy or Villiers. Very convenient. Several Monoprix close by for morning coffee supplies and wine. We would absolutely stay here again! Staff wasn't chatty but I didn't need them to be. The neighborhood felt as safe as any big city neighborhood does.

This hotel was located close to trendy restaurants and shops, but was a good distance from some of the more tourist sights. We didn't mind as we like walking but it may be a bit far for some. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean, however the rooms are quite small and look like they have been renovated with a coat of paint and not as well done as it could have been. The rooms are decorated nicely and have everything you need, just in a very compact room. The mattress and bed were also quite small and the mattress was too soft, not offering much support. As we were rarely in the room, this hotel worked for us based on price for our short visit 2 day visit to Paris.

Although the hotel could be rated 3/5, the small rooms are comfortable.
Do NOT book this Hotel if if it’s above 25°C. You will cook all night long.
The AC works for 5 min. then kicks out.
We asked for a rebate....: Mr. de Flamand, mngr, suggested by email, we leave the hotel to find an other hotel...in such short notice and while we were having dinner. So compassionate!!! Some kind of rebate!!!!
I repeat...: Do NOT book this hotel.

Cold spring but great heating

Room was small but nothing unusual about this in Paris. More importantly, the heating in the bedroom and bathroom was effective unlike several other French hotels I have stayed in of a similar category. It was early spring and the weather was very chilly. Location was convenient for metro station and nearby eateries.

Great for a Paris Getaway

Stayed here for 4 nights. Fantastic location close to Metro stops Rome and Place de Clichy. Minutes walk away from the heart of Montmartre.

The room was a bit small but sufficient. Full amenities were provided and the room was clean.

My highlight was the staff - extremely helpful in booking airport transfers (only 18 Euro to CDG) and other requests.

Would thoroughly recommend and stay again in the future.

Went to Paris to watch the 6 nations rugby. This hotel was located in the heart of Paris very close to the Place de Clichy metro station on a direct line to Stade de France.
Nice small hotel with bars and restaurants close by.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay again.

The room is small but I think looking at pictures can tell you that. The elevator is tiny only can fit two people so hard if you have a ton/large luggage. The room was dark even with the lighting. We stayed one night and it was just for location. For the money not bad, but I would try other locations than booking again. Metro is about a 10 min walk. Lots of great restaurants and shops near by. Would not recommend for kids, due to panhandlers but great for adults. Also, close to the Moulin Rouge. The only issue we had was in the middle of the night the receptionist opened our door. He closed it as fast as he opened it. It seems like he was showing another guest her room. Just be sure to lock the door, which we failed to do. There was no mention of it the next day. We were so tired it wasn't a big deal however, I could see that scaring other guest. This hotel is fine if you are wanting to stay in budget and be in a good location.

Ideal location for our stay, quiet location.

We attended the Moulin Rouge so ideal as only 10 min walk away. Also 10 min walk away from the Opera where you can get on the city tour bus. Place De Clichy metro is 5 min walk away so ideal getting around.

Plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance. Only bad thing about the area was the amount of homeless people was abit of a put off - also in the central walk bit inbetween the roads, there was alot of drunk locals making the place look untidy.

Budget hotel in convenient location.

Should have been an enjoyable stay. Great location for us, close to Place de clichy. I think we got the smallest room. It was tiny. That would have been ok, but it smelt badly of damp and drains. We asked to change immediately(friday),but we're told that wasn't possible until the morning(fully booked). Clearly not true as we only saw other's at breakfast on Sunday In the morning it was again not possible until the next morning, Sunday. We were leaving on Monday. We didn't bother asking again. We came back from a night out on Saturday, and our request for milk for tea was declined by the night porter with a \"non ferme\". He was 5 yards from the kitchen and hardly busy. Breakfast at 69gbp for two of us for three mornings was again laughable. Sadly a promising hotel was spoilt by typical Parisian indifference. We wouldn't return. We shall write re room but don't expect them to care a jot.

Great value for money. Staff is attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant and speak good english. Hotel was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is in a safe, quiet neighbourhood. No shady characters hanging around. Secure place. Close to shops on main road, transportation and attractions. Room had a kettle in it to make tea/ coffee and a fridge, which was great. There's a Franprix grocery store close by so you can buy milk and a few bits and bobs to store in the fridge. An office centre is available in the hotel lobby which I found to be useful. Also a shuttle service is available through the hotel if you need it. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely stay there again.

A well located hotel, lots of restaurants in walking distance. Metro nearby. Nice little market on a Saturday nearby. The hotel has a chic style but there is some room for improvement. E.g. The sofa in reception is worn and behind reception is a bit untidy. The rooms are small but do the job. Nice shower room. Only major criticism is the lack of storage in the room. Not one single drawer! Just a very narrow wardrobe. Had to keep our clothes on the bathroom shelf. Staff were friendly and helpful. To be honest we were not too concerned about our hotel as we were there very little. But overall it was a good base for us and can't really complain.

Lovely Hotel Close to Amenities

Nice experience in Paris at hotel was very close to train station, restaurants and shops. The reception area is lovingly decorated. The breakfast room is clean and well equipped for a quick breakfast. However, we did not really enjoy our bedroom as it was little bit squeezy for ourselves and our toddler. Overall, we will highly recommend this hotel as its affordable. The staff are amazing, polite and very helpful. We are planning to book a different bedroom on our next visit! 😉

A budget, scary, basic hotel

Initially we were somewhat happy with the room, it was simple & cozy for the amount spent. However we quickly realized the walls were super thin throughout the hotel. We had read reviews prior 2 booking, but we didn't think it would be this bad. We could hear full conversations happening in the rooms next 2 us, keys being placed on the table in their room, the flushing of their toilet often sounded like it was your own, & the noise of somebody putting their shoes on. The other issue with noise we experienced was from the cleaning staff - you could hear them cleaning from the floor below, & they often made plenty of noise outside our room, not taking into consideration that people were sleeping etc. The main issue with this hotel is the layout of the rooms - with room doors being beside & opposite each other as you could touch 3 room doors from standing in 1 spot. This meant that while sleeping, someone would go to their room door & it would seem as though they were going to yours. People would stand outside of their/our door for considerable amounts of time, and as you do not have peepholes in the doors, you're never fully aware of whats going on outside. At times I felt scared (3 nights out of 4) as people would pace outside our door & I could see their feet underneath my door from them standing there for approx 15-30 mins. Staff also suggested that we leave our luggage in the hallway of reception rather than behind the desk. Chipped walls & fresh coat of paint needed also!

Posh boutique hotel near main attractions

Location of hotel was great! 30min walk to main attractions, or you can use the bus stop or metro just around the corner. Quiet neighbourhood, very safe. Our sink was clogged but either than that it was the perfect stay for our 4 day Paris visit! Recommend it. Staff are very helpful and speak English well.

Good value, near the metro and great housekeeping

We stayed in the double which only had a window overlooking the back ally. The size was OK for 2 people and 1 suitcase. (2 cases would be a squeeze). The paint on the walls was looking a bit scruffy from a few years of marks and scrapes.

However, minor negatives aside, the room and bathroom were spotless, beds comfortable with housekeeping do a great job overall. The bathrooms are just big enough but smart, and the showers are really good and the rainfall type.

I didn't have the breakfast, but at 11 Euros each that was similar price to the cafes around the area but as the hotel is cold buffet format, I would expect you get more for your money and more variety at the hotel. The cafes only seem to offer a croissant, a piece of toast, orange juice and coffee for the same money. We just ate in the Balangeries on the way into the city.

Great hotel on a quiet street

Hotel is modern and has great rooms. It is walking distance from two metro stations and is just off a main road where there are cafes and a wine shop. The double room had plenty of room for two people to manoeuvre around suitcases.

Nice small, very personal hotel, close to Metro station and supermarkets/ restaurants which was handy when arriving late.
Room was small but very clean and tidy, And everything that you need. Very nice small bathroom and amazing shower. Wifi signal was quite poor. Breakfast was a nice selection, and hotel staff were very friendly.

Hotel didn't charge us until we'd checked out, when they added the cost of breakfast on.

it was my first time in Paris.we checked in afternoon time, room very clean and cozy. Hotel stuff very helpful and polite. The stuff advised us where and how we can go.Even in night time if we need something from kitchen they allowed us. In the last day they helped us to call shuttle bus. Generally hotel price was cheapper than other hotels. Location is very good.Near to subway. In paris you can go everywhere by subway. I recommend to everybody this hotel.

10 year wedding anniversary trip

Had a lovely time. Hotel was clean and modern - small, but exactly what you expect in Paris. Location was great - a few bars and restaurants on the doorstep and walking distance to Moulin Rouge. only downside was our room was quite warm and as window opened into courtyard at back there was no draft through. Had a wonderful time though :)

Great little boutique hotel in a good location

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in a basic double room and really enjoyed our time there. The room was nicely decorated and really made it feel like a boutique, stylish hotel. Everything was near new, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were all welcoming, extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to a number of metro stations which makes getting to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe etc. a breeze. The Moulin Rouge is only a number of streets away.

Angefangen damit, dass unsere Koffer und Zimmer mit denen anderer Gäste vertauscht wurden, der Check In damit 30-45 Minuten dauerte und die Rezeption maximal überfordert war. Später sagte uns ein Angestellter, dass das normal sei.
Dann kamen wir endlich ins Zimmer. Zimmer, Bett (1,4m) und Bad klein. Das Bett selbst war bequem. Bad war okay und ausreichend. Positiv, man konnte die Fenster öffnen. Allerdings sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig, konnten die Nachbar Zimmer 1a hören und hätten uns mit ihnen unterhalten können.
Frühstück ist nicht zu empfehlen, alles sehr lieblos und die Auswahl ist bescheiden. Die Damen am Frühstück waren jedoch sehr bemüht und nett.
Alles in allem war’s okay, aber wirklich gut war’s nicht.

petit points à revoir

Propreté impeccable, par contre le carré douche de la chambre 602 était défectueux : la pente n'était pas dans le bon sens et il fallait empêcher l'eau de couler vers la chambre ....même pas en rêve !
les carreaux du carré douche sont glissants , on ne peut pas se savonner les pieds sinon c'est la glissade assurée !!

このホテルはやめましょう！

部屋の状態等は他の口コミ通りですが、帰国時にフロントでタクシーを呼んでもらって乗り込んだところ、何と白タクでした。フロントが白タクを呼ぶなんて、想像を絶する事態です。みなさん、このホテルはやめた方が良いと思います。
そのようなフロントマンがいること、そのようなフロントマンを従業員として雇用しているホテルであることに、非常に驚いています。
これがホテル側に届くのであれば、10月19日14時頃にフロントに勤務していた従業員は即刻解雇すべきです。

もちろん、すっかり気が緩んでしまって乗車時に確認しなかった私もマズかったのですが、それとこれとは話は別です。シャルル・ド・ゴール空港まで定額55ユーロのはずですが、当初65ユーロ要求してきました。もちろん55しか払いませんでしたが。旅行の最後に、本当に余計な気苦労をさせられて、残念でした。

Très bon hôtel que je vous recommande vivement

Hôtel très bien situé, 1 arrêt de bus devant et à 5 minutes du métro Rome, très belle façade. Je suis arrivée tard mais avant minuit. Le personnel est très disponible et sympathique. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et l'hôtel met à disposition des fruits et des bouteilles d'eau entre autres bonnes choses. La chambre est très propre, le lit très confortable, les WC sont séparés, la TV est de très bonne taille. Vraiment enchantée d'avoir choisi cet hôtel. Je vous le conseille, moi je reviendrai.

Eine schöne Lage - zu Fuß sind Montmatre und Sacre Coeur erreichbar. Viele Brasserien und Boulangerien um die Ecke. Bus direkt vor der Tür. 2 Metrostationen ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Auch Supermärkte und Post nah. Empfehlung: Zimmer zur Straße und weiter oben buchen (wir waren im 3. OG). Es gibt einen Fahrstuhl. Zimmer wurde jeden Tag schön hergerichtet - mit frischen Handtüchern (obwohl wir sie extra aufgehangen hatten und sie auch länger als einen Tag genutzt hätten). Bequemes Bett und elegant-cleane Einrichtung. Hilfsbereiter Empfang. Frühstück können wir nicht beschreiben, da wir immer in den Bäckereien drumherum bzw. mit Croissants in der Hand im Park gegessen haben. Würde dort wieder buchen.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Zimmer sind sauber. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, mit viel Cafés und kleinen Läden, mehrere U-Bahn-Stationen sind füßläufig erreichbar. Alles bestens!
