Good location close to metro. However the room (Feeling Good/Junior Suite) did not have central heating or a heating unit. There was a space heater in the room only. The shower/hammam was not separate so the room got humid/foggy quickly. The wallpaper was peeling. Switch cover for the lights was not attached to the wall. Seems it may have been nice initially but now not upkept. Nice lobby. Honest bar at night.

We really enjoyed staying in this R&B and Rock and Roll themed, very friendly, well located hotel in the 9th arrondissement. It was quiet and clean with a comfortable bed. It was a bit unusual that the shower was in the main room, but it adds to the eclectic charm this hotel offers. Every room is decorated differently. The front desk staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. We wanted to stay another night, but they were booked. Breakfast was enjoyable. We will make thìs hotel our first choice when we return.

Good bang for buck, but very poor sound insulation

The value for money is great at Idol Hotel: Good service, comfortable bed and not too far from the Metro. However, the sound insulation has a lot to be desired --- you will hear other guests as soon as they open the door. As an establishment frequently visited by tourists, they will wake you up late at night or early in the morning. As long as you check in with this expectation in mind, you will have a enjoyable stay here.

Our stay was excellent, the staff was very helpful with everything. We had a little issue with the air conditioning unit not working in our room and they immediately switched us to another (better) room to make up for the issue. They location was also perfect and very centrally located. I recommend this hotel highly!

The hotel is close to public transportation, bus stops are nearby and 8-10 minute walking distance to Saint-Lazare Gare train station. Bed comfort is good but pillow is a bit high. On the other hand, sound insulation is not good; however, the hotel locates in a quiet neighborhood. Another drawback is that the toilet is separate from the bathroom. Breakfast is OK with limited options.

This is a very good hotel walking distance from Galleria Lafayette. We really mainly used it to sleep and walked everywhere from there. I would definitely stay here again though

The room was very small and made it difficult to share with my daughter. Poor ventilation and the windows in the room steamed up quickly. Also, I think the room layout is not well thought out which makes it even harder to share with another person.

Perfect location, amazing bed!

Excellent boutique in a great location. A picturesque, quiet neighbourhood, just a few minutes from central Paris. The room was surprisingly spacious and had all the amenities we needed - plus one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept on!

Cute boutique hotel near two metro lines and a short walk to a larger central train stop. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. They held our luggage so we could sightsee arrival day bc we got in early. They also arranged our taxi for departure the day we left. Rooms were quite small, but clean and tidy. Overall facility needs some updates with paint and detail work, but we are pleased with our stay overall.

We loved this hotel! Stayed as part of a trip around Europe for 2 nights and I wish we'd stayed longer. The decor was really cool, staff were really friendly and helpful. The coffee machine in the lounge to grab one whilst heading out was great too! We'd definitely stay again.

We had a troublesome stay at this property. The power went out one night we were there and we returned to the hotel as it happened. Naturally we couldnt get into our rooms as the locks were electronic. After hours of waiting, we got in manually with still no power, so no air-conditioning in the peak of summer. The following mornjng when the power was restored, there was.np hot water. A bit of a nightmare but the hotel was proactive and gave me a refund for both rooms for that night. Other than that, the hotel was clean, modern and great value for money. Would stay again..

Absolutely delightful stay!!! Loved the themed rooms and the 'vibe' of this nicely tucked away property. The staff were all the most kind and helpful that I believe I have ever experienced while traveling. Appreciated their effort to help us, given our very poor ability to speak French. Appreciated the free espresso, tea in lobby. Small grocery store down the street. Close to metro was a major plus. Great bar down the road across the corner. \"Paris is always a good idea\" as Audrey once said and I will add that the Idol is always a great place to stay when visiting. I can't close without thanking the staff for their kindness and the pre-visit survey from them was unique and so personalized! Merci Beaucoup :)

Funky and friendly, decent value

This hotel has a really fun decor style and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We felt it was good value for money. There was a metro station nearby that connects to major sightseeing places but the connection to Charles de guille airport was not direct (although easier once we had worked out the different rail systems by the time we left). The breakfast was fine, with croissants, cheeses, cold meats and a small heated buffet of scrambled eggs and sausages. We thought it was a bit limited for a 4 star hotel. There was a coffee machine in the foyer and also free espressos available in the room. The room was cleaned to an excellent standard each day. We stayed in the Moon Blue room which included a balcony but unfortunately there was building work across the street so we didn't use this. There is a crack in the mirror which detracts from the aesthetic but isn't dangerous. We found the walls thin and wore ear plugs to sleep on the first night as we had noisy neighbours. Personally we found the pillows were too high but we like quite shallow pillows as we are both side sleepers. Otherwise a comfy bed.

The Idol Hotel is a gem in Paris. It is funky, clean and quiet. Our room (Blue Sunshine) was spacious and had a nice seating area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even took a postcard to the post office to mail for me! The location is good- close to shopping on Blvd Haussmann and walking distance from the Louvre and Champs-Elysees. 10/10

Don’t get breakfast, the selection is very poor, a small supermarket is across the road, which makes sandwiches and breakfast to take away. Asked the staff 3 times to fix the safe, as it was locked on my arrival, this was not done.

We booked 3 rooms each at a different level for our adult family. 2 for five nights and 1 for 4. My wife and I had a superior room and she did not like it so I asked for a VIP upgrade and was moved to a much bigger and nicer room without a problem. The young lady at the desk was very sweet and helpful. Had she not been we would not have enjoyed our stay.

Great little hidden gem.

I will definitely stay here again as I am often in Paris for work. Hotel Idol was in a great location on a pretty quiet street (sleep being key even after a late night in one of Paris’s famous bistros). The staff were amazing, super friendly and down to earth. The room was plenty big enough for 2 friends and would be lovely for a couple. The vibe is super cool and chilled. I loved it!
