Location is excellent but mattress is terrible. The mattress was like a slide, it was very worn out. Requested the hotel not to enter my room, and they entered it twice every day without my consentment due maintenance issues, plumbing, sewage, leaks, …. I never reported an issue, but they had an excuse to enter it. Maintenance team went inside my bathroom
and closed the door and never saw any repairs. The first day they left a mess in my bathroom, second day they left the shower sewage open, I complained about that, and the maintenance guy told me I could close it. It is not my job to do their job. Restaurant high tea time pretty expensive for the quality. I would not recommend it. Requested two time helps with taxi, they ignored me “ go outside and find it yourself” Manager told me due maintenance issues, she was going to process a partial refund for compensation, never did. Not the worst, not the best. The day I left they did not want to print the confirmation my account/ expenses account was closed. They had a voucher open and did not wanted to print a confirmation it was closed. They blamed Expedia for everything.

When we checked in, we were put in rooms in the basement of an adjoining building where they were doing construction. There was plastic on the floors. The rooms were dirty. The bathrooms were 30 years old. It was a nightmare. How was breakfast? We weren’t offered breakfast so I would have no idea and once again Expedia after I’ve spent $8000 this month on it has screwed us over.

I loved everything about this hotel, particularly the location (right bedside Charing Cross Stn and steps away from theatre, covent garden and Trafalgar Square). My room was lovely and had a great view of the Strand. I didn't have breakfast, but went to their gorgeous restaurant “Platform 7” and was able to get a delicious, yet healthy meal. If I ever have the opportunity to return, I’ll have to try their baked Alaska and afternoon tea. Perfect place to stay for a theatre, sightseeing, or shopping trip to London..

Our choice of the hotel to stay at for our week-long trip to London proved to be a great one. The Clermont London at Charing Cross offers the most convenient location for visiting London. Most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance. There are numerous cafes and restaurants around, making it so much easier to try different foods. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and quick in response to anything questions. I highly recommend the Clermont London, Charing Cross to anyone traveling to London with plans to experience the most of Central London. I will definitely stay here again for our next trip to UK.

One part of the hotel is under refurbishment. Which involves (if your on level 6 room prefixed by a 1) going up 1 level in a lift then walking across bridge to 3rd level of separated block. Then up 3 sets of “back” stairs (6 flights) to the room. The room was freezing cold had to get the heating repaired. Bed was below standard (two singles clipped together) one side was much older than the other. I paid around £220 for one night not great value. Breakfast was ok nothing spectacular. I did let the manager know of my disappointment in the morning and they refunded the breakfast. Most of the staff doing their best, night staff below par. It would be good to know part of the hotel was under refurbishment then prospective customers could make a more informed choice.

The room was spectacular! Location was brilliant - right above the tube station! Megan checked us in and also answered queries we had prior to our stay. Nothing is too much trouble to the polite and friendly staff at this hotel who go out of their way to do anything to make your stay better!

Great location with easy access to all the major attractions. The hotel is very close to Embankment Underground station and the Thames Clippers wharf, making it convenient to get around. The Tube provides direct connections to King’s Cross and Paddington train stations.

The room was a good size, very clean, and the bathroom was spacious. Housekeeping did an excellent job with daily cleaning and room service. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful.

Although I was initially a bit concerned about the hotel’s proximity to the train station, the room was surprisingly quiet and we didn’t hear any noise at all. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

The lobby, all communal areas absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are dated but ok.
We had a deluxe double which was ok, no views other then the workings of hotel outside so a bit grim. The room was very cold we left heating on & was still cold on our return the room is only heated by aircon unit there are no radiators in room or bathroom.
Bathroom exceptionally cold even loo was freeeezing to sit on.
We called reception & a housekeeper have us an extra duvet.
The bathroom itself was nice but just too cold.

During the night we could hear outside the noise of what sounded like the heating/aircon units.

I dont feel this warranted to be called a deluxe double.

Best part of the stay was breakfast.
Beautiful dining area, very attentive restaurant manager & food was absolutely lovely & lovely & hot despite being buffet style. Best hot full english in a while!

When we walked into the room, there was a very strange smell. We noticed that the bedding had been put on inside out, and the duvet cover had stains on it. We asked for a replacement, and someone came to change the sheets, but there were still stains on the side of my bed.

The hotel seemed to be lacking attention to small details. For example, the mirror on the wall was not properly aligned. For a hotel that is meant to be fancy, it definitely did not feel that way.

At night, the floorboards creaked as people moved around above us, which was very loud and disruptive. The air conditioner also made a rattling noise when turned on, so we were unable to sleep with it on.

The bathroom was nice, with both a bath and a shower, and it was clean.

The staff were lovely and very responsive, with no complaints in that area.

Because we were only staying for one night, we didn’t want to complain or make a fuss. However, given the issue with the duvet, we did expect the hotel to offer something as an apology.

Great staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Particularly the Maitre D at breakfast. Didn’t get his name but he was tall dark handsome and kind. Went out of his way for my family. It’s a beautiful hotel and very quirky. It’s so well placed. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choices and every room is just stunning! We enjoyed a cocktail in the bar which was a lovely way to relax after a busy day. The grand staircase is beautiful. So well placed. I look forward to staying again.
