Bathroom was moldy!! Could not use hair dryer because it was covered in mold! Wish I took pictures.

The staff was very friendly. When asked, they even helped with information about shopping for specific stuff. 10 minutes were left for breakfast time to close; but they had already closed. However, when I asked the lady at the reception if I could at least have something because I had actually payed for the breakfast the day before, she called the chef and they let me go have breakfast, the chef brought out more food for me and was very friendly and nice. Make sure that if you need a room with a/c, to tick the a/c box when booking, because it was my mistake that I booked a room without a/c. I only found and killed one mosquito; but I did see in the carpeted walls about 8 already dead mosquitoes. The rooms were very clean, good beddings, clean towels, nice and clean bathroom. You had the option to open the windows and cover them with the curtains. They even let me check in before my check in time because the room was already available.

Area was great for transportation options. As it is close to a train station there are a lot of food places to pick from at a walking distance. Breakfast could have been more varied. Croissants and bread were great. Staff were nice and helpful. Bathrooms could use some updates. Elevator worked well. Our stay was pleasant.

Where to start… book ANYWHERE else. Trains are right underneath, loud, vibrate the whole room and wake you. They run every 2-10 minutes from 0500 to 0200. Our room AC and Heater both did not work. There was no ventilation so when we showered everything got damp. We tried opening the window to clear it and got inundated with mosquitos which bit us all night long. The hotel misrepresents their facilities at best- there is no on site laundry (pay or self use), breakfast didn’t start until 07 so we didn’t even get to eat it two of the days we paid for. Worst hotel we’ve ever been to, and we traveled all over Europe. The “bar” is staff grabbing you cans of pre mixed drinks. So disappointed in the extremely false advertising!!!!!

The staff were helpful and very quick to help. Room was basic, looked a bit run down and there were some bits that clearly needed replacing, but didn’t affect my stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. There is a train station very close but the noise didn’t bother us at all. Location is good, close to supermarket and short walk to metro. Extremely outdated and furniture has not been replaced in what seems like 20 years min. All carpeting stained, all chairs fabric and stained, curtains stained, strange smell from bathroom, and walls seem to have water damage (bubbling wall paper) which may be contributing to smell. No standup shower and water does not get very hot. Wifi also did not work even on 1st floor. Convenient location for the train station but because with every train and metro the room shook and there was a noise. Would not recommend the room for the faint hearted and if you don’t get a good deal. There was the option to store luggage which was just a free for all space by the front desk, no tickets, no tags, nothing, not very safe. Do not leave your valuables there.

I didn’t like it ,because it smelled like someone was smoking cigarettes in the room prior to our stay , the carpet felt gross as if hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, no refrigerator, our room was located at the end of a tiny hallway that looked straight out of horror movie. The only benefits that I could take out of our stay is the price was good for a last minute stay and for the locations where the hotel is at,

Steps away to Saint Lazare train station. If you like to go to Saint Michel Abbeyy and other Normandy day trips it is very convenient.
Walking distance to shopping center and Big Bus tour, nice for sight seeing for the entire Paris tourist spots.

1970s horror film style

There are no air vents in the room (no AC, no heating, no air filters, nothing). We had to open our windows because it got extremely hot and stuffy. We woke up with mosquito bites all over, it was terrible. The beds are pretty rough. For the experience, I feel we should've paid half of what it actually cost. The front desk was pretty nice and the kebab place couple door down was great. The hotel itself though is pretty rough.. if you must crash there for a night, you'll survive, but I don't recommend an extended stay.

Pluses: Great staff- absolutely wonderful, gray maids- very clean, location convenient for walking, shopping, public transport, etc. Room size was on par with the price. Elevator was a plus.

Minuses: Room was subpar- no A/C was expected, but there was not even a fan. The only window in the entire room was facing a courtyard surrounded on all sides by tall buildings so there was no option for airflow. Woke up every night because of excessive heat. 1 fan would have made all the difference.

I booked 2 rooms with this hotel for one night. This property has no air condition, rooms are small, and the bathrooms are tiny and very dirty. Stains all over the rooms. The only good thing about this hotel is the location, there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would never stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is extremely outdated, the beds have stains in them as do the carpet in the room, the bathroom has no shower curtains or doors so expect the floors to be completely wet and try to avoid slipping and breaking a bone, the bathtub was dirty, furniture in the rooms are really worn, bed sheets were clean, towels were alittle stiff, bathroom would smell like urine, also the air conditioning was not working on any rooms as we had three and was advised by hotel staff that the air conditioning was not working for the entire hotel, absolutely absurd as you have windows with no mesh or protection for parents traveling with children, the furniture in the lobby was so old you can see the leather coming off the chairs, would not stay here again, there were many hotels in the area that are much nicer, cleaner and similar price range. If I could do less than a one star I would. Truly disappointing, as it was seven of us, we all had an equally uncomfortable stay.

A reasonable hotel in a good location

A good location, close to lots of Metro lines and bus stops and not far from the centre of Paris. The room was fine, except that the bed mattress was moderately uncomfortable and there were no tea-making facilities in the room. The staff were very helpful. The streets around were nice enough, with lots of places to eat.

The property was not accommodating. I booked with a partial refund policy, had to change my accommodations 5 minutes after booking and they would not honor the policy on Expedia. Also the advertised the price higher and when I booked, offered a lower rate for the same days and would not honor that as well. Absolutely horrible, would not recommend. Please stay at Hotel de Georges if you’re in Paris! They are the tops!

The hotel advertises air conditioning and they aren’t lying the room has a unit…IT DOESNT WORK! The elevator is old it got stuck twice during our stay. There’s a Tub, no shower just a tub! Because there is no a/c it’s hot we opened the one window in the room and there was construction in the middle of the night, people yelling, fighting, traffic, etc. Oh and we have mosquito bites all over BECAUSE THE AC DOESNT WORK! The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Not worth the money! Don’t fall for the advertising of having a/c. When we asked the front desk the just said, it doesn’t work. Nothing else. Worse stay ever!

Upon arrival the hotel informed us there was no AC in the hotel. I was given 2 fans for 2 rooms. This was in the middle of the Heat wave in Paris. The manager informed me that it was on the site but Expedia did not update it. Later I learned the AC was broken for over 9months. The rooms also didn’t have a freezer in them to keep food.

The location is great, as the area has a Tube station directly in front of the building and plenty of food is available in the area. But it was a horrible stay.

I wish I booked another hotel. If it wasn’t for my wife I would’ve argued and created a scene.

But I will never return there.

Excellent hotel, located min away from subway station, close to shops, restaurant, pharmacy. Very friendly staff always very courteous. Room was excellent, spacious, updated and clean. Our room had a balcony facing the street. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will recommend it to anyone. We were a family of 4, (2 adults & 2 teens), we all enjoyed it. We will definitely be back!!

My room was disgustingly stinking cigarettes (in obviously non-smoking room) and mold.
I complained and ask them to move me to another room, but as they didn’t have spare ones and were not willing to reimburse me, so I can leave, I stayed and barely could sleep. I left the window open, so I get at least a bit of fresh air, but as it was still quite cold, I caught a cold and got sick.
The ‘hotel’ did nothing to address this situation.

Good location for food, shopping, and Paris train system to get anywhere. Only issues were that you can't check in at all until 2 PM, even though we got there at 10 AM. The spray hose on the bath didn't work, so you could only take a bath. Finally, room service barged into the room without knocking. Good other than that.

An old hotel that needs refreshing in the room. It is clean, but worn out. Lights and fixtures are not in good conditions. TV was new.
Pipework can get noisy. Also noise was generated through the vibration of the metro which is under this hotel.
Staff at reception was professional and efficient. WIFI worked well.
it is located on the side of St Lazare railway station, about 30 m from a side entrance.
I will not use this hotel again.

I wouldn't overpay for it

Came over from North America..our room had 2 beds pushed together. We had 2 outlets in the room and 1 in the washroom (nowhere near the mirror but rather by the washroom closet..yes you read that correctly). Furniture + \"pillows\" and blankets were a bit dated but the hotel is real close to the subway and commuter train station. You're about a 15 minute walk to the Moulin rouge, 30 from the Louvre. We didn't do the breakfast but it looked serviceable, there's a decent sized dining area. The elevator is not for the claustrophobic, take the winding stairs...unless you're easily nauseous. If you are then take take elevator. If you're both...this might be the hotel for you...

Outdated low budget hotel - good location.

Besides being in a great location and only 10 minutes from the closest metro-station, this hotel is severely outdated. Our room did not have AC, an iron or a shower curtain! When we asked the front desk, they said those amenities were only available in more expensive rooms.
The rooms have single beds lined up against one another, like a student hostel.
Although clean, everything in the room was old and outdated.
The wifi, although free, was very spotty and as good as unavailable.
The closest metro is Saint Lazare Train Station, less than 10 mins away. The hotel is also just 20 min walk to the Tuileries Garden.
The lady at the front office the day we arrived was also rude and not very welcoming.
Unless you are a student or traveling on a budget with a large family, I would not stay here.

The lobby and stairs were fixed up very nice. The reception person didn't even know who the owner is or was playing dumb when asked about the air conditioning. They gave us a fan. So hot. The beds were horrible, dusty and old. The blanket was thin with lint balls. The door had wood rot. The bathtub was tiny with no shower curtain. The stucco on order of the back of building was cracked and falling off. We left early with no refund. Will try to get refined from our credit card.

The location was great as it was.close to everything including metro and Roissy bus stop for the airport. The service was also great. Ben was very helpful including providing us an electric fan because the A.C. was not working. He also was helpful in suggesting transport going to the airport. The room condition was so so and you get what you pay for. Nothing fancy but sufficient if you are looking for a plAce to just sleep.Wifi if great!
