The only complaint would be the noise from the streets and the vibration from the metro when it passes underground and if you happen to be on the lower floor. It’s an issue if your a light sleeper only.

Hotel Chavanel is stunning. David and Nicki were just wonderful, friendly, professional and lovely. The location is perfect two metro stations within walking distance, fabulous food everywhere and amazing shopping. The interior is what blew me away the individual pieces so tastefully put together. We had just flown from Australia and I believe I had the best rain shower of my life and the most comfortable bed ever. We will definitely be back and would totally recommend to our friends. The hotel is in a good location, clean and comfortable. We booked 2 nights bed & breakfast on the Hotel.com site, one of the reasons we selected it. When checking out we were informed by the hotel that breakfast was an extra €20 per head! €80 not budgeted for. Hardly the fault of the hotel but the acknowlegement said 'room only' but I didn't check it (the Hotel.com site said B&B - have taken this up with them). The actual breakfast was poor - two things France does well (1) Coffee (but it was dreadful) (2) Croissant (but theirs were those awful frozen stoggy things you can buy in Supermarkets). So by avoiding breakfast in the Hotel you would not be disappointed with this hotel

The area is great, close to everything, the room was perfect (it did not feel like a hotel) well equipped and of course, the staff was amazing! We booked two rooms for 6 persons. They had one Junior Suite (for 3 persons) when we booked. When checking in, they charged us EU80 per night for one child sleeping on the same bed with parent. Accordingly, she may even ask an older child to book a room. She did not hesitate to charge us EU320. When we checked out, another gentleman tried to charge us another EU320 because he could not find the record - everything is in paperwork. He was also trying to charge a coke from snack bar that we did not take at all. The Wi-Fi had been down for 3 days. We felt secured and quiet because there were not so many hotel visitors (all Asian including us) for our 4 days visit. The entrance had been locked at night. The room ceiling is low. We stayed at a London's 4-star (which was very pleasant, friendly and fast in checking in and out, and everything in good standard) hotel before we came to Paris. Maybe the star grading system and standard are different in Paris than London and US. Its elevator is very small - it could only accommodate 2 persons with luggages

We just stayed for a night, but the hotel really impressed us. It is in a great central location, easily accessible to the metro and plenty of sights and shopping. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The room was beautiful, modern, clean, and the street below was not too noisy. But most of our good experience came from the employees who were very kind. Henri in particular was super friendly and helped give us tips on where to go in the city (such as shopping districts that would be open on Sundays).
