I’ve stayed at the Opera Opal on many occasions when travelling for work. The location is good, with metro stations close by. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with excellent beds, and are being gradually upgraded with new fixtures and fittings even though they are not outdated.

Wonderful stay in a great location. The hotel is charming, comfortable, and perfectly situated near great attractions and major transport lines. The room was clean and quiet, the bed very comfortable, and the staff consistently welcoming and helpful. A great choice for exploring Paris - I would happily stay here again.

Main reason for 4 rating was no ac. It was difficult to sleep at night with no ac given the humidity of city. Other than that, staff was very friendly and accommodating to English speaking patrons. Loved their gummy gummy sharks at the counter.

The hotel was very comfortable. We stayed in a king room that was clean and well done in decor. You just have to remember that most rooms are small and very charming in Paris. I would recommend this hotel to singles and couples. I can’t speak about the breakfast since I didn’t partake. The staff were outstanding with help with info and arranging taxi for the airport. I hope to be back very soon!

The room was lovely, clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anybody staying in Paris, easy access to the Metro for anything outside of walking distance.

The only awkward thing was the shower seemed to spray a lot of water onto the bathroom floor but easy to sort with towels.

Lovely stay in Paris

This is a comfortable hotel in a lovely, quieter area. Easy walking distance to many cafes, tourist attractions and nice shops. The hotel staff was lovely and helpful—especially Eymard, who went above and beyond to ensure I had an enjoyable stay. I definitely plan to stay here again the next time I return to Paris.

The hotel itself is nice, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was very clean and served it’s purpose (first leg of trip in Paris). The hotel is located away from the super congested areas, but is close enough to walk to points of interest. The only drawback was some plumbing issues - the shower’s temperature mixer was not working, so our first 2 showers were scalding hot, that was fixed the 2nd day after our arrival. On the second day, the toilet flushing mechanism became stuck in the afternoon and no one was on site to fix it until the next day - so we spent the night with a toilet that was constantly flushing and no valve in the bathroom to turn that off, which made for a somewhat unpleasant sleep. (Note - the desk staff did come to investigate it, but wasn’t able to do anything about it.)

This hotel is great finding. I loved the location, I think it’s unbeatable. The staff is super nice and friendly. At the moment of checking in we got a free room upgraded, so that was awesome. The installations are super nice and cute. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel though, so I cannot comment about it. We preferred to go out into the city for our meals. When km back in Paris I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

From the moment my daughter and I walked through the door, Emma greated us with a big welcome smile ! She was very helpful and informative ,as was all the staff( guy at night) .The hotel had upgrated us too . The room felt

We loved our stay here. All renovated, staff was fantastic, booked our tours to Eiffel top and Louvre Museum, gives directions to go, just very helpful! They all speak english! Excellent location, walking distance to the metro, 2 block from the Pera House and Laffayette Gallery. I'll be back here!

Excellent boutique hotel in the best aerea of Paris. Great for couples. They have options of bigger beds so that is a plus. Everything was new, clean, and great quality. Staff at the lobby were very friendly and helpful, especially Nina. We had a great experience and fully recommended it!!

Great price for the quality. I liked the location as it is quiet and ideal to walk to different parts of Paris.
Very close to Galaries Lafayette and the Opera.

Not many food options nearby if you're staying for more than 5 days.

Hotel is located in a nice area. A lot of areas were in a walking distance. There were two stations walking distances to stations so it’s easier to take public transportation to other places. Airport bus was very close. Hotel was clean and comfy bed. Shower in a our room wasn’t draining so they came to fix it right away.

Overall this Hotel is clean and it feels newly renovated rooms. Staff are very friendly and welcoming during Check- in.
Breakfast room space is too small to accommodate guests during breakfast especially when it’s busy- however this had been mentioned during checking in.
Room temperature can be challenging to keep it at comfortable level- I’ve noticed the thermo regulator looks need upgrading - portable heater was provided during our stay
Elevator should have a swipe access ONLY for guests and staff- at present anyone can access elevator from the ground level- I fell this warrant a safety concern as a guest
Otherwise overall feel is good during our stay

Disappointed the chair in my room was ripped there was a really dirty pillow on my bed the black lid that covers the door lock kept falling I asked for it to be fixed they never did.. bathroom was alright towels ok but the bathrobe was so overly used and old that the stitches were coming apart... really nice bed good sleep but they should definitely sound prof the rooms a little better you can hear everything that is going on outside. 4 star hotel I think not.

I have been travelling for a good 2 decades and I cannot stress how important is customer service and cleanliness in hotels.
This experience was beyond our expectations and we enjoyed our stay. All the staff, Glarissa in particular, was brilliant and she took care of us so well along with all the other things she was multi tasking.
Location wise it was great too. Shopping, cafes, transport, convenience store, pub all within 5 mins of walking. The area is busy enough during the day and it gets quiet at night for much needed peace and sleep.
This was our first time to France-Paris and for those who are planning too, I will like to comment that expect rooms to be tiny and small. I did and it helped from mindset perspective. It’s nothing to do with hotels, it’s just what it is in France. Also check if the hotel you are selecting has hot water kettle . If not that’s ok you just have to ask the reception to provide you one as not all the hotels provide one with rooms like AsiaPacific region.

The location of this property is very convenient. The bed is also extremely comfortable. However, the rooms are very small. Also, the breakfast buffet contains ridiculously no choices. Next door, there is a traditional café and a few steps away there is Paul and Galeries LaFayette which are much better options.

At arrival, I checked in and was told my room was not ready by a rude staff... when I came back I was informed that my room was on the third floor and the lift did not work... When I got to the room there was a guy cleaning the windows putting dust in the entire room (and I'm allergic to dust) - I asked him to leave and the guy just ignored me. Terrible terrible terrible

M wife and I stayed for 15 nights except for the location there is nothing to like. In summary, dirty smelly depressing and dull, no elevator for more of half of our stay. Staff not very helpful forgot to wake us the morning we left. Dirty bathroom towels not enough toiletries.

The hotel was very pleasant. The room was clean and well appointed. This area of Paris is great for shopping and close proximity to Metro and tourist areas. There is not a lot of things to do in the evening as shops close up. Otherwise, it is a great hotel and I would recommend it.

No airport shuttle

There's no shuttle service to this hotel. When I searched for hotels I picked hotels with airport shuttle service, and it's misleading that this hotel lists \"airport shuttle\" under amenities, showed up in my search list. This small detail ended up costing me time and money, and I couldn't see the city in the limited time I had. Other than that, the hotel seems nice and clean, breakfast starts at 7am (missed it), taxi service is 60 Euro ... You can take the \"Roissy Bus\" from the airport to Opera, for 11 Euro, takes 45 mins to 1 hour. Do not confuse this with the airport shuttle that serves only the nearby hotels (there's another Best Western there).

Quiet but central city hotel

Friendly staff, quiet hotel. Got a free upgrade so room bigger than we are used to in Paris. Metro at bottom of street and local cafe overlooking Madeleine - breakfasted there every day with friendly staff who remembered our order by 2nd day. Major department stores at the top of the street. Easy 10 minute walk with wheeled suitcases from Opera.

Great little hotel. Very convenient location with a great little restaurant that are not to pricey on the floor level.
The room was quite comfortable and clean. The inroom expresso machine was a big plus, especially when a cup of coffee cost 3 euros outside.

One BIG complain however is the private shuttle service back to the airport that was scheduled by the hotel concierge. The published rate was 60 euro, with free wifi in the car, free bottle of water, and I was guranteed that my American Express will be acceptable without any questions, so as I was told. To my surprise, my driver barely spoke any English, gave me no water, there was no intertet access inside the private car. AND NO CREDIT CARD accepted! The driver asked for 65 euros and when I told him I have no euro, he said go inside the airport and use ATM machine! I ended up paying 70 US dollar in cash and left Paris with a bitter note. Although this driver/ private car service is not run through the hotel, but it was advertised and guranteed by the hotel conceirge. I was quite furious actually. So beaware, book the airport shuttle bus service online before hand to avoide this mistake!

Perfectly placed little hotels .

This is a lovely little hotel in an ideal location to visit all the major tourist attractions. The staff were friendly & helpful and our rooms were upgraded on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The area is full of high end shops & boutiques. There are a few good restaurants nearby but the metro is so easy to use, and there are quite a few metro stations near the hotel, making it extremely easy to get around and see all the sights.

Our stay at the Hotel was great. The staff were really friendly and spoke great English which helped as I'm a typical Brit that doesn't speak french.

The one downside was that our room didn't seen to be cleaned properly when we were out.

Apart from that it was great and we were lucky enough to get a room upgrade. I'd recommend and stay again!!
