Terrible experience. When we arrived the hotel website says safe in room- not true. We were informed the key had gone missing so we had to take our valuables with us. Also someone used the washroom and didn’t flush (#2) which meant the room was not cleaned. Stains on carpets and there was a bug on our bed when we came back from dinner. We called the front desk but they said we had to wait until the next night to speak to a manager. We left the hotel and are still fighting with the hotel for a refund. Worst experience at a hotel we have ever had.

Fantastic location for our 4 night stay with access to several metro stations and just a 15min walk to Place de la Concorde. Plenty of food choices, some literally across the street! Good WiFi connection. Friendly welcoming and helpful staff. Bed and pillows could be better.

Perfect hotel at a great price!!

Although room was small but fairly normal by Paris standards, everything was adequate and quite for the of us. Staff was amazing and room was nicely touched up and filled amenities daily. Location is fantastic tons of shopping and cafes, restaurant choices as well as many Metro stops (subway) within a block or 2 .very safe area and would highly recommend!!

Perfect stay at this lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and the facilities such as Nespresso coffee machines, kettle, free drinks and snacks were a lovely unexpected bonus. Easy walking distance to major tourist spots and the metro for getting further afield was very close. Would highly recommend

The hotel is a little/lot worn - older boutique hotel but the staff were over the top accommodating! Best hotel staff we have ever had! The rooms were clean but a little dated and worn. Excellent location, very quiet. We would stay there again for sure - the staff were all 5 stars!

What a wonderful hotel. From the moment we stepped into the lobby it was a great experience. The team was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was the perfect size; and well decorated, comfortable and clean. It is located in an excellent location for restaurants and shopping. We will definitely return should we return to Paris. I can’t say enough good things about the Folkstone Opera Hotel!

Awesome boutique hotel in fantastic location

Gorgeous, well appointed & sized room. Nespresso machine, fridge, kettle, hairdryer & safe plus blackout curtains & automatic shutters on windows. Wet room shower, comfortable bed on a typical French street with two great boulangeries, several bistros & sushi restaurants & convenience stores. Staff was wonderful. Bath tub looked like it had been painted and was chipping so we never got to take a bath, the floor was stained and the bedding had someone else's hair between the top sheet and fitted sheet.
It's a convenient location for walking around Paris.

Looked good on line but disappointing..The room was too small for a twin room.The shower hose became detached
and the bath it was in was damaged.The complimentary drinks were not as listed,and reception advised us to go to the market for milk. There were no overhead fans or air conditioning .The room was not worth the price charged.

We asked to have the room with balcony (terrace), but didn't get one. Got no Gold Member preferences. Otherwise we liked the hotel and location, reception staff was very helpful - they printed boarding passes for us for our return flight and ordered taxi on request. Room was big enough and very clean. Cleaning ladies did great job, though not always on time. Will be happy to recommend Folkestone Opera for travelers.

PERFECTLY cute hotel in a GREAT location

After staying at a super expensive hotel by the Eiffel Tower we decided to switch it up and look for a more reasonably priced hotel in the Opera area.

Opera area is the PERFECT location to stay in. There are so many things to do in the area and it’s literally close to everything with the exception of the Eiffel Tower.

The rooms are cute. The service is amazing! The cleaning lady folded our clothes which was so sweet and unexpected! And the people at the reception were very nice and accommodating!

Remember that you are in a BIG city. A lot of rooms are smaller than if you were staying in a state like Texas where there’s a lot of space.

Compare it to Chicago or New York. Big city, smaller rooms. But you have everything you need and the prices is more than fair.

We booked two rooms here for two nights for the same price as one room by the Eiffel Tower for one night. It depends on your budget.

The breakfast was also really good. And they had scrambled EGGS which is not always offered in Paris hotels.

I personally loved it! I highly recommend it, especially if you are gonna be out and about most of the day.

Remember views are gonna cost you more. Extra beds are gonna cost you more.

Room under the roof was very narrow.
We could clearly hear neighbours during the night.
Bathroom door cannot close.
Shower is very small, totally different from booking picture.
Limited to no water in the shower.

Arrived at 10pm at the hotel to find it was closed for COVID reasons. I had not been informed at all. Really was not impressed. Thankfully was referred to another hotel around the corner which was vaguely expecting us - i think - although they didn't seem sure for a moment. Not impressed with Hotels.com either for not informing that the hotel was closed and i would have to stay elsewhere.

A gem of a hotel. Stayed 4 nights and everything and everyone were perfect. Location to Metro Madeleine, around the corner and hotel on a side street off the main road Tronchet was very quiet. Grocery store, restaurants and bakery (yummy croissants) were 2 to 5 doors on either side of hotel. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay memorable.

This underrated hotel is a stunning gem!

This would be what i sum one ofthe best hotel for its range, from the moment we check in, we have been greeted and served well, to the rooms which are much bigger than the usual crampy Parisian size. Its room deco is not old and outdated too, very up to date and kept well clean. Walli and Freddie have been very welcoming and helpful, and has lived up to my high expectations of a good service. We actually checked out and had been sitting at the lobby as our train departs late around 9pm, so we were able to see every the 2-3 hour period when we're there. The front desk really welcomes each and every guest amazingly with their positive vibes, and helping out the Italian, Australian, Japanese and also Chinese who were brimming with joy during checkin. Would definitely stay here again my next trip. Kudos!

Great location central to everything we wanted to see (Louvre, Orsay Museum, Arc of Triumph, Eiffel Tower, located in Opera district. We were promised two twin beds and only received two twin beds. Very unhappy about that. We had a private bathroom, AC, non-smoking, close to metro, average price was about $170/night, breakfast for the price you couldn't beat (15 euro), but the wifi was frustrating, it would time you out every 10-15 minutes. Horrible.

I go to Paris twice a year and always love to stay in the 3 hotels near the Madeleine area. This was my first stay in Best Western Folkestone Opera and I have to stay it is one of the best. The room is vert clean, tastfully decorated and very comfortable. I stayed for four nights and I found all the staffs are very friendly, polite and helpful. The manager, was super nice to upgrade us to a Deluxe room where we can relax in a more spacious room with a nice separate sitting area with a big sofa and coffee table. There are free coffee and tea provided in the lobby so you can take a good rest after a long day of shopping. The neighbourhood has lots of small cosy restaurants and there are two grocery shops. I enjoyed my stay last time will come back to stay next time for sure.

Last minute stay for the Tour de France final day.

The location is excellent, the size of the room I s normal for Paris, couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the room.

Negatives, not too many. A slight delay checking in as the receptionist (possibly manager) was dealing with domestic staff rotas whilst we stood. Receptionist was still polite. We waited for a few minutes the lift as it was then being used by the staff. The room & ensuite was fine, however there was a poor choice of coffee/tea provisions and the milk was curdled. The picture frame above the bed was far too low, as I caught my head on the corner twice as I sat up, quite dangerous. However despite all stated, I would recommend and stay at this hotel again.

I love this small hotel near La Madeleine. The staff are so friendly and eager to help, and the daily breakfast is a great way to fuel up for the day. The location is fantastic, too. Easy walking distance to the big department stores on the Boulevard Haussmann and to the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. There's a metro stop right around the corner on the rue Tronchet. There is a Rapid Market right next door where you can get water, fruit, and other essentials to keep you going. Plus there are multiple restaurants and cafes right there on the rue de Castellane. I especially like the Italian restaurant Le Cardinal across the street and the cafe brasserie Le Weekend up on the corner. The Cafe La Madeleine, only a couple of minutes away, is also very good. Some of the rooms may seem a bit small by American standards but they are clean and comfortable. You get free WiFi. It's a home away from home for me.

Great place, felt like more than 3 star!

Really great place to stay in a relatively pricey holiday destination! Staff were lovely, free wifi with rooms, 24hr concierge. The windows also have a button operated shutter system for those of us in bed while the European sun is still up at 9pm. Blocks out all light and some noise. Avoid a room next to the lift if you can, is a little noisy during tourist season with people coming and going.

Down a quiet street, walking distance from metros and RER. Better still walking distance from Louvre, Place de Concorde, champ de L etc. Designer aficionados will also appreciate the many beautiful boutiques and big names (Dior, Chanel, Guccii etc, 5 minutes away)Room very clean and typical 3 star - adequate, no thrills, but what do you need when just a bed for the night. Please note there is a safe, but you need €50 cash deposit for a key - we don't tend to carry cash when cards are so much easier. Would recommend to anyone wanting a weekend break dedicated to sight seeing

The staff has been extremely helpful from directions, to dinner booking and tour confirmation; location is close to many key shopping areas, it was easy to find which was good for uber drivers picking us up or dropping us off.

We paid a premium to stay in the suite, it was quite spacious when compared to a similar priced hotel room and the terrace was huge.
