Exceptionally friendly receptionist, high quality breakfast. The room itself was a little dated, even if I apparently got a renovated room, it smelled a bit of stale paint. A bit noisy as it was facing Saint Lazare station, but that's the choice I made by staying in central Paris. Location is perfect, can easily get anywhere in Paris from there.

This very small hotel has a good location and offers a good place to sleep. That's it!!!! Nothing else worth discussing.
For what it cost it wasn't worth it. Like everything else in Paris...it is overpriced and of questionable quality. Paris is beautiful visually, but, that's where it ends. The food was mediocre, the service was dicey, and most prices outrageous.

This is a smaller and older hotel but the location and service cannot be beat. It is just across the street from the Gare St Lazare train and metro station which made it very convenient. The staff was willing to store our luggage for free until the evening of the day that we checked out. Both of these things made it very easy to stay there.

The location was excellent as it was right across the street from the train station and the subway station. Because of the location, you could hear the trains so that was a bit of a downfall. But being so close to the station outweighed the train noise. I’m just super sensitive to sound.

The hotel is aged. The room smelt heavily of carpet cleaning product, and despite keeping the windows open for the vast majority of the time, the smell was there. The size of the room was small, and that was okay had there been adequate storage to hang clothes. The hotel is well located, albeit the entrance always had miscreants or homeless people by the door. Not something the hotel can actively control on its own; but it’s a poor entrance. The receptionists are good. A solid 10/10. A chap called Jacob,I believe, couldn’t have done more for us. He was really efficient and smiley. As were the rest of the crew. They made up for the lacklustre of the hotel. The hotel is well situated. Needs renovation urgently.

This was my third time staying with my family at Le grand Hotel de Normandie. I love the hotel. It's close to everything. A short walk to les Grands Boulevards and Magazines. 10 min to the Opera. 10 min to the Madeleine. It is in a shopping area, nice atmosphere all over the day and in the evenings. Brasseries and cafes are always busy, terraces packed with people having a meal, a drink or a coffee and connecting with one another. This has changed a lot in the last few years. I noticed Paris is getting more of a Madrid's kind of nightlife. Very fun, warm and welcoming. Loved to see groups of people just celebrating life around a fresh homemade meal or a nice French wine. Having Gare de Saint Lazare station across the street means it's always busy but in a nice way, as people are always entering and leaving the station. Very safe area. There is a Carrefour in the station, which is convenient to buy some water or food you might want to keep at the hotel.
The hotel is very well communicated. There are several Metro and RER (train) stations close to the hotel: Saint Lazare, Hauvre-Chaumartin, Auber... and you can move really fast across Paris. Staff at the hotel are very friendly. Ali, at the front desk, has helped us the three times we stayed, and always goes the extra mile to ensure you have everything you need. I will definitely come back to Le Grand Hotel de Normandie, hopefully very soon.

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever been. The room vibrates when the subway passes. Everything is old and looks dirty, the street looks dangerous: when you go out of the hotel you have next to the door on the left 1 homeless peeing in the street and on the right a group of 5-7 man drinking and dealing…

This was our first trip to Paris and this hotel was just what we were looking for. It was clean and convenient to The Louve, Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Also had good food and shopping nearby. Train station was just a few minutes walk from the hotel. I would highly recommend Le Grande Hotel de Normandie.

Easy walking distance (25 to 45 min) to Galerie Lafayette Mall, Louvre Museum, and Eifel Tower (if your in good shape) or catch a quick Uber. Shopping, Dining, and Train stations right at your doorstep! Hotel is clean but I did see a few shady folks hanging aound the entrance… they did not bother us but, just being honest. Of course rooms are small but hey who cares you should be outside exploring enjoying your life in Paris! I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY at this hotel again for the location and easy access! 😊

Could not have a better location! Across the street from Gare Sainte-Lazare with easy access to the Paris Metro and area trains. Area was safe. Room was quiet, despite being located in a busy area (shopping and restaurants are also nearby). Was very clean and comfortable. We had enough space, which is a premium in this city. Front desk staff go above and beyond. Would stay here the next time I am in town.

The room was comfortable and clean. The shower was good. It is in a great location for central Paris and very close to the metro/RER. The breakfast is decent and reasonably priced. I don’t think it is 4 star quality and needs a bit of a refurb, particularly in the communal areas. The hairdryer did not work, nor did the bath plug.

Steps from the metro station. Easy to get anywhere in the city. Next to shops, bistros, fast food. The room was very large with a double bed in the main room and a single in a room all it's own. The staff was very friendly upon arrival we were able to check in 3hours early which after 12 hours travel was absolutely amazing.

Very good location and nice standard room for what was needed. We stripped the room and no evidence of bed bugs which was reassuring. However did find a fair few hairs on the floor and bedding. The walls are quite thin so could hear other guests at silly hours. Nice coffee and really excellent shower. Staff were friendly and very smiley. Would recommend for anyone during a city break holiday. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

I want to start by saying, this hotel was great before I even got to Paris. They reached out to me and advised me of transportation from the airport to the hotel. They also asked me my room preferences. And of course once I got there they were extremely nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend. The hotel was clean, and very close to transportation all over the city. Would definitely stay here again!

Very welcoming and personable front desk staff. Very clean but dated. My adult daughters left the do not disturb sign on the door one morning and woke up to cleaning staff( man) opening the door. He quickly apologized and left but left the girls feeling uneasy. He may have knocked … they didn’t hear anything.

Very walkable property, very well situated near Metro stations. Shopping across the street. Close to many dining options. The kebab take out place downstairs is worth a try, very fresh and tasty!

This is one of the best options to stay in if you like to be in the heart of shopping areas with an easy access to transportation hubs, also a lot of dine out options.

Good location and friendly front desk. Room was bad. Floor was soaking wet. Figured out why when I heard the air conditioner dripping water all night when I went to bed after a long day day. The large 6 foot bathroom opening door fell off the hinges when I opened it. Almost fell and shattered. Random paint chipped off the wall in the hallway on my floor when I checked in along with trash (4 or 5 rooms on the floor). Worked for me to have a twin bed and just sleep. Got it near coworkers which is why I booked. If you need to hang your head then it's fine but don't expect anything fancy. At least was very quiet and staff friendly.

Great hotel in the perfect location. Walking distans to Galleries Lafayette and other shops, hundreds of brasseries around where one can have a glass of wine or lunch/dinner or just a cup of coffee.
Very friendly staff. Rooms are small (it is Paris after all) but very comfortable.

Stayed with 2 daughters and wife in a quadruple. I thought the other beds were more twins than pullouts but it worked awesome. Any concerns I uad were eliminated by the location and the front desk service. This Hotel is top notch and not too pricey. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

One of the receptionist, oriental looking men was extremely rude and blamed me and yell at me. Telling me I was stealing a yougurth from the little coffee area. He kept on going and was SO rude, unprofessional and disrespectful to even my 80 year old mother and sister.

Good & very convenient location, next to the St Lazare train station, one of the major station. Well connected. Safe place. Near many shopping centres like Galeries Lafayette & accessible to major attractions. Nice staff. Especially the front desk Mr Ali, very helpful & warm! Speaks good English, which is a big help!
The 3-person room is good except for the quality of the beds.

This is a boutique hotel! Have stayed twice during the past year. The breakfast costs extra and has a lot of variety, but what makes this hotel so wonderful is the staff! Front desk people were always welcoming and helpful and the head of housekeeping is a gem! It is adjacent to the Metro and train station so very convenient for getting around Paris quickly!
