I would say between a 3 and 4 star, average-appropriate, I am sure it was amazing in it's prime, the pictures are bit curated to show it's past pristine times now it is it a little \"tired\" bur our room was clean, if you have big luggage the elevator situation is very hard and nobody offered to help, my husband & I were ok but I can see how it can be difficult fora lot of people But we were out and about most of the day so it was just fine a couple of night stay, the location is great for that side of Paris. the breakfast was just what you need to get your day going, very welcomed

Nice room with a balcony and daily cleaning. Staff was helpful and always around. They accepted our last minute same-day booking. The hotel is walkable to Montmarte and the Arc de Triomphe. It’s also only one or two metro stops away from most other major Paris attractions.

We love the sweet little typically Parisian balcony. It is an old building with character. The stairs are a little skinny, but there is a lift. The staff are lovely and helpful with any questions, or requests. Thus us the second time we have stayed here. For the price bracket it is definitely the best value, it has character, and it is close to good transport to get you all around Paris

I stayed at the New Orient Hotel for a 5.5 day Birthday vacation as a solo woman traveler. I cannot say how FABULOUS and SENSATIONAL everything about this hotel was! My flight coming to Paris was delayed a day, and Stephane was very accommodating and eased my worried mind that I would not lose my room. He also assisted me with booking an extra night so that I got all of the days intended for my fabulous Parisian vacation.

My room was clean, I had two balcony doors, it was decorated chic and charming, and I could not hear any of my neighbors at night or even any noise coming from the street outside. We were right across from a small grocery store and a 2 minute walk from two charming cafes at the end of the street. The hotel isn't a far walk from the metro station. The hotel also isn't a far walk from Champs-Élysées and also isn't a far walk from the Galleries Lafayette Paris & Saint-Lazare train station area which has a lot of stores and restaurants.

Don't worry about a taxi going back to the airport because the hotel can arrange that for you for a reasonable flat fee. The continental breakfast is excellent; healthy and delicious, you can come downstairs to eat or have it delivered to your room.

Thank you Stephane and Yunus for both of you being so kind, willing to help and answer questions, and making me feel safe & secure as woman traveling alone. I give New Orient Hotel 10 out of 10 stars! When I visit Paris again, I will only stay here.

I read there was supposed to be lots of shopping around the area and was disappointed. The property is rated as a 3 star however i would give it more of a 2 star.

The front desk/registration staff were friendly and helpful and this was appreciated. The hotel is older/historical so i understand there are some things they cant change but the stairs are really dangerous. There is a lift but its weird because it doesn't stop directly on floors so you still have to carry luggage up or down stairs and they are very narrow.

Each day we went out of the room we had to step over/around the housekeepers laundry bags that filled the hallway. We didn't ask for housekeeping services (saves them labor cost) but they didn't offer to replace the towels and they only provided 4 towels total.(no washcloths)..we asked to exchange them and were given 4 semi tired towels total. We also asked for ice and they said they didn't have any.

At over $250 a night (no breakfast) these are fairly simple things to fix.

I was disappointed, when I booked this hotel I was told check out time was 11.00 am and when I checked in, I was told that check out was 10.00 am.

Another issue, when i booked I was told complimentary breakfast , after having breakfast I was told by the server that i have to pay for breakfast. What a rip off.

We loved staying at the New Orient Hotel. Stefen and all staff we had contact with were very helpful and personable. The hotel itself was quaint and in a great location. Attractions and restaraunts nearby, a supermarket directly across the road. Unfortunately no facilities in the room to make a cup of tea or coffee and no fridge but this did not retract from our stay.

This hotel provided us with the perfect base for our trip to Paris, its location is ideally set between several metro stops and the neighbourhood is easily walkable for dining/shopping options. This was a small boutique hotel in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. It was recommended to me by my sister in law who lives in Paris. We had a little terrace that we could sit out on and watch people go by. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. There were a couple of little boulangerie's within a block of the hotel for breakfast or lunch. Our conciergerie Stephan was extremely helpful. He was very friendly and spoke perfect English as we are from the US. Stephan was friendly and was able to answer our questions about the area and how to navigate the Metro. We would stay there again.

The rooms are perfectly fine & clean, small but that's usual for Paris at this price. It was amusing to have a toilet within what I can assume was once a cupboard, fine for us as we are both petite, the sink & shower were in the opposite corner. A first for us. But the room was largely quiet & the space suited our needs.

Perfect spot for us. It was in a quiet neighborhood, 5 minutes to 3 metro stations, we got everywhere. We loved walking to Parc Monceau, food markets, boulangeries, and even to a show at Salle Playel. Most of what you might need is walkable. Staff was helpful and English speaking. Lots of sweet touches, for example the cleaning person always took a minute to set up my daughter's stuffed animals in cute arrangements on the bed. All I can say, we loved our stay.

There is an intimate, personal service at this hotel that I find charming. I felt like they tried to please each guest based on his/her individual needs. We choose 2 twin beds. They were comfortable. It was a small, tight room. We were given an option to upgrade to a more spacious room but we opted to keep what we had. If there was one negative, the toilet space is very small but we made do. I would return.

About 15 stairs up to tiny elevator ( expected) but with lots of heavy luggage and a husband with disabilities, not ideal. Rooms also very small but Stefan does everything. I had a wonderful 6-night stay in Paris. As expected, hotel prices in the city can be quite high, but this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was small but very clean and well-organized. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful. I had a bad cold during the first two days and asked the manager for hot water each day—he kindly remembered and kept checking in on me later in the week, which I really appreciated. He also recommended several great restaurants nearby—although I didn’t have time to try them all, I’ll definitely check them out next time! Breakfast was also great—croissants and baguettes were my favorites. Overall, friendly staff, good service, and a clean stay. Definitely recommend!

The hotel was comfortable and clean and in a good location for transport and restaurants and the tourist attractions. I would recommend. Our comfort room was basic and quite small but fine for one nights stay. The man on reception on arrival was helpful and got us a taxi and we could leave our bags on checkout until we needed them later on. The breakfast was basic but ok.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the New Orient Hotel along with three friends, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. From Stefan at the front desk to the rest of the friendly and welcoming staff, everything felt warm and inviting. The hotel itself is ideally located, just a short walk from coffee shops, restaurants, and shops, with easy access to the Metro. We found everything we were looking for in a superior room (with balcony & 2 beds) at the New Orient Hotel. Restaurants on the same street, ten minute walk to the Opera & luxury shopping mall, also closest hop on hop off bus stop to the hotel) less than 5 to grocery shops, & a convenient laundry mat across the street. We felt very safe and the staff helped us with EVERY request including providing a glass with ice for our night-caps on our room’s balcony or micro our leftovers and let us borrow a fork! The ONLY thing this hotel needs is a mini fridge in the room, when staying for multiple days you need a fridge.

Night manager very nice day manager very cold … the room was TINY with a massive wood wardrobe that made it truely claustrophobic ! , toilet in a cupboard , ugly internal view, peeling paper on ceiling and a lift that was only reached by stairs and was a hazard to enter as right on the staircase , I use a cane and it was a nightmare … room 20 “a comfort twin” no comfort to be had here it was however very clean so well done cleaning staff but the posh exterior and reception leads to fairly crummy rooms
