I had a lovely room facing the street. It had a small balcony and a street view. It was quiet at night, and it’s a nice neighborhood, easy to walk and very safe. The room was quiet, it had everything needed, and I could not hear my neighbors even the the hotel was full. The bed was very comfortable! The hotel staff was exceptional, and when I return I will stay here again.

In general, based on the cost, I expected to see a better-maintained hotel. The rooms need renovation and are very small. The bathroom is extremely cramped, and I doubt a tall person would even fit. The room was on the second floor and didn’t have much of a view. As for the balcony, on one side it was difficult to step out because there was furniture blocking the way. The sheets were stained!! Overall, the photos make it look like it’s in excellent condition, but in reality it’s not! Be careful!! Upon our arrival we were asked for a deposit, which is absolutely reasonable, however the charge could only be made with a physical card — something we didn’t know. In the year 2025 people use digital wallets!!

The hotel is lovely and in a great location.

There is just one problem.
The tiny tiny rooms!!!
I have never stayed in such a tiny room for 4 nights.
The balcony was only accessible via the French doors which you could only just squeeze past making entry to the balcony with a coffee almost impossible.
The toilet was so small you couldn’t open the door without opening the sliding toilet door removing any chance of dignity and the steep climb into the bath made it a constant hazard of falling either getting in or out of the shower / bath.
The wardrobe had 4 hangers and would have struggled to hang anything more than 4 items of clothing.
We spent the entire holiday living out of our suitcases as there was just nowhere to put things or store items of clothing / toiletries etc.
The aircon didn’t work effectively leaving us no option but to sleep with the French doors ajar which wasn’t ideal as the road was very busy and noisy.
The room really spoilt our holiday

The hotel was great, however the first night in the 1st floor room wasn’t pleasant, noise from cars and hearing people talking next to the building. The room I was moved to was much, much better. I appreciated how they were willing to hear me out and offered an alternative room. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The property was located in a very convenient location. Our week in Paris was well spent at this hotel as it was easy to walk to many attractions or take the Subway/Trains to others. The hotel itself was cute and rooms were pretty spacious. We had a Junior Suite for two adults and a child and did not feel cramped. The staff were also quite friendly and helpful.

As for the downsides, the property was not very clean. On the surface it looked OK but if you pay a little more attention to detail, you will realize they did not. The biggest problem was the rationing of air conditiong that occured at this property. During the day, they automatically turn off the AC in the units and when we come back from our day, we have to request for them to turn on the AC or else we are sweltering in 28 degree Celsius heat. They kept saying that when people open the windows, the AC turns off automatically but I call BS as we never opened the windows at all. They would also only lower it to 22 degress Celsius so if you prefer it colder, like we do, it will be a problem. Lastly, the room was noisy in the evening because you can hear the floor above you moving the chairs in their living room. The chairs are heavy and drag on the floor and I'm sure the people below us could hear us too!!

Great boutique hotel near Gare Saint-Lazare. We were here in early July during a heat wave and the hotel was so well air conditioned! The room was comfortable and fairly large for a Parisian / European hotel room. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and were so kind to our small dog. I would stay here again and highly recommend to others.

Eh - clean but a little disappointing

Unfortunately, after a long day of travel we got to the hotel (which was not easy to find as the address took us to a different one down the street) and our room was not ready. We weren’t surprised by this as it was before check in time. They happily stored our luggage and we returned a few hours later to hear our room still wasn't ready. They offered us a drink at the bar which was kind but we really wanted a shower and to to get settled after an overseas flight. The room wasn’t ready for 2 hours past the check in time.
The room was small, which was to be expected. But be warned, the tub side is VERY tall! I’m not very tall and had to hang on to the side to get in and out so i wouldn’t slip!

There are two metro stations close by to the hotel (Europe and Villiers). Walkable to Monoprix for us to get a few items before heading back to our hotel when needed. There are restaurants but we didn't get a chance to try it.
We stayed at the junior suite since we had three people in our stay. When we got to our room, our sofa bed was not pulled out. Apparently we had to pull it out yourself, I thought the housekeeping should have prepared it for us. One of the light probably blew out since it didn't turn on but when they came to clean the room, they replaced the bulb. Overall, stay was OK. Wished the room was a bit bigger but I guess that's space is consider big in European standard.

My only complaint was that the A/C was not working the first few days. We had to sleep with the window open and it was very loud. Day 3 it was fixed. (I assume it could have been fixed sooner - it was just a reset)
I would definitely stay again.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this unique hotel. The information about Proust and his work was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, although we were hoping for fresh coffee rather than machine coffee. The surrounding area has many shops, bars and restaurants which was extremely useful and convenient and Parc Monceau is a short walk.

We had an issue with our room air con which unfortunately didn’t get fixed despite us reporting the issue to staff.

Besides this we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Rooms and public spaces are smaller in person than expected based on photos. Air-conditioning is a bit difficult to program, and it seems to resist any changes to cooling when it is warm. Overall, the hotel and room has the basic necessities.

Location was great as it was walkable to many dining options. A nice quiet street, walkable to multiple sights within 30 minutes.

The location and the staff are great. The hotel looks good at first glance, after the first day/night you’ll realize the craziness.
First, our wash room does not have a shower curtain, so every time we use it, it gets almost flooded so you have to shower quickly.
Second and worst, our floor/ carpet in front of the bed is soaking wet. We complained since you can smell the damp mold when we walk in the room and when sleeping we told the front desk and they just didn't anything.
The breakfast food is not that great either.

Our recent stay at this Parisian hotel was made particularly enjoyable by the outstanding service we received from the front desk. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English, which was greatly appreciated and made us feel instantly welcome.
We looked forward to the breakfast each morning, which offered a nice selection of typical European fare. It was a great way to embrace the local culture, and we encourage fellow American travelers to appreciate this style of breakfast rather than expecting a heavy, American-style spread.
The rooms, while compact, provided a comfortable and homey base for our Parisian adventures. Interestingly, we booked two separate rooms, and they were completely different in their decor and layout. This difference in room styles likely contributes to the varied reviews one might find, and we can understand why, especially concerning the bathroom door situation (though this didn't detract significantly from our stay).
The hotel's proximity to the Metro was a huge plus, allowing us to easily navigate the city using multiple lines. Furthermore, we felt very safe walking around the neighborhood at all hours and enjoyed the abundance of delightful cafes nearby, perfect for experiencing the classic Parisian street-side dining.
Despite the variation in room styles, the exceptional service, convenient location, and safe, charming neighborhood make this a hotel we would consider staying at again.

What a great little spot! 3 train stations within 7 minute’s walk to give you easy access to the entire city. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable with in-room coffee. The room was roomier than we expected. The area is very quiet! The staff was very kind and incredibly responsive when we had a very small maintenance issue in the room. Highly recommend!

Good for a short trip

The hotel is simple but well decorated. Bed is comfortable, nice nespresso machine, water filters and glass bottles for guests, well decorated.
I wish they would increase the quality of pillows, hairdryer (very bad), and added toiletries besides soap like lait de corps (body moisturizer) or hair conditioner.
Something to note is that the room is very small, I wouldn’t recommend it for older travelers or anyone with any mobility restriction. The bathroom is also tiny - only one glass sliding door separating it from the bed (super intimate…), and no closing doors or curtain for the shower, the whole floor got soaked quickly…
As per the title, it’s good for a quick paris trip in which you’ll be out all day. Didn’t try the breakfast. For the price paid (~€120 night) it was ok for a hotel in this location. Staff was nice.

This was a good hotel: safe, accessible & in a good location. However, we could not agree that this is 4-star. Our room was so small that suitcases had to be lifted up, onto the bed to be opened. The room stunk or cigarettes (we had to sleep with our balcony door open). Water was never replaced in the room. No iron or mini fridge. Our stay did not include breakfast as we preferred to eat out & explore. Because of this, we were sternly asked not to make ourselves a coffee from the breakfast coffee machine. Considering how much our stay cost, one complimentary coffee shouldn't have been too difficult.

I have to thank Karin for his hospitality which is not extremely common in Paris, I have to say. I had some issues coming from the airport on the top of the wicked headache after not sleeping on the airplane. He was very helpful from the moment I got there until the day I left for the airport. The check-in time is 3 pm but he made sure I got my room sooner than that. Paris is beautiful. Parisians however would be a topic of a very different conversation.

The Room I booked was with a balcony - the first room I was provided was more like a cell with no balcony BUT, staff recognised their error and moved me to a room with a balcony. Given the size of he rooms this made a huge difference and I would recommend always booking a room with one.

Loved that I received a little cake on arrival and was given a bottle of water each night. Towels are amazing felt like clouds. Staff was so friendly and nice. Nice furniture around the hotel and artwork.

The room was small, could use with a bit of a redesign, i.e. the minifridge was used as a side table but then the wardrobe is so small you have to place your clothes sideways. the desk was big that maybe the minifridge could fit under it? To give a bit of space, I wasn't really able to put my suitcase in a good place.

You can hear the noise of the trains every so often but is bearable.

The location was good for me, short walk to the metro station Liege (6mins) you can also walk to other brassieres near by. Would stay there again.

I liked the theme of Marcel Proust. It is a clean and renovated property with modern and simple neutral decor. I like having the nespresso coffee, water and the madeleine in the bedroom ; very nice touch. Staff was great. The gentleman who wlecomed me was amazing and lovely. The bed so confy ; my room quiet.
Brekfast was really bad . Fresh squeezed orange juice (orange pressée) was bottled orange juice, bread was not fresh -cold inside -the viennoiseries were warmed (how can it be in Paris), the whole breakfast was not good and I did not eat it. When I told the reception she said I will let the staff know but I still paid for it. My stay was so wonderful until that time.
