There was no wifi in the rooms. We had to go out into the courtyard to make calls and use internet. We could not do work in our room so we had to go and get daily workspace. The door keys had to be constantly reformatted due to some fault with hotels key system. We had to go to office daily with our keys. These two things alone made the stay work instead of relaxing. Also there were bugs in the kitchen and the room carpet was gross under foot.

First time in 30 years we did not get the room we asked for. Place seems like it hasn’t been refreshed in a decade. The room next to us kept opposite hours from other guests - hence we didn’t sleep through the night once in nine nights, and hotel would do nothing about it. Turns out they had been there almost 30 days. Seems the place is being used for temporary housing.

Overall good place. Clean (no carpet in room). Our kitchen was lightly stocked but the chairs were a little old. Biggest complaint was it was advertised as a pillowtop mattress. This was NOT true. Bed was very hard.

I am so surprised there are so many positive reviews for this hotel.

The first room I was put in was in SERIOUS need of an update. Dirty carpet, baseboards, walls, damaged furniture (all surfaces were completely banged up/burn/water marks, broken lamp) I asked to move rooms and did get moved to a more updated room. It was still needing some TLC. The pool chairs are newer and nice, but the pool and hot tub need some repairs. The edge around the hot tub is full of dirt/mold(?). Overall, it was fine enough that we stayed the whole 3 nights, but I would definitely not spend the amount we spent to stay there again. It needs a serious update.
Pros: Friendly staff, good location for walking to downtown, it was quiet at night while we were there.

The room was spacious and clean, though a bit worn. (Chipped paint, holes in curtains...nothing major). Staff, especially the fellow who checked me in, were pleasant and helpful. The grounds are pleasant and well-maintained. My room, accessible only via a spiral staircase, was awkward for someone with balance issues and a large suitcase. Parking could be a bit dicey.

Great property, love the views, the pool, easy parking. So convenient to downtown Palm Springs with all the dining and shops. Can stroll down quiet streets of the movie colony checking out homes of movie stars of the past. Really feel part of the ‘old Palm Springs vibe.’

I stayed at this hotel, and honestly, it was a terrible experience. The place was extremely dirty, smelled awful, and the floor moved a lot, as if it were about to break. The beds were very uncomfortable.
When I arrived at night, the receptionist misled both me and another guest by saying he would leave us a parking space when his shift ended, since the hotel has very limited parking. Instead, he left in a hurry and I was left arguing with the other guest. In the end, I gave my parking spot to the lady, and I had to park across the street in a vacant lot, very dark, with no lighting at all, and constant homeless traffic passing through that area.
I do not recommend this hotel at all.

The staff are welcoming and friendly and it's close to restaurants and shops. The hotel is a bit worn though. The room we were in didn't smell great and had visible stains in the carpet. Sound proofing is pretty bad. There was quite a bit of noise from adjacent rooms. Ear plugs are a necessity. But the price is reasonable and the pools and courtyard are pleasant.

The room was in major need of updating. It smelled every time we entered our room. There was mildew and possible mold everywhere. We never wanted to look up and when something rolled under the bed it was kind of gross. The staff though was very friendly and accommodating.

Its better than expected for this price range. We are in the king with a kitchen and it is spacious. Comfy bed. Very clean.

The pool needs cleaning on the bottom are green patches of mold? Not sure. Jacuzzi is cold near our room. There is another pool but I did not check it out
I saw people enjoying it.
Overall, I like this motel.

Avoid this place, when we checked in our keycards didn’t work. After an hour and a half, they could not get the door open to get into our room. We just had to book another hotel last second. It was more inconvenient that they can’t even give me a refund on the spot, I was told I had to contact the Hotel app I used when I booked the hotel. I couldn’t even get a refund due to how impossible it was to get the information to get a hold of support instead of ai. Main point: avoid this hotel, it’s old and run down. Staff has even made comments how crumby the place is.

The property itself was nice, however when you got into the room, that was another story. In my room, there carpet had multiple “ripples” in it which could be a trip hazard. The transition between the carpet into the kitchen the carpet was torn and the tack strip for the carpet was exposed, and in the bathroom the sink look like it was separating from the counter.

I think the property would be well served to really take a look and see it from the guests standpoint.

I was not expecting a 5 Star hotel, but at least look at it from your guests standpoint and see what they see.

Stayed here before and was extremely please with everything from cleanliness to the location of our room. This stay was nothing like our first. Stayed in a room next to the Gate only to hear the door constantly open and close not allowing a good night sleep whatsoever. The Lamp Charging outlets didnt work. Our room was dirty and we could hear the oboxious neighbor next to us early in the Morning. Called to speak to management only to get to Voicemail and no call back. Very unfortunate again because our last stay was Nothing like this one.

We spent three nights at this hotel and were only able to have one restful night. We were first placed in a ground level room with windows to a major street/highway. The room had a cricket in the walls which was loudly active the whole night. So between the cricket and the constant traffic on the road, we barely slept. Fortunately, the front staff agreed to move us to a 2nd floor room where we had a restful second night. However, on our last night, we had people in an adjacent room or hotel staff loudly talking/arguing the entire night! Walls are paper-thin so it felt like if they were sitting in our room. Overall, terrible experience not even worthy of a low-end roadside motel, let alone the hefty nightly rate we paid!

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The location was convenient for seeing the major sites. The wifi connection for the internet was spotty at best, and we were unable to stream anything. The dryer was not working the day we tried it. The outside seating was inviting, but the cushions were not put out for 3 days and it was not raining.

The good:

- Staff were very friendly and happy to assist wherever possible.

- Location is central enough to be able to get into town by walking, ride share or driving (parking is available on-site)

- The property is quiet and the pool and spa are a great addition

The not so good:

- We asked to change rooms shortly after arrival and learned some rooms were more modern than others. The first room had a broken door to the bathroom, ripped curtains, no exhaust / ventilation in the bathroom was quite dark and not at all like the images posted online

- Notwithstanding the room change, the property and facilities are very dated and in need of upgrading.

- The electronic keycards malfunctioned several times and needed recoding

- The two bathrooms we saw are in dire need of upgrading: especially the shower mixers (very hard to regulate pressure or temperature)

- Housekeeping is by request only, which is quite fine, except there are not enough amenities, towels, etc provided for longer stays

- The pool towels are poor quality, very old, and need replacing. The bath towels were torn and rather small.

- There are 2 vending machines offering beverages and snacks, but no filtered water provided in rooms or even a water fountain to fill from

- We found very little value for money staying here compared to other properties in Palm Springs

- The laundry onsite is a good addition but the dryer was not working and due to it being operated by a 3rd party, no refund

The front desk closed at 1 am. So what was I to do? I told front girl the following, she really didn’t care.

Love that most rooms have a kitchen. I had a room with a queen or king bed but had a room with bunk beds and kitchen. They have bar b q grills. They have a pool and hot tub and the hot tub is as big as a pool. Small and modern. Love it! Great staff as well.

Property is in reasonable, but not amazing, condition. The exterior of the property is well maintained, but the room was worn down -- the bathroom floor was cracked, the carpet was discolored. The furniture had missing laminate. But it was still a great stay. The staff were accomondating and friendly, the room and property were clean and I liked the location. We were a 10 minute walk to the fun part of town. The hottube was great, the pool was ok.

There is no one in the office after midnight. It was surprisingly quiet but that may have been the fact that the window air conditioner was very loud. There is only one lock on the door and I saw a few shady people entering the property from the side door. They were younger. I didn’t feel particularly safe here. The bathroom was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable however the floor had bumps in it. I believe it had peel and stick flooring over damaged parts. The employees were kind of helpful but not very professional. Overall. I would say choose some place else to stay! The prices were also too high for what they offered especially in August.

Many years staying here and staff and service is good. This stay was not the same, room clean but air conditioning needs updating, still working fairly well but roars like a boat taking off in a lake when it kicks in and starts, it continues to make different sounds, it kept my husband and I awake most of the night. Did not sleep well at all.

We didn’t notice the noise at first because we checked in and went out for the afternoon about town. To late to request a change of room but will definitely do it next time.

We will be asking for a different room if it happens again in a future visit.

We enjoy the location and access to Downtown restaurants and shopping.
