Very Scary.. police presence every night. Filthy room! Food still in refrigerator. No coffee pot or any kitchen stuff. Cupboards broken. Only 2 towels .. But they kept the pool clean. Sheets were stained, lipstick on pillow cases. Just Scetchy!! Wouldn't recommend to Anyone!

I think my 6 year old granddaughter could paint the walls better than whoever did this room. Room floor dirty with candy on floor and I am one penny richer! Microwave dirty, refrigerator dirty. Vanity faucet not fastened down. Tile fallen down. Tub spout not attached fully. The only good thing was the bed. A memory foam type mattress that you just lay on and get engulfed. THIS WAS A PREMIUM room. I hate to see their regular rooms!

The sheets were dirty when I arrived, there was nail polish on the bedsheet. The bathroom had hair on the toilet and on the sink as if someone had shaved and the bathroom was overall disgusting. The bathtub and shower was untouchable. There was an unknown black goo on the tile floor. The A/C unit reaked of smoke.

Positive: the parking lot was well lit. It had a fridge and microwave in unit and a little sitting counter/nook area. There were no bed bugs that I saw.

We've been here for months and never had an issue that wasn't addressed, hot water is excellent in our room, AC is also excellent, we didn't have any issues with anything really... Neighbors are pretty quiet, front desk manager is really nice and ready to work with, its inexpensive and I sleep like a baby here. I think that some reviews are really harsh and over the top because I've been on 3 different rooms here and if something was needed, Gigi makes sure to take care of it right away.

The room was adequate. They are trying to do little things to improve the look of the room. But I knew what I was getting with the cost of the room and the area. We were there for spring training and we were just going to sleep and leave and I got exactly what I expected. If you’re looking for a luxury in amenities, not this place if you just wanna crash for a few hours and get out for cheap this is definitely your place.

The room was not clean upon arrival, but the staff did send someone to clean eventually. Upon cleaning they took all our stuff because they thought we checked out. Our stuff was returned and we were reimbursed for an item that was damaged. There were no problems with neighbors or the AC. The Staff did there best to accommodate us and that was appreciated. I would not stay again if i had a choice, but this place was decent.

All parking was closed off or being used by trucks loading and unloading things in their homes so there was little so no parking. In addition there was random people coming in off of the streets that truly had no reservation there, and it was very evident from the lack of any belongings areas were very dirty from the front door all the way into the unit, and it looked like the property itself was just falling apart

If I could give no stars, in fact, minus if I could! The property looks nothing like the pictures they show on Expedia; it looked great on the site with windows and California shutters hence it turned out to be a total misrepresentation! Do not be fooled by the pictures. It was like a prison without any windows, paint peeling, much smaller than depicted on the site, completely unsafe and the room was horrifying. It was a third of the size shown on Expedia. I stayed for a few seconds and that was enough. We ran as far away as we could! We stayed for a few seconds and we still did not get a refund for those few seconds. They charged us for all that stress even though we did not even stay that night.

BUYER BEWARE! Do not even think of staying there as it is scary!!!

Front desk staff was not polite and was immediately defensive at check-in, which raised an early concern.

The room itself was unacceptable. Floors were sticky, counters were not cleaned, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout. The bedding was visibly dirty, with stains on the sheets and blood on the pillows. The bathroom was unsanitary, and the plumbing under the sink was exposed, broken, duct-taped, and leaking water onto the floor, creating a safety hazard.

Due to these conditions, we did not stay and left immediately after notifying the front desk. We were told a refund would not be issued, despite the room being unsafe and clearly not as advertised.
Expedia also declined to take accountability. Even with photo documentation and a formal request, they stated they could not issue a refund without hotel approval.

I strongly recommend choosing a different property and booking platform that prioritizes customer safety and basic cleanliness standards.

The receptionist is behind a thick plastic (maybe bullet proof) window, the sink in the room was filfthy, the shower/tub was not clean either. The sheets had black hair in them and smelled unclean. There was a subtle and continuous cat utine odor near the bed. The refrigerator was extremely loud. The deadbolt in the door did not engage.

This was the most disappointing disgusting places I’ve ever stayed. I had a hard time even showering there . Mood in the windows, never had my sheets clean or clean bedding and towels. Not once did they clean the room in 5 days. I had to go ask for towels and got an attitude. I would never stay there again . Management was rude multiple times. Just as well slept under a bridge .

This place needs some major updates and better cleanliness standards. My room wasn’t clean when I checked in, there were no other rooms available, and it was 11p after a day of travel. I had to ask for supplies to clean the sink and the toilet and linens-that while they were clean, were stained!

I was able to get a new clean room the next day once one became available.

The manager was unavailable the whole time and the staff was unable to do much though they were apologetic.

It was a disgusting and disheartening experience and I will not be staying here again.

American Executive Inn should be ashamed of themselves.

While searching for a hotel to stay for the night we came across this one online and thought the pictures of the place were nice. Turns out, this hotel looks nothing like the pictures advertised. We walked into our room and were completely appalled by how dirty, unsanitary, and disgusting it was. Our deadbolt didn’t even lock. We didn’t feel safe staying there at all. There was toilet paper clogging the bathroom sink, footprints on the walls, trash and dead bugs on the floor, ripped bathroom towels, stains on the toilet seat, and busted outlets. It was disgusting! When going to complain to the front desk, they said there were no refunds issued after check in. They didn’t even offer to clean the room. We didn’t feel comfortable staying there so we just had to lose out on over $100. We felt dirty just being in there. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

To room was not clean. Everything on the property was questionable. Outlets in the room did not work, sheets and towels were very dingy. Window shades were broken, bathroom window glass was broken in three places. Terrible.

Decent location, rooms are absolute trash.

Power outlet that powers the cable box and TV was inoperable. Checked the breaker, other outlets fine. Tons of badly patched drywall, holes in the walls. Doors, walls and carpet are heavily stained.

A/C works but is not sealed to the outside. Weather stripping on the main door frame doesn’t seal.

Once it rains and gets warmer all of the crawling bugs will have direct access to this room.

Avoid this place at all costs, I saw an open room while checking out with similar issues. Extremely poor maintenance.

Room was very dirty and poorly maintained. Bed sheets were stained with dirt/ what looked to be urine. When asking for extra towels I was told there weren’t any available (despite being given only one towel. Bathtub was rusted and did not drain properly, leaving pools of still water at the bottom, which was there when I first checked in. Blinds were broken allowing light to shine from the parking lot. Bathroom door was broken, making it incredibly difficult to open and close. Worst of all, the room absolutely reeked. I stayed in a smoking room, so expected it to smell somewhat, but the lack of any proper cleaning and inconsistent ventilation led to a god awful smell during the entirety on my stay. Easily the worst inn I have every stayed in.

That was the nastiest place I've ever stayed in. Everything was dirty and falling apart. In order to take a shower you need to run the water for 10 minutes to get rid of all the cockroaches, and if you want to keep the cockroaches at Bay you have to leave the lights on. And I found nothing clean the bed sheets were nasty, the floor was nasty, even the towels they had were nasty.

Bottom line: the place is a dump.
Dirty floors, dirty stove, dirty nuke, dirty fridge, dirty counters, damaged doorknobs...just a shabby, ratty place.
But that's not my complaint.
When you go for cheap, you don't expect five-star lodgings.
But THIS place...
I checked in Saturday evening and was too tired to do anything but have a few beers and crash.
On Sunday, I took care of business in town during the day then came back to my room and had a nice hot shower before bed.
Come Monday, there was no hot water.
I don't mean it was lukewarm; I don't even mean it was ice cold.
There was NO water coming from the hot water taps - hot, cold, clean, dirty - nothing.
I told the manager. \"Yes, we're doing repairs it will be back on soon\".
But it didn't, so I went to bed.
Woke in the morning and still no water from the hot taps.
Did my ten-hour shift at my new job and came home...still nothing.
I told the manager. \"Just turn on the tap and leave it open for awhile\".
Okay.
Got cold water for about five minutes, then nothing.
Woke Tuesday morning, nothing.
Did my shift, came home, no water from the hot taps.
I told the manager's dude. \"What room? I'll send someone over right away.\"
No one came.
Woke Wednesday, did my shift and came home to...
You know.
At this point I knew better than to talk to the manager.

So I just stunk for a couple more days and then left.

EPILOGUE: As I was packing to leave, another tenant asked if she could shower in my room before I checked out.

The second night we stayed there was a lot of commotion outside our door yelling and cussing. It is a very unsafe and unclean place to stay at do not stay hear.

I was packing about $12,000 of music equipment in my vehicle. My first impression was that the neighborhood looked sketchy. The bars on the office door and windows added to my concern about security. I was a couple hours early for check in, I was told the housekeeper was not there yet. The last deal breaker was when I realized that this motel is over 20 miles from where I wanted to spend my time. I opted not to stay.

This is an older hotel and it shows. However, its outward appearance belies other accommodating features, such as its affordability, courteous staff, comfortable bed, old but functioning amenities (refrigerator, microwave, stove, television, small bathroom). It is in close proximity to metro and freeways. I would gladly stay here again on another trip to the Phoenix area and use the money I save to spend on dining and entertainment. \"Don't judge a book by its cover.\"

The stay was great. The lady during check in was very nice and the fastest check in time I have ever experienced. The room I had was very spacious and clean. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful, close to nearby grocery stores Safeway and H Mart, close to the Metro Rail. When my travel plans call me back to the Phoenix area I will look to return and stay at American Executive Inn.

Terrible place to stay. My room looked dirty, had a leaking faucet and no hot water. I asked to get it fixed and they never did. They told me the handy man quite so I offered to help with handyman services in exchange for hotel stay which they agreed. I worked for them on a Thursday for three hours. With in that time I fixed a clogged toilet a leaking sink and also cleaned there maintenance room completely because it was a disaster. I couldn’t access anything in there plus they didn’t have proper tools. They agreed I would return on Sunday to continue work on Monday but when I showed up on Sunday to check in they told me they changed there mind and denied me to stay and said they would only give me $20 for Thursdays work. At this point I had no we’re to stay and i just had drove 6hrs to get there. They never called me in advance to notify me of there changes. Honestly it looked like everyone there is on drugs including management. Warning stay away from this place!

This Motel is one of my wife's and I's favorite when we visit the Phoenix area. The staff is beyond friendly. They are prompt. The owner has even added the personal touch. We've stayed here quite a few time. On one occasion it was getting late on our check in day. Something out of the ordinary for us, she literally called our cell phone to make sure we were all right. Nobody does that anymore. We feel part of the family!!!!!! Two thumbs up!!! Way up.

When we arrived (family of 3, with a 4 year old), there was food scraps on the bed, and hair on the bed and in the bathtub. This wasn't the kind of hair that comes from your head, either. There were wrappers on the floor, the headboard of the main bed was leaning over about to fall on the bed, there was white stuff on the table and chairs, and even with the door closed, the smells of several different substances being smoked was heavily prevalent. I went to the office and the employee on shift offered me new sheets but said that the manager wouldn't be in until Monday and the housecleaner wouldn't be in until the next day. There were no additional rooms to move into, so I returned my key and left with the family, heading down the street to Super 8, where for $20 more, the room was clean and comfortable.
