Lovely hotel and interior was quirky and cool. Nice and clean room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only criticism was our room was the first on the landing so we could hear the lift shaft go up and down and quite noisy. But overall it was a nice hotel.

We did have an issue with the room and had to speak to the manager for rectification and she did deal with our concerns amicably.

This is THE PERFECT hotel. Rooms were clean, spacious and beds comfy. Friendly and helpful staff. Great quiet location but close to main tube line and two stops to central Vienna. Lovely bar area to have a quiet drink at the end of a busy day.

Good location just a few streets away from the underground. Easy walk into town if that is your thing. Rooms are quirky & basic but have everything you need with comfortable beds. Surrounding area very quiet after 10pm.

I had a wonderful stay at Max Brown Hotel. I had 2 nights booked and I arrived very early in the morning. They allowed me to have an early check in for a very reasonable fee which was great after a long flight. Reception staff were very friendly, breakfast was fantastic and the location is great.

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. My only issue is when I went to check out I had my bags packed in my room but I was unable to enter my room because the key card didn’t work. So I went down to the reception and he was missing for almost 30 min. I was on my way to the airport so it was an inconvenience to me and I also ended up having to pay my taxi driver for that 30 min extra he had to wait because of the reception issue. The bar tender was more than happy to help me and even tried but he was new to this job and didn’t have any knowledge of the desk and how to fix my card. So maybe give them that knowledge just in case.

Really cool, modern hotel. The location in the 5th district is fantastic, it's a very short walk from Pilgramgasse station and it's so easy to get there if you're taking the City Airport Train.
The lobby was cool and modern, but the room we were in (second floor) did not match the Scandi-minimalist design that I see in the photos on the Expedia listing - the colour scheme was more black, red, and silver, and while the room itself was fine (beds were comfortable and the aircon worked fantastically), the hallways had some amusing bedazzled silver lizard figurines attached to the walls.
The breakfast buffet was standard, but delicious. Guaranteed to start the day well-fed!

I was pleasantly surprised. This boutique hotel has a nice lobby and common areas. The rooms are beautiful decorated and the small size is good for 1 or 2 people. Close to transportation, U4 line is 4 blocks away and it takes 10 minutes and 2 stops away from Opera. There are no mini fridge or coffee in rooms, but coffee and water are available all day on dining area. Customer service is superb. They all were very nice and welcoming. There are 2 small elevators and a big group arrived during my stay, so I used the wide stairs. However, these need better lighting on upper floors. Breakfast was delicious and vast. I will definitely stay here again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this boutique hotel interior. It’s very chic. The room is very nice and the small one is perfect for 2 people. The location is near by the tram, which in 2 stops it takes you to katplatz close to the Opera. The customer service was superb and the breakfast was vast and delicious, There is no coffee in the room, but you have access to expresso machine at the lobby. The downside is The lack of a small fridge. All Billa and Bipa & smaller shops are close on Sundays so it will be helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for solo travelers.

There was one man on reception on check in who wasn’t friendly, I’d gone on the trip to practise my German and upon check was told he had a headache and didn’t want to speak German or help and to just speak English. But he was very rude about it, all the the staff were extremely friendly and nice apart from the one person. The room and the hotel was stunning, however I went with my mum and we had a twin room, the twin room is 2 single beds and are not big enough for the average adult. I’m a 6ft 2 male and didn’t fit on. However the bed itself was very comfy, just not big enough. Other than that really liked the hotel and would stay there again

I am rather uncertain how this was a 4 star hotel. The photos posted on Expedia's website do not look like the rooms at all. The hallways have peeling wall paper and torn carpeting. Our first room had a water leak making the bathroom flood. There are no closets. There is no where to put your bag, so be ready to open it on the floor. There is also no safety deposit box, mini-bar, nor fridge, all items I would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Making allowances for the construction (which I was unaware of when I booked), the room was not as advertised and service was slow. Amenities like the gym and sauna were not available for use, I had to ask multiple times for extra hangers, room was very poorly lit and missing a desk lap. The hotel brands as a trendy hotel for music lovers was absolutely not delivered on. No record player or any kind of speakers, no music in the lobby, not even a QR code with playlists. Really disappointed by this place. It had a lot of promise and totally failed to deliver.

Shower does not have a sliding door/door, no complimentary water in the room. Breakfast was great. I think the breakfast part was the only thing I liked about my stay here. Instead of offering an apology for the elevator issues, he argued back and tried to justify the delays. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel, primarily due to the unprofessional behavior of the reception staff. A little courtesy and understanding can go a long way in the hospitality industry, and this hotel fell short in that regard.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel fell very short due to the poor quality of the rooms and the poor customer service we received afterwards. We experienced several problems with our rooms (being given a different room than we had booked, a room directly next to the noisy lift shaft, and then a room with no hot water), resulting in having to switch 3 times. The size and quality of the rooms varied drastically, despite apparently all being the same rate, so what you actually get is a lucky dip. When we checked out, the receptionist (who, to her credit, did appear to try her best with the situation) confirmed that the hotel would compensate us due to the issues we experienced. However, a month later, we have not received any compensation, and the management has told us that we made no complaints at the time? Apparently we just switched rooms for fun. Abysmal customer service and I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

I also loved the bath products, body wash and shampoo smelled fantastic! This was my fourth time staying there and I would definitely go back again.

The hotel is a little “retro” and about half an hours walk from Vienna central, which didn’t bother us as we enjoy walking. However, Vienna has a very efficient underground metro system and the nearest station is only 3 mins from the hotel. We stayed on a B&B basis, and I defy any one to say there wasn’t anything they could eat from the buffet, there was a varied choice & plenty of it to start your day. The only drawback for me was that I’m a little over cautious and there wasn’t a safe in your room, but we padlocked our suitcases & there wasn’t any issue. Staff were very welcoming, helpful & approachable & sent me an email before we arrived providing details how to get to the hotel from the airport. As stated, the metro system is extremely efficient and affordable, with day tickets allowing unlimited travel on the whole transport system within Vienna for approx €8 for 24 hrs, €13 for 48hrs & $18 for 72hrs, all of which u can get from the ticket machine at the airport or any metro station. All in all, Vienna is a beautiful city & I would have no hesitation in recommending the Pentahotel to visitors.

The bad:
For my bad luck the a/c not working at all, the room on the first floor it was very hot during the day. I can’t stay for rest or work in my computer. The offer me a crappy portable fan that run with a lot of noise. Night time was a little better because the temperature was lower. But with open windows a could not sleep for the outside noise specially on the weekend.
Overall, it’s a nice hotel if you stay for 3 nightie or less. The breakfast it was decent but limited compared to 3stars hotels in Spain, UK , Norway or Germany in my experience. The menu is the same every day, very limited in food choices without cava/champagne or other goodies. The a/c situation was intolerable. They offer me a drink but, Who can work or sleep in a dry sauna?? Only excuses that they were waiting for the technician. But six nights?? Other guest also complained with me but were staying only few nights.

For my bad luck the a/c not working at all, the room on the first floor it was very hot during the day. I can’t stay for rest or work in my computer. The offer me a crappy portable fan that run with a lot of noise. Night time was a little better because the temperature was lower. But with open windows a could not sleep for the outside noise specially on the weekend.
Overall, it’s a nice hotel if you stay for 3 nightie or less. The breakfast it was decent but limited compared to 3stars hotels in Spain, UK , Norway or Germany in my experience. The menu is the same every day, very limited in food choices without cava/champagne or other goodies. The a/c situation was intolerable. They offer me a drink but, Who can work or sleep in a dry sauna?? Only excuses that they were waiting for the technician. But six nights?? Other guest also complained with me but were staying only few nights.

The hotel is very nice and new. The decor and ambiance was perfect. The check in counter was at the bar and without signage so that was a bit confusing. The pillows were so small and soft they were virtually nonexistent. I could’ve asked for more pillows but was too tired to call. Other than that the location was excellent and the amenities were top notch. I loved the old/modern mix of the place.

I had a great stay at Pentahotel! The reception staff is great and the friendly girl at the desk remembered my name and greeted me in the morning! The breakfast spread included both hot and cold foods and was really good. Heading straight up the street, you get to the city center, and come across a lot of great restaurants and cafés on the way.

Close to the sights with a 5 min cab ride. You are greeted by the bar which doubles as the front desk. Very non corporate feel which I loved. Great lounging all around the main floor. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were relaxed (appropriate for the surroundings)but very effective and friendly. Rooms aren’t big but they had everything you needed with an eclectic theme throughout. I would recommend the Pentahotel if you like a relaxed non-corporate vibe.

The hotel has a funky vibe and the decor reflects this. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. There is a 24 hour bar and a number of spaces to t and relax in. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was a little too large for the room and it was a bit squishy getting in and out of bed. Spillway menu would have been helpful as the pillows on the bed gave no head support. Wifi was a bit slow but easy to access.
