Amazing hotel with both a mountain and beach side, each offering a unique feel. Beach vibes are fun with chill music, while the mountain side is serene and quiet. Rooms are clean, spacious and have nice balcony views. The resort has several restaurants and food is quite tasty. Located on the north end of Kamala beach, it’s an ideal location on the island as Patong and Phuket town are not far. Kamala beach is not overcrowded but has enough to do. Also being near the beach end is nice (and shady!).

The staff were amazing - we got upgraded to a villa which was just gorgeous and Dew helped us settle in. When my young son and I got sick and needed a doctor everyone helped us and the hotel even provided dehydration medicine... The pool was spotless and the beach was beautiful. Hopefully next timethe weather will be sunny... Thanks to the staff again!

The only issue I had with the hotel is the breakfast. It’s ok. It’s definitely not bad, and it’s better than average, but it is not great. For a property whose lounge services were phenomenal, I thought the breakfast would be better. That said, if you’re looking for a kick back and chill spot, this hotel with the lounge package is where you want to be.

The hotel was fairly new so everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff were all very nice, but their English was a little hard to understand. Also the breakfast menu felt limited after two days. The beach was wonderful and the pools were nice. It was unfortunate that we couldn't use the infinity pool because of our young child. As long as an adult accompanies the child, they should be allowed to use the infinity pool.

Our August stay at InterContinental Phuket Resort was outstanding. Service was flawless from start to finish, and the Thai-inspired design was stunning. We chose a forest-view room overlooking lush greenery—perfect during monsoon season.

The Sati Spa was a standout. Both the Traditional Thai and Balinese Oil Massages were exceptional—one energising, the other deeply relaxing.

Dining at Jaras was a highlight, with refined Thai cuisine and impeccable service—made even more special as we celebrated our engagement there.

We also loved the Devas Afternoon Tea: beautifully presented and delicious in a serene setting.

A truly memorable stay that exceeded expectations. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful hotel but noise issues

Overall a wonderful hotel with some great promise. I especially wish to call out Frankie from the front desk who was exceptionnel. We did struggle to get good sleep due to the night club facing our room which is unfortunately why I couldn’t rate this hotel better and this issue would make me think twice about rebooking.

Not the most kid friendly place.
I have previously book a resort in Krabi and spent $10k and stayed there for 5 days. When I came here I just booked a mediocre room. It felt like if you didn’t have a premium room here all the staff wanted to mention it. Not the best treatment if you don’t have a premium room. It’s just funny because overall this place isn’t even that top tier or expensive. The person who checked us in was great and some of the waitresses were very nice as well. However the vibe is off if you have children with you or if you didn’t book a premium room. The highlights of this place are the pools . Beach is not that great and the “Michelin” restaurant is not good at all food is a solid 6. I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world and I’m not that picky but this place was not good. Overall this place is 6/10 for me and will probably not return. I hope to give you all and honest review so you can enjoy your vacation. This perspective is coming from an American dad with a 5 year old son.

The lobby looks clean for being an older hotel. But outside of that are the property is outdated and not well kept. Room is outdated. There was stale smell in the room. I had to keep the door open the entire time. Luckily there is a balcony. Nice beach but have to walk across the street. But the tunnel is safe and convenient. The pine restaurant at the beach is excellent. U can walk along the beach to the town area which was nice.

Service across the board was great. We love Franky! Breakfast buffet was good. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the drinks were very weak pours. Nowhere close to the standard 44ml (1 1/2 oz) so the drinks all taste like mocktails.

An absolutely amazing stay with excellent service. The grounds of the property are immaculate, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. The service was excellent and would like to give a special shout out to Matty at the beachside restaurant who went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one! Thank you Matty!

It would be nice if the hotel provided some sort of complimentary service to guests considering the room rates. There was absolutely nothing free at this hotel - not even a chocolate at turn down service. A complimentary breakfast or afternoon tea would have been appreciated.

It was a beautiful property though and we did enjoy our stay overall. However, just felt we had to pay for everything in addition to a high room cost.

The rooms are outstanding and the scenery outside with the pools and mountain background is very nice. The breakfast is great and lots of options for everyone, there's a number of restaurants and the menus are so good we ended up not really wanting to go anywhere else for food. I had 2 days where I got sick from a cooking class in another area of phuket and the chef at Pinto restaurant on the resort would make me a personal soup for dinner and breakfast to help which I cannot thank them enough. It is also on the nicest side of kamala beach and has beautiful sands and water.

Overall, I would 100% return and recommend this hotel to anyone. If I had to say what made this hotel the best it is most definitely the staff and how quickly they come to your attention.

Intercontinental was exactly what we wanted!!
We stayed in pool access room that was amazing! The room was big, with big balcony as well !!!
We arrived with our baby and the room was ready with crib, and baby steam sterilizer, that we asked for advance.
They even put in the room Johnson & Johnson baby products for the baby!!

The service was good !
The food was delicious !
They have a great restaurants at the hotel !

The beach and the pool was excellent!

If you are visiting phuket I could not recommend this hotel enough. The rooms and facility as a whole are so well taken care of. Gorgeous well appointed resort with beautiful rooms. Staff are lovely, amazing restaurants and breakfast buffet. Excellent at catering for dietary requirements. We stayed in a pool access room on the mountain side. The resort is split into mountain side and ocean side sections with a main road running through it. They are connected by an underground tunnel.

They booked a pool party next to our room that included pounding music that left us with no peace. So they moved us to another room and after being out all day and returning to the room after 5:00 pm they had not cleaned the room. I will never go there again.

My experience during this stay was outstanding. The property is new, clean, comfortable and kept in an excellent condition. The staff were impeccable and totally working together across different departments. You never had to repeat your request twice and each staff had a basic understanding of English you didn't have to struggle to explain yourself.

Food at the different restaurants were also good, as with the massage. You literally do not need to leave the hotel if you are here for a short weekend.

Places for improvement - it would be nice to have seating areas at the ground floor of each hotel block with a phone service to wait for the buggy or wait for house cleaning to be done. It would also good to have cozy shaded seating areas throughout the estate as well instead just at the reception block or beach side.

The property is split between mountain side and beach side with a tunnel connecting the section, this broke up the seamlessness of the property. I think they attempt to be as wheelchair friendly as possible and offering buggy service for those who cannot walk much or climb stairs. However, the strange thing is that though there are handles and steps into the pool, there are steps without handles before getting into the pool area (with the beach side pool only offering a step free access).

I totally enjoyed my stay and would recommend anyone to stay at this property.
