Parking in front of hotel is free but need to change a manual clock twice a day I. The evening from 5 to 11 pm as it’s a public free parking.
Sauna is 5 euros and is a very average sauna.
No slippers provided in the room to use sauna.
Croatian restaurant besides the hotel was closed but a Greek restaurant nearby names creta is good.
All in all nothing special. Just an average room to sleep. For some reason there is a mention of a gym on hotels.com but there is no fitness facility and the receptionist mentioned that there never was a gym at the property.
Covid test or a vaccine certification is asked at the reception during checkin

Quiet, leafy suburb close to the old city

We wanted to spend a few days exploring the ancient city of Mainz and this hotel was close enough to the centre to make the drive in easy. We appreciated that it was in a fairly old suburb, with narrow streets and many trees, and not too much traffic. We spent three days exploring Mainz and saw the old Cathedral, the Gutenberg Museum, the Chagall windows at St Stephan's, the Roman ruins under the city, and a vibrant market. Parking in the downtown area was easy at Am Brand, an enormous parking lot underneath a shopping centre (check out the shoes!!) within easy walking distance of some of the oldest sites, which date back to pre-Roman times. Add in local wines and beer and you have the perfect holiday location! Half an hour from Frankfurt Airport and within easy reach of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Middle Rhine Valley.

Transiting between Frankfurt Hahn and Frankfurt International airports via a rental car, we saved money by staying at this hotel conveniently located nearby the autobahn in Mainz only about 30 minutes driving time from FRA International. Two restaurants and two grocery stores nearby added convenience to our stay. The room was basic, comfortable and very clean. The staff was friendly, very helpful and welcoming. Included breakfast was ample with a large selection. We would stay again.

Our stay at Centro Hotel Bristol, Mainz

We came to visit several Christmas markets in the area with family. This hotel was located outside the city center, but was still ok. There were a few restaurants within walking distance and several more within a short drive. There was also an Aldi within a short walking distance. (There was a ball field within view of our window and games could be watched from above in our room). The hotel desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The dining area and breakfast was fine, although the dining area staff didn't seem that friendly. Our room was a little dark, but spacious and clean with lots of storage. There was a small refrigerator. The water pressure from the shower head was not the greatest. The hotel has a pool, an elevator and its own parking lot. It is evident that this hotel is an older one and that it might have been a higher end one in earlier years, but we still had no big issues and it was fine for us.

Nice hotel for the price.

If you're looking for a lot of bells and whistles, this isn't the place for you. You get a room, bed(s), and shower facilities that are clean and comfortable. Decor is slightly \"dated\" but I don't need to have the latest tile, furniture, or carpet. I'm there to see Germany and visit family.

The continental breakfast was plentiful: rolls, sliced bread, soft-boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, yogurts, and cereal. Tea, Coffee, and Juices. The \"breakfast window\" was great - until 10 am - as I'm not always an early riser.

The staff is friendly.

There is ample parking next to the hotel.

Some additional notes....
- There appears to be a bar in the hotel but it wasn't open during my stay in December. (Maybe its open during spring/summer?)
- There's no restaurant in the hotel but there's a great Croatian Restaurant next door. I ate there twice and enjoyed a simple, reasonably priced dinner. And the aperatif that they give you with the bill is YUMMY! They do not accept American Credit Cards so be prepared with cash. (This is not uncommon in Germany. Read the travel sites.)
- There are two grocery stores within walking distance: Aldi and S-Checkin Center. I believe there was a mini bar in the room but no refrigerator or microwave.

Hidden jewel. Nice comfortable hotel. The town center is a bus ride (#62) away with the bus stop practically at the hotel doorstep. Pool and sauna were terrific. We would gladly stay there again.

A good budget hotel with a great breakfast, super fast check in, comfortable beds, clean, quite, excellent location for car drivers with free parking, easy to get to nearby cities. The room's air was a bit stuffed and smelly when we just got in. After opening a window it became better. I'd recommend this hotel.

Hotel had no aircon so rather warm in the room. To be fair, a heatwave was on during our stay with outside temps touching 25 deg C in the evening.
We arrived by bicycle and they were locked together in their garage though this wasn't secure to the outside world.

There's something wrong here....

We arrived to a very luke warm reception. getting to our room we found to single beds set up separately when we had booked a double. We were getting used to the two single beds pushed together everywhere we went in Europe by this time but we weren't about to start sleeping apart. I went back to the front desk and asked for a double bed as we had reserved. The person at the reception sent the housekeeper up to our room with a vacuum and she proceeded to push the beds together and vacuum the dust up from under the bed that was moved. We appreciated that; however, this room was not meant to be a double room. The head boards were affixed to the wall so although the beds were now together there was a random headboard on the wall just off to the right of the bed. When we went to bed that evening we found it very rough. As it turns out the hard mattresses didn't have a mattress cover on them. The only thing covering the mattress was a single thin cotton sheet. The most uncomfortable stay of our whole trip was at this hotel.

The hotel was also quiet a ways from the centre of town. It was a 45 minute walk or a 25 minute bus ride to get to the action. The bus was convenient as the stop was just around the corner from the hotel and the walk was pleasant as we chose to walk through the green space and then came upon a large city park and walking through it took us more than half the way to town.

Smelly hotel, terrible location

This hotel was so far away from the train station that we had to take a taxi there which was 18€ each way, making the total for this room way to expensive. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but the whole room smelled of smoke. It was hard to breathe it was so bad. Our clothes stunk by the time we left. The room was a good size and there was a fridge to put stuff in which was nice. But it is in the middle of nowhere and finding a place to eat was hard. Breakfast the next morning was good. Would not stay again because of the location and the smell of the room.

Not close to town center, cold

We were supposed to stay three nights but only stayed one. We quickly found out that if you don't have a car you cannot get to anything in Mainz easily, including decent places to eat. This was huge for us because I was there for work and while I was gone each day, my husband was going to walk around and sight see. Plus we are vegan and needed a place with some options for restaurants to choose from.

In addition to being secluded, the tiny radiator in the room didn't throw off any heat, even when turned on high, plus our window was open when we arrived. The room never heated up above 54° F. It was so chilly we could barely sleep.

The toilet in the bathroom was starting to come off of the wall so when you sat on it you were tilting to one side.

Overall, the room was clean and tidy but extremely dated. The entire hotel looked like a dated motel from the states.

No one really sat at the desk. They say in a back room and just looked out every so often. It wasn't very welcoming. They were very nice when they did come out to help, but just odd.

Breakfast was included but when I went to grab an apple out of the basket they were mush and two flies flew out when I moved one. That pretty much put a damper on eating for us.

We knew we weren't booking the Ritz when we made the reservation. Everything else in Mainz was booked that week and we didn't realize how far away from everything we would be.

A great place to stay

We arrived quite early in the day (10:45AM) just to see if we could park the car at the hotel before exploring Mainz on foot. The hotel staff were very friendly and actually allowed us to check-in to our room early! The room was clean and spacious with everything that we needed. The only minor issues were that despite the window being tilted open, the room was still very hot and the pillows were really soft. Other than that, we really enjoyed our overnight stay and the buffet breakfast was excellent.

Too noisy

Not only is it on the busy Frankfurt Airport flight path, with flights going over at low altitude from 5am till 11pm but there is no air conditioning so you can not close the windows to muffle the noise either. Also we asked for a quiet room but was placed over the reception, which is lit with neons 24hrs a day illuminating our room throughout the night. To top it all we endured loud groups of guests below our window chatting away till midnight, only then to be woken by revellers returning at 4.30am! Lingering below our window chatting excitedly. Then just as you think you might get back to sleep the flights start. Not our best experience in a hotel, a shame really as the hotel itself is quite nice, the staff helpful and breakfast first class. It's unfortunate it's so noisy. If I had known this I would never have booked it.

Noisy hotel on Frankfurt international flight path

We stayed twice on a recent trip to Germany. Disappointed no reviews mentioned the hotel is on the Frankfurt airport flight path! Averaging a flight a minute from 5am to 11pm. Very noisy indeed and as the rooms do not have air con you can not keep the windows closed to shut out the noise. Even worse on our second stay last night despite requesting in writing and at check in a quiet room we were placed over reception which is lit so brightly our room was illuminated all night. Also very noisy with other guests outside till midnight then late revellers at 4.30am. And of course flights at 5am. It's a shame really as the hotel staff are lovely, the breakfast superb and the location in Mainz and the motorway excellent. Unfortunately it's so noisy it far outweighs the positives. I would have slept better in the car!

For the hotel to be non-smoking, the morning manager shouldn't smoke right at the entrance with the doors wide open. Breakfast was a bit uncomfortable due to the odor. Parking is free but the hotel is only convenient for Mainz if you already have a car. Room was clean. Wifi/internet a bit odd - T-Mobile hotspot which only allowed one user at a time.

It's a bit out of the city center, but there's a bus stop right around the corner, and during the day it is a very nice walk through the Volkspark to the center. There are several restaurants in the area, maybe up to a 10 min walk from the hotel. Nice pool and sauna, I would recommend.

Das Fenster war leider nicht ganz dicht, weshalb das Zimmer im Winter schnell auskühlt und über Nacht trotz Heizung nicht warm bleibt. Das war wenig gemütlich.
Zusätzlich sind Zimmer und Badezimmer schon gut in die Jahre gekommen.

Wo ist die Hygiene und Gewerbeaufsicht?

Die Zimmer sind abgewohnt. Vorhänge gerissen, Feuermelder fehlt, Bad dreckig unhygienisch nicht gereinigt, Haartrockner kaputt und alt. Badvorgang siffig. Toilettendeckel gelb.
Handtücher löchrig.
Das Frühstück ungenügend. Man hört im Speiseraum, wie die Mitarbeitenden sich Schuldzuweisungen zuwerfen,
Geschirr wurde nach langer Zeit weggeräumt - beziehungsweise Gäste haben Geschirr auf andere Tische gestellt.
Ich musste leider zwei Nächte in zwei verschiedenen Zimmern schlafen. Z.B. Zimmer 102 im EG.
Beide waren unbewohnbar.

Für alleinreisende Frauen eher nicht zu empfehlen - sehr viele Handwerker aus Osteuropa- Bierflaschen auf dem Flur, lautes Gerumpel ab 5-6 Uhr, nachts einmal Schreie und Schläge - unheimlich! Muffiger Geruch im Zimmer, Holzmöbel abgenutzt, keine Minibar oder Wasserkocher/Kaffeemaschine, aber zwei kleine Wasserflaschen - Bett weich und gut, Kopfkissen ebenfalls angenehm, keine Dusche, nur Badewanne, daneben direkt ein Fußplatz und tägliche Spiele und Gegröle

Freitag Abend Anreise, an der Reception sagte man mir, dass am Wochenende Frühstück erst ab 07:30 Uhr möglich wäre, würde 10 Euro kosten, war für mich aber zu spät, im Fahrstuhl stand dann Frühstück Sonn- u. Feiertags, Frühstück ab 7 Uhr, ansonsten ab 06:30.
Die Zimmertür Nr. 325 war mal aufgebrochen worden von innen waren noch die Splitter an der Türzarge. Die Toilettenspülung lief die ganze Nacht, bei geschlossener Badezimmer Tür, ging es. Das Bad und das Zimmer waren ziemlich alt, das Bad sogar nicht so sauber, ein Flüssigseifenspender war fast leer. Der andere am Waschbecken, ganz leer. Staub noch im Kleiderschrank. Im Fernsehprogramm funktionierte nur ZDF.
Schön war eine Flasche Mineralwasser, mit zwei Gläsern und es war nachts ruhig.

Das Hotel ist wirklich schwer in die Jahre gekommen. Die Möbel sollten erneuert werden, ein Anstrich wäre auch nicht schlecht. Der Geruch in unserem Zimmer roch nach Abfluss als wäre das Rohr kaputt und Zigaretten. Kurz gesagt ich war entsetzt. Eingecheckt 10 Minuten später ausgescheckt.

Klassisches, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommenes, Tagungshotel. Ausreichend für Übernachtungen; wer hier einen Wellness-Urlaub erwartet, ist leider falsch unterwegs.

Dafür aber sehr sauber und insgesamt gepflegt. Das Personal war freundlich und schnell.

Frühstück war nichts Besonderes, aber mit 12€ auch entsprechend günstig und dafür auch gut.

Die Lage ist mitten in Mainz-Weisenau und damit etwas vom Stadtkern entfernt. Je nach dem, wo man hin möchte (Hechtsheim, Volkspark, etc.) ist die Lage aber natürlich super, weil es in der näheren Umgebung keine weiteren Hotels gibt.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ja der Fluglärm ist zu hören, war aber okay, Ansonsten war es sehr ruhig im Hotel. Große Zimmer, freundliches Personal. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war sauber. Ich konnte sogar kostenlos parken. Der Parkplatz ist groß genug.

Wenn man mit dem Auto kommt ist es super. In die Innenstadt mit dem Bus allerdings 25 Minuten. Taxi hat am Sonntag Abend 18 Euro gekostet.

Wow. So tolle, nette Mitarbeiter. Ich durfte früher einchecken, bekam Tipps zum kostenfreien Parken sowie zu meinem Innenstadtbesuch. Das Zimmer war funktional eingerichtet. Besonders habe ich mich über die Badewanne gefreut. Ich war mit allem sehr zufrieden und werde beim nächsten Mainzbesuch diesselbe Unterkunft wählen.

Da waren drei spinnen in unserem zimmer. Wir sind im aufzug stecken geblieben. Die türen im zimmer haben nicht richtig funktioniert. Es war laut und der parkplatz war klein.

In die Jahre gekommen

Sauberes Hotel, welches gut für kurze Übernachtungen genutzt werden kann. Die Kundschaft setzt sich hauptsächlich aus Montagearbeiter oder Angehörige des THW zusammen (Ausbildung und Übung). Es ist aber ruhig und sauber, auch wenn die Einrichtung wirklich in die Jahre gekommen ist und die Bäder den gleichen alten Stil widerspiegelt. Es war gerade Messe und daher die Preise doch etwas zu hoch.

Übernachtung etwas außerhalb ohne Besonderheiten.

Hotel ist etwas ausserhalb und nächste Restaurant nicht so leicht zu erreichen. Zimmer ist okay aber der Service im Hotel sehr begrentzt. Keine Bar / Restaurant etc. nur einen Getränkeautomat , der zudem noch leer war.
