No one at front desk for over 5 minutes when I arrived. The two workers I saw in that time told me to just wait, someone would be down shortly. Great location near the train station for a quick one night stay on way back to Frankfurt but there was no mini fridge to keep food items I had purchased chilled. I ended up putting them out on the balcony since it was inthe 40s and hoping the animals didn’t get to them. Front desk closes somewhat early and there was a large gathering in room next to me. Very thin walls and tile floors (one of them had heels) made for a noisy night. The highlight was the Italian restaurant across the street; their food was amazing.

This hotel was amazing. In a great location, close to the train/bus station. The staff was amazing! Couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. AC would have been helpful during our stay, as it was really hot, but they gave us fans and the windows opened. The street noise gets a little loud with a bar down the street. Some rooms were more affected by this than others. Would stay here again!

The room was great, service was excellent but the fact that the elevator wasn’t working and we were on the 4th floor was a bit of a challenge! Since the elevator hasn’t been working for over 4 months it would have been nice to have been given a heads up!

Great service and beautgiful hotel! It is also in a great location! We had a window over the main shopping area which was nice for people watching and easy access to everything. The ruins are small but it may or needs. Breakfast is good.

Close to trains and clean enough but run down looking and even with windows closed it sounded like they were wide open with constant noise from Kelly’s pub nearby, trains and cars and people yelling , got almost no sleep at all.

We were in a room on the fifth floor. The elevator was broken. The room was 80 degrees farenheight and there was no fan. The room was no smoking but smelled of cigarettes . No free coffee inside room. No refrigerator either. Only positive is hotel was close to train.

Hotel has a convenient location close to the train station but is a little bit away from the old town (about 1 mile). The hotel is comfortable and clean but very dated. It is also relatively expensive; I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Cologne prior to staying at the Schottenhof for the exact same price.

A pleasent city hotel within easy reach of station

The hotel is situated close to main railway station and transport hub. It has a good sized room which was clean and well prepared. The hotel is well situated for visiting xmas markets and for business in the city.

This hotel is quite convenient from FRA airport. Taking S8 S-burn, 30min. It locates in front of
Mainz.HBF. Room was clean but elevator was broken when I stayed. t was so tough to bring my
luggage to 5th floor. I hope it has been fixed now.

The location (2 blocks from the train station) and cost is why we picked this hotel. Our flights home had been cancelled due to weather and we needed a place close to Frankfurt to catch our new flights out. There was a huge textile fair starting the day our flights were cancelled. Normal hotel rates in and around Frankfurt were exorbitant.
This hotel in Mainz was clean, no frills and does have a 2 man elevator to get you to the 5th floor if you can't manage the 5 flights. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but it is offered for a fee. The staff spoke English and encouraged us to walk down to the old city of Mainz. What a delightful surprise the old city turned out to be. We will definitely set aside more time in Mainz when we return.

Very nice hotel in a convenient location.

We had a 2 night stay. My wife and I were very pleased. The hotel is less than a five minute walk from the main train station. Central city is an easy 15 minute walk. You are close to many nice restaurants and bars/pubs. Walking to the Rhine for a day cruise is, again, only a 15 to 20 minute walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

Hotel is near train station so easily accessible. Only issue, which is typical in Europe, is there is no AC so the windows are open in summer. Since its near the train station it can get noisy, but not enough to not stay. Breakfast was good with enough choices.

Good hotel in Mainz

The bed in my room was very comfortable. The whole room and bathroom were spotless, even if they were a bit small. The hotel does not have air conditioning, which was not a problem on my stay because it was not really hot. The personnel were helpful, polite, and answered all my questions thoroughly. I would stay here again.

Close to train station

The hotel was very clean. Our family stayed in a room with 3 beds. It was very spacious and clean. The elevator was quite small so we had to make several trips since our room was located on the 5th floor. It was a bit loud due to traffic outside and lots of birds. However, I would stay again due to its location and affordable price. The breakfast was very nice and our family enjoyed our stay here.

Solid, unspectacular, decent

I routinely stay in Mainz, but this is the first time I've tried the Schottenhof. It's a perfectly standard German train station-area hotel. The rooms are unexciting (certainly my room didn't look quite as elegant as some of the photographs), but the overall quality is perfectly good. The breakfast spread was reasonable; again, typical of simple German hotels. (There was an odd sign attached to the coffee machine suggesting one had to pay to use it, but I didn't see anyone do so.) The WiFi was outstanding; I had to urgently download some large content, and it zipped right down. This alone makes the hotel stand out as unusual for its genre. Overall, nothing exciting but perfectly serviceable, and a suitable alternative to the other hotels that cluster around the Hbf (main train station). Access to the train station is of course fantastic, which is especially handy for traveling to the airport.

Great place to stay flying in or out of Frankfort.

We had a 36 hour layover at Frankfort and Mainz is a 20 minute easy connection by train and one third the price. The hotel is a two minute walk from the main train station, ten minute walk from the Rhein River and 15 minutes walk from the old center with good restaurants, sights and shopping. Will stay here again the next time we pass through.

NOT a dog-friendly hotel

I have stayed here a few times before while in Mainz for work. However, this time the stay was less than desirable. I called to make sure dogs were allowed and they said it was no problem. However, on the fourth day out of my five days of staying, they complained that they dogs were too loud, had too much hair and threatened to call the police. They had said nothing the previous day's about the dogs at all and gave no explanation of the sudden discussion. They are NOT dog-friendly despite pretending to be. They then informed me that I shouldn't travel with my dogs as if it was their decision. I will never stay here again. If you have dogs, I don't recommend you staying either.

It was okay, however, there was no usable internet, which is more important e.g. breakfast for me as a business traveller. So, you should not advertise this hotel by indicating \"free internet\". It can not be free if there is no internet.

Small, clean and convenient hotel

It's a small, simple hotel, with clean rooms, confortable beds, a good shower and double windows which keep out the street noise. We chose it because of its proximity to the station and trains to the airport (takes 30 minutes) since we had an early flight. The neighborhood is not the nicest but it's not bad and it's walking distance or a short bus ride to the Old Town.

21:30頃の到着でしたが
パスコードを入力してのカードキーの無人受け渡しは最短で良かったです。

またこれも駅前なので仕方ない(クドイ)ですが
部屋は日本の古いapaクラスに狭いです(笑

Wie gewünscht haben wir ein ruhiges Zimmer im Obergeschoss erhalten und konnten auch schon zu 12 Uhr ins Zimmer.
Leider wirkte das Zimmer allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Es war etwas laut, die Wände scheinen \"dünn\"zu sein. Ich habe Dadgeräusche (Toilettenspülung) gehört.
Das Personal war freundlich, das Frühstück in Ordnung und das Zimmer war sauber.
Es liegt gleich am Bahnhof und zur Stadt zu Fuß ca 15min.

Die Zimmer sind immer sauber und gemütlich. Das Personal immer freundlich und der Check-In auch nach 21 Uhr unkompliziert. Man hört nicht viel von außerhalb des Hotels, aber die Zimmer sind innerhalb des Hotels nicht allzu gut schallisoliert. Da kann es schon mal vorkommen, dass man 3 unterschiedliche fremde Wecker hört, sowie Leute im Treppenhaus. Ansonsten eine gute Unterkunft, die ich wieder besuchen werde.

最初の部屋に入った印象が残念だった。

最初に渡されたキーの部屋を開けると驚いたことに掃除されておらず、タオルも散らばった状態でした。写真を撮り受付で説明すると、オーナーらしき女性は大変すまなそうに何度も謝って直ぐに別の部屋を用意してくれました。
同じ部屋の大きさで２階で問題ありませんでしたが、シャワーの扉の密閉状態が悪く、気をつけないと床が水だらけになりました。また、通りに面していたので夜遅くまで騒がしかったです。窓を閉めれば問題ないのですが、空調も扇風機も無いので窓は閉めれませんでした。
朝食は種類は多くありませんが、おいしく頂けました。

Gutes Hotel nahe der Altstadt

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, an einer vielbefahrenen Str. aber im Zimmer konnte man fast nichts vom Verkehrslärm hören, das Zimmer war ziemlich groß und gut ausgestattet, alles sauber, einchecken super schnell, Frühstück gut, alles wie es sein soll.
Der einzige Minuspunkt war das Parken.
Aber sonst kann ich das Hotel getrost weiterempfehlen.

フランクフルト空港から鉄道で30分ほどのマインツ中央駅から徒歩数分、ビジネスにはよい立地。周囲にレストラン、小売店、スーパーもあり便利。かなり古い建物だが、清潔に整備されている。朝食も充実。フロント係の１名があまり愛想良くはなかったが、それほど不快ではない。

一泊するだけの滞在でしたが、まったく問題ありませんでした。
他のレビューで書かれていたような悪い点は見当たりませんでした。
普通に多くを求めなければ値段なりの良いホテルかと思います。駅からすぐ近くなのが一番良いところ。

マインツ中央駅から徒歩数分でアクセスは抜群です。

Wochenend Trip nach Mainz, gerne wieder

In 2 Minuten vom Bahnhof zu erreichen.
Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 1.OG, sehr sauber, wir waren zufrieden.
Frühstück mit Ei, Brot , Brötchen, aufschnitt, Käse, Marmelade, Müsli gute Auswahl.
Personal auch sehr freundlich

Es ist sehr laut vor dem Hotel, also Fenster zu, bei diesen Temperaturen nicht angenehm. Das Personal ist freundlich. Der Aufzug eine Katastroffe. Das Frühstück für den Preis sehr angenehm.
Die im Katalog und auf den Zimmer angepriesene Hausbar gibt es schon lange nicht mehr. Sehr
unangenehm sind die Parkplätze ( Parkuhr bis 20.00 Uhr )

Schönes ruhiges Hotel direkt am Hauptbahnhof

Große saubere Zimmer mit TV und schnellem WLAN. Gutes Frühstück, optimale Lage. Fehlt eigentlich nur noch ein Kühlschrank bzw. eine Minibar. Zu empfehlen
