Had to pay a deposit when checking in which wasnt mentioned anywhere when booking it. Advertised HBO and local channels and management said they didnt offer HBO which was Advertised on the sign next to office. The key to the room didnt work to unlock the door, management had to get another key. Several light bulbs were out, bed only had a blanket, no sheets. Ac vent was broke someone had a bar of soap to hold adjustable vent in place. Had meth addicts in parking lot asking tenants for money. I know this was a cheap motel for the price but at least expected it to be clean, in working order and safe. I would nkt recommend this place to anyone. I will book at another hotel next time.

Good place to stay. The rooms have cable tv, microwave and mini fridge. It's located walking distance to a nice public library, a 24-hour gas station convenience store, India Palace which has a great weekend buffet for $12.99 Fri-Sun, and an excellent sushi place right across the street from the motel. The Battlefield Mall is just down the street, and there's plenty of other shopping and eateries nearby. I have stayed at this motel many times while in the area, and will definitely stay again in the future.

The staff was disrespectful, they didn't communicate with each other and didn't do anything they said they were going to do. The room was also dirty there was food and hair in the fridge, wires hanging out of the wall. And the bathroom shower was leaking in the wall and the floor was falling threw. The place was a dump for real. I have pictures of everything.

I did not stay the night. Upon check-in, it smelled horrible, and there were tons of shady people walking around. The parking lot was in poor condition. The guy told me he wouldn’t charge me because I didn’t even check in. He wanted me to pay him a cash deposit, but I just felt that was awkward when most places take your credit card. I’m thankful he didn’t make me stay and I shouldn’t be charged for this.

Discusting, property dirty and unkept. Molding around the inside of my door was off and still behind the door. Top dresser drawer was missing and all the lights did not work. The portable air conditioner was above the sink and i had to use my shoe to turn it on because i could not reach it. Kept my dirty clothes in bags and tied up and will leave in my garage incase i brought bed bugs home.

Nothing about the place felt safe. I am a mom traveling with my daughter. We got into our room and it looked like the doors had been previously kicked in. There was an attic opening in our room that was busted open. Absolutely did not feel safe. We left immediately.

This place needs to be shut down. We checked in and checked back out right away becuase of the horrible condition of the rooms . They stunk like mold, carpets had wet spots on that smelled like urine. Peoples belongings were still in rooms. Dresser drawer was missing the bottom. Outside you could here people having xxx and being loud,. Heater was so full of rust and dust. Black spots on sheets and pillow. Shady people everywhere. Rented two king bed rooms and only got 1 and the other was a 2 full bed room. This hotel falsely represents itself as its a hotel used for druggies and prostitutes. Stay away from it and the owner will tell you call the booking app to get a refund but then owner will deny the refund. Its an absolutly dump.

This place is horrible! 1st hint should be requiring deposit in cash only. I get to the room. The chemical odor was overpowering. You can tell they tried to clean but just over did it. There was a film over all the surfaces that was oily. The tap would only deliver a trickle of water. No hot water in the shower. There seemed to be a high concentration of drug use. To top it off overnight there was a few instances of popping sounds outside.
The stairs (3-4 wooden) going to the 2nd floor were awkwardly short and uneven.

I was assigned the room, designated non-smoking. When I entered, it reeked of cigarette smoke, and the detector was removed from the wall and atop the curtains above the window. On the dresser were a pizza box, a half-eaten can of Spaghetti-O's, a plastic container with food residue and an unopened can of Milwaukee's Best. The flapper in the toilet tank was defective, as it continue to refill itself with water. Dead bugs were found in the bathtub and sink, and the floor was uneven and creaky. The hatch to the attic was open, so I had to get up to close it to better control the temperature. There was excessive noise from other rooms and outside after hours, and the police and ambulance paid a visit to one of the other rooms prior to my departure. I can only speculate what that was about, but I have a good idea... I very rarely and randomly saw staff at the desk or on the grounds, and would not have felt safe there if I were of the opposite sex and traveling solo.

Back to basics, no frills kinda place,but works

There were business' close by, but we checked in late and out at check out time. No, real time to check out shops. Parking was fine, someone had our parking spot, but someone else probably had theirs.
This is an older property and I assumed privately owned, so there were areas of obvious repairs. As with most of these units at any such motel, the repairman doesn't seem to take much pride in the looks of their work.
This tends to make the rooms less clean looking than they really are. We felt it was clean enough for what it was. We are on a fixed income,so I try to pick the most reasonably priced rooms without getting dumps. I have picked out a few of those in our travels, pictures don't tell the whole truth.
It's a no frills place. If you want the lap of luxury then keep on drivin' and pay out the big bucks! But, if you just need to catch a few Z's and Tv it's fine.

Owners have made an attempt to upgrade, but the building is old. The 2nd level walkway was slanted and the floor in the room was incredibly uneven. The sheets looked and smelled OK, but the place still gave off a No-Tell Motel vibe. The taxi driver also indicated it was a place that many unreputable peole frequented. The bed was actually comfortable, but i wouldn't recommend it unless you have no other ooption.opchoice .

Cleaning lady was a total sweetheart and the gentleman i originally dealt with the night i got there was hellful and took my id instead of a 50 dollar deposit i didnt have, however while the gentleman i dealt w every morning was helpful giving us extra time to checkout and not freaking out about us having 2 friends over almost daily like they do at alot of other places, he did however ask me to not use expedia and just go straight thru him to book and hed charge anywhere from 10 to 20 more than expedia.

We were concerned about the area of town and info from some of the 2022-2024 reviews. But the room was very clean and had everything but a coffee maker (coffee available at the office). Beds were comfortable and even on July 3 became quiet at 10-10:30! Staff in office and maintenance were very personable.

Because I used Expedia, I was not allowed to check in until 4 PM even though there were rooms for occupancy. Eventually, they accommodated me, but not without a hassle. You had to stand on a table in the room to turn on the air conditioner. He made coffee, especially for me at 5:30 in the morning, which was greatly appreciated.

We needed a place to stay in a pinch and picked this one to get thru one night. The front desk manager was very nice and helpful. The rooms were small but fairly clean. There were obvious things on the carpet that showed it either hadnt been vacuumed or they just didnt pick up bottle caps off the floor. There was no bathroom mirror over the sink to do makeup and such things. The beds were pretty comfortable and clean.

Most recent reviews on google were pretty deceiving. The room was not remodeled, the smell of mold/mildew hit us in the face when we walked in, floor was uneven under the old carpet. Bed not comfortable, bathroom had no caulking along the floor and was very dirty. Window a/c in the wall did not work well. Check in was very weird….gentleman wasn’t sure if we had paid or not. This room was definitely not worth the $80. It was a $50 dollar hotel in a “red” crime rate part of town. They had no refunds posted in the office so we knew that would be futile. Just glad we were only staying a few hours before heading to the airport for a flight out. At least there wasn’t bugs that we saw?

Door lock didn't work. Huge gap under the door. Lavatory sink leaked out onto the floor when you used it. Sheet was dirty, had a shoe footprint on it. TV was all unhooked, maintenance man had to come and hook it all up. We wre moved to another room, not any better than the first room we were in. Had some finger smeared blood on a wall. There was no refund allowed. The only positive thing was that the night clerk (maintenance man) was accommodating.

OMG It took the front desk a long time to check us in, then they tell you when you can have guests, when you cant etc, which was fine we were only there to go to a ballgame and get some sleep.

Motel had several broken down vehicles in parking lot, room smelled of mold and was disgusting. We walked in the room, walked out turned our key into the desk and found another hotel.

The refrigerator was not plugged in because there wasn’t an outlet available to plug it into. The TV wouldn’t work. One of the lights by the bed wouldn’t work. We had to call the front desk. It took him about 20 minutes to get there when he said he’d be right there. We were in the room closest to the office. We were kept up half the night by a constant scratching noise. My husband finally got up at 2:30 am and went into the bathroom and hit the ceiling a few times. He could hear a rodent scurry off. Apparently it had a nest there. I would not recommend staying here. When I told the office about this when I checked out, the guy just said, Oh I’m sorry. We will never stay here again.

Nothing to recommend this property. Police at property on both Friday and Saturday nights of my stay. Small parking lot with limited parking. Deep potholes. Dirty rooms with paper towels wadded up and stuck into holes in the walls. Old ice machines and furniture cluttered all of the outside walkways like obstacle course to rooms. Heat/air conditioner high up on wall. Had to climb on furniture to adjust. Filthy stains on all furniture and bedspread. Very disgusting place!

We picked a very busy weekend to go to Springfield so this was mostly our fault. We paid for 2 queen beds but only got 2 double beds. The room was not cleaned from the last person’s stay so we had to wait in our car for our room to be cleaned. The manager had to help clean our room as they were short staffed which we appreciated. He offered to give our money back but there were no other rooms available on short notice at other hotels and this was the only room he had left.

This was a horrid experience. I booked the room, in need, as it is close to Mercy hospital. I paid for the room on Expedia. When I checked in, there were people at the counter pulling cash from their pockets for a room. Combined, they had $70. The man said, in broken English, it’s $140. I was as shocked as them, but I stayed silent. They couldn’t round up enough cash, so they went outside to make phone calls. I had my receipt, with my info, pulled up on my phone. He said to me, “I need $25 cash”. I reiterated that I PAID for my room. He said “You paid Expedia, you didn’t pay me”. I told him I didn’t have cash and I would call Expedia for my money back. I turned to leave because he was CREEPY, and he said “never mind” and gave me a key. As I went out to walk to my room, one of the individuals from earlier followed me to my room, asking me for money. He said “You saw how he treated me”. I explained to him I had no cash and I didn’t want trouble. I was unsure if I should get in my car and leave or go into my room and call 911. I went to my room because that was the most inconspicuous and the door DOES NOT LOCK! The deadbolt does not line up with the hole in the door jam. I sat on the edge of the bed in fear, I waited until it got quiet, then I LEFT! I trust Expedia to advertise for affordable, respectable lodging. This place is scary! I then started reading reviews on other sites about this place. This was NOT an individual experience. In the future, I will be more careful

I wouldn't even send my dead dog here. i got to the hotel at 11 when the lady at the front desk told me to check in was when I had called before I even booked the room she then got a call from the owner I assume telling her since my booking was online that I couldn't check into the room until 230-3 pm so I paid $35 extra to check in early. I get to the room and it smelled of musty mildew and smoke and I had asked for a non-smoking room but it sure didn't smell like it. the bed was so hard and uncomfortable I was probably better off sleeping on the floor or in my car. there were a LOT of undesirable people around there at the hotel I didn't feel safe even with my car being locked and having the security enabled. i went into the bathroom to take a hot shower, I looked into the bathroom vent and there was nothing but black mold in it it was really loud like it was going to fall apart you could tell the wall above the bathroom door right above the tub in room 109 was poorly patched and attempted to be painted over. there was a large roach in the bathroom and the musty/mildew smell was just too much for me to handle. I contacted the front desk and they didn't even offer to switch me to a cleaner room. then I assume the owner came to my room and told me if I didn't like it to leave and I took photos and sent them to the health department and building inspector for the city. save your money and stay somewhere else don't stay here

The original freak desk guy was very helpful. The second shift was extremely rude. I reserved a room and check in was not until 3 pm but I got in at 3:30 am. He attempted to force me out my room during morning check out after I paid an extra $50 to check in early that same morning.

Seems to be a nice hotel when looked at online. However when you check in it it changes. Got the feeling of the hotels you see in the movies.. where the criminals go to hide. Bed was not comfortable at all, like sleeping on a rock, stained comforter, dirty fridge. Door did not want to lock all the way. Not a good place to bring your family, unless you want to stay up and be on guard all night. I personally would pay the extra money and stay somewhere a little more creditable.

Not such a great stay

We never got fresh towels for one. Also I asked for a king size bed room and we got a room with a double instead. When I asked for a room with a king size the guy wouldn’t give it to me. Also there was way too many tweakers and suspicious things going on felt unsafe

Overall a nice stay, peaceful environment, the pool was really fun. My only complaint is that during checkout all the staff took off running out of the main office chasing after someone or something, which I didn't approve of.

It was a non-smoking room, that smelled like someone had chain smoked 24/7 for over a year straight. Took nearly a can of febreeze to be able to stand our stay. Left after one night, due to that and having a vertigo feeling in the shower. The shower walls, the tub all felt like I was going to fall through them.
