CONS--I couldn't lock the room from inside as it didn't work. There was a crossover bar (per usual) at the top for some security. Had 2 queen beds and one of the bedspread had several burn holes in a non smoking room. Whole room smelled damp. PROS--Bathroom was clean, air conditioning worked and could park by the door.

The staff was professional and kind and the beds were comfortable. The building and grounds were old and in need of repair and care. Our room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and the air conditioning unit was noisy. The price was one of the cheapest in the area, so I was thankful for the savings on cost.

Please save your money. This place ught to be condemned. The only good thing about it was the check in, and the gentleman that helped us.
The parking lot is full of feral cats and kittens, that we almost ran over. Cars/ people going in and out of specific rooms staying minutes at a time. Pretty sure there was a stolen car dumped there, too. No license plates, temp tag and the ignition looked broke.
The room smelled musty and a lot like wet, dirty dog. The sheets were stained and had black hair all over them. The toilet rocked and the bathroom smelled like sewer. Better hope you're not taller than 5' or you'll be bending over to get under the showerhead. I'm 5'2 and was too tall for it.
If it weren't for the tornado watch and bad weather we were trying to get out of, I'd have left, even if i lost my money.

The first room we got was clearly occupied (TV on, bed unmade, and luggage on the bed). The second room we got was unoccupied but had crumbs on the floor, burn holes on the bedspreads, and a used coffee filter in the coffee maker. Finding another place was not an option. But the breakfast was decent (eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy), and the staff was extremely pleasant, especially Greyson.

Beware!! This location looks NOTHING like the photos. Absolutely NOT a family friendly place. The room was disgusting, visible dirt and debris all over the floor. Chair and bed linens stained with cigarette burns. Room smelled like body odor and stale ashtrays. It was suppose to be a nonsmoking room as well.
I do not recommend this place even if you had no where else to stay. Sleeping in your vehicle is a better option.

We only stayed one night here since I was just staying to rest and leave early in the am. I did request non smoking room and upon entering our room I immediately smelled smoke. Not sure if it was from the people staying next door or from the previous tenants.
Another thing I noticed when unloading my luggage was what seemed like two people arguing in the room next to us and being kind of loud. It was late and I was worried it was going to go on all night.
The room is not modern like your usual hotels but like I said it was only to rest. I don't think there was a pool but if there were I didn't think it would clean to get in. Some of the rooms we noticed when going up to ours had decorations and plants on the window sill making it seem they are staying there for a while. This lead me to believe this hotel is being used as shelter program for local residents.
Other than that the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Dated hotels are ok with me, but bugs amd hair all over are not. The manager was nice enough amd we will be receiving a refund so no major complaint there. Its just a shame that we have to worry about bed bugs and uncleanliness so much when booking in advance and online.

Room was clean. The AC heat unit was broke. You could not see what temperature or what fan speed or options you had on it so it got very warm in there. Trying to turn it down shut it off. Had to have help getting into the front door because it would not open without assistance. Parking was OK however it did not seem safe with the type of vehicles in the parking lot from locals staying at the hotel. The breakfast area seemed to have a lot of questionable people coming in and filling bags with food. It was like they were getting food for the day.

Friendly staff but this facility in complete need of a remodel. Room is in terrible condition but it does seem like staff did put effort into putting lipstick on a pig. Very funky odor from headboard. Ended up just checking out and driving into the night. If your desperate, sleep in your car instead.

The hotel room had missing plaster and a chip/crack in the toilet seat. I will say it was clean but had a few homeless people hanging out in the parking lot. We asked for a room on the other side of the hotel but couldn’t be accommodated based on our type of booking. It was incredibly loud with street noise and the person staying next to me kept going outside to smoke weed. I was just left with a very unsafe feeling but everything worked out OK.
Staff was nice but this place has seen better days for sure. When you look at pictures on Expedia, Econolodge only had one pic of the room and the others were of the lobby. It was just overall dirty and I will never stay there again. There’s better options on Kearney St. on either side of the road. Don’t waste your time and money with EconoLodge in Springfield, MO.

The room had ants, dirty floors, fridge was frozen with ice-nowhere to put food, lamps didn't work, bed mattresses were way past date of replacement. The pool I would consider to be a childs pool. Not big enough to really swim in. Only thing that was acceptable was the breakfast. The food was good, nice variety, the host kept up with replacing all items as they were depleted and nice southern hospitality.

Once arriving to the property I was met with a rather rude individual behind the front desk. After finally getting checked in and getting to the room we were greeted by some tiny visitors. Our room was covered in ants and spiders, not only were we not alone on our vacation but the stains from the last guest were left on the bed for us to enjoy. The bed was uncomfortable and rock solid. The only decent thing about this property was the scary gas station next door and the random people walking about gave some great entertainment. In all I would say sleeping in your car on the side of a busy highway during a high speed chase that never ends would be a better choice than this property.

The main downfall for me was the ants that were in my drink in the morning. I always keep a drink at bedside and this morning, after taking a drink in the dark, i found at least a few hundred ants in my drink. I was gagging.
Otherwise a nice place and would probably stay again. Watching for ants of course.

When I arrived I was told that the refrigerator didn’t work in the room and that they were full up. The room stinks and the carpets were nasty and the tile floors were so tacky that I had to wash my feet before putting my shoes on. The steps going upstairs are absolutely falling apart from the main floor. My husband said that it’s going to break.

If I could give it zero stars I would.

We stayed a whole whopping 5 minutes because my daughter opened a draw and found a cockroach when she backed up she slipped on something near the edge of one bed. Went to investigate and found a used geekbar on the floor. How did a lime green thing get missed in cleaning? Immediately left, no way we are coming anywhere near that place ever again!

Very dirty. Stained sheets and comforter. There was a used bandaid in the bathroom floor. Ants on the vanity counter and the place was horribly run down. If we had not been so exhausted i would have not stayed there.

The hotel met my expectations. Bed was comfortable for a one night stay on business and I would stay there again. ***However*** I was disgruntled with a group of 3 very rude men and the breakfast staff. I was trying to sit and visit with an Air Force Veteran over breakfast. The 3 men and the staff were loud and just got louder and louder like they were sitting at a bar on a Friday Night while drinking and playing pool. Obviously they either all worked together at the hotel or they just frequented the place often. Either way, it was disrespectful.

This was such a speacial trip. Neko, you are an amazing individual. My boyfriend I celebrated Valentines Day late. Neko set up the room Valentines themed with roses, rose petals, chocolate, a teddy bear and a bouquet of balloons!!! It was sweet and so very speacil. This is why we always stay here when we need to get away from our day to day. Neko and staff, you are the best. 10 🌟 🌟

May not be family friendly.

This hotel has a lot of truck drivers. Some of them idle their truck all night and that can be noisy. You may have to wait for the pool ,they had guest sneak in from the hotel next to them and had it packed until a staff figured it out or a guest complained. Bomb squad had to come,some kind of threat was made from the last building so they all evacuated up to ours and sat in the sun forever. Keep an eye out for used needles. Enjoy your stay !

Econolodge is the only place I will stay in springfield. Neko in guest services knows how to treat the guests. Ac is on in the room. Its the attention to details and the pleasant visit that does it for me everytime. Down to the GM Tiffanie, everyone is accomadating, friendly, and efficient. And a 6 coarse breakfast is a bonus!!!

If there was a 10star status they would get 100. Shout out to my favorite guest service Neko. He always lays out the blue carpet for me, and genuinely cares about the gueats.

I had a Dr apt why i needed a room closer to my Dr. Nikko, the gentleman that chwcked me in, even asked thw next day how it went. I even lwft him a tip because you dont get top of the line service like that anymore. The breakfast was plentiful and good. 10 star rating if I could.

When we first entered the room, there was a big spider on the wall above the bed. The bed sheets had marks on them and appeared to be dirty. Looked as if they just remade the bed after the last person stayed in the room. The floor hadn't been vacuumed. There was 3 piles of cigarette ashes on the floor. There was 2 of the lamps that were unplugged. I had to pull out the furniture to get to the plug ins. The coffee pot had a layer of dust on it so I didn't use it. The furniture in the room was very outdated and looked as if it was from the 70's. Most of it had something broke on it. The toilet seat had spots on it where the lamination was peeling off and it poked you when you sat on it. There was a ton of beer bottle tops, bottles and cans and other trash covering all the landscaping around the room and property. They had a small breakfast buffet in the morning. There was very little eggs in the container and the eggs that were there had been sitting there so long that they were sitting in a puddle of water because of the condensation. The potatoes tasted as if they were microwaved and were still cold in the middle. The coffee was so cold that my cream and sugar wouldn't dissolve. The only soda vending machine that we could find had a note flashing on it \"All sold out.\" There is a lot more, but I think I have said enough. I would have expected most of this out of a $50 - $60 dollar room but I payed almost $90 dollars for this room so I wouldn't recommend it.
