This hotel is not ADA compliant in the rooms. After having to shuffle between rooms to find one a wheelchair wound even fit through the bathroom door, we were upgraded to a queen suite. While the bathroom was ADA bar equiped for toilet and bath, the bed was roo high to get the disabled person onto it, so they had to sleep on the loveseat We cut our stay short and left.

The stay was perfect, incredibly convenient for my outpatient surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center.A staff member pushed me in a hotel wheelchair through an interior elevator all the way to my hospital check in station, avoiding the rain & snow outside, Thank you so much.

We stay at the Inn whenever we have appointments at Virginia Mason Hospital. Very convenient, friendly staff, clean but old with character. There are a variety of cafes and eateries within walking distance.

Nice staff, clean spacious room. A little noisy but being attached to a hospital you have to expect some ambulance sounds at times but not too bad. Stayed on the 4th floor. The downstairs restaurant is cosy and friendly.

The staff is very helpful. Dominic and Keegan are gems. The rooms are clean. The cafe is small but good. The cafe/bar staff are friendly and great at making guests feel welcome. Very convenient to access Virginia Mason hospital. There is an elevator that connects the two.

The entire sidewalk where the main entrance is fenced off. The sign on the west/downhill side says ‘sidewalk closed’. The east/uphill side says ‘sidewalk closed’. On the street directly in from of the Inn says ‘New entrance to the left of the ER’. To the left of the ER? YOU know where that is but I just arrived.

The hotel management doesn’t seem to be very bright and/or capable of understanding the customer service issues this (temp) situ creates. Although desk staff was very sympathetic. This isn’t a typical inn. This is where family members of people under VM care who may have very serious health issues come to be with and assist their loved ones. Given that, this Inn check in experience is not in the slightest way acceptable. If you are in a service role, then serve. Otherwise, find another job. And next time, I’ll find another hotel.

This was our third time staying here during a family member surgery at the hospital. It's really convenient that it's attached to the hospital and you can access it from the hotel. Be mindful you can only access the hospital from inside the hotel during the week day and before 6pm, but access to the hotel from inside the hospital is 24/7. Other wise use the ER to gain entrance.
During this visit, the front entry was closed off, so entry is from an obscure side door. Kind of inconvenient.
Also, from our room on the 4th floor there was no wifi access, so if you hope to get some work done while here, use your own hotspot. The gentleman at the front desk wasn't helpful with that issue. He just said, \"the wifi isn't good here. You can go to the hospital and use their wifi if needed. \" being that it's 2025 and the age of AI and robotics, that's a pretty lame thing not to have wifi for your guests.
This is a very old building that has had some upgrades but could really shine if proper money was put into remodeling the rooms.
However, the beds are extremely comfortable! You will sleep well a long as not too many ambulances drive by full sirens.
All that to stay, even with some negatives it is very convenient and a pleasant stay. We keep coming back for the easy and convenient access to the hospital.

The main engrance being unavailable due to construction proved a repeated inconvdnience. Also, the room not having A/C was inexpected.

Overall, the staff was courteous and efficient, however having to snake my way througj hospital entrances (closed on weekends) proved a factor of dissatisfaction.

Disappointed & Not Worth It

Could not find the front door (uber eats could not find it either). No one answered the phone when I tried to call to find the front door. At check in he said I had to do a required deposit, unknown what that amount was but I was charged $121 for someone else's bill. Had to call several days later to get it refunded back to my card. Said the cafe would be open on Sunday morning for food and it was not. Had a hard time getting the tv off of the settings mode, bathtub needs safety pads, my husband almost fell cause the tub got soapy and slick and the bottom of the tub is not flat it is rounded. Said check out was at 12pm and housekeeping knocked before that. Room lighting was very dim. It was not worth the price I paid just to stay to visit my brother in the hospital next door. Probably will not stay here again. I understand this hotel is old, but the tub safety should be a priority as the side of tub is a good 12+\" to lift your legs over to get in.

Room was needing update. Bath was old & the fixtures very dated. The room is good sized & functional.
It does appear that some of the rooms had been updated but I got one of the older ones. Parking is a short distance away, be prepared to lug your bags to check in/out as construction fences block the entrance.

The check in process was terrible. We booked a room with two Queens. After waiting for 45 mins we ere told they overbooked and we were told we had a room with one queen bed and they would bring in a roller foldout bed. NOT GOOD! They did advise we would be compensated for the mix up. They were good for that.

They say no AC but what they mean is the heater is running and you can’t control it. It was 55° outside and 80° in the room. We opened windows and after 45 minutes nothing had changed. We had to leave and get another room

Staff were great. The room was outdated but it was ok for one night stay. No AC made it a little warmer than I would like but they do have two box fans that if you put in the window bring in some cool air. My biggest complaint would have to be the parking. Absolutely none available but if you are using Uber then no problem. Overall it was a cute hotel with friendly staff. Great bartender.

The location of the hotel was near attractions but the condition of it did not look like the photos provided. Staff were helpful and respectful. I found it inconvenient that closest parking was down a hill. Their seemed to be a lack of a secure space due to anyone being able to enter through the side of the hotel freely. The front entrance was gated off.

When we arrived at night, the front of the hotel was completely closed off and fenced, making it very difficult to find the entrance. We eventually had to go through the hospital emergency area just to get inside. Once there, the vending machines were out of order and not even water was available, so we had to order Uber Eats. The room itself was uncomfortable—the temperature was terrible, the bathroom door didn’t close, and the shower head sprayed water everywhere. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Front entrance was fenced off with no signage as to where the temporary entrance was. I thought they had closed down. Check in was quick, but we were given no information about anything from the front desk attendant. I needed to get my room key programmed a total of 3 times, but needed to go to the front desk a couple extra times to address it. We requested 3 separate times for our room to be serviced with housekeeping showing up not even once to service the room. I was later told they service the rooms every 3 days; it did NOT happen. The AC either doesn't exist or did not work. The room lighting needs to be improved as it's dark when sitting at the little table in the room. The door separating the room from the next allows a lot of noise to flow through. The tub drain was clogged. The bathroom window was missing its screen. As for the immediate area surrounding the hotel; we were violently yelled at several times by homeless individuals. One of which got very close to becoming physical. I'd recommend staying here at your own risk.

My fully paid reservation of over a month had been given to an earlier check in with a similar last name. The staff was not on the same page how to handle this delima. I was finally moved to the adjoining hotel across the street.
However, after being granted a late check out, my key card could not access entrance to the hotel or my room.
The room was clean, but out dated and over priced.

My partner and me only stayed one night so we did not get to enjoyed the place too much. The inside of the property was very cozy it has a nice lounge area, a bar-cafeteria, a nice patio area to sit beside the bar. Our room was big and clean. Since the place is under construction it was surrounded by a link fence and the entrance was not clearly shown. I did not mind that there wasn't air condition in the room since we were provided with fans but my partner was not too happy.

The shower drain backed up and the tub was in need of new finish. The sink had no drain cover. The walls were pitted. Pretty sure we got lead poisoning! The heater controller wasn’t even covered and looks like a mess. We got two old box fans. The windows were nailed closed. The only towel bar was coming out of the wall and so was the shelf over the sink. They were exposed pipes and not in a charming way.
This old hotel was part of the hospital and our view was into sick people‘s rooms. It smelled bad. The refrigerator barely kept my water cold.
I would never stay here. The place across the street,The Sorrento was beautiful and it was cheaper and I’m really sorry I didn’t know that beforehand. We couldn’t even go in the front door because it was closed and we had to figure out how to go through the hospital to get to this hotel. It was ugly and old and I would never stay there on purpose if I knew what it was like.

Great little stayover when you have a loved one at the attached hospital.
It is well worn, but everything worked and was comfortable.
There is no air-conditioning, but that is hardly ever an issue in the northwest.
The restaurant in the lobby has a modest menu, but excellent food!
All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The property was shut off from the street. Not really their fault but some larger signs on the fence pointing to the temporary entrance would go a long way.
There was also a constant, loud hum even when the windows were closed.
The front staff was fine, cordial but not super friendly. Overall the stay was ... A stay. Nothing special, super mediocre and a rather bad price/value ratio.

The room originally received did not have AC. I ask for another room which the conceirge accompanied. The 2nd room was filled with paint carts and ladders. 3rd room had leak in bathroom and mold on the piping by the window.

The entire front of the hotel was fenced off and we had to enter through the service entrance the entire time we were there. The entrance had been damaged months before but had not been repaired. If we had known that we would have looked for another property.

It was really hard to get into the hotel because there’s a gate around it. It’s old and you’re in between a hospital which makes a fan noise 24 seven,so if you like a constant buzz, it’s fine if you sleep with your plugs, it’s not. I booked it because they had a beautiful balcony and I yet to seen it on the property.

Front door entrance was blocked off and there was no signage telling you where to enter. When located, it was a side door, off an alley, that was propped open 24 hours. No air conditioning (which was stated in the confirmation email). One window didn’t open, other only opened 3”. Fans were provided.
