The only thing that worked was the heater...until it didn’t. The absolute freezing temperature in the meat locker, I mean, bathroom caused me to check out a day esrly. This was after a breaker immediately popped when the provided coffee maker was turned on. The power was restored but then the refrigerator was left unplugged by the staff and defrosted on the floor. The refridger outlet made popping sounds all night.

Having a staff-free place to stay ended up being pretty frustrating. Parking was confusing, the neighborhood was not as clean and inviting as you would think. The rooms are definitely not as nice as the pictures. The first room we got wasn't what we reserved, and there was no door for the bathroom, just a sheer curtain. I had some issues with my card and needed to change it and I couldn't get a hold of anybody before check in. So keep in mind that if you need anything ahead of time or have questions you won't get any response until after 3:00 p.m. The day you check in. This this just wasn't very pleasant place to stay.

I know people are picky about beds, but the bed situation here was something else entirely. Marshmallow-soft, extremely sinky, to the point where it was hard to move around and even sit up. And I'm a lightweight! The foam basically cocoons you.

Well, using the hotel's app to get entry without a live person sounded nice in a techy way. Unfortunately the app sucked, it just didn't work, got \"error\" msgs with multiple attempts while fumbling in the cold outside the placeat night. Also, no live person to answer phone call, must text and wait fora return call. Ended up prying a physical keycard out of a coded lockbox on the door to get into the place. Room #203 w king bed was basic and fine, some long brown hair on bathroom counter but otherwise not too worn down, fairly clean. Sleep interrupted by loud thumping bass guitar riffs played repetitively from 10pm until past1am, impossible to sleep. If the app had worked as promised and there was no loud noise at night, place woulda been fine for the price. But, as it was, it was a disappointing experience.

The whole process was really not good. The instructions for checking in and getting a key was lacking, leaving us rather stranded in front waiting for some level of communication. The pre-call was both inconvenient (customer service at the convenience of the company, not the customer) and problematic (call was dropped 4 times, eventually they gave up on providing any instructions).
The bed had someone's hair in it, it looked like it had been slept in, only straightened, not well made. The coffee machine in the room was broken and dirty from previous guests also seemingly trying to make it work.

We made 2 bookings at the Art Inn, from Oct. 12 to 13 for 2
persons and parking, and from Oct. 13 to 14 for 1 person, no parking.
We arrived at the Art Inn on Oct. 12 around 5pm, at that time the
outside temperature was 54 degrees. Entering the room it turned out
that it was not heated. (Heat and Air-Conditioning was supposedly
provided by an old-fashioned wall unit.) We tried for a while to turn
on the heat, following the posted instructions, but failed.
Eventually we contacted the management who told us to do what we had
already done repeatedly. We tried for another hour to get the heat
working but failed. During the exchanges we also found out a weird
feature of their heating system: \"Our AC system is interconnected so
all machines in the building need to be on the same setting\" and
\"Someone in another room changed the setting\"... How can that be ?
Eventually, around 6:30 pm, we decided to leave. Only then a different
room was offered but there was no indication if the heat in this room
was working and/or if it had the same weird feature. So we left around
6:40 pm after another failed attempt to get the heat to work.
The management offered refund for the first but not the second night.
We feel that it is the responsibility of the hotel to make sure
that a room is in order BEFORE a guest arrives. The ART INN has
definitely failed in this aspect.
Demanding a refund for the second day is the least we can ask for as a
compensation for the waste of time, freezing, an

It’s ok. The room itself was reasonably clean, though the smell of bleach was so strong when I first came in I had to open windows wide for a hot minute. The app-driven door locks were frustrating at first but I got the hang of it. There doesn’t seem to be any staff, so thankfully I never let my phone charge run out completely. The parking area is terrible. Broken vehicle glass in the parking spot, and the alley it’s in is mostly impassable without off-road capable vehicle. On the other hand the location is convenient.

This is a very hard place to stay. It’s not what you envision hard to contact staff as it is keyless. Which is another point the keyless entry wouldn’t work. Had to try and contact which was frustrating. The tv only works with wif and that was out. The bed was lumpy no room for your luggage.

This moldy Airbnb was deceptively classified as a 3 star hotel. Sadly, we paid a huge price for a sham. I can’t unsmell the smell of the rooms -old mold. Moreover, the sheets appeared lightly used and fluffed for the next victim/guest.I itched like hell each night.And oh,the bugs and the giant mosquitoes in the claustrophobic basement. Due to the dinginess of the whole place we intentionally stayed out till very late to limit our exposure to the whole junk. I have never in my life spent a night in a hotel worse than this and I mostly use 3 or 4 star hotel.We were duped.This is morally wrong. This place is a joke . They used the Art picture to create a deceptive image. Unfortunately, they are able to get away with this crime because most victims have paid and can’t get their money back.The Art Inn of Seattle needs public health inspection.It is unfair. I am a healthcare professional and was tempted to call and report immediately. Exposing visitors to mold is evil.
Expedia and other sites must remove them from their list until they address these issues which looks chronic because the rooms reeks the smell. Please covering evil with while comforters and art pictures does not make evil go away. This needs to be checked and addressed. We were seriously traumatized and dreaded every of our 3 nights there.

The room was good and the small day bed in room 103 was super comfy. The keyless entry was really horrible though and a pain to deal with. Also, it would be nice to receive check in instructions and car/parking information the day before check in. Cars needed to be 18' or less and I brought my truck. Luckily I got it into the spot without blocking the alley but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Unfortunately I was not able to access my room in a timely manner, my party and I found a hotel elsewhere due to the uncertainty we faced. I was unable to access my room upon arrival and for quite a while afterwards. I did not receive communication via text when I was in contact with the phone number provided and did not receive an email back in that time. My call logs do not reflect an attempt to get into contact with me despite my attempts to reach out. Due to the significant inconvenience we faced I tried to contact the owner to ask for a refund for the troubles we experienced but two days later I have not heard from them. Would not recommend this property due to the uncertain we faced and difficulty with communication.

This property was a hidden gem. I needed to stay close to Swedish Hospital and the location was perfect. Walkable area with plenty of restaurants. For the price, you have a very safe and clean place to stay. Loved the charm and artwork .

I checked the sheets and blanket to see if the odor was coming from there, and it wasn't. But there were long hairs of different colors all over the blanket, which made me think how many people has used this blanket before it was washed

The small space was nice but there were a lot of misses. It was freezing, and even with the heater cranked up to 83 it still felt extremely cold. The bathroom has no door, just an old curtain. The bathroom FLOORS were absolutely miserable to walk on as they felt like solid ice even with socks. The towels were tiny, and the towel warmer barely worked. Having a large looking bed that is just two smaller beds pushed together really made for an uncomfortable sleep. The neighborhood seemed alright but with the street parking in view of the hotel, my car was broken into for the first time in my many Seattle stays. All for a small blanket. The establishment has NO cameras. As close as it is the the hospital I needed to visit, I will never stay here again.

It is a single house converted to small hotel. No staff. Everything is very old but clean. Only a window AC unit for heating and works very slow. You need to figure out how to use it. It shuts off during the day and your room temperature is 56F when you are back at evening. It is very uncomfortable in Seattle wet, windy and cold later fall.

Very seductive little house, with a perfect little porch, my groundfloor room impeccable. Restaurant opposite perfect for breakfast if you like loud grunge music, and others nearby for later drinks and meals. On the other hand, a bit noisy due to fair amount of traffic and airplanes flying overhead.

This cute, adapted vintage house was a great homebase for our Seattle adventure. The convenient location made a walking, scooter-riding lifestyle possible, and the cafe across the street had excellent food, coffee and bicycles! We enjoyed our stay but the bedding could have been of a higher quality for athlectic sleeping and the excess shelving left us feeling amused... Overall a great budget pick.

Staff were very helpful with the lock box code as we could not get room access via our phone. Bathroom was very clean and amongst the best of our trip to date. Room had everything we needed but bed was very soft and pillows too high. Also very noisy in room 101 as we listened to everyone arriving throughout the night until the early AM.

The room I stayed in was a bit odd with a daybed in the entry room and three different steps up to the adjacent bedroom, which needed to be navigated at night to use the restroom which was on the opposite side of the entry. Also, there were three sets of portable earplugs on the table upon entering. The building is adjacent to a street that gets early morning noise around 5:00 and is also on the flyout route from SEATAC. I was awakened by noise all three nights I stayed there: Friday through Sunday.
Getting entry to the room required multiple emails and downloading an app and getting multiple texts with codes. Quite a bit of cellphone effort for one short stay. The only upside was included off-street parking in non-secured stalls behind the building.

This hotel is basically 2 side by side houses converted to hotel rooms. Room and bathroom were clean but it’s across the street from a live music bar that goes until 2 am (on a Saturday night at least). Maybe the rooms in the back of the house weren’t so noisy but mine was (they do realize this is an issue since they provide ear plugs for the room). If you sleep heavily or plan on staying out late then maybe this won’t be an issue for you. I mean they can’t change the location of their inn so I don’t blame them for this but you should be aware of it.
And hey I appreciate them putting some effort into branding it as the “Art” inn by putting up some wallpaper with graphics and some Eat. Pray. Love. Knick knacks (for instance a “Positive attracts Positive” poster).

It worked for what I needed... A place to sleep, shower, and store my belongings. It is definitely more a BnB without an on-site concierge than a hotel. However, the contact number was very responsive when needed and walked me through check-in. They also were kind enough to store my luggage after check-out for a few hours.
