I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, and the building was quiet, which made it easy to relax and get a good night’s rest. I’ve stayed here before and continue to have a positive experience each time. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice and clean private room. Some minor issues, and this is a Keurig thing, but the coffee pot in the room and in the main living area need \"descaling\" and didn't work well. I also had to dump the main kitchen garbage even after the cleaning people came. Great location, but I was warned in advance about the off-street parking; drove around one time for 45 minutes to find a parking spot two blocks away.

Lovely stay, clean room and the other guests were very respectful. Having laundry and kitchen access in the building was very useful and glad we had those amenities for our trip. Only issue was the WiFi was slow at times, but we were out so much it didn’t really affect us all that much.

The check-in process was easy and straightforward. The room and public spaces were clean and well maintained. I didn't use the kitchen but noticed it seemed well equipped. There are plenty of options within walking distance for dining and coffee. Public transportation stops are close by and the neighborhood certainly felt safe to me.

This place was exactly what I needed. I didn’t drive but street parking available. Lots of public transportation available a block away. Felt safe walking around the neighborhood. Communication was easy and replies were almost instant! They were able to accommodate a last minute late-check out request which was amazing. The place it sent was clean and very well appointed. The room was exactly as described and the bed was super comfy. The whole place was quiet at night and even with the shared kitchen area it felt very private. The room comes with a little fridge and and a microwave and a full kitchen is available as well as plates and utensils etc. there’s also laundry available which is so helpful if you’re planning a longer stay. Definitely will return!

Private bath and came with a fridge . BUT IT. HAD An ANT INFESTATION PROBLEM. I wasn't offered a credit or a refund or any accommadation. I had to go buy ant killer myself. When I mentioned it they said just keep them aprised ... Wow no detail or descriptiov n of your unit online, listed or named the catch that there are kitchen ants that will swarm your living area, and that if you want it gone I'll need l to take care of it myself . Wish I had known that was an addon feature to the property .. since the owner ,when I mentioned it to him and communicated to him that there was an problem brush it off like oh yeah you knew and it was no big deal just deal with it and let me know how it progresses yeah that tells me that he knew about it and could care less that it affects this day that's probably why he didn't offer to accommodate or compensate for the disgusting inconvenience. I would like to have moved into another unit one that didn't have such a problem that would have been great or at least compensated for the days that I stayed there because realistically it was unhealthy it was gross I couldn't sleep , and not without fear of being instantly covered with them. . I mean, who really (ean really she wants to sleep like that ?

I left my dogs food out,, to feed him , you know... and 5 mins later it was swarming with ants and therefore the floor was too. My cereal was left out and soon covered in. Ants . (In the bag )

A nice, cozy space. Some deferred maintenance is apparent, but nothing that interferes with use.

Don't expect to check in like a hotel, pay attention to the emails and take care of it before you arrive. But with that third-party checkin out of the way, the host is responsive and communicates proactively.

The only practical parking is on the street which can be an issue.

Wonderful common area, clean and well appointed. Unfortunately the house rules prevented its use after 22:00.

It was a $76 taxi ride to the property

Communication with the owner was excellent

Room was small and the A/C noisy. Nice large wardrobe whose door was off the the track but no safe. No chair in the room, just a small stool.

Good small fridge with freezer section. Also in the room was a coffee maker and coffee, just as well as the one in the kitchen did not work - just flashed descale messsge.

We noticed that when the room coffee maker was used the light in the room dropped in intensity. Clearly a voltage drop indicative of a wiring problem.

The bed had a very soft mattress and was slanted due to the feet being on a carpet. The slanted was noticeable when lying in bed.

There is no elevator, so getting the suitcases upstairs was a challenge, especially at my age. Thank goodness we were not on the top floor.

Access to the property and room was via a key pad. It worked well.

There was a hidden fee of $45 that appeared a few days before our booking. A disagreeable surprise.

The promised internet was not there initially.

There was a broken light bulb in the bathroom.

We had quite a few small ants in our room, mainly around the rubbish bin.

The sound on the TV in the common are is limited to 18 so any outside road noise obscures the soundtrack.

We had asked for a later check out time (it was 10:00) but it did not work out

Our stay at the Sweet Suites was very nice and convenient for us. The room was big enough for two people with a decent bathroom. You can borrow dishes from the kitchen and return them later. It was nice to have a kitchen nearby although we didn’t use it. The owner is super responsive.

Property is in a nice, safe area. We were able to walk to the Wharf and downtown in 25 minutes. The house is noisy at night as people in other rooms sit central common area sometimes until 12:30AM gabbing making it difficukt to sleep. Electricity is a problem when it is hot. There are portable room air conditioner ls, but, if several people are using them, the draw blows out a circuit breaker..

I did not realize it was a communal house because it was not clear on the ad. It’s a house with bedrooms you are sharing with 8 guest rooms. The ad says it’s an 8 unit place, I thought it was an apartment style building/units that all had their own kitchens. The kitchen is shared for everyone and not private. One thing I would recommend to the hosts is to have that more clearly stated.

Pros:
-area is safe location
-there is no on site parking but we easily found street parking a block over
-the private bedroom and bathrooms were very clean
-a/c works well
-wifi works
-bed was very comfy
-mini fridge in room and coffee maker
-check in instructions very clear/hosts easy to communicate with
-The kitchen was nice to have and convenient.

Cons:
-the ad should more clearly state it is a big house with private bedrooms you are sharing with people. It needs to be more clear
-we were in unit 1 and the freezer part of the mini fridge was not functional as it was frozen over
-we did not have hot water for our showers in the mornings. Hosts, I would consider looking into this as it’s mentioned in several reviews
-I would recommend to the hosts to have spray cleaner available for guests in the kitchen
-mini fridge freezer solid ice and not useable
-parking may be an issue for some if you cannot carry luggage or walk a block or two.

Overall, we had a really good stay and I would recommend it. I would also stay here again. I found it to be very clean and comfortable for the rooms.

I had a few questions and requests and the owner was very accommodating and responsive. It's one of the best qualities any owner/manager can have (communication skills). The room is small, but was perfect for my needs. The area is quiet and the property is kept very clean. We did not need to use the kitchen area, but it's very convenient if you want to prepare your own meals. I would definitely stay here again. 5 stars.

\nDisappointing Stay — Not Cruise-Friendly

We booked this place for a one-night stay after disembarking from a cruise, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. The listing was unclear—it turned out to be a *room in a shared house*, not a private apartment. That should’ve been made much more obvious.

We reached out a week before our arrival requesting early check-in, but were told we’d have to wait until the day of to know the cleaner’s schedule. No early check-in was offered, so we were left in limbo with five oversized suitcases. To make matters worse, the address was sent at the last possible moment, after multiple emails and delays over credit card and ID verification.

Once we arrived, we were shocked to find 18–19 stairs leading to the entry. This wasn’t disclosed anywhere, and would be a major issue for anyone with mobility concerns, or those traveling with large luggage (like most cruise passengers!).

The room itself was nicely decorated and clean, which we appreciated—but the amenities were minimal. For the price we paid (comparable to many full-service Seattle hotels), we expected more than just a bed and a strict set of house rules, including a 10pm cutoff for kitchen access. That’s not ideal if you’re arriving late or need to prepare something before bed.

In short: if you’re coming from a cruise, traveling with luggage, or need flexibility and comfort

Like a hostel for adults. Everybody had their own space, but with a common area for cooking & hanging out, if one chose to, in the morning with coffee, and in the early evening. Easy walk to the Peloton Cafe for coffee and great breakfast. One afternoon we took our leftover pizza from the evening before to a picnic table at the little park right next door.

Clear quiet hours keep this a relaxing place to be, where everyone respected one another’s space and time.

Opening both windows in our room made the room temperature comfortable for sleeping. It was an early summer hot spell in the city with beautiful blue skies while we were there. We were just too tired the first night to figure it out, and the cooling unit in the room was a little too loud for our tastes, but others might be just fine with it. Definitely not a deal breaker.

Super easy parking, considering it’s Capitol Hill!

Very clean and pleasant accommodations as described in the promotions. The owner also responded quickly to messages, though we never met in person.

I would recommend the location with one caveat: be prepared for a somewhat cumbersome registration process, with a $200 security deposit. Keyless entry also was confusing at first, but worked great once figured out.

My first time in Seattle, I did not have a vehicle, so I walked or Ubered everywhere, which was a hilly two miles to the downtown. The location was quiet, secure and comfortable, but I was disappointed to not find much to do in the immediate surroundings (near office buildings and a hospital).

The bed and suite itself was very comfortable and spacious, with it's own heating and AC. The smell of Fabuloso was overwhelming when I arrived, but opening the windows remedied it. Shower/tub was great with incredibly hot water, but required care to not get scalded.

I didnt utilize the large, modern kitchen and common area living room space, but it looked inviting and would have been nice for someone traveling with a companion to cook together. I did use the free, modern washer and dryer, which I really appreciated.

My suite was considered first floor, but that meant a long staircase, fine for me but might not be for someone else. Also by the time I received and read the house rules, it was too late for me to bring the roku stick I needed for TV.

I overheard yet never saw anyone else during my 6 days there.

Great location, but near a relatively busy road and can get a bit loud, notably in the morning. Ear plugs are available in the bathroom, I regrettably did not use them. Parking options are limited, as well, only street available and it is in a neighborhood requiring a permit during daytime, so it may take time to find a spot. Otherwise, despite the shared living room and kitchen, your room will provide plenty of privacy with its own bathroom. Again, great location, walkable to just about everything in Capital Hill.

Very disappointed with our one night stay. Entrance was not lit or dimly lighted making it difficult to locate the correct unit in the dark.
There is only one coffee mug in the room for both of us.
In the morning, after one of us taking the shower, the second person has no hot water left and people we met in the building had the same problem with hot water.
Just imagine when you need a shower in the morning before heading out and found that the water is Freezing cold !!!!

PIcked this place to stay due to the close proximity to Swedish Hospital. This rental is literally across the street.
Good things: room was clean, had its own bathroom, plenty of closet space and very comfortable pillows. The host Vince, was always quick to respond with any questions or concerns and they provided ear plugs (which were needed).
Not so good things: that immediately upon entering the building you have to drag your luggage up 14 steep stairs before coming to the first set of rooms. If you have any medical issues this is challenging. Then there is the location, being next to the hospital is both good and bad because the there are sirens all day and night. Also, pretty sure we heard a shooting occur right outside as one of the crazies or tweekers had a very loud and colorful argument in the wee hours of the morning followed by two loud bangs??
The walls are paper thin throughout so whatever the tenants above us were talking about until 3am we heard every word! Next one was the biggest drawback, the apartment is located directly under the landing flight path for every airplane landing at SeaTac. I timed these landings and from about 5:30 am until about 10:30 pm the planes were landing at an average rate of 30 to 45 secs. Finally, I would have left a 5 star rating until I got charged for dropping a topping off my pizza onto the white duvet cover and they said they had to replace the duvet for $27. HINT: Try bleach or dark colored duvets.

I loved the ease of access to the hotel, and all it’s amenities! Our hosts Vince and Isla have really created a great atmosphere here with such cute decor and clean, stocked shared spaces. It was my first time staying in this type of space, and it was honestly very cool! I have definitely enjoyed and loved staying in Capitol Hill! Communication can be slow to questions

We stayed just one night and every thing was fine except that it was incredibly difficult to get Vince to respond to a question regarding checking out one hour later than the 10:00 AM specified despite posing the question when booking. Being able to talk to a person face to face would have worked better for us rather than communicating by email and getting a response only hours before we left.

One of my go-to spots when I come to Seattle. Close to shops and restaurants and I even got a weeklong pass to Pilates. Great neighborhood, safe and lots of public transport nearby.

I never actually saw the property because Expedia dropped the ball and did not finalize the booking. When I arrived, Sweet Suites had no record of my bookinbg and no availability, even though Expedia had taken my payment. I was given a replacement booking someplace else, but it was someplace I never would have selected.

Excellent communication with Vince, encountered minor maintenance issues that were quickly resolved. Other guests were very polite, quiet area safe to walk around in. Clean room and the whole property was stunning. Would go back again!

I was so happy to be able to stay at this property while my sister was in the hospital for almost two weeks. The bed was very comfortable, I loved having the washer/dryer and a full kitchen. Much appreciated.
