Great location for my purpose but expensive for what it is. I paid close to $400 and the bathroom needs work and everything is a bit tired albeit clean. Reception closes at 3 and bar at 2.30pm. Nice old building but why is Sydney so expensive?

Travelling with two Golden Retrievers was hassle free at this Hotel. They were welcomed as guests , given treats at the cafe and had their own courtyard off our bedroom. The room was kept clean , with fresh towels every day. We will stay again. It’s so close to everything.

This room was significantly larger than one I had when I stayed here before for what I believe was a similar price. This made a big difference in livability so choose your room carefully. Pet friendly. Thank you. Complimentary breakfast. Thank you again. Parking in Paddington is useful.

Yes it was welcoming to pets - which means you might walk into the lobby to find it dominated by a pair of Newfoundlands, or an undertained schmoodle might take up position at the next table when you're having breakfast. In other words, great for pet owners, not so much for everybody else.

I had a tiny room with no desk to speak of - probably got what I'd paid for, but wish I'd known. Cleanliness was OK, but by the time I left the back stairs were in dire need of a sweep.

Still the staff were friendly and efficient, the breakfast (though limited) was good value, and the hotel is charming and well located.

Rooms were clean, comfortable and have character, the whole hotel has warmth and charm. It is pet friendly, pets looked like they were living their best life, staff were amazing with pets and people. Breakfast is great with healthy options and terrific coffee. Location is great, i forgot i was in Sydney it was a quieter and more relaxed feel here. Walkable to shops and restaurants left and right straight outside the door. A big thanks to all the staff we had a lovely time, we will definitely come back for longer next time.

Pet friendly, but not as luxurious as pictures inferred. Felt like sleeping in a laundry converted into a bedroom. I appreciate that terracotta tiles are easy to clean though. The lock on the outer sliding door was extremely fiddly and difficult to lock.

Is an nice boutique hotel but a bit dated in the rooms. When entering the room it has a bit of a musky smell. Staff not overfriendly and check in is at limited times. Should install electronic lock on front gate as not easy to operate when there is heavy rain. Lounge room downstairs is nice.

We had our dog with us and our room was perfect with our own private courtyard.
We were close to Centennial Park for walking our dog and the public lounge area was cosy and warm. Breakfast included was great and the coffee was good. We had secure off street parking which made it easier. I will definitely look at staying here again in the future, it was a short drive to the beach and the complementary collapsible dog water bowl was appreciated. Thank you!

The property is looking very tired and uncared for. I always stay there as its super convenient but this time I was a little shocked in its demise. My room felt really unclean and the toilet seat was not stable.
The owners need to spend some money to maintain a standard that most travellers would expect in 2025.

We found correspondence with manager slow & had to chase him up twice - once early on for no answer to an email and again with self-checkin, when room advised was incorrect (which he knew but waited till we got there at 10:30pm & couldn't get in - had to call the AH nbr & he told us then). Notwithstanding, we'd stay here again.

The hotel is such a charming place. It feels more like a homestead which I loved! It's so cute, and the rooms are beautiful. Everything was clean, and the staff were very helpful.

The only trouble I had was with the lockbox as I have a disability which made getting the key difficult, but not impossible. If you have any upper limb issues, try to get there during office hours.
