This is a great place to stay for the price. It isn't cheap by any means, but it's among the cheaper options steps away from trendy Oxford Street. It is updated, clean, and the location can't be beat. It's a great spot for solo travelers as they have small rooms perfect for one.

This is a great hotel - well located, a great team, friednly staff and rooms of variable size. I was in a smaller room this stay in the newer part of the hotel, and yet I liked it very much. The old Cambridge Building rooms may be bigger, but this room was neat, compact and great. The rate was also fair and reasonable. The only thing that could lift this would be cleaning - the carpet in my room had not been vacummed - there was dirt and some things from the previous tenant on the floor and the hall definitely had not been cleaned. The bathroom also needed another wipe down. Otherwise, I love this place.

The Adge was perfect for our one-night stay, but we probably wouldn't have enjoyed a long stay. The Good: Price was very competitive for the area, very clean, fun decor, spacious room, comfortable bed, great lighting in all areas of room; good electrical outlet locations, lots of surfaces to set luggage on; the 2 younger desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The Less Good: automated text to me implied help would be on stand-by, but when I texted to ask about getting ice, I never heard a word back - seems like something a hotel should make available or at least answer; room key inserted by door starts electricity, which means our room was so hot when we arrived & took a while to cool off, & had to do over; made a point to reserve balcony room, but there was nothing out there to sit on!!!!; another Sydney hotel provided an electric converter in the room, but none here; only 1 of 2 elevators to our section seemed to be working; the trash can in the bathroom was 8\" diameter with a foot pedal - not at all useful in the bathroom.

My room was spacious- as was the great and comfortable bed - it was well fitted out, maintained and very clean. All the staff on every interaction were helpful and effective.
The hotel is sufficiently away from the centre for quietness. But sufficiently close to enable easy walking access. Public transport is close by, but as a walker/explorer I did t use it much

A fantastic location. The staff were friendly. Our room was an internal room without windows, so it would be worth confirming a room before making a booking. The room was a bit grubby, particularly the carpet with the bright colours highlighting all of the stains on the carpet. But the location trumps these downsides.

From the moment of arrival at the front desk, to checking out, I experienced friendly and engaging service. This is my go to hotel, as it is conveniently located, consistently good and offers good value too.
The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. There are many good eating options nearby along with shops and public transport.
It's well placed for an early morning walk through Hyde Park towards Circular Quay, the Opera House and the Botanic Gardens. Again with good cafe options on the return route.

Decent prosperity staff lacks personality. When called for an iron, 20 minutes later I had to re call and wait another 15 minutes. Attendant looked annoyed with me for requesting it. Declined housekeeping for entire trip as they were rude and speaking loudly as they cleaned other rooms talking about other guest and their rooms.

Person who checked me in was the only friendly person my entire stay.

The ADGE is a super modern location right in the middle of Surry Hills, a really pleasant and quiet neighborhood. There's plenty of bus stops within a 5 minute walking distance that'll take you to downtown Sydney, and there's a couple train stops about a 10-15 minute walk away as well. The staff at the hotel was wonderful - when I needed ice, or access to a microwave, they were prompt and helpful. I was on the 11th floor with a south-west facing window, and the view of Sydney was absolutely gorgeous. My only complaint is that the design of the bathrooms was quite compact and the shower drainage system being routed into the main part of the bathroom wasn't totally sealed, leading to some water leaking onto the floor under the sink after showers. Otherwise the room was great!

The room was dark and gloomy, with almost no natural light. The bedroom itself had curtains opening up to a black solid wall (zero light), while the living space had a large window but it opens to a narrow space between buildings which does not allow much sunlight. As a result it was very dim and not the most pleasant room to be in, which was disappointing as I had to work in the room for part of my stay - I had to have all the lights on throughout the day. While I don't necessarily expect a room to look precisely as in pictures, it really didn't resemble the advertised experience at all (the pictures look very light and airy/open).

Sorry but that’s where the good ends.
Room was an upgrade but it wasn’t clean. We told them but if they did reclean we didn’t notice. There was biscuit crumbs all over the place. Bed and pillows weren’t comfy, shower over thee bath which to be fair was probably mentioned in the description. Would just e over a little more than this. Try somewhere different next time we’re in Sydney.

Room and towels were dirty and cleaning not up the industry standards. The cleaning staff left behind dirty towels on several occasions and had previous guest hair on newly changed towels. In one instance, a wet face towel left behind on toilet seat on our second night. We also got placed on level 1 despite the photos having a view and window which is misleading from Hotels.com advertisement. Staff were excellent and location is great but would not stay here again. Would not recommend this one to anyone.

Fantastic staff and property. I had 2 minor problems with the room and they were addressed almost immediately. Climate control worked great. The bar is priced right. Public transportation is in the immediate vicinity, bus stop is a 3 minute walk, subway is a 12 minute walk. 1 word of caution, the walk from the subway to the hotel is partially uphill. I would definitely stay there again. Coffee machine is Nespresso and there is a small fridge. No closet but there is room for a suite case and a relatively large hanger.
