Given the incredible challenges of the time that I stayed there, this hotel really rose to the occasion. The staff went above and beyond to make guests comfortable in very challenging circumstances. The breakfast was wonderful and the location is fantastic.

The Mendeli Hotel is a little gem hidden on a side street close to Ha Yarkon Street. The accommodation was tasteful, the linens and bathroom products lovely. We were welcomed with chocolates and a bottle of wine and every day there was a glass of bubbly at the front desk.
The breakfasts were superb. A feast with to eyes and scrumptiously delicious. The manager is the best enduring that everything is the best it can be. It was indeed a treat.

All of the staff is extremely friendly, the room is clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the location is unmatched. It’s conveniently located one block from the beach, a few steps from many bus stops, and in a location that feels very safe. Highly recommend this hotel!

Nice hotel

The hotel has changed ownership, and it feels like they are still not fully organized, even though, as I understand, the change happened a year ago. The hotel is very clean, the breakfasts are decent, and the reception staff is friendly and helpful. However, the restaurant seems to be understaffed, and I would recommend they increase their workforce.

We added an extra night in Tel Aviv at the last minute and went back to Mendeli Street hotel where we last stayed in 2018. We did so for the breakfast. Because of the changed conditions following the war, the hotel only serves its amazing breakfast on weekends. Instead, ir provides you with a cocker for the Asimi Restaurant overlooking the beach. The 3 minute walk and the breakfast did not disappoint!! The value of the hotel is found in the kindness of the staff, the proximity to the beach and the cleanliness of the rooms. The standard room is small, the bed is great, the shower was excellent and the air conditioner a life-saver. Well worth the stay!! Thanknyou again Mendel!!!

Hip boutique hotel

The staff at the hotel were so friendly. The location is great. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. I didn’t realize that the room had only one very small window that faced a wall, so don’t go here if you want a view. The hotel does not have on site parking either. We ended up parking in a lot 1/2 mile away. That’s an important thing to note if you plan on having a car.

Exceptional -- greatly exceeded our expectations! Our superior room was much larger than expected. The double shower was huge, and there were 2 closets with extra storage space. They provided bottled water each day. The cappuccino maker was a nice touch. Bed was large and very comfortable, with premium bedding. Breakfast was unbelievable (and included!). Most days it was at Asimi (right on the beach, gorgeous view), and on Friday/Sat it was at hotel restaurant-- which is one of the top restaurants in Tel Aviv and was superb. Even though the bar and restaurant were full each night, our room was quiet. Remarkable quality, and the value for what we paid was amazing. Also the location was perfect, so close to beach and car rental and parking lot, and a short walk (15 min) to Shuk HaCarmel and Dizengoff square. Staff at hotel were extremely attentive and kind. We are grateful to have had such a lovely experience. It made our vacation.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights (9/29/2023 10/3/2023). A comfortable hotel in an excellent location, about a three-minute walk to the sea. The room was clean and perfect. I have to mention the hotel's restaurant, a perfect breakfast and the hairdresser at a very high level. Just to come and eat the hotel's chef's breakfasts is worth staying at this hotel.

This place was DISGUSTING! Rooms are dirty and smell like crap, no windows in the rooms, and terrible customer service. Unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. How can anyone breathe in a room with no window? I’m a social media influencer and you best believe I will be putting them on blast.

The loft room has the worst design I ever seen, bath room is part of the room, there is no place for towels, floor (some kind of a carpet) is wet all time (in our first room full of water below the carpet so we had to change rooms.

Near to zero flexibility for late check out on Saturday and I’m still waiting for the Orange juice and coffee in the morning breakfast…

Go for the breakfast

Breakfast was amazing.
If you are American, the rest of the world has small hotel rooms, this is no exception. The bathroom is nice size and similar to American size.
I wish there was recycling but I didn't see any the entire time in Israel.

Not so lofty

Two of us stayed in a \"loft\" room and found it very uncomfortable--very small room with a sink island in the middle, and the \"bathroom\" was a plexiglassed corner of the room. It was missing small amenities like hooks on which to hang wet towels and bathing suits. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was really good, and the location was terrific.

Dear Sirs,
Today my husband and I checked into the Mendelli Street Hotel in Tel Aviv, Israel and we were treated deplorably. The reason for selecting this hotel from hotels.com was the excellent service and the friendly staff that took care of us 5 years ago when we had booked it with hotels.com. We arrived at 2:30 to check in and were told that the room would be ready in 10 minutes which it was. However, we were told that we would need to retrieve our bags from storage which required us to also move everyone else’s bags from the storage to retrieve ours. We were told to do so because the hotel staff was busy eating their lunch. The room we were given had a broken bathroom door and we requested to be moved. The response from the staff was entirely rude and we were told that we would be responsible to move our bags back down to the lobby while they were preparing a replacement room. We refused to move our bags until the new room was available. Again they were rude. We then waited over 1 hour to get the new room cards. Before going up to the new room we asked if our bags was in the original room and were told to get them and move them. Once again we went up to the room but the door wouldn’t open and when we asked why we were told the bags were once more in the lobby. We then went down and our bags had been moved to the storage. Once again we moved our bags but now to the new room. As we entered we noticed that the sheets had been changed and new towels placed.

The service and atmosphere was no less then perfect, Gili the main host was amazing and pampered us throughout the entire stay.
There was a small hiccup with the initial room we got, after returning from the beach there was an awful smell in the room(that didn't exist when we got there) the reception team provided us with a new room within 15 min.
The breakfast is high class dining and given in the up beat restaurant of the hotel called Mashia(the service there is also over the top).
Just to set expectations the rooms are small and cozy, there isn't a siting area in the room but the lobby is very inviting.
Also it is located near many high quality restaurants and really close to the beach.

Pleasurable, will definitely come back

Located couple of min walking from the beach, we got beach towels and beers at the reception which was a nice treat. There are frew pubs and restaurants in a short walking distance from the hotel (and an exalent restaurant right under the hotel). The staff was very nice and willing to help with our requests. In fact, the only down sides were the room size (we stayed at the standard room. Pack lightly if this is what you are ordering) and the parking, which was located few min walking from the hotel. We will definitely going to stay there again, but in an upgraded room :)

A boutique hotel in the best location in TLV. The Restaurant of the hotel is a Chef restaurant serving delicious pieces. We had the best breakfast ever in Hotel restaurant. The service was superriour, we have got towels to the beach ( 2 min away by walk distance), a beach blanket ( as a gift) and even beers from the reception... They really did everything to mak us feel at home... Great Stay!! Highly recommended!!!

Breakfast in the restaurant was fabulous. The following morning I was scheduled for an early pick-up from my tour company and requested breakfast to-go. I expected a box-style breakfast. Instead, I received a large brown bag of a container with approximately 1 cup of nutella, half a loaf of bread, another container of olive oil, a container of lemon juice, a container of cucumber salad, a container of cut fruit, a container of cream cheese, and a container of granola. It was more food than necessary. Basically I was given picnic. Sadly, I could not consume all of the food and I was scheduled to have lunch while on my tour. Really, a box breakfast with an apple, a bagel with cream cheese would suffice.

The best hotel we had in TLV...and we stayed in some of the best. Even before arriving the service of all team led by Shai from Madrid, was above expectation. The Loft room that the team convinced us to uograde was amazing. The breakfast by the Meshya restaurant was one of the best I had (from hundreds of hotels WW).Perfect!

Not all it's cracked up to be

The Hotel is pleasing because the lobby and entrance are shared by a very nice Restaurant called Mashya. Lucky for the Hotel that Mashya have a different owner and provide great service at breakfast ( part of the stay) This offsets the indiffrent, arrogant and bad nature of the staff at Mendeli Street Hotel. They were non responsive to noise issues,smells and lack of service. They rely on the fact that once you've prepaid you are stuck and will eventually leave.

We were 1 minute from bus stops and 2 minutes from the beaches and facilities along the sea front.
Breakfasts were huge, fabulous, loads of choice and great value, included in our room package.
The restaurant is very popular with locals too, has an interesting menu, and is very on trend.
We will come again if we return to Tel Aviv.

What a great stay. The hotel is very clean and charming. I arrived early and they had my room ready. There is even a handwritten note from the staff that offered their assistance. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and the service was impeccable. The front desk clerk Ivan even insisted on offering me a drink on the house while I was waiting for my taxi. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Tel Aviv.

This is the 2nd time i have stayed at this hotel. It is near a major artery.Close to various sites you can visit like carmel market. Only 2 minutes from the beach. Excellent breakfast was included in the room price. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room has a safe and a rainfall shower. Bed was very comfortable. You can get there by taxi from Ben Gurion or take the train to Tel Aviv Savidor and get bus 10 from there to Ben Yehuda/Frishman.
