Cheap but extremely dirty

One of the cheapest places to stay in Tel Aviv so didn't expect too much however... the place was super dirty. Our whole stay of 3 nights a toilet had sh*t on it so definitely the bathroom was never cleaned. Worried the bed sheets are never cleaned either. One sheet had smoke burns in it. There were little spiders in the room on the walls of our room too. Even though the hostel is old and used, having a good daily cleaning would elevate its status a lot with its close access to the beach. I would only stay there again for the pricing if no other place is available for around the same price.

No Air Conditioning

No air conditioning in the Tel Aviv summer is a deal breaker. The room was hotter inside then it was outside. Sleeping was impossible I had to leave in the middle of the night.

This place is disgusting! The shower doors were broken, the sink handle was broken, and there were cockroaches in the main area!! We had to come back to check in 3 different times because the room wasn't ready, even though we called to confirm the night before. We slept with our own pillowcases made from a T-shirt because the place felt so dirty. I highly do NOT recommend staying here. Also Sky and Momos are the same place, which was not communicated beforehand.

This \"hostel\" has been merged with
Momo's Hotel/Hostels
Ben Yehuda Street 28 Tel Aviv.
Luckily for exhausted me I figured this out. (no sign at 34 Ben Yehuda).
There is no hotel/hostel at 34 Ben Yehuda which is the address Expedia gave me (and told me I was reserved at Sky Hotel). The place, MOMO, is in a state of disrepair, obviously waiting for demolition. In April, 2022, Ben Yehuda is undergoing construction (water mains? I am not sure). They start work at about 11PM (23:00hr) and go all night right at this hostel currently. There is no Bar now, no breakfast being served. Lobby is a mess. There is hot water and it isn't filthy. The location is good. Expedia had the wrong address too. Not a good feeling to arrive at a hotel that isn't there.

It is summer and The air conditioner is not working 😡😡 but there is a dusty and dirty electric fan!!!!The wall is peeling. The shower door is broken.

The place is very run down and dirty. The room was extremely small for 3 people, we couldn't turn around. There was absolutely no hot water. Staff was friendly and we had no trouble with a laye check in

Service was great. Front desk was very helpful. Rooms and bathroom are ok. No A/c. There was old and splintered furniture as well as cracks in the walls which allowed bugs inside.
It is in a great location- 2 blocks from the boardwalk and walking distance to many attractions.

This place is a disgusting dive

This place is awful. I would say they need to clean more, but maybe clean at all is a better statement. Not only filthy, but seems they do not believe in any upkeep. Their supposed air conditioning, for which they charge extra, is a joke. It is set to a motion detector which requires you to wave your hands right in front of it every 20 minutes. Since you cannot do this while you are asleep, you might as well sleep in an oven.

Good location, that’s about it

-There was only WiFi in the lobby, but not in the rooms.
-The breakfast included means a sandwich and coffee in another hostel.
-Booking through hotels.com there was no information about missing AC, so I ended up paying extra.
-Stains on sheets and towels.
-Close to the beach and one friendly receptionist :)

You get what you oay for, or maybe less. This hostel is really old and messy and desperately needs a makeover. The room I got was a single bed room the size of a prison cell. The smell from the washroom always lingered into the rooms. THERE IS NO WIFI in the rooms. This is not mentioned anywhere upon check-in or on expedia but the wifi is only available in the lobby. The tv didn’t work in the room and they also have a weird policy that says that you are not allowed to have visitors even if you have a private room. The doors and windows in the building are really old and move too much. This can get really loud at night when the wind blows. With no wifi in the rooms I found myself spending more time in the lobby with the rest of the guests than in my room. Breakfast is served outside the hostel and even then the breakfast is a decent sandwhich and coffee. Only good thing about the hostel is the location. Very convenient for beach goers. Highly suggest to steer clear of if you are stayin for longer than a day and if with a group or friend. Only book if you are stuck in the city for an extra day and you are ahort on cash. Horrible place to stay when vaccationing but if you’re trying to save money, then just make sure you book tjis place with the lowest expectations.

Horrible.......cannot find a better word. I am not sure what else i can write. I request Israel tourism take some strict action to stop this hostel being let out to anyone. This need to be fixed else Israel name is getting spoiled

We booked room #32 for 4 nights, paid in advance, and it was non-refundable. That room is disgusting in every way! We asked for a double bed, but we got 2 twin beds. Traffic noise is loud, the wind blows into the room under the door and around the windows. The TV doesn’t work, walls are paper thin and dirty, sheets were soiled, and the shower curtain looked like it was used to clean the street. We weren’t told that if we want housekeeping we’d have to ask for it, even though we did ask for it the second day, housekeeping didn’t show up the entire time of our stay. When we asked for clean towels, they said there weren’t any. The included breakfast is a pre-packaged sandwich and coffee, and they are served at another hotel. Luggage storage costs 5 NIS per bag.

Never ever go to this hotel.

No wifi in the room, only in the lobby, no heating, the room, the bed, the bathroom was awfully unclean. The staff was nice as far as manners go, and it's in a good location but that's all that was good about it.
It can completely spoil your holiday, you can't wait to leave and sleep in a clean bed.

I would not ever recommend this accomodation to any human being. The room was dirty and smelly. I found our blanket so dirty that I decided not to use it. Tripleroom size was 3mX3m. It wasn’t the cheapest option, you’d better to choose another one or can experience the hell.. not even similar to the pictures they use

Be realistic with expectation

There is nothing wrong with this hostel Id one manages their expectation. I mean truly it has to be one of the worst hostel I’ve stayed but that being said it was the cheapest I could find in TLV. The building is old and dilapidated. Bathrooms could be better serviced. The whole building smells musky and seen better days. You pay what you get for.

Good location but don't expect more

The building is old so you can't really do so much about it, but the beds and beddings in the room can be improved so guests can have a comfortable night sleep and can have a place to sit. Better not include breakfast when advertising the room as there is really nothing on it. To get WiFi, you need to sit alongside a crowd on the ground floor. You will stay in this hotel for the location, but don't expect more.

One night transit stay

I know Tel Aviv is an expensive place, but i could not imagine the standards are so low. The place is so much run down, lacks maintenance for years.
For one night transit stay it was fine, but not for anything else. And this is under condition you book private room with private bathroom - don't even try to book something with shared facilities - it's just not the place to do this.
The hotel staff was great though!

well, my stay was good because the location of the hostel is perfect, the beach is a street away! I did not like the fact that, they say you get free breakfast, but all you get is coffee and a piece of pastry. also the room that they gave me was super small, I am big man, I could not fit in the bed. if your not too picky this hostel is ok

Okay it's a hostel but still there are certain things that one expect. First of all the building is very old and in a bad condition. It needs renovation. The room was freezing. There is no heater at all. There are only two toilets in the whole hostel! Third person should wait...

This review is for Momo's Hostel not Sky Hostel

I was moved to Momo's hostel into a single room upon arrival. Basic room. Older place, needs renovations. Ok for the money. The reception staff was nice. Katrina was exceptional as a reception clerk. In order to get a remote for the TV, you need to leave a deposit. Very diverse environment.

Es un hotel que está en malas condiciones, en general no se puede esperar mucho más por el precio considerando lo caro que es el país, pagamos un poco más 85nis y nos dieron una habitación que estaba mejor y tenía calefacción

Pokój zarezerwowaliśmy spontanicznie, w piętek ok godz. 18.00, może to było przyczyną braku kontaktu z właścicielem. Od złożenia rezerwacji do nawiązania pierwszego kontaktu minęła ponad godzina. Nie mieliśmy jak się dostać do obiektu. Otrzymaliśmy inny pokój niż zarezerwowaliśmy, miały być osobne łóżka. Za tą cenę (ok 350zł/doba) oczekiwaliśmy czegoś lepszego.

Ziemlich eckelig!

Leider4 war es total schmutzig, zum glück hatte ich meinen eigenen Schlafsack mit. in der Bettwäsche hätte ich nicht schlafen wollen. Überall im Zimmer liefen Kakalaken und andere Tierchen rum.

Alles alt und verfallen! Das \"Superior\" Zimmer war alt dreckig. Das war absolut das Schlimmste was ich je gebucht und gesehen habe! Das Hotel wechseln war aber auf Grund des ESC und der Auslastung in Tel Aviv nicht möglich.

Nice service and location, bad room

The personnel is very nice and helpful. They helped me with public transportation etc., and location is great, less than 5 minute walk to the ocean.
My room on the other hand... There was water damage in the ceiling, the room smelt moldy, there was spots on my covers, fungus on the wall and paint came off in wet clumps. I only stayed one night and I would not recommend spending longer time than that in a room like this, since it would actually be unhealthy.

Very bad condition, beds are not real beds, its from broken couch, dirty bed pillow. No heater, no clima, very cold rooms.Breakfast only small sandwich and you must go to another hotel. The rooms smells mold, you can be ill here!

Los hombres que estaban en recepcion no eran nada amigables ni simpaticos, llegamos horas antes de nuestro check in y no nos dejaron pasara antes.
Dejamos las maletas en consigna en un cuarto donde tambien habian biksas de basura.
Teniamos habitacion con baño, pero este totalmente sucia y con mal olor.
El desayuno incluido era en un sitio cercano en el cual habia una cucaracha muerta en el suelo.
Los dos sitios dejaban mucho que desear con la limpieza.
Se puede tener un hostal humilde y sin comodidades pero otra cosa es encontraraelo que se nota que jamas hacen limpieza como para que gente se hospede ahi.

El hotel esta a dos calles de la playa.

Solo hay wifi en la recepción del hotel. La habitación que me asignaron (dos camas individuales y baño) tiene un balcón con vista a la calle, por lo que hay ruido a toda hora; además, se filtra mucha luz de la calle, a través de las cortinas. Por último, las camas son incomodas. Yo espero que el resto de las habitaciones del hotel esten en mucho mejor condición.
