We were in a city room at the north of the building.

On the first night, we were kept awake by the sound of traffic and sirens. The soundproofing is nowhere near good enough.

On the second night, kept awake by the noise of the wind moving through the closed windows. Again, clearly soundproofing is an issue. In the morning, after breakfast, the sound of construction/refurbishment from the connected apartments. Not great.

After the third night - woken at 7:15am by incredibly loud drilling noises. All the receptionist would say is that the builders had the \"legal right\" to start work at 7am in the morning. Not even an apology!

At that point we had to leave. The manager arrived at around 9:30am and agreed to refund us our remaining seven nights. When we left, the entire building was echoing with the sound of drilling from the apartment renovations.

Other more minor notes: breakfast is pretty good, but hotel itself is small and short on facilities and pleasant places to sit and relax outside of the room. Our room was modern and well furnished with Nespresso machine and pods but rather small. Our safe failed twice but the repair man came quickly in both cases.

Will I return again? Never.

Just Horrible With Zero Management

Horrible experience. The website showed a front view of the ocean. This was a lie. The hotel had more dogs than people. This was not disclosed. Dogs were barking and howling day and night. In the room next to me the guests had commercial size helium or nitris tanks and blowing up balloons day and night and trashing the outer area of the balcony. Cigarette butts and trash were thrown on my balcony. The hotel is absent of management. They refused to speak with me. The pool area was full of trash and old food left behind. It was chaotic and unorganized. The pool is tiny compared to the online falsley advertised picture that made it look big. Even with no smoking signs people were smoking non stop. It eas disgusting and impossible to be around the smoke. Hotel employees were smoking there as well and drinking large amounts of vodka with guests. Food was sub par for a Herbert Samuel. Location to beach is awesome.

An excellent resting place after a busy day

I took my wife to Tel-Aviv for a massage and a restaurant for her birthday and we booked a night, so we'll have the next day to have fun around the city.
The staff was very friendly and caring. There was an inner sense of calm in the that is rare to see elsewhere.
The room was tidy and spacious, with the bathroom being very impressive.
The hotel is clean, neat and well styled. It used to be smaller and they took another floor from the building that hosts them and converted it be part of the hotel - the transition was done well.
The breakfast was delicious! Fresh veggies, tasty cheese, everything properly seasoned and warm.

Overall, a great place if you're looking for a place sleep and start and easy morning, while enjoying the city during the day.

Was a lovely romantic stay in the Presidental Suite. Just an overnight getaway complete with a complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate. We have stayed in TA before but were looking for somewhere new (and available). This hotel was an excellent choice. Beautiful new rooms. Breakfast was solid. (Afternoon snack had very slow service). The only disappointment was that the pool area was 'closed for the season'. It would have beeen nice to be able to use the lounges even ifthey had the pool closed. There were multiple other hotels in the area with open pools because it was 70 degrees! I never call out employee names but Muti at the front desk was among the top-ten most congenial and helpful hotel employees I have encountered in 1000's of hotel stays around the world!

There is construction outside the hotel but you can’t hear anything with the windows closed. The breakfasts are delicious and certified kosher. The rooms and bathrooms are modern. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a glass enclosure. This maybe awkward for some people. There is no bath in the bathroom only a shower. The pool and deck are small but it is still lovely to sit there. There is paid parking at the hotel. There is a communication problem with the staff if you are an English speaker who can’t speak Hebrew. The location is amazing! Across the road from the beach and within walking distance to many restaurants and the Carmel market. I would stay here again.

We bid for an upgrade and got a beach-facing room - it was fabulous - everything you want in an upscale quality room: very clean and comfortable, terrific shower, excellent bed, quiet, excellent AC, and it had all the small extras that make a stay pleasant and memorable. The balcony was wonderful! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and made it very easy to handle our needs over sabbath. The breakfast was huge and quite good, and the service staff very attentive. Recommended.

The property was amazing with easy access to the beach across the street. Our room had a balcony and we could see the beach from our room. The original staff member that first assisted us during the check in process was extremely rude and unaccommodating. I believe her name was Kristina. She ignored me and helped other guests that were cutting in front of us. I showed her our Expedia room type and she ignored what I said and assigned us the worst room on the property directly above the construction area and without a balcony. After we came downstairs to have the room reassigned to the type of room that we purchased through Expedia she refused to help us, ignored our reservation, and told us that the property had no other rooms available and that we can either stay in that room she assigned us or go find another hotel to stay at. I asked to speak to her manager and she said she was not a manager but that we can go try to find her manager if we wanted to speak to her manager. She made no effort to try to locate her manager and refused to help us. The gentleman at the front desk working next to her overheard our conversation and said that he would assist us. He apologized for her behavior, found us the type of room that we paid for, and also was kind to send a bottle of Champagne to our room as an act of kindness. I hope the management of the Opera Tel Aviv hotel reads this message, and addresses the attitude and behavior of the girl that first attempted to check us in.

The hotel doesn’t know the meaning of Hospitality

Long story short it was an uncomfortable two-night’s stay in an unwanted room facing a noisy construction site with very unpleasant and rude service.

We arrived late at night after our plane delayed, the hotel reception verifies our room booking (like30 min) they finally confirm it and inform us that instead of the lobby they will be giving us an “upgrade” and reserve another room.
We checked in however the “upgrade” was unfortunate, they gave us a room facing a very noisy constructions site instead of the quiet room facing the lobby we reserved. More than that we could not leave the room in the next 24 hours because officially in isolation before receiving the green pass from the government.

The morning after I was woken up at 5:00 from very loud noises from the construction site, for which I go complaining at the reception. After a brief explanation, I receive a very condescending attitude from what I can describe a teenage cheeky receptionist, telling me that they didn’t know there was a construction site (really a skyscraper size construction site is next to the hotel and they are unaware??), and when I make her notice that quite loud she just answer me that most of the guests don’t mind (so they are aware now..).

she told me I should have complained when she called my husband the day before. However, when I asked my husband about that he told me he didn’t receive any call. Then she raises her shoulder and she literally tell me there is nothing she can do..

I never got to stay in the hotel.

When I booked, the hotel offered a free covid test as part of their service.

I got to their sister-hotel to get tested on the day as instructed by the reservation team, only to be told they are not offering the service on the day and that I can't check in. No solution or apologies.

I was told to reach out to the customer service department for refund and compensation. And that was it.

After a number of calls and emails (took almost a week), I managed to sort out a refund. Not a compensation.

Possibly the worst customer service I ever encountered. Stay away.

Free Grass smoking neer the swimming pool, broken alcohol bottels neer by, no body is collecting the damages, really unsafe area, at night an fire alarm hazard appeared, no one told usvthat its a folet alarm, we rushed out, we are senior citizen, my wife with foot problem s had to the 4 floors by stairs, and then at the reception, we have been told that its a technical problem, big shaim !
we ordered and paid for breakfast, unfortunately we have got woacher for a restaurant neer by, nothing good to tell about,

The hotel is a great location on the waterfront Theroom was very small hard to even store 2 suitcases. I question whether this was a deluxe king. It had an odd half window which looked over a construction site. We were on the 5th floor which required 2 lifts. The 2nd lift was very difficult to find with no signage
Very impressive foyer, reception bar area but the bar wasnt open at any stage and was quite untidy behind the bar. Staff just ignored you as you waited to see if anyone would serve you.
Hotel was under construction which Wotif should have stated at booking.

The Opera Tel Aviv was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve been at in a while. What I loved most about it was how spotless and clean it was. It felt brand new (which I think it might be). The bed was comfortable, water pressure strong, and the room was so clean it was fantastic. The hotel is right across from the beach and is perfectly located. We loved the coffee shop downstairs outside called “cafe Linder?”. I highly suggest this hotel- nothing bad to say. I would 100% stay here again!

They have a beautiful feature lobby bar but don't use it. Having said that they prefer to offer guests a free bar service in a hospitality room. Only real problem is that they only offer room service food in the absence of a restaurant. Generally good though.

A fab stay at Opera by Herbert Samuel - beautiful big room with lovely amenities, huge shower and very comfy bed. Cava and snacks put out in the afternoon for guests to enjoy. Beautiful view of the ocean from the pool and terrace - a prime spot for watching the sunset. Just across the road from the beach. Some renovation going on but it did not effect us at all.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were super nice! Perfect location next to restaurants, bight life and of course, the beach. The only draw back was the main elevator is still under construction as other floors are being added but there is an additional elevator to use. Some of the staff went above and beyond while others had an attitude and were completely unhelpful. The breakfast and complimentary snacks/ champagne were delicious and always accessible.

Modern property. Some bedrooms quite small so maybe ask for an upgrade to get a larger room. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom had excellent walk in shower. Pool on 4th floor not large and can get quite crowded!
Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Hotel isn't quite what appears in photos, the taller elements of the building are private apartments and the hotel only occupies 4 floors - one floor was in the process of being renovated so some building work could be heard.
Hotel is in a good location and opposite beach.

I believe I should receive a full refund on my stay here. The first night, the television kept turning on by itself, and there was a construction elevator going up and down outside the window for the entirety of our stay. The second day, the flor below us flooded, the gym and entire hallway were out of order, with vacuums and fans and furniture everywhere. The electricity went out and then all the lights turned on at 2am - waking us and our baby up several times. The staff seemed short, unpleasant, and I am honestly shocked that they did not compensate me for my entire stay. They were rude and inconsiderate.
