I didnt even bother checking in. Creepy location on outskirts of surrey with lots of unhoused persons walking around the location. Junk piled on window ledges made it seem like people were actually living in this hotel full time. Since I was traveling alone with two young kids, I did not feel safe even exiting my vehicle for check in, so I didnt.

The room was clean. The staff was courteous. My complain is more about the overall establishment. All vending machines are broken. The staff did their best to accommodate but it feels like it is run by a bunch of newbies. No experience in running a hotel. If you are looking for a snack, good luck. The breakfast was a real joke. It feels like it is in a storeroom. You have to go into a door behind the counter and climb a narrow stairs. If you plan to have breakfast at 8am, good luck. It is probably all gone already. The coffee come from a vending machine and it taste like crap. At this point I'm starting to worry about freshness of the bagels. Anyway, will I return to that hotel...hell no!.

The one positive thing I’d like to share is that the staff were pleasant and helpful when called upon.
We entered a cold room with a very cold floor. They hadn’t bothered to turn the heat on. My wife was disappointed there were no drawers for clothing. We were staying a few days and had to live out of the suitcase. There were no reading lights on the bedside table, just mood lights wrapped around the headboards which are not adequate. The sink and tub stoppers are either nonexistent or inoperable…..
There’s more, but I’ll stop there. I’ve heard it said you get what you pay for. That is clearly not the case here, we paid far too much!
We entered a cold room with a very cold floor. They hadn’t bothered to turn the heat on. My wife was disappointed there were no drawers for clothing. We were staying a few days and had to live out of the suitcase. There were no reading lights on the bedside table, just mood lights wrapped around the headboards which are not adequate. The sink and tub stoppers are either nonexistent or inoperable…..
There’s more, but I’ll stop there. I’ve heard it said you get what you pay for. That is clearly not the case here, we paid far too much!

Stayed on Thursday night. Hotel is in a not great location right next to the sky train that clatters by regularly. Room was basic. Bed was small and uncomfortable. Breakfast was basic. However, what really made this a terrible stay was that the rooms didn’t have hot water. I couldn’t shower, worried that the bedding wasn’t properly cleaned and none of this was states at check in, nor did the hotel contact us before stay. I’ve literally never stayed anywhere that they didn’t even have hot water. Felt like a 3rd world country, not Vancouver . I hope I am offered a refund. Ridiculous.

Well what can I say, when we were driving down to the hotel we were joking about what sort of dive will it be this time. How wrong were we! Every hotel we have stayed in with this price bracket is being milked for all it is worth with them being dirty and in disrepair. But this is a diamond in the rocks and happy to be proven wrong. Polite staff and front counter is manned, the super long hallway spotless, towels in the bathroom where a decent size, not oversized tea towels. The breakfast was a proper breakfast as well. This hotel is being treated as business, not as a cash cow and I believe the owners are in it for the long term. Could I find fault? Yes because I'm picky when it comes to something that is hard to fault. In our bathroom, there were a couple of tiles that had been missed when grouting, I offered to fix this if they had some on site but they did not. The only place I managed to find a bit of untidiness was the stairwell beside the elevator which just needed a quick vacuum. We will stay here again even if it means we have to drive further, place its only a 5 minute walk to the metro. Totally recommend this place.

We arrived after having been up and going for 13+ hours already. The check in process was quick and easy, but when I got to the room, at the very end of a very long hallway, it was a tiny room with a double bed. We had booked a queen bed and are accustomed to a king bed at home, so it was quite the squeeze. We probably could have gone back to the front desk and requested the proper room, but as I said, it had already been a long day and we only had 1hr for a quick power nap before I had to be at the appointment that we had traveled for. The room was clean and staff was friendly, but it was very disappointing being put into a subpar room that didn't meet the reservation specifications, especially when the vacancy rate was obviously high while we were there.
