Do not stay here. Hotel is on a beach, but a beach that is far from all the main places (to the point where taxi drivers were asking me why I was staying there). What bothered me most is I prepaid for a room for three people with half board (breakfast and dinner included), the staff confirmed this was included in our reservation at our check-in, and then when we went to check out, they added a charge for the full menu price for every single breakfast and dinner we ate there for our three days. The staff confirmed this was a mistake in our bill, but after waiting around about 20 minutes as two people there \"tried\" to fix it, they claimed they were somehow unable to fix it before we had to leave for the airport (they said they would give me a refund on my credit card later, and they did not do that either). Total rip off. To top it off, found a dead rat/mouse on my balcony one morning. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel unless you want to be far away, maybe get ripped off, and maybe find a dead rodent in your room.

The hotel location is nice- about 15 minutes from the airport and right in the beach. Unfortunately, the beach was full of seaweed and we could not swim. The Restaurante staff was friendly but very slow. The reception was not friendly and also very slow. Our room was nice and comfortable but loud and we could hear the construction next door and kids in the pool. I would not stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Cocoplum. This was our first trip to San Andres. I can’t say enough about Cocoplum’s amazing staff, they went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable stay. They were so welcoming, courteous and helpful. They coordinated our transportation, island tours and made sure we got the most of our trip. Cocoplum’s beach was only a few steps from our room it was so relaxing and clean. We’ll be returning to visit our friends at Cocoplum!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved that it was front beach and there were rental cars outside the hotel. They had a local taxi who h made us feel safe. Downside is that it is outdated and old rooms and no closet space. But perfect for an affordable front beach hotel.

There’s a unique layout to the property that will entice travelers, but that’s all they’re selling. There are stray dogs that freely roam the property, cleaning that hasn’t been done in ages, and there was potent smell of urinal cake in our room, along with black spots on our pillows. We left after night 1/3 for a cleaner location.

Cocoplum was like a sitcom parody version of a beach hotel. Had a blast at times, at times were confused at how everyone elses experiences in their rooms were so different from one another. By in large we really enjoyed, but mostly because of the quirks. Beautiful beach spot, Pablo the main bartender is the man. Great stay!

Great location with a true beach, away from crowded downtown area. I wish they had umbrellas or some type of movable shade, since there is less palm trees or cover. Food was great, just needs a bit more variety. Staff was friendly and so easy to go out and see the island.

We loved our stay! Loved everything about the hotel. Enjoyed the beach and pool. Lots of amenities near by. Parasailing, renting a side by side and going around the island, booking a boat tour to the keys. The staff are courteous and professional.

We have stayed at this property in the past and really liked it but this time we found the hotel to be quite rundown and things needed to be fixed. We have always loved the beach here but this time it was awful with lots of seaweed that wasn't being cleaned up, which in turn left a horrible smell like sewage. I did not swim once in the water because the smell was awful! Although the staff are amazing and food is very good I have to say the hotel itself needs major improvements and updating.

The only highlight of the property is that is has its own private beach. The rooms are old and poor conditions, no wifi connection available; our reservation was for 3 days but we left after the 1st night and looked for other option within the island. Luckily we found something more accommodating and better price. Cocoplum did not return our money for the 2 days we did not stay.

I love this place, great views and great location. Its 10 mins away from where the majority of the hotels, restaurants and shops are. However, Rocky cay is close “, but I would take a boat or jet ski there. Saw someone barely made it back swimming from rocky cay. Take the tours to johhny cay and el aquario. You will need those water shoes fornthe coral reef. They sell those shoes for 15k pesos at the pier you leave out of for the tour. Good snorkeling gear us 30k. Tours are 50-70k pesos. There amazing. Its 25,000 pesos each way from and to the airport. Eat at “la regatta”, “donde franchesca”, “casablanca” and “captain mandy”. You have to rent a golf cart and drive around the whole island. Stop at hoyo soplador while driving around the gold cart. The gold cart cost 170k pesos from 9am-6pm. Possibly my best vacation.

Hotel is extremely old, only water available is ocean water. Bed, bathroom, everthing is worn out. Reception staff is friendly, waitress staff move at a snail pace. On our first night we sat down and waited 20 minutes to even be acknowledged eventhough there was only one other family in the restaurant. Staff is more interested in socializing. Bed and room filled with sand and sheets were stained. Food mediocre. Only good thing was the walking distance to tge beach. For what they are charging you would expect wayyyyy better. Would not recommend.

The hotel is on a beautiful beach with a nearby island that you can walk in the water to. The hotel itself is about a 3. The food and drinks were really good at the hotel restaurant. You could not drink the water from the sink and they did not bring water everyday. They offered free internet but it did not work well.

Amazing location right on the beach with amazing white sand.

The hotel itself is pleasant and has nice AC, balconies, and they are really comfortable. A slight downside is that our room needed a few minor repairs but it really didnt get us down. We loved the place.

Restaurant right on the beach, Nice reception staff, nice other tourists.

Nice cocktails and we felt very safe. I only mention that as in the main town their was a slight edge towards tourists but nothing to get upset about.

Some lovely friendly dogs walked down the beach with us and even came for a jog with us one morning. Dont be put off if you dont like Dogs they will not really disturb you and they are very sweet. They made our trip extra nice.

One of best places on SA to stay

One of the nicer beach hotels on the island, and there are not many of them. Food is pretty good, especially the ceviche and fish. Nice hammocks and beach dogs. Good family place. or good place to rent a golf cart and drive fro, far away from el centro so none of that noise and conjestion. Staff very nice and helpful.

Excellent beach but hotel needs some work

We stayed at Cocoplum for 6 nights for a rest over Christmas after travelling around Colombia for 2 weeks.

We arrived in the evening so it was dark and couldn't really see what the hotel looked like properly. First impressions were of the less than happy receptionist who greeted us with a stony face. I did manage to get a little smile out of her at one point but it wasn't the warmest of welcomes!

We had booked a standard double room - the room is basic but generally fine. The bed was creaky but comfortable (except when they used a fitted sheet as they never stayed on the mattress!). After staying in some amazing hotels in Colombia this one was a little disappointing but it wasn't awful but the hotel could definitely use some upgrading in places.

The following morning we got a proper view of the hotel and the beach. It was christmas eve and the staff seemed a little happier that day! The beach is lovely and there were plenty of sunloungers to use.

We made friends with Oscar, the bar man, who was an absolute delight! He always came over to say hello in the mornings and was happy to chat to us. We loved Oscar!

After a week I think we had managed to win over all the staff and everyone seemed to be a bit cheerier. Whilst the hotel wasn't the best we stayed at, we did enjoy our time here and would probably go back (but would book a better quality room!)

The hotel is rustic. Do not expect luxury or typically accommodations / services. The rooms are nice enough- you're likely not going to spend the majority of your time in your room. They're clean and the air conditioning works very well. The shower / bathroom / skin area does leave a little to be desired but when you see the condition of the broader island, you cannot complain. I would be remiss if I did not mention that our group had a major incident the first night we arrived- a young man jumped from a nearby roof onto our friend's balcony, broke into their room and stole all of their money. None of the sliding doors in any of the rooms lock and obviously locals knew that and took advantage. No one was hurt and the hotel did refund our friends and give them their money back. The police were called but they are literally no help and could not have cared less. When i tell you that you are in no-mans-land on this island, it's an understatement.

The beach area is nice but it's not the best / nicest on the island by far. The water is brown and there is a ton of seaweed washing up on the shore and in the water. This is absolutely no fault of the hotel. If you go just down the road to the next cove beach you'll get an entirely different experience- crystal clear blue water, no seaweed. Again, this is nothing against the hotel. Also, there are several really, really sweet beach dogs that live near the property. They re so friendly and well behaved. Please feed them.

I will definetely NOT be back

We saw some mixed reviews and we have decided to pay a bit more and book the \"junior suite\" to tried to get a better experience. They anyway tried to fit us in a ground floor room with two singles beds and a terrible smell coming from the wc. After complaining we managed to get a more decent room but the condition of the bathroom was appoling, with ants in the sink, spider webs in the ceiling and a rusty bathtub.
Regarding the service, apart from one or two exceptions, you won't find too many people trying to help you. More often you will hear constant loud complainings from people clearly unhappy to be working there.
Breakfast has a very limited selection and always something missing, but, to be honest, the \"à la carte\" option was good in both quality and price.
Location is also good with a nice beach, only thing to consider is that you are a bit isolated and you will need taxis or to rent your own vehicle to move around.
As a good bye present they tried to charge us for an additional dish at the check out.
I am not sure if there was any other newer rooms, but my impression is that they are living of having a nice beach in a touristic destination and do not make any effort to provide customers with a nice experience. Just wondering for how long they will survive like that.

I have to admit that this hotel in located on the best beach of the island, with Rocky Key in front of you. The restaurant (with awesome food!!, well, breakfast is not so great...) is really nice, and on the actual beach. The staff is quite friendly, and they offer tourism services and beach activities too. Unfortunately the rooms are not well maintained, and the bathrooms are disgusting! We were placed in one room first, but we complained and they moved us to some other that it wasn't so bad... We stayed for 6 nights, and half of the days we didn't have hot water to shower. You will be told when you check in that the water is heated with solar panels, then, no sun, no hot water. I don't know where the water used for flushing the toilet was coming from, but it was brownish and stinky! We had to keep our bathroom door closed. Anyway, do I recommend it? It depends... Are you looking for great local food and great beach and you don't care about the room? this is the place! Do you want a comfortable room with nice and clean bathroom? try something else.

Charmly, romantic and nice stay

Hotel is really on the beach with a lot of vegetation and plants that gives you a very tropical impression.
The restaurant is practically on the sand where you can appreciate the very beatifull sea waters, sand and nature. Dinner is also served in a mezanine creating a very romatic atmosphere. The waiter (Antonio) and the food are fantastic. The rooms are large, confortable and clean. Two ambients in the rooms allow good stay for kids and groups.

The greatest thing about this hotel is that it realy is on the beach, you can dinner at the beach, under some trees, candle light, low coast reseable wine (15USD Casillero del Diablo). Perfect for those ho wants to have some days to relax. But the hotel service and maintanance could be improved. The build has a lot of things to be fixed.

Paradise unknown to many Americans

San Adres is an island state of Columbia in the SW Caribbean. It is only 21 square miles but packed with all the beauty you would expect from this location. The people are friendly and most of the native Islanders speak English. Spanish is the main language of the \"mainlanders\" who have come from Columbia proper. The Cocoplum Hotel is located out of the one town on the island and is well equipped and right on the beach. It is well maintained and comfortable, and the food service is excellent. This is on an American plan with breakfast and/or lunch/dinner included. The cost is quite reasonable per night for a room with two beds. There are island tours available, and bus service is also convenient. Most people get around on motorbikes but car rentals are also an option. Very interesting place!!

The best beach on the island

Cocoplum's charm is its beach location and the ambiance of its outdoor life. The dining room is open air, and whether it is raining or sunny, it is delightful. The beach has a stand of palm trees with hammocks strung between them and plenty of reclining beach lounges for the guests. There is a small pool that is used primarily for families with children, and a small playground. The restaurant food is uniformly good and they have a nice menu of cocktails. Breakfasts lean toward starchy, but it is part of Colombian culture and cuisine to serve a variety of breads, including arepas, pancakes, and other breads. They always serve eggs which you can have with ham and cheese or tomatoes and onions. Lunch and dinner items are delicious. Don't forget to take your food or drinks upstairs to their rooftop dining room-it is lovely. The water is warm and shallow for a long way out, and it's nice to just hang out lazily all day. The bathroom needed a few minor repairs and one of our showers in the junior suite had low pressure, so we just used the other one. Both taxis and buses drive by the hotel frequently, so it is easy and inexpensive to get a ride into town. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The worst hotel at isle

At first the hotel was very dirty, particularly very dirty linen and towels in bathroom. Cleaned very bad. There was not hot water. In room was rank smell. This hotel is not quiet place, coz all night we could take pleasure music from nearest disco. This hotel must not advertise at site like \"Expedia\". This hotel is not \"3 star\", this is \"0 star\".

Only If You Are On A Budget!

Coco Plum is situated on a scenic beach and has passable amenities but it seems to have apathetic management that does not maintain the physical plant well. It could be an excellent property as the rooms are fairly spacious but maintenance of plumbing fixtures and painting is neglected. The owner doesn't seem to wish to put money into the property and some of the staff reflected an apathetic attitude as well.

It's a convenient location though, so if you're on a budget the rates are among the most affordable on the island which lacks major chains.

Horrível!!! Cama e quartos SUJOS.. nos deram um quarto de fundos, e com o hotel em OBRA< sem qualquer aviso, a frente do quarto com mesa e cadeiras completamente cobertas de poeira, sujeira, Banheiro com teto de plástico que pingava \"ägua\" _ roupa de cama suja, antiga, muito surrada, a cama idem... pedimos para trocar o quarto por conta da obra, e eles para indignação pediram que saíssemos do quarto ás 13 e que o \"novo\" seria somente ás 15hs, me recusei pois não perderia tempo com criança pequena fazendo mala para deixar na Recepção.. isso tudo com ordens dadas pela \"chefe\", resumo nos deram um outro quarto apenas ao lado do mesmo, como 4 quartos ao lado, que dava no mesmo barulho, e condições péssimas, ralos destampados no banheiro e enorme quantidade de caranguejos circulando pelo caminho... não recomendo! a praia é bonita, mas o serviço e opções de comida deles deixam a desejar, .. este mar tinha medusas, e minha filha foi queimada por uma, um acidente, mas é isso que tivemos de experiência

Överlag bra. Däremot lite smutsigt i badrummet, men det är det nog på de flesta hotellen på San Andrés. Långt från europeisk standard. Bra AC. Väldigt lyhört dock, lät som att de i korridoren stod i vårt rum och pratade. Även lyhört ut genom fönstret, man hörde alla ljud från gatan.

Tranquilidade de frente para o mar do caribe

Hotel pé na areia, sua localização é um ponto alto para quem busca uma experiência de tranquilidade em frente ao mar do caribe. O quarto que fiquei era bem confortável, a torneira da pia sai pouca agua, mas a ducha era quente e muito boa. Alguns funcionários não se esforçam para ser muito simpáticos, mas nada que atrapalhe a estadia. Café da manhã de frente para o mar. Cadeiras de praia são bem confortáveis com serviço com boa comida e bons drinks.

Cenário bonito, mas...

O serviço é ruim, como em toda a ilha. O restaurante é péssimo. Comemos 2 vezes e nas duas foi hma experiência ainda pior que o restante da ilha (que também não tem lá grandes restaurantes). O colchão do quarto era bem desconfortável, agua com vazão limitada (já sabíamos das restrições de água na ilha), mas a limpeza deixava muito a desejar. Não nos arrependemos porque nada é muito melhor em termos de hospedagem, pelo que pesquisamos. O cenário é maravilhoso e os passeios são excelentes.

muy regular hotel, solo es muy buena la comida

Lamentablemente el hotel esta muy mal tenido, no le invirtien nada al manteimiento de la habitación, la pisicina es decepcionante, no hacen limpieza de la playa, esta llena de basuras y de algas. lo unico realmente bueno es la comida, felicitaciones a los encargados de esta area.

Hotel bom e pé na areia

Na Ilha esse foi meu segundo hotel de hospedagem e posso dizer que foi o melhor e ultrapassou minhas expectativas. Apesar de não ser próximo ao centro. É o melhor local da Ilha para quem quer ficar pé na areia. O quarto é grande, possui agua quente no chuveiro (na maioria da ilha nao tem) e é confortavel. Faltou somente wifi no quarto. Utilizamos a diaria com meia pensao, onde no restaurante do hotel poderia escolher a refeição do cardápio, porem poucas opções, a bebida que acompanhava era uma refrigerante local (nós preferimos coca e tivemos que pagar a parte), a entrada era muitoooo simples (precisamo aprimorar). Tivemos uma dificuldade com idioma, pois só falavam espanhol e caso não falássemos na pronuncia deles, eles nao se esforçavam para entender ou chamar alguem que ajudasse. Em duas refeições o funcionário J. nos atendeu e nao foi satisfatorio. Na recepção fui me arriscar falar o espanhol, os funcionários entenderam porém ficaram rindo. Em uma madrugada acordamos com 3 goteiras no meio da cama, mostrei o video para recepção e nem teve um pedido de desculpas, somente que iriam verificar.

A localização é ótima, direto na praia, os funcionários também são cordiais e a limpeza é boa. O que precisa melhorar sao as instalações. Ducha do banheiro (é um tubo que sai uma bica d’água, ora quente ora fria). O banheiro também tinha um cheiro horrível, de esgoto mesmo. As cadeiras na praia sao antigas e precisam de melhorarias. Os cachorros que sao muitos, se deitavam nelas no final do dia, urinavam na areia e estavam ali todo o tempo (na praia em frente ao hotel). Aliás, sei que está é uma questão de gestão da prefeitura mas mesmo assim, o hotel pode pressionar para que algo seja feito. As mesas do restaurante também precisam ser constantemente limpas e o serviço pode ser mais ágil.

En general, todo iba bien, sin embargo tuve problemas a la hora del check out por malos entendidos con la facturación de los servicios en las comidas. Recomiendo verificar bien las condiciones de tu plan a la hora de ingresar y solicitar el detalle de la facturación antes de pagar al finalizar tu estadía.

La habitacion linda... el restauran tiene una carta con poca variedad, todo es frito y si bien los chicos son amables no son serviciales y se demoran muchisimo en atenderte cuando los ves que no estan ocupados... eso hace que uno no tenga ganas de comer ahi...

L'hotel è situato a San Luis nella zona est dell'isola, a 10 minuti di bus/taxi dalla città di San Andres, comodamente raggiungibile.
La spiaggia dell'hotel è una, se non la migliore dell'isola, fuori dall'hotel un paio di negozi di alimentari e niente di più.
L'hotel è carino, immerso nel verde costituito da casette a schiera di due piani tutte colorate, il personale è cordiale e disponibile, le camere dispongono di aria condizionata, ventilatore a soffitto, televisione e cassaforte, ma avrebbero bisogno di una bella ristrutturazione, soprattutto i bagni. L'acqua non è potabile. Quando siamo arrivati ci hanno dato una camera con vista su un recinto con filo spinato, non ci volevamo credere, ci sembrava di essere in una caserma militare! Il giorno dopo ci siamo fatti cambiare camera e ci hanno dato quella vicino alla hall e alla strada, meglio della caserma, non dovrebbero nemmeno proporle!
Wi-fi disponibile solo nella hall e nel ristorante situato sulla spiaggia, colazione buona, con 3 portate a la carte e parzialmente a buffet, abbiamo cenato una sera in hotel, la cena è buona ma limitata nella scelta.
Piscina piccola adatta solo per bambini, ma con un mare come quello a cosa serve la piscina!

En general estuvo muy bien. Aunque el personal del Hotel pude ser un poco más amable. Qué se note auténtico. En cuanto a los perritos que están en la playa, si no son responsabilidad del Hotel, es mejor que les ayuden a buscar un mejor lugar para vivir
