Cozy cloudy weekend.

I stayed the weekend to be close to the beach and explore this end of Barra. Unfortunately it was kinda cloudy and rainy, but the room was comfortable.

Also, I could swear that the hotel had a pool, because I always check the pool filter when searching and this hotel was listed, but it in fact doesn’t have a pool. Also, note that the outlets in the room are 220v. There was no advisory prior to checkin. Luckily my devices were dual voltage.

The hotel room was really small, I only enjoyed the shower. The hotel restaurant was marginal, the food was not fresh at times and the menu had no variety. Sodas were old and not carbonated. The front desk receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was okay but not what I expected.

Good place to enjoy Rio

The hotel is mix with abis hotel line , the pool was close due to COVID-19 but all bar and restaurants been open , room clean once every second Day , the hotel location is very nice just by the beach and 5 min walk to the center of event where u can find many bars and restaurants
It is a very secure area feel much different from other areas of Rio
I will say best beach in the area

An enjoyable stay in Rio

Great value for this property. Located at Station 1, the beach was across the street. The breakfast buffet was very good. A great selection and variety of food. The staff was excellent and always pleasant. The room was a bit small, but since we were only there for sleeping, it was perfect. The shower was great. A nice swimming pool, and fitness center. We were very pleased with the hotel location, however, there is a small charge to park, but nothing ridiculous (Approximately $7.00/night) and the valet staff very nice as well.

Great place

This was a great place to stay while I was attending a conference at the convention center. There was excellent food close by (I heard that there were not very many food options at the hotels close to the convention center). Public transit and taxis were both easily accessible from this location. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. My only complaint about that rooms was that their power outlets were only compatible with hexagonal plugs and not square ones. Staff was pretty helpful and the breakfast was good.

Nice clean hotel on the beach in the Barra

This hotel has comfortable rooms that are a little larger than Ibis Hotels and the lobby is nicer than most Ibis. However I think that for the price this hotel charges the breakfast should be free or at least quite a bit cheaper. Forty reais is an expensive breakfast at Brazilian hotels.

Very nice hotel, clearly new, very clean with good size rooms and facing a beautiful beach. There is a little \"padaria\" next door which does excellent lunches, dinners and snacks.

My only complaint is that the wheechair accessible rooms are all lined up against the building air conditioner and have a constant buzz and made it difficult for me to sleep. The staff were very attentive and helpful and moved me to a higher room which was a little better.

Many front desk employees do not speak English although they may say that they do. One employee,Daniel, was a welcome exception. The hotel caters primarily to Portuguese speaking business travelers. They do not exchange foreign money. The closest ATM is blocks away. The hotel is a distance from downtown Rio and a long cab ride from the airport.

Good location, new hotel

New hotel inaugurated just before 2014 World Cup. Very friendly and helpful staff. Although overall comfortable, the rooms are small compared with other Mercure hotels in Brasil. King sized bed is actually two joined single beds.

Recentemente me hospedei neste hotel e a experiência foi bastante positiva de forma geral. Desde a chegada, a recepção foi cordial e eficiente, com funcionários atenciosos e dispostos a ajudar em todas as solicitações. O check-in ocorreu de maneira rápida e organizada, o que já proporcionou uma boa primeira impressão. As instalações do hotel são bem cuidadas e transmitem sensação de conforto, com áreas comuns limpas, decoração agradável e ambientes que favorecem o descanso. O quarto atendeu plenamente às expectativas, oferecendo espaço adequado, cama confortável, roupas de cama limpas e de boa qualidade, além de um sistema de climatização eficiente. O banheiro, por sua vez, estava higienizado, contava com chuveiro de boa pressão e amenidades suficientes para uma estadia tranquila.

O café da manhã foi um dos pontos altos, com boa variedade de itens, incluindo opções de pães, frutas, sucos e pratos quentes. A reposição era constante e o atendimento da equipe do restaurante também se destacou. Outro aspecto positivo foi a localização do hotel, próxima a pontos de interesse, restaurantes e meios de transporte, o que facilitou bastante os deslocamentos. A estadia foi ótima, funcionários muito atenciosos, a Clarissa da recepção foi maravilhosa! Eu só consegui reservar quarto com camas de solteiro pelo app, mas ela arrumou na hora um quarto ótimo com cama de casal e com vista!! Deixou que entrássemos antes do horário, pois meu marido estava passando mal e ela foi muito solícita.
Cama ótima, quarto confortável, limpeza muito boa. O café da manhã poderia ter um pouco mais de opções de proteínas, mas foi bom no geral.

Bom custo benefício.

Equipe muito solícita e bem preparada, desde a recepção até camareira, único inconveniente foi ter sido acordado no meio da primeira noite por um funcionário batendo na porta, devido a um falso alarme do detector de fumaça, ficamos bem assustados, mas entendemos a situação.

A recepção atende a dois hotéis, Ibis e Mercure, apesar de muitos colaboradores o serviço é muito lento, algus colaboradores são ríspidos e mal treinados, ficam jogando as demandas de um para os outros e não resolvem.

Você recebe um e-mail para fazer um pré check-in, ingenuamente preenche todos os dados e chega à recepção e você fornece tudo novamente pois o \"sistema\" não funciona.

Para cadastrar a minha empresa e conseguir a emissão de nota fiscal, foi uma verdadeira epopeia:
Pedi para cadastro no Check-in, que como estava cheia, a recepção, compreendi o pedido da atendente e retornei um outro horário.

O atendente que estava desocupado, porém com má vontade, questionou porque não fiz no Check-in e porque não eu não deixava para fazer no Check-out. Educadamente expliquei os motivos e pedi para ele fazer mais uma vez. Inacreditavelmente, apesar de eu fornecer todos os dados, o rapaz demorou 40 minutos para fazer um cadastro, com toda indiferença e má vontade.
Quando no Check-out, que solicitei a nota fiscal, a colega me disse que ele havia cadastrado errado.

Nosso quarto não funcionava o telefone/interfone e não houve um dia sequer de limpeza, sem reclamação. Nós chegávamos do almoço para descansar, o quarto sujo e bagunçado, solicitavamos camareiras e elas só chegavam apos às 17h.

E claro, com um serviço muito rápido e ineficiente.

Na verdade foi uma frustração. Achei o quarto \"limpo\" porem encardida banheiro aquela batizada basica mas nao limpeza mesmo . Nao tinha cheiro de limpeza as bordas do box estavam sujas as cortinas amassadas e emboloradas. As toalhas manchadas e gastas. E o café bem decepcionante. A minha estadia no hotel Mercure foi incrível...tudo muito maravilhoso. O quarto que fiquei era grande com bastante espaço,cama confortável,banheiro limpo e tudo muito cheiroso. Roupas de cama e banho limpas,chuveiro quentinho, ar condicionado maravilhoso...quarto confortável e bastante agradável.As funcionárias da limpeza dos quartos, bastante eficientes e muito simpáticas...estavam presentes todos os dias repondo produtos e toalhas. O hotel no geral, é excelente...muito organizado,silencioso e confortável. Os funcionários da recepção são todos muito educados e atenciosos...sempre prontos pra ajudar no que for necessário. A minha estadia no hotel Mercure foi excelente. Tudo muito perfeito...limpeza impecável do hotel no geral, café da manhã maravilhoso e delicioso 😋 com muitas opções e variedades. Os funcionários do café da manhã são muito eficientes...toda hora é feita a reposição das frutas,pães,frios,bolos,ovos mexidos,pães de queijo...talheres, copos e pratos...tudo muito perfeito.A limpeza do hotel é impecável. Quarto e banheiro muito cheiroso...roupas de cama e banho muito limpa e cheirosa.Amei o quarto que fiquei...muito confortável e grande.O banheiro também é grandinho...produtos de banho que o hotel fornece,todos muito cheirosos e muito bons...a água do chuveiro quentinha...nota 10 pra tudooooo! No quarto 757 o ar condicionado estava com a aba quebrada e o vento vinha direto pra cama, passei frio. Não tem lava pé pra tirar areia do corpo e cadeira. A única torneira externa não tinha água. A vista desse quarto é maravilhosa. A limpeza perfeita. Trocaram nossas toalhas todos os dia e fizeram a arrumação. A sauna sempre fechada não conseguimos usar nenhum dia. Ficamos 4 dias. Café da manhã cobrado à parte. O hotel não oferece guardas sol e cadeiras, uma pena.
