Lovely family hotel with an excelling mini water park for the kids. Kids absolutely loved it and food was excellent especially the desserts. Amazing scenery and beautiful hotel. Only thing is sea is very rough due to area being quite windy so best to stick to pools.

Everything was perfect! The room, the food, the bar, the staff etc. The only thing is that since it’s winter over there it was very windy and kinda cold during the evening/ night. The room services were great! They’re up very early everyday to come clean your room, a bit too much but its part of the service and it’s remarkable to see them working.

The food is terrible. Poor variaty. Specialty restaurants are a joke they dont open every day plus when they open they dont take reservations you just have to line up (long line) and the variaty and quality of the food is not the best either.... very poor hotel. In addition if you are traveling with kids there is nothing for them very booring.

A beautiful quiet location, we were able to relax which was the purpose of our trip. Staff were amazing, friendly and did everything they could for you. Pools were kept clean and plenty of loungers there and on the beach. Only negative is price of taxis to get anywhere but that is no reflection on the hotel. Would highly recommend

Me and my wife went here on our honeymoon. We had to wait 6 hours to check in despite paying over 2000 pounds for our stay. The house keeping was terrible they didn’t change the sheets and they still had stains on them. The food was good but not amazing considering the price of admission. The store was very expensive as they were charging 55 euros for a generic blouse. The staff said all the meat was halal despite the hotel serving pork. The pork one day was also next to the chips. I will not be staying here again there are far better options in Mauritius. Please do not waste your money and come here. This trip had severe negative impact on my honeymoon.

The facilities are 5 star, the decor, the lounge areas and the pools were all very good. We were all inclusive, the drinks were good quality and varied with a 24 hour bar. Room was clean and beds comfortable, if you wished they would clean it every day. Entertainment every night in a lively setting with always space to sit. Food was a bit hit and miss for us. We found the main buffet good for breakfast but not to our liking for lunch and dinner. Having said that the steakhouse and Indian restaurant make up for this as the food there is delicious. The only downside is its first come first served which means you have to queue an hour before it opens, which to be honest is not really that bad but a bit of an inconvenience. Overall really enjoyed our stay, staff and facilities are amazing.

Worth the Stay!

If one word could describe our stay here… amazing! Only thing that would have made the experience better would be an omelette station, but I’m being picky.

The buffet was excellent. Staff were very friendly, and always accommodating. And the two staff members who organised the group activities were so fun. The kids loved the small dance/ concerts at the end of the night and it was a great way for them to burn energy!

What we liked - bedrooms were modern and clean. Plenty of sunbeds around the two pools and on the beach. Food was OK with plenty of choice - the specialist restaurants were very good. Staff very friendly and gave excellent service. South of the island was pretty.
What we did not like - WiFi kept dropping out and did not work in our room for 2 of the 7 days. Evening entertainment we felt was poor. Only had low calorie coke drink - would have liked more low calorie soft drinks. Felt underneath the sunbeds could have been cleaned at least every other day.

The overall stay was ok at best; Riu has dine in restaurants that guests can book through the app, however, it is impossible to book any; we stayed for a whole week and couldn’t get not 1 reservation for either restaurants, and front desk was no help in regards to that issue as well; another issue was the food, ok at best, however lacks variety, it was almost the same thing every night, and the cocktails were pretty subpar; last but not least we were damn near harassed to check out, I don’t know if this is a general practice, but a phone call to the room would’ve sufficed at notifying us about the check out time ( which we abided by) and not 2 consecutive in person notifications.
All in all Mauritius was wonderful but Riu made the experience subpar.

Riu turquoise is a beautiful hotel, the rooms look like the pictures. The all inclusive food is quite tasty and there is a lot of choice.
The swimming pools are clean and warm. The beach area is beautiful, the water is green/blue.

The staff are very friendly, lots of activities and entertainment for children and adults

The location can be quite windy, which makes it a good spot for water sports.
The cleaning of the rooms is not amazing. The standard is quite bad, no bleach was used and the mopped floors still left hairs and a horrible damp smell.

There was no flexiblility regarding check in and out time. Usually we pay extra to have access to the room until departure due to us having young children.

Great Resort to relax !!!

Great experience at the Riu Turquoise.
This is a huge resort in front of the sea and everything is great.
The rooms are large and modern.
All inclusive option works perfectly where everything is well managed, no need no wait anywhere and the buffet offers a large selection of choices.
The staff is well trained and extremely friendly (especially if you meet with Anaïs at the reception who will make your stay even greater).
If you like activities, there is one pool dedicated to it, if you prefer to stay at a calm place, a second pool is also available or you have the beach with many places available.

Franchement passez votre chemin. Et nous sommes loin d’être exigeants!
Repas: médiocres,
Cantine scolaire, aucune qualité, un buffet ou la quantité prime sur la qualité, on a préféré manger en dehors malgré le prix payé.

Produits de douche vides pendant tout le séjour,
Hôtel situé sur la pointe au sud, la plus venteuse de l’île, piscine froide et très très très exposée au vent, mer idem, impossible de se baigner. Zone enfant, qui vend du rêve mais très très très très exposée au vent, eau plus que froide + le vent: inutilisable.
En gros : c’est une grosse usine à fric, sans âme, sans mauriciens, et surtout sans base d’un hôtel de ce nom. Du bas de gamme honteux pour ce prix là.
Passez votre chemin.
Chambre mal agencée : surtout la salle de bain.
On a l’habitude des hôtels moins prestigieux ou même des Airbnb on est vraiment pas exigeants de base.
Regardez les photos: piscine vide.

Chambre classique propre et lit confortable mais un peu petit avec 2 enfants, pas mal de bruits dans les couloirs, qu'on entend bien des chambres (charriot du personnel) ; piscines assez petites vu la taille de l'hôtel mais agréables. Espace aquatique enfant génial mais La moitié du jeu était HS tout notre séjour, assez frustrant pour les enfants. En revanche personnel du Kids Club et animateurs extrêmement bienveillants, agréables , un vrai + les enfants ont réclamé le kidsclub et calu tout le séjour . Fête pour enfant tous les soirs et soirée adultes aussi très sympa, Attention horaires du Kids club 10H30 13H et 14H30 17H (pas de repas donné, pas de kids club après 17H) - autre vrai + on est arrivé vers 12H et la receptionniste très sympa nous a donné les chambres plus tôt et nous a dit de profiter des installations dès notre arrivée (même s'il n'était pas 15H) , idem pour le retour, vraiment très appréciable ! très commerçant !! Repas buffets bons, restaurants aussi très bons, coktails très très bien ! on recommande avec des enfants c'est top ! Par contre c'est un endroit bord de mer où il y a bcp bcp de vent tous les jours, donc même si pédalo, paddle etc sont gratuits on n'a pas pu en faire.

La chambre était correcte, très propre, nous avions vue sur la piscine,mais pas dérangées par le bruit. La plage est trop ventée pour y rester, personne n’y va les chaises longues sont vides. Hotel, service, and location was nice.

But nights were very noicy due to a “party” scene run by the hotel just below our room. Party went on until midnight - not really what you want on family type hotel.

We did ask at reception if anything could be done - receptionist promised to look into that - but we never got a response.
