We just got back from staying 6 nights at the Boutique Hotel Helios in Sorrento, Italy. Our room and the rest of the hotel was extremely clean. The fixtures in our bathroom looked to be new or updated and was extremely clean. Our room had a balcony with a small table and two chairs with a beautiful view of the bay and Mount Vesuvius. Just beautiful! All staff that we encountered were extremely pleasant, personable and extremely helpful from the front desk personnel to the young male bar tender to the wonderful woman who would greet you at breakfast and bring you your coffee. Breakfast displayed fruit, pastries, cheeses, meat, eggs and was always beautifully set up and tasted great. Breakfast was served in an outdoor patio overlooking the same beautiful view of the bay and was such a nice way to start the morning. Overall, we cannot say enough about our stay at the Boutique Hotel Helios!

This is a great hotel with view of Sorrento. About a 10 minute walk down to town. We took taxi to get there with luggage from ferry and then taxi back to ferry day we left. They helped us arrange a vespa for 70 euro a day that we rode to the Amalfi Coast we preferred Positano and Ravello over Amalfi too crowded. Staff was wonderful and there daily breakfast was great as well!

If you want value for money with a fabulous breakfast and amazing views then this is the hotel for you. The positives far outweigh the fact that the pool is smallish and that it is a mile walk into the centre of Sorrento/the main port. We enjoyed the walk and getting away from the crowds. Staff very friendly, Small boutique hotel with everything you need.

A little bit further from the city center than other hotels and there was a small stretch of walking as soon as you step out of the hotel that does not have a sidewalk so can be dangerous with cars driving around the corner.

What a beautiful boutique hotel. The staff is amazing. So helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable with amazing views of the coastline.
The breakfasts are AMAZING!! We loved that it was a small hotel with attentive staff. Decided to stay an extra night.
It is a bit of a walk to the town center but nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.

Hotel Helios was above our expectations. The location, the view, service, staff, room, cleanliness were all fantastic. Hotel Helios was such a wonderful experience.
The check-in process was amazing, the lovely ladies at reception were so accommodating, helpful and kind. They explained the best places to go, helped us book a dinner reservation, as well as a tour of the amalfi coast, and explained where everything was in the hotel.
The room we had was downstairs (bare that in mind if carrying heavy luggage) and was only accessible by stairs. We didn't mind, as it gave us privacy and had a great sea view.
The breakfast was really, really good with lots of options and a beautiful view of the sea.
The pool was also refreshing and had a lovely view of the sea.
Would definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel is a small jewel on the Italian coast where you can sleep at night free of the city hustle and bustle. Breakfast options are plenty and the view from the small breakfast area is superb. Getting from the hotel to the city is a little scary at the beginning portion, but becomes natural after you realize the entire Amalfi coast is this way. Thanks to the front desk team fathering to all our inquiries. And to the breakfast people who made our stay at the hotel pleasant.

Beds were too firm and balcony doors need a screen door or something else to keep mosquitoes out of the room when doors are open.

We loved staying here, its a gorgeous room with fun tech features. It was quiet, comfy and very clean!
The hosts are kind and care so much about making your stay meaningful.
Its so close to the station which can go directly into town or Pompeii and Sorrento. Would highly recommend staying here!

The views from the property are stunning, upstairs deck is a nice place to relax. Room was good, but the highlight was the staff. Check in staff, bartender, waitress at breakfast were all excellent. Arranged for flowers for my room prior to our arrival and pickup at the airport. A few people have mentioned in reviews that busy road and no sidewalk, but it's only a few meters without sidewalk and it was fine and we enjoyed the walk to town and back to the many excellent restaurants. Great location to stay and visit Amalfi, Capri, etc. Stayed three nights.

The main thing that made our stay at Boutique Hotel Helios was the staff. They were very approachable and extremely helpful. The roof top pool had the most amazing views across the bay of Naples. Having breakfast with the view of Mount Vesuvius was incredible.

All in all a great hotel and only a small number of things to make it an amazing hotel. Great things: the size is perfect, the location is so close to town and walk to at least 3 more beaches not including sorrento beaches. Stuff are amazing always helpful. Cleanliness absolutely top. Breakfast options very good. And best of all the views!! pool is small as they say but very nice with drinks service on the terrace with view of the sea.
Minor things to make it awesome: kettle in the room and glasses or cups would be great. soap for the sink as well. great view from room but not very private patio (can see next room's patio -- it's fine though). small things anyway for an otherwise excellent property. we will be back.

Tremendous staff, great views, and 15-minute walk to Sorrento restaurants. There is a short stretch near the hotel with no footpath/pavement, the swimming pool is small, and the exercise room needs a refresh. They are the only shortcomings and the great service and location more than make up for them.

A lovely little boutique hotel

I stayed in room number 4 for 3 nights (from 27th to 30th June). It was my first visit to Sorrento. I wanted a nice, boutique hotel. I read all the reviews and decided to give Boutique Hotel Helios a try. I was not disappointed. My check in was by the lovely Guilia. All the other staff were equally helpful and friendly. I could not have felt more welcome and at home.

Lovely boutigue hotel with wonderful staff

Lovely place. Good service and wonderful deck. The staff is lovely (really wonderful) but there were some minor issues--The hot tub was supposed to be open until 8 but was sometimes closed earlier. The cushions on the rooftop deck furniture were always removed at dusk, but the deck was open until 11. Not sure why. Food was fine.

One warning. The hotel is located slightly beyond the end of the sidewalk, which means you have to walk about 30 meters along the road with oncoming traffic on the way to town. Not really an issue since Italian drivers expect pedestrians on the road, but it can be unnerving if you are not used to that.

Good experience at this hotel. It seems to be a family run hotel, friendly staff that make you feel at home. Good bed and shower, breakfast is solid with amazing views from the terrace each morning. It is roughly a 20 minute walk from the main town, but the walk has stunning views of the coast and is not really an issue. If this hotel had a pool it would take it to another level. Overall was a pleasant experience.

Very pleasant small hotel with helpful and friendly staff.
Hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento, it is uphill heading back but you are rewarded with a fantastic view across the bay.
Hotel facilities are fairly basic, only a hot tub on the roof terrace, but it's all very clean and tidy.
The roof terrace gets the sun from morning till evening, so is a great place to soak up the rays all day.
Breakfast is ok not terrible but certainly not great.
Small bar area but well stocked and good selection of snacks available. We did not realise the hotel had a food/snack menu, no information given about it in the room, only realised when we saw other guests eating. Was a shame because we would have liked to have spent longer at the hotel during the day, but left to find something to eat.

This is a gem of a hotel one of the best we have stayed in. Very intimate with only 15 rooms, but that's what made it special. The staff were above and beyond helpful. Amazing roof terrace with stunning views across Sorrento. Can't recommend it highly enough, unbelievably clean, and hotel in impeccable condition. Superb.

I can not say enough good things about this hotel and our stay!
We stayed 8 nights here and did not want to leave!
Not only are the rooms very nice, seems newer, bathroom was great with huge shower, plenty of space for your clothes, what an Amazing Beautiful view you get from your room of the Sea!!!
This was our first time to Italy and the staff went above and beyond helping us plan our trip before and during our stay! Maria was a stand out employee for us! However, all the employees were very friendly!
Breakfast was crazy good!!!! Such a huge selection every morning! It was just wonderful, and we would love to return to this hotel one day!!!
P.S. This hotel has the Best Limoncello around and jump on the chance to take the free ride for an Amazing Dinner at Donna Sophia!!!
You will be glad you did and may have to go back before you leave!!!

We bought into an Expedia deal for the basic room. It was lovely but the view was of a wall, so we upgraded to the only other room available, which was the best in the hotel. Very nice indeed, great patio, hot tub and view. Service by the staff was universally fantastic.

Beautiful hotel, great staff

The hotel is modern and spotless. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the old town, so the bars and restaurants are within easy reach, but the hotel itself is peaceful. The rooms all face southwest, so catch the sun in the afternoon and evening, nice for relaxing on the terrace between a day sightseeing and venturing out for dinner.

All the staff we met were really friendly and helpful, always ready to help with advice, restaurant recommendations and bookings.
