Nice hotel, delicious breakfast very complete, great view, close to some touristic points like Giovanna Baths.
If you are walker to get to the hotel and get out is little dangerous, small road with no sidewalk and a traffic from both side.
To go the historic center has to wait 30 min for the bus for 2E and get to the center to go shopping, restaurants, etc
Staff were very helpful and polite, they had an adorable lab that welcomes you to the hotel.

We loved our stay at Hotel Spicy! The staff are friendly, the breakfast was amazing (the cake selection was very impressive, and the zucchini quiche very tasty). The view was gorgeous, ned super comfy and shower also lovely.
The only thing I'd say is it doesn't have a bar/restaurant as stated. We used the campsite down the road alot, they have a shop and a lovely restaurant plus the bus runs into town every half hour and is only 2 euros.
We didn't fancy the walk into town as the road is busy but we did see quite a few people walking it. But the bus is so easy that it really didn't make any difference. Highly recommend overall!

Our trip was to explore the Amalfi Coast. The hotel is not in the city center, and walking is not a viable option. However, it is possible to reach the city center by taking the local bus that takes you to the central station. To take the bus, you must walk up to the nearest tobacco shop (5 minutes) and the bus will arrive there. You can buy a ticket from the driver for 2 euros per ride. At the central station, you can take trains to nearby areas or buses to visit other towns (Ravello, Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii) for about 5-10 euros (we used the Omio app to buy tickets and showed them to the driver before leaving). The ticket we bought is valid for 24 hours, but cheaper ones can be purchased at tobacco shops. Upon arrival, we were served promptly and courteously. The staff is very friendly and speaks English. They gave us a basic orientation of the area and a map. When we needed a taxi, they coordinated it and were very responsible. The room with a balcony is comfortable, with a beautiful view of the bay. It has a queen bed and a twin bed next to it. A comfortable closet, nightstands, a small refrigerator, and enough space to move around without tripping over your suitcases. It's safe, clean, and locks with an electronic key card. The bathroom is fine, except for the shower. It's as small as, or smaller than, those on cruise ships. Other than that, we have no complaints. Breakfast is one of the things we enjoyed most, and it's included in the room rate.

The hotel is in a good location with views accross the bay.
The breakfast is good and the staff are helpfull and friendly.The rooms are very clean and well maintained.They do not do other meals. However there are a couple of good restaurants near by. They also have an arrangement with a near by facility offering a regular shuttle service into town (which is a lot less painful than using local taxis!) - and also have a great restaurant which is totally unexpected., the views are also stunning

Bagni Regina Giovanna is very close by so definitely check it out.

Could have used a kettle in the room and the parking is not free.

We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could stay more than one night.

As are many smaller properties in Italy, stairs are required and in this case approximately 50 to get to the floor with the room . The desk personnel offered to have someone carry our bags but we foolishly declined. If anyone over 70 is making use of the facility, let them carry your bags. Breakfast was provided and Delicious as were the two restaurants associated with the property.

A little ways outside Sorrento but there is easy access for shuttles and buses or isnt too bad to walk. Not many dining options in the immediate area, but again is not bad to get into the city where there are many options. The staff was very friendly and informative during our stay and had very clean premises.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, good amenities in the hotel. Sea view room was great. Could get little noise in rhe morning though with the cleaners. Not near a lot but can get the shuttle bus into sorrento from the camp site down the road. They offer pick up and drop off service from a restaurant near by and also have day trip options to capri/ amalfi coast. Overall we had a great stay.

The staff we interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean but very basic, not having enough electrical outlets, no hooks to hang anything and one small towel rail in the bathroom. We had room 112, with a balcony but the yard view was disgusting, unkept with a dried leaves, broken furniture, old containers collecting rain water, which of course caused mosquitos.

There is no elevator so be prepared to climb many steps to and from your room. The doors are very heavy and extremely loud every time someone (guest or staff) closes the door. Sounds like a gun firing. The staff pays no attention to the people that happen to be sleeping when they slam doors early and late. Pretty cheap hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Spicy was great!!! They provide shuttle service to the main area for 2 euros and it comes very often. We also did a Amalfi & Positano boat trip through the hotel where they had someone come pick us up directly from the hotel. There were so many great convenience factors and I will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Sorrento! Be sure to check out the natural swimming hole that is just a walking distance from the hotel for an amazing free excursion!

Pictures are a lie. Extremely small

VERY SMALL. Looks nothing like the pictures they have posted. I paid extra to have the “superior ocean” room, that was a lie. I couldn’t even roll my suitcase through the room because of how small the room was. I was on the first floor and there was a lot of trees in the way so I couldn’t really see the ocean. I would call this a partial ocean view. But of course they won’t admit that. After seeing the room I immediately asked the front desk if they could do anything about it. The hotel was fully booked so they didn’t do anything. No refund or credit. This hotel was pretty expensive for no reason. Very far away from downtown with tiny rooms. I stayed for about 4 days and housekeeping only came by twice. Sliding door for the bathroom could never properly close and the outdoor patio door couldn’t close all the way. Go somewhere else. This place is NOT worth it

As soon as I checked in I was disappointed. The air conditioning and refrigerator didn’t work. The room was extremely small 11 ft x 20 ft which includes a very small one person bathroom - 4 ft x 7 ft. So the actual space of the room was 7x13. They said they fixed the air conditioning the next day but it still didn’t get cold. The refrigerator never got fixed. The only positive was a delicious buffet breakfast!

the staff were fantastic, as was the buffet breakfast. the bus a level 3 min walk that takes you 10mins into sorrento. The hotel was clean. the only minor negative was noise on the fri , sat night wjen peoe arrived home or had to leave early for the airport as the staircase was marble and sound was loud but this was minimal. good value for money

it’s one of the cheapest hotel in this tourist area for a reason. however the breakfast was wonderful, the staff friendly, restaurant recommendations amazing. functional hotel with slightly risqué wall art…it is hotel spicy

place is a bit dated and you have to climb stairs to your room. a bit far from places but the staff will help arrange transportation….remember it’s a tourist town so transport is not cheap

Rooms extremely small from North American or European view in my opinion. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast average ( usual cakes, cereal etc). It’s about 1 mile from sorrento and necessary to take a bus( taxis extremely expensive 25 euros for the one mile vs 1.9 euro by bus). It’s a quiet hotel and probably deserves a 2*…I was most disappointed as to distance to city, very small room( I stayed 6 nights.. 3 is more than enough).. not many restaurants in immediate vicinity although 2 related came for complimentary pickup

pictures aren't real ,bad stincky odor in the room

the staff was very kind and very helpful , and this is the only positive thing !!!
the rooms wasn't at all as shown in the pictures ( looks like they made the pictures by photoshop !!! ) , bad rooms with very bad decoration and old equipments . the bath is very small , it's very difficult to take a shower .... AND the room smells stincky ... very bad odor ! there is no lift !!

It was a nice, clean comfortable hotel. The shower was a real tight squeeze and that was the only negative during our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is a little away from the Sorrento train station, so make sure one reached Sorrento when public transport is still operating, else be ready to spend 30 Euros on a taxi to reach there.

We paid a bit extra for a balcony with view and it was worth it! Shuttle from nearby camp ground to town center very convenient. Staff very helpful. Rooms / hallways very noisy - we were woken up when others arrived back to the hotel late at night ( almost every night,).

The hotel was a bit far from the town centre but with shuttle buses nearby that only cost 1 Euro person each way, it wasnt a big issue. Public transport is fairly cheap with a bus stop being near to the hotel.
The hotel had aircon which was nice and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was nice.

Friendly relaxed atmosphere, very helpful. Within walking distance of Sorrento. Also courtesy transport nearby. It is on a busy road, but on a convenient bus route to nearby towns of Massa Lubrense and S. Agata. View from bedroom balcony overlooks Sorrento town and hills above, quite lovely. Breakfast good. Staff very efficient and pleasant. Room and public areas very clean. No lift.

Interesting Hotel.

Interesting hotel about a 10 min ride from the main plaza of Sorrento. The hote is on a curve and it is a bit dangerous to cross, specially since there are sidewalks. The inside of the hotel is interesting because when you enter you dont expect to see a lobby and dinning room that looks like a club. The room was simple, two twins joined together like most italian hotels. We had a balcony which was nice. The Area is quiet and is close to a little hidden location in front of the water, which is a must to see place. Breakfast was simple, basic items. The staff was very nice to us, no complaints and they helped us too. The ride to the plaza takes ten minutes on a shuttle bus from a nearby campsite or you can take the regular city bus.

Comfortable stay in Sorrento

This hotel was nice, but not fantastic. Free breakfast was good but my aunt found an ant on her bread. Also, it's very far from the nice beaches of Sorrento. I would recommend finding a hotel in the center of Sorrento instead.

The hotel is on the coast up a steep. It's is clean and spacious. The staff were warm and friendly. The breakfast was a buffet but it got boring by the last day. The only thing I didn't like were the stairs I had to climb to get to our room. Everything else was great!

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of our Italy trip. The hotel was nice although could do with some improvements.
The staff were amazing and very attentive, also the buffet breakfast was great.
The room itself was fine however the door was slightly broken and the toilet was hard to flush.
The bed was super comfy though and the a/c was great.
Unfortunately the rooms were not very sound proof and we were woken in the night with a lot of slamming doors and loud voices. (Not the hotels fault necessarily but there seemed to be a large group of teenage girls on a trip or something).
Putting this aside it's a nice place to stay. It's within walking distance to a great lagoon/swimming cave and some fab restaurants. Also there's a minibus for a euro that takes you into town.
Also we'd highly recommend the Capri trip the reception advertised (€85) - it was amazing!!
Thanks for having us stay!

We were greeted at the front door for check in. Immediately given a local map and instructions to take a shuttle downtown. Room was very clean. Front desk was always available and extremely helpful with sightseeing tips. Breakfast was fresh everyday. Everyday the room was as clean as the day we arrived after servicing. Great stay!

Very cute hotel, easily accessible to the city center via the city bus/shuttle. Our AC unit kept spewing water both nights of our stay onto one of our beds....and the room was very small to fit 4 (the pictures online for the rooms we found to be a bit misleading size/style wise) . However the staff were very sweet and nice! The breakfast was delicious!! And the woman who made us coffee in the morning makes the best cappuccinos and was very sweet (she remembered our orders from the day before!)

A comfortable hotel outside the city centre.

This is an interesting hotel....albeit with a somewhat strange decorating sensibility. (photos of half nude women covered in hot chili peppers?!!) The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. My biggest frustration was the fact that the all electrical power is turned off when one is not present in the room, making it impossible to charge a computer or phone while away from the room. Efficient for power usage, but frustrating for a traveller.

Hotel Spicy - More Moderate than Hot

Hotel Spicy is a fine hotel for a night or two, but it is still a ways from being as upscale as the photos suggest. There were stains on some hall carpets, exposed wiring in the bathroom lighting, and the building itself conveyed feelings of subpar craftsmanship.

There were also a number of children running, shouting, and playing in the halls and lobby at 9:00 PM. After a long day of travelling, it was frustrating to have to ask the parents personally to keep the racket down, rather than the front desk handling on their own.

That said, the breakfast spread is respectable, the staff is courteous and seems happy to help where possible. The hotel is a bit of a trek up a narrow street, so if you plan on walking to and from the main drag in Sorrento, you may wish to look elsewhere.

All in all, the hotel is a reasonable value.

Fint hotell for voksne.

Helt greit hotell med hyggelig betjening.
Rene fine rom, men vær oppmerksom på at det ikke er heis på hotellet.
Bilveien går rett utenfor, så det hører man godt, men det var ikke plagsomt.
Bussholdeplass like ved, så enkelt å ta seg til og fra byens sentrum.
