The best hotel I stayed in Italy, the view from my room was art, have the beach and the vesuvio just in front. The staff were amazing and help us looking different options for transportation. The restaurant was really good too!! Definetly I would go back there!!!

A little gem of a hotel. Clean room, bathroom, and all public areas. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff on reception and shuttle cars. Plenty of good fresh food at breakfast. Free beach umbrellas and loungers on lovely beach looking out towards Naples and Vesuvius. Good choice of restaurants nearby. Very good value for money.

Incredible. Just walk one hundred feet out the front door and you are swimming in the Mediterranean. The view across bay of Naples and mt. Vesuvius. The facilities are basic but clean and comfortable, but the thing that makes it extra special is with no doubt the staff. Everyone is loving happy and always ready too help. They did more than expected to help us navigate the trains , buses etc.I can’t wait to return.

The staff were not very helpful or nice. Their shuttle driver hit me and then ran my foot over with a golf cart as he was not paying attention. All the staff did was give me some ice. Not even a free dinner to make up for this accident caused by their man.
There are little to no signs for the hotel, and the one hidden sign only shows part of the name. Their location on maps does not match their location.
It is extremely difficult to get to the hotel. Although only 2km from Sorrento, their shuttle will not come to get you. You must take a bus out of town to a parking lot and the golf cart shuttle will pick you up at the top of the hill. He is a crazy driver.
The beach front was really nice but again staff were not friendly or helpful in assigning you are spot on the beach.

We had no idea how wonderful this hotel would be! If we could give it an 11/10 we would.
The location was a bus and shuttle ride out of Sorrento, so if you are looking to stay somewhere a bit more chilled out I recommend it. As well, the free hotel shuttle that takes you up to the bus stop makes it very easy to get into town.
The staff was so helpful and friendly with all our needs, especially with the 24 hour reception.
The marina that the hotel is located in is BEAUTIFUL and the beach club that you can go to for free with the hotel out the front is a perfect way to spend a day.
The included breakfast buffet is in a beautiful place and great food and coffee.
The rooms are equipped with aircon, TV and a mini fridge, as well as a stocked bathroom. The bed is comfy too.
I highly recommend you stay here if you are looking for a beachside vacation on the beautiful Amalfi Coast.

The property is very nice, clean, you can get an ocean view room, it has a beach. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking that is high in the mountain and you have to take a shuttle to go to the hotel. We got there at 1am and we were lost. They never informed us where to park. They told us the shuttle was closed after midnight. Thank God we had a small car and went down the mountain hoping to find the hotel. We did, we got our luggages down and then the guy at the front desk went on his small car to show my husband the parking lot up the mountain. They charge you $10 euros each way when is after midnight or before 8am. I wish they could have explained us better the parking situation before our arrival. Also, they should have coordinate better how we were going to meet to get to the hotel if they knew we were getting there after midnight. I called many times before going there and they said just call us when you are at the airport. We did and they said the shuttle is closed.

Lovely little hotel in a beautiful setting. The view from our balcony was stunning. Quiet and friendly, away from the hustle and bustle of burst Sorrento. The narrow little road down to Marina di Puolo seems a challenge, but the complimentary shuttle service to/from either the car park part way down or the bus stops on the main road make it perfectly good, and add to the charm of the tiny village.

Wow. We had the most amazing time at this hotel! We wanted to stay near Sorrento, and go to capri on our trip and we were able to do both!! The area around the hotel is beautiful, amazing restaurants and gorgeous views. It was so fun to swim in the water and see mount vesuvio from there. They make it very easy to get to capri by offering a boat to bring you to a marina where you get on another boat to capri.
The staff were all extremely kind and helpful, and answered all of our questions and made sure everything during our trip was convenient. The next Time we come to Italy we want to stay here for a week instead of only 3 nights. Thank you so much for the wonderful time, and we will be back next summer! :)

The place is right on the beach which is beautiful. The staff are not very friendly and often treat guests as being an inconvenience. The rooms are extremely close and you can hear it everything. At night there is extremely loud music playing until after 2 am. There is no sound proofing which made it extremely hard to sleep which was needed especially when there are early morning activities. Transportation is a huge issue there and that nakes it hard to stay at. The area is beautiful but we would not stay again. If the staff were better it would grately make up for the manu inconveniences

Was a great experience as it was right on the beach. Hidden from Sorrento's main tourist locations, it was great because it was quite. A place where local Italians go. Enjoyed the restaurant/bar that had bfast included and discount to meals (good food). Staff was very courteous and helpful. Good A/C, clean and room accomodations.
The only inconvenience is how you get there and get out. A very steep trail to parking or bus from the hotel. They provide transportation via golf cart but if you have people in front of you, you are looking at ~30 minutes. It wasn't terrible but just caution if you expect to walk out of the hotel, jump in your car/bus and start enjoying other places. Beach was clean and water was clear and refreshing. I would go back to this hotel.

We loved Hotel Baia! We had some issues with our first room (e.g., clogged drain, stained sheets, no service), however the receptionist happily moved us to a better room. The beach area was beautiful and the food at the restaurant was amazing (especially the ravioli and gnocchi)! The staff were also super helpful; they helped us book an amazing boat ride to Capri and get an early morning taxi for a flight. The shuttle into Sorrento was also great! We recommend this hotel!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we stumbled upon a hidden gem. The shuttle service was exceptional. The connected restaurant served up culinary delights that left us craving more, the gnocchi was exceptional. The hotel's prime location right on the beach, with private access, was the epitome of relaxation. We wont be coming here too soon. The only good thing to can say is that is you are hiding from the law, thos would be the spot!!…. Other than that the staff at reception are rude and um welcoming.
The fact that it is impossible to get to crom the top of the mountain, you would have thought they would have the transport from top to the hotel finely tuned. Not leave your guests waiting at the top for an hour at midnight.

Getting to the property from Sorrento is very easy, if you take the bus or a taxi. My brother and I walked; it was a beautiful walk, but very long, and a little dangerous as we had to walk along the side of the road. This is not the hotel's fault/problem by any mean; just a forewarning to anyone staying in this area (don't walk unless you want to get an extra 10-12k steps in that day!)
The hotel itself was beautiful. Fantastic view of the ocean from our balcony. The restaurant next door had great food for all meals of the day. A perfect little bay with just a few hotels, so nice and private.
The only \"issue\" I had was with the firmness of the bed; it was too firm and thus uncomfortable for me. The pillows were also not amazing.
Otherwise, I would definitely book here again, and recommend it to any of my friends or family looking to stay in the area.

one major problem is the accessibility to property. Taxis can only pick up and drop off at a parking lot quite far away. one need to call the hotel to get ride. in one night, we had to make international call 5 times to get a ride. No one showed up. we finally key walking in the dark to reach the hotel.

Good hotel but tough logistics

The hotel room is big and comfortable and the staff is very nice and friendly. They are super helpful
The scenery around the hotel is awesome as it is located on the beach
But that is also its biggest downside as taxis cannot come to the hotel and you have to rely on shuttles to complete the last leg of your trip. So in the morning the logistics of planning your trip is complicated as you need to schedule both the shuttle ride as well as the taxi time. And the taxis generally end up charging a premium to come to this hotel due to its remote location. If you don’t plan on using this beach when you are in Sorrento as you will visit Amalfi Coast suggest you don’t stay at this hotel as the logistics are complicated. Easier to stay in Sorrento Centre with walking distance access to Port and shops / restaurants

Hidden gem about 15m by car from Sorrento - the hotel shuttle (cute fiat) will drop you at a bus stop two stops from Sorrento so you can get into town quickly/cheaply. The bus runs every 15-20m. Very nice friendly staff and a beautiful view/oceanfront, with walkable rocks/mini 4’ “cliffs” to jump off and a charming breakfast.

This is a small local hotel in a remote bay outside of Sorrento. Very difficult to find, quite remote parking and not much English spoken. Its on the beach but you will have to pay for the sun beds. No information for travellers in reception or the rooms

Amazing location. Amazing for a short getaway if you dont want to explore. You have everything you need there, and you dont need to move. If you are looking to explore, hire a car and there is car parking, and the hotel them offer a \"shuttle\" which is a hotel man in a small car. Pretty funny experience. The hotel is based around restaurants, but no mini shop to get snacks. The only other thing is, that the rooms didnt come with a kettle which we wouldve loved to have our morning teas. Otherwise clean and friendly! We will definitely visit again!!!

Overall a good stay! Service was great. Location is wonderful-right on the beach and a 15 min drive to Sorrento. Has access to lounge chairs and umbrellas. The marina nearby provides access to boat rentals, excursions to Capri, Positano, etc. Since the hotel is down by the beach, the parking is situated at the top and you would have to be shuttled to the hotel. It’s a quick 2 min drive and the shuttle service is available until 12:00 a.m.

The restaurant below La Tavernatta was fabulous. Great service, great food, great ambiance! We ate there every night during our stay.

It’s a really cute beach but I would recommend that they try to clean it once in awhile (too many cigarette butts).

This place is a secret little jewel.
It’s quiet and calm from the crazy big towns and tucked away on its own little beach town. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent. Complementary breakfast every morning and the black sand beach is gorgeous with a fantastic view of Mt. Vesuvius. They even have a dock where they send you on a small boat to go to your bigger boat tours to Capri and Amalfi that you can set up with the hotel. Parking is up on the hill from the hotel but they have a little shuttle for you.

Beautiful Ocean front Hotel

Beautiful hotel clean with ocean vibe decorated rooms. Hotel has very nice reception workers and staff. very helpful and accommodating to clients. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a stay in Mass Lubrense, Italy I rate it a 10 Beach is directly across the hotel.

HARD to find but Worth Finding

Great Hotel clean, nice beach, great restaurant, beautiful hotel and great location. BEWARE getting there is NOT easy. Thanks everyone for your reviews, I at least knew this before I went. Yes GPS does not take you to the hotel. Let me give you some pointers. GPS takes you to where RESIDENTS and locals can enter the area. There is a man at a gate and he directs you back to the main road. Driving farther south there is an entrance between two white walls. Go down this way to the city parking lot for the beach. CONFUSING since it is marked for several different hotels. The signage is POOR Hotel Baia di Puolo does not Consistently use the same name. Find the unmanned guard shack that has some obscure signage and then continue to the right down what looks like a private driveway for another hotel. There is a pole with arrows to two different hotels, take the one to the right. That tiny sign on the guard shack is trying to get you to go this way. The road is narrow and dark. At the parking lot go to the far end and the hotel parking appears there. Then go through the gate and walk down a dark uneven pathway to the hotel. My wife fell on this walk from the parking lot to the hotel. Better lighting and pavement would be helpful. Oh by the way! If you are in a room in the 500's get off on the floor with rooms marked in the 200's. Your 500 room is to the right and unmarked as you exit the elevator. WORTH it but VERY hard to get to.

Make sure you understand the discount for dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel. It was not explained well and the restaurant staff was very rude. The discount offered is if all parties order off the same menu. The meal we had at the restaurant next door the next night was a better meal and less expensive than the \"discount\" the previous night. Our driver called as we approached the hotel since we were going to be past 7:00. They told him the person helping with luggage had already gone, but it would be easy to get to our room. They neglected to tell him to call when he got to the gate since it was locked. He dropped us off and we pulled our heavy luggage 1/2 a block over uneven terrain. They could have opened the gate so the driver could dropped us off at the door.

We had some trouble finding the place. We put the receptionist on with our taxi driver and they figured it out. Its neatly tucked away in its own village. There plenty of dining options nearby and the location is just phenomenal in itself. The restaurant is great as is. The wifi could be better. But a resort like experience in Italy.
