We have stayed here numerous times over the years. Beautiful view of Newport bay, bridge, and Marina from room. Enjoy watching the boats come and go by. Close to the historic Harbor and bay front. This time got to enjoy a beautiful full moon rise in the morning.

My 77 year old husband had to haul all our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. There are no elevators, no A/C, the TV wasn’t working properly, the shower was mis-labeled H/C, the ceiling fan was unstable and squeaking loudly, there was mold in shower and on bathroom floor, and there were two entrance doors but only one was accessible so we climbed more stairs unnecessarily. Skip this place!

The place overall was great! We stayed in a studio which had a door at the bottom of the stairs connecting to the room below us. The only issue from our whole trip was the noise from the downstairs guests. They were just talking and walking around but the noise came through the connecting door and it sounded as though the door was wide open.

The website is not clear about the difference between deluxe, oceanfront rooms, and ocean Bayview rooms. I ended up not getting the right room that I thought I had reserved for. They really need to make this more clear on the travel sites. Outside of that my only other complaint would be they have a apparently gone to streaming services only for TV use, but there is no instructions on how to use any of the remotes or the service services.. if you don’t use streaming services then you have essentially no tv.

Staff unfriendly, creepy ,didn’t feel welcome at all. Construction going on in the room next to us woke us up in the morning at eight and continue to proceed with loud banging and sanding until I went to the front desk about the noise. I had to request a replacement room only to get a down grade suite. Refund should be in order

Could not walk barefoot could tell no wiping sweeping vacuuming or mopping none of the above was done floor was very filthy tables were sticky and couches were full of dirt/food also outside furniture has spiderwebs all throughout it- as far as cleaning you can tell only bed was made and fresh towels. Unfortunately there’s no soundproof walls could here everything from all neighbors also had a drunk lady knocking our door down throughout the night and needed to call night security.

Overall, the stay wasn’t bad, but it felt a bit underwhelming considering the price of the room. On the positive side, the hotel was very clean, well-stocked, and clearly family-friendly—they even provided games, along with brand new crayons and coloring books for kids. The staff was also friendly and welcoming.
My biggest issue was the noise level. On Friday night around 9:30 PM, a group with children checked into the room next door and above us. There was a lot of running, stomping, and yelling that continued until about 11:30 PM. While that was frustrating, we were already awake, so it wasn’t a huge deal at the time. Unfortunately, the noise started up again early the next morning at 6:30 AM.
I understand that this is largely a matter of parental supervision, not entirely the hotel’s responsibility. However, the soundproofing was a major concern. The walls and the adjoining door were so thin that it felt like the noise was coming from inside our room. Better insulation or soundproofing would make a significant difference in the overall experience.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was great and close to beaches and shops. The room had everything we needed. Had a great view of the bay and bridge. I would say it was quiet but the people above us were incredibly loud. It sounded like a herd of elephants in the morning at 6am with kids running back and forth and slamming doors. It made it impossible to sleep. I reported it but they did the same the next morning. Also one of the staff ushered us out of the pool before it was time to close by 15 minutes. We spent the day on the beach and wanted to relax in the hot tub but the guy was rude. But everyone else was great and friendly.

Loved the view. Spacious and comfortable place. The crab deck was an unexpected cool thing that we didn't even know about until we got there. Overall very happy with our stay. The only negative at all was skimpy stocking of basics--there were only two bath towels in a room rated for four people, so we had to track down two more; there wasn't much silverware, so we ran out a couple times; and there was no sponge or anything to use to wash the the pots and pans. But, again, great place overall, and I'd definitely stay again.

I really didn't expect as much as we got. The kitchen had anything you'd need to actually prepare food. The bathroom had more than enough linens. The couch bed had linens in the bedroom. It was so nice to have a little apartment to settle into after a long day. We plan to stay again in the future.

The room and staff were great, the bed was very squeaky though and every time you moved it was super loud. We had the neighbors from hell! Walls are paper thin and we heard everything! They were up until after 2A.M. arguing and yelling. They took a shower at midnight and blared their music. Zero sleep whatsoever! Also - the walls are very thin. We had neighbors the last two years who were so loud, at inappropriate times of the day (early morning 6am, and midnight), that it was hard to sleep. It literally sounded like they were in your room.

Wi-Fi was poor very weak signal, the satellite or TV was no better. There’s much more to do in Newport then sit inside and watch TV but at night there are times you want to just relax. The particular unit I was in needs to rethink the showerhead set up, it extended almost halfway across the shower from the wall and leaked really bad. Otherwise the unit was great.

The room was very weird. The door was i. Tje 2nd floor. The room was on the 3rd. The door opened into a steep awkwardly placed staircase. Have to be on the stairs to open or close. Opening the door is extremely dangerous you have to stand on the 2nd or 3rd step to open the door. Then reach down and open.. The stairs are very narrow and not very wide. Also the info about having 2 hot tubs and a sauna is incorrect. The 2nd hot tub has been closed for months. The suana in the womans broken. Other than that the staff were great. Crab dock awesome.
