Need to improve security at night, vagrants make the property unsafe at night, not well secured. Would not go out alone at night.

The Pool was nice, Sauna was amazing, loved the bay front views off the balcony. Nice full renovated kitchen. Cozy condo. Only knock would be that the walls are a bit thin. I would just if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs! Definitely would stay here again.

I really didn't expect as much as we got. The kitchen had anything you'd need to actually prepare food. The bathroom had more than enough linens. The couch bed had linens in the bedroom. It was so nice to have a little apartment to settle into after a long day. We plan to stay again in the future.

A perfect stay at the Embarcadero. The views of the marina are stunning, and the entire resort is well-maintained. The rooms are clean and the atmosphere is very peaceful. A great choice for anyone visiting the area.

The room and staff were great, the bed was very squeaky though and every time you moved it was super loud. We had the neighbors from hell! Walls are paper thin and we heard everything! They were up until after 2A.M. arguing and yelling. They took a shower at midnight and blared their music. Zero sleep whatsoever! We have stayed here before and loved it, not sure we will return after this experience.

The room was in great condition and staff were courteous. Was disappointed that the restaurant/bar was only open for a few short hours each day (4pm-9pm).
Also - the walls are very thin. We had neighbors the last two years who were so loud, at inappropriate times of the day (early morning 6am, and midnight), that it was hard to sleep. It literally sounded like they were in your room.

Wi-Fi was poor very weak signal, the satellite or TV was no better. There’s much more to do in Newport then sit inside and watch TV but at night there are times you want to just relax. The particular unit I was in needs to rethink the showerhead set up, it extended almost halfway across the shower from the wall and leaked really bad. Otherwise the unit was great.

The room was very weird. The door was i. Tje 2nd floor. The room was on the 3rd. The door opened into a steep awkwardly placed staircase. Have to be on the stairs to open or close. Opening the door is extremely dangerous you have to stand on the 2nd or 3rd step to open the door. Then reach down and open.. The stairs are very narrow and not very wide. Also the info about having 2 hot tubs and a sauna is incorrect. The 2nd hot tub has been closed for months. The suana in the womans broken. Other than that the staff were great. Crab dock awesome. Lack of proper parking abilities is ridiculously lacking for both regular and especially for handicapped and larger pick -up parking. Onsite manager and evening onsite staff were rude and non helpful to our needs for handicap parking. One example: husband parked where the staff told him to park, then they had him move it. The manager would not wait to let him back in the crab area, while he moved the pickup. When he asked if she could wait and let him back in. She told him it was his problem. She could of got him a key or waited to let him back in. If they exspect handicapped to park so far away from rooms they should offer a shuttle. We felt singled out and stressed.The manager gets a minus rating for customer care and service.

There was a door to balcony but it had no screen door and the area was swarming with huge flies. We asked for another room only to discover there is no a/c in any rooms. First off, I've never been to a hotel where the restaurant wasn't open every day. That was the first disappointment. Then we got to our room, and it was HOT. The blinds were open all afternoon letting in the full afternoon sun. It turns out they were broken. We had to leave every window open, plus the balcony door, to cool it down so we could sleep. Finally, they had the dumbest shower. Two showers with six heads a piece in the space of a standard bathtub. Yet the water pressure was low, so what's the point? Invest some of that shower $$$$ in blinds that close, please. I'm glad we only booked for one night.

Travelers should know that the pictures in the booking are not the property you will get, as each unit is individually owned and may not contain all the niceties suggested in the listing. In our case, the listing was outright misleading, calling a mini fridge, mini microwave and coffee maker a \"kitchenette,\" There was no hair dryer, no closet, no dresser, and no bathroom rug either. WAY overpriced considering these issues. Definitely wouldn't stay again.

We love the Embarcadero! The private crabbing dock, cleaning and cooking station can’t be beat. Plus the pool and hot tub are great for relaxing. A downside of booking through Expedia, was that the images we were shown were not for the room we actually got… so we were pretty far from the main activities.

People need to be informed about the many steps to their rooms. I had 14 steep steps to tackle, a room with 100 degree, no air condition, a small fan running, standing on the floor. Dinky small bathrooms. Old furniture, We cancelled our stay, and left immediately, in spite of having paid the first night stay for two rooms. There was no way we could have stayed there. I hope this is a warning. The hotel should tell people the truth about their rooms.

Check in time states 4pm. I made a special request to be checked in on time, at 4pm. We got there at 4:28pm due to some traffic and were told our room wasn't ready. It wouldn't be ready until 6-6:30pm. I was a bit upset, drove 4+ hours and wasn't feeling the best at that point. We got an email at 7:02pm that the room was finally ready.

The property was older but well maintained. We arrived at 3:35 to check in and had to wait until 4:00. It was defiantly not because our room wasn't ready. At 4:00 the desk clerk just checked us in and never even looked to see if the room was ready or not! They never even offered to store our luggage, so we could enjoy the area.

The crab dock and cooking facility is great for families and kids. However, this place is charging premium resort pricing for old, broken down facilities without a complementary breakfast, or room service or even a decent place for families to go eat.
The sauna has to be reset due to \"safety\" feature on the sauna. This was the same issue 2 years ago and nothing has changed. They tell you to call the front desk and they will send someone to reset it, but they don't. I called 2 years ago during our stay and they never sent someone. I called ahead to see if the sauna was working this time and was told it was, but I got they same message. I called Friday night. They didn't send anyone. I kept checking. I called Saturday, they said they would send someone- they didn't. I tried again Sunday morning, and they finally did because it worked! They have two very small hot tubs, yet only one works. BTW, I had to get Band-Aids because that new surface cut my nephew's toes! Beds are so cheap and uncomfortable - bed was so unstable I couldn't sleep and needed to move the mattress off the frame to the floor which is gross, just to sleep without the feeling or shift.

Honestly, the room was wonderful. I loved being able to sit out on the deck both in the morning and in the evening and enjoying the view of the bay. Not all of them have bay rooms, so you need to make sure that you ask for it. The hot tub and pool were nice. The hot tub could be a little more spacious. They did have a second hot tub that was under construction. I loved that they had a full dock and wash and cook area for crab. The only thing that majorly disappointed I and my friend was that they had no air conditioning in the rooms. On the coast. I know that several would think this is not a big deal. However, we would come back to our room after spending a full day out and about and come back to a room that felt approximately 80°. They provide floor fans and there was a ceiling fan in my bedroom. But my understanding is not all of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and that was the only thing that saved me on this trip.

Inside room the chairs, lamp shades, desk, & area with coffee pot run down. Food options. Restaurant on site, little time open. Need breakfast times. We had noisy neighbors upstairs. We talked to the parents. They had their kids in one room, them in another. Second night we were able to sleep. Leaving kids alone should not be allowed ! Think they said they were ,12 & 14. Internet good.Plenty of towels etc. Maids checked on us .

We loved the location and the patio area. Checking in was fine, but the front desk person who helped us said maybe three words the whole time, and then just tossed the property map and room keys our way. Be prepared to walk up quite a few flights of stairs. We were on the top floor and had to go up four flights of narrow stairs to get to our room – it wasn’t an issue for us, but we could see others struggling with it. We so loved relaxing on the patio, and waking up to the best view of the bay and boats. Bed was fine, mattress was a little firm for our liking but not uncomfortable at all.
