Room was spacious. Ned’s comfortable. Two twins pushed together. Bed linens tucked in very tight. Some days room serviced around 3. Other days am service. Had thermostat in room. 10c or 30c temperature seemed to come from anther system, Could get fresh air by window that did open a bit. Good water flow and temp. Good WiFi.

They turn off the AC and are absolute about turning back on. 4 star hotel should want their clients to be comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay from October 14-23, 2025. The staff was great, helpful and friendly. My room was spacious and amenities were good. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. The local cheeses and ham were very tasty. There was a nice variety of breads and rolls, as well as some lovely sweets. I loved the fact that I could brew my own tea.
The hotel is in a great location. There is a beautiful park nearby. The Guggenheim Museum and Old Town are within walking distance. There are many cafes and restaurants in the area with wonderful Pintxos.
On the down side wifi was spotty. I like to watch international news, but broadcasting was spotty.

Fantastic breakfast options! Great room size for family stay. Easy location for getting around. Only slightly frustrating that I booked it on the basis it had parking but was told it was fully booked which we weren’t aware needed to be done, so had to drop luggage off and then find self-parking which was available close-by.

Well Located But Disappointing

Hotel is well situated on the Grand Via. Parking is ample.

Service is questionable. Breakfast is way over priced for the quality.

The biggest problem, however, is the room. The temperature in Bilbao was warm and the air conditioner was insufficient. Even after requesting, they keep turning off the air conditioner. Every time we leave the room. Given the air conditioner is poor, it never recovers from the buildup of heat. Even after calling the maintenance, they’re just acknowledge that their air conditioner is insufficient for the challenge.

The room itself needs maintenance and touchup. The wallpaper is peeling, the baseboard is rotted. The doors are chipped. having stayed at other NH hotels, I am surprised and how poorly this one has been maintained.

Hotel needs to be remodeled. Lobby looks nice but rooms are worn. The water in our room stopped working the second day. Water coming out looked like coffee.
The people at the reception were very unhelpful and we had to demand bottled water to drink. Finally contacted Expedia and ended up with a very nice supervisor of resolution who got us moved to another room. Second room, air conditioning didn’t work. They did get it fixed.

Great location - was in Bilboa predominantly for the Guggenheim. We took a bus to San Sebastian after and very easy, walkable from the hotel.

Paid for a room with two queen beds. The room I was assigned to had a strong bad odor, so they put me in a lower floor with single beds. Ask for a reimbursement, but for the answer that price is the same.

Great hotel, lovely staff

Really lovely hotel. Good value for money. Modern, comfortable and very clean.

Good location in walking distance to local attractions and places to eat/drink.

A modern hotel with old problems is the shower leaked, no wash cloths, and they could not understand what a wash cloth was. Birds flying around the indoor dining area. They had a nice breakfast, but Jesus who made the omelettes did not like Americans and pretty much told you so.

Fantastic hotel; great location for getting around

Amazing stay during Aste Nagusia which we were able to enjoy but escape from to recharge. Excellent location for public transport (tram stop 200m and numerous nearby bus stops, including airport bus). San Mames stadium also only a short (10-15 minute walk). Requested connecting rooms in advance and the hotel was very accommodating. Rooms spacious, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast expensive so we didn't take this option as there are many nearby cafes and pasteleries at a fraction of the price. Was absolutely recommend and would stay here again if we return to Bilbao.

The check in was excellent with a very helpful receptionist (on Sunday pm). The air con was dripping water into the room in the night which caused a wet slippy pool of water that was dangerous. The bath needed new silicone as it was mouldy.

There was black mold in the cracks between the tiles in the shower. On the other hand, the included breakfast buffet was off all measurable charts. I might go back just for the buffet! The cooked-to-order eggs were stunning (we had an omelette, scrambled and over easy). The cheeses and Iberico ham were top-notch. Had it not been included, I would readily pay 25€ for that breakfast…

This was a nice property in a good location. We only spent 1 night in mid-September. The room was clean and a good size. The only complaint is the bath tub - very slippery, and not preferable to have a tub as a hotel guest in general, as I believe it can be quite dangerous. Since we were only there 1 night, we did not inquire if there were rooms with stand-up showers instead. But I would recommend asking for one as it's more functional, modern, and safer overall.

The hotel building itself is older, however, it has been extensively renovated. The room was large, renovated, and spotlessly clean. And HUGE! Lovely bed and linens. I loved the double door system, which made is super quiet from the hallway. Definitely ask to be at the back of the building... much quieter. And the beautiful parkland and river walk is a few minutes away.

La ubicación del hotel es buenísima considerando que el lugar que iba visitar era el museo Guggenheim. Los cuartos tienen una decoración moderna y son muy espaciosos. En la recepción nos guardaron el equipaje libre de costo. El personal del hotel siempre fue sumamente atento y siempre respondieron afirmativamente a nuestras peticiones. Really nice hotel, excellent large rooms and they really were supportive of our elderly parents. Good bar, good cava. Bit of a mess up on out last day where we booked the restaurant for lunch to make it all work with checking out, visiting the Guggenheim, booked lunch in the hotel (every bilbaoan seems to eat out for lunch so it is quite a task to find a place for 5) when it turned out that the restaurant wasn’t even open for lunch. We ended up in a place across the road where I actually didn’t want to go and it was not the food I wanted and more expensive. That was a shame because everything else was really good and nice.

It was our second stay in an NH hotel (prior to that, we stayed at NH Vigo) the rooms were comfortable, the beds can be better - twin size beds together do not make a full/queen size bed. I have traveled in Europe before, and this is not uncommon but they challenge the tourist to a quick adaptation to a different sleeping style. The A/Cs on the room can also be better, and cool the night for a better sleep. The bathrooms were comfortable, clean, and functional. The restaurant, and breakfast buffet was the best - thank you all very much!

Location of the hotel could not be better - downtown Bilbao! Walking distance to many attractions ...

Will come back to Bilbao soon, and will consider NH for our next stay!

NH is becoming my favorite hotel chain in Spain. (Has excellent experience at NH Viapol in Seville a year ago, too.) Inexpensive but feels like luxury hotel four times as expensive. Check-in staff very nice to our four-year-old, gave him a red teddy bear he now loves. They had to deal with obnoxious loud wedding but remained gracious and friendly. At 6 a.m. before official breakfast they had set out an informal breakfast with serrano ham, chorizo, croissants, coffee, fresh-squeezed o.j. etc, FREE. I will stay with NH whenever I can from now on. Wonderful

Everything was fine but for the price, I would not have expected these things: (1) given a twin room instead of the double that we booked; (2) bathroom was mouldy, probably because there was no extraction fan; (3) all the doors in the hotel auto-closed and slammed shut, meaning that in the morning you will be awakened by a constant chorus of guests leaving their rooms and doors slamming shut

Good hotel in the heart of Bilbao. Located in a bit of a busy section of town, but is walking distance to Guggenheim and Old Town (Casca Viejo). Parking is available for 25 euro per day. Be warned - the garage is tiny. Parking may feel challenging for Americans, but likely is more what Europeans are used to.
