Bedrooms - the rooms were sweltering and there is no way to control the heating in the rooms!!! Made for two poor nights sleep! The shower leaked badly in both rooms - meant the bathroom flooded every time you had a shower!

It is located on the Main Street of Bilbao across El Corte Ingles. The car park is a walk but we didn’t mind. The staff were very good and the rooms are excellent.we will definitely stay again.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, the bathroom was amazing, already booked to return. Drinks service was slow but I didn’t really care because I was in no rush. Pool not being included was a shame, so we didn’t use it and it’s €20 am hour for late checkout so we didn’t use that either but it was a really nice place right in the heart of Bilbao

A beautiful hotel and very comfortable room. A couple of marks off, as the shower in both rooms, whilst looking amazing, flooded the rest of the bathroom upon use. As it was both rooms, it would appear to be a design fault rather than mis-use.
Another mark off as it was not mentioned when booking through Hotels.com that there is a significant charge to use the pool/gym. We were only told this on check-in, and it would have increased the cost of staying by another €100 to our bill. We had chosen this hotel specifically so we could use the pool so this was very disappointing. The opening hours also made it impossible to use as they are very limited - it did not open until 11am, and check-out time was noon.

When booking, I read both very high sbd very criticsl reviews so I had an open mind. We stayed in a Jr Suite on the 3rd floor. Quite spacious and very quiet. The building is dark (in downtown area with other taller buildings around) but our room had light and there’s a 6th floor terrace (fab) for drinks snd snacks. The staff were the best: answered all Qs, helped w/reservations, reserved taxis, etc. The lication was perfect: a block from Old Town, across the street from the main train station, a pleasant, easy 15-minute walk to the Guggenheim (passing by nany nice stores, plazas, banks, eateries), a 5-min walk from the river boat tour company, across the street from a very useful department store to buy anything you needed/forgot and across street from a metro stop. We did not use or see the pool or spa facilities. The restaurant wasn’t great (ate dinner once there) bc menu very limited thiugh fois was delicious. Room service adequate and the burger and fries were the best I’ve eaten anywhere abroad-delicious and good value for $. Previous reviews citing the “sketchy” neighborhood must gave refereed to the train station a block away but all train stations are going to be less glamorous than a high class hotel area. I really liked our stay at this Raddison — not the newest of their hotels or the most glamorous (ergo, not the 2x more expensive hotel across the street from the Guggenheim, but it’s a great value for location, staff, and easy stay.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Nice rooftop bar as well. Walking distance to the top attractions. Lots of bars, restaurants and shopping near by too. The only negative was the breakfast. They were short staffed so there was a long wait just to be seated and they were low on juice and certain foods. There were just too many guests trying to eat at the same time and not enough clean tables. The experience Monday morning was totally different as there weren’t as many guests as the weekend so we got seated right away and everything was stocked. I would still stay here again because everything else about the hotel was wonderful.

The hotel and our room were beautiful and there was great customer service! Convenient location, just a 5 minute walk to Old Town Bilbao with lots of restaurants and shops, and about a 20 minute walk to the Guggenheim Museum. There is also a nice rooftop bar at the hotel. Parking was a little bit far, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We had a very good experience overall.

This hotel bills itself as 5 star. I would only give it 3 stars. The front desk was unfriendly, non-professional, and their spoken English was poor. They need much better people skills and training. We had a second floor room in the back. The front desk said our wouldn’t be noisy but in fact the back of the hotel is a narrow pedestrian street lined with outdoor cafes. It was very noisy, into the early morning hours, so management clearly recognizes the problem that the front desk claims doesn’t exist!

It is a boutique style hotel suitable for those who enjoy a small property. The decor is modern and the hotel seems to have been renovated recently.
I found our room to be very dusty with finger prints on the walls in the bathroom and in the elevator. The front door was very heavy and stuck to the floor when opened. There is no turn down service, the pillows were small and flat, there is no coffee shop. Other than the convenient location, I was disappointed with this hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location however there is not enough staff especially in the restaurant. It staff during the breakfast buffet work very hard but unfortunately there’s not enough of them so guests are left waiting for a table, to order and parts of the buffet are empty/take a while to be refilled. The breakfast buffet is very basic, I’d expect a lot more options from a 5* hotel. The bedroom although nicely decorated was exceptionally hot as the air con kept cutting out. We were on the 6th floor with a baby and could hear the 7th floor rooftop bar music until 11.30pm which was very disruptive as we sleep early and wake up early. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

Worst hotel stay ever. The rooms (had to change rooms for bathroom fixture and noise problems) were dirty and not maintained well.. We tried to make do during a labor strike by hotel employees. After three days without cleaning services, towel change, etc., we got our own cleaning supplies and basically policed up dirt and grime, months' worth. Some guests were transferred to other hotels. We we're not made aware of this possibility. Talking to strikers it came out that they we're not given adequate time to clean rooms and were under intense pressure to meet the \"quota\". Voila the room cleanliness issue...corporate budget concerns over quality? Breakfast room was closed for three days. To be fair, the one breakfast we had was very good. Upon departure we were told that our stay would be fully reimbursed...2000 plus euros for this Five Star hotel stay... but as we paid through EXPEDIA this would take time. Almost three months later, nothing. After 5 emails to the hotel not one answer. After three phone calls, after being told once that it was being worked, continued silence. On the last call I was not allowed to speak with the manager \"company policy.\" Are you kidding me? Too bad. Bilbao is exceptional, hotel location excellent. Management and upkeep are a very real problems. Stay here at your own risk.

The hotel is in a central location but the restaurant options were limited and the service was poor as they did not have enough staff. On one of our nights there was a private function which was not mentioned at check in and the restaurant and terrace were closed to guests, if we had been made aware of this prior to our stay we would have reduced the number of nights as we could still hear the noise of the function until after midnight. Do bear in mind that if you want to use the leisure facilities you need to book in advance and pay an additional fee. Overall, it is a lovely hotel but with room for many improvements.

Points of improvement:
- no English-speaking staff at the breakfast (unfortunately I don’t speak Spanish (yet))

- not enough staff for the breakfast service

Room was spacious and beds very comfortable. However, we were not aware that the august festival in 2nd half of August , would involve us being kept awake until1.30am the first night and 3am the second night when the music ended.
Hotel is very central- roads closed for festival- but a stage ( 1 of several in the city) had been erected beneath our bedroom window- it was literally like being in the middle of a rock concert!! Pretty horrendous! Noise level unlike anything ever experienced.
We demanded a discount but it had really affected our stay which was upsetting and hotel as an anniversary treat - definitely not cheap to start with!
Ignoring that, sleepy eyed we enjoyed breakfast /bar on the roof terrace - good and fresh selection for breakfast and hot dishes cooked on request.

The elevators need to be reconfigured so that it asks how many people are riding on it when swiping the room key. It would assign 1-20 people and the max per elevator realistically is 6-8. Breakfast was also cold, but staff were pleasant.

We enjoyed our room and Jon was gracious and efficient at check in. He explained that our room would be delayed in check in due several employees being out but assured us that everything would be good in an hour. We took the opportunity to get to know the property with there beautiful gym, roof top restaurant bar, massages, pool. Just a great property and location. Jon did a great job!
