Location was very convenient for getting to and from the airport, and for access to the tram and subway for getting to sites. Plus, great stepping out into the Old Town every day. Convenient for places to eat. Room was clean and had sufficient space for clothes and other stuff. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional.

Perfect position for sightseeing.

Room was spotless. Excellent location in the old town. The hotel is rather basic, but clean and comfortable rooms. Very limited social/public areas.
This is not a large international hotel, but is perfect for anyone that wants to spend time in Bilbao rather than a hotel room. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This is nestled in the old town and it’s very beautiful. You are right near a cathedral and it was visible from our room. Very walkable and there are delicious food options in the neighbourhood. Then best bocadillos/sandwich is right across the street. The bread, ham and cheese were the perfect blend and so fresh. It is called Viandas.

The receptionist was really helpful during check in and gave us a number of recommendations for food and drink. Brilliant location for exploring Bilbao, lots of bars and shops nearby and a short walk to the river. No air con but fans provided in the room and they were more than adequate. Would recommend.

We were there during a soccer championship, so the streets were noisy at night - making sleep difficult even with windows closed. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and would return next time.

The location was great, as was the comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and very good at their jobs. Reasonable rates.
On the down side, the internet wifi was not available, outside of the little lounge area. This could be easily fixed with boosters but no attempt was made to install them. This is too bad because it would bring their ratings up for sure.
This must be really frustrating for staff having d to deal with complaints from guests. Outside of this we really enjoyed our stay.

Located in Old Town right by the bridge to get to the newer part of town. Lots of night life, so you’ll have a lot to do but it might be a little noisy at night. Cars cannot go down the road, so tours and public transit are right across on the main road. We found it really simple to use public transit from this location. As for the staff, everyone was really friendly. The room and bathroom were much more spacious than we expected for Europe. Our double bed was two twins put together, but we didn’t mind too much. The balcony was small but really cute. It was a little more dated than what the photos showed, but its charm grew on us. Clean, centrally-located, large space, although the walls are paper thin. Again - we didn’t mind as we didn’t spend much time in the room. Also bonus - there’s an elevator and two passcode-protected doors. We’d stay here again, and recommend it highly.

The room was advertised as having a bath , but it had only a shower. You needed three keys and a keycode to access all the different doors to get to the room. The room was advertised as city view, it was three walls and a neighbours bathroom. Worst of all the room was stiflingly HOT, I appreciate it wasn't advertised as having A/C , but it stated it had a fan. The problem was the fan had a mechanical timer which maxed out at 1 hr running.

Great friendly hotel

The evening staff was very friendly upon arrival and check in quickly. Room was very clean and the cleaners very attentive. I unfortunately got food poisoning in the Restaurant Breton around the corner, so had to stay the entire time in bed, so I was glad to be somewhere clean and friendly having my stay ruined by the restaurant eating fish.
The hotel is very central, so a shame I not able to make use of such a great location, very good value hotel too, I recommend, but avoid Breton

The staff were excellent. Bilbao is a lovely town and the tapas at the New Plaza and market are fun. The Guggenheim was a disappointment. The building itself is marvelous, but there were so few pieces of art for such an enormous building and they were so banal.

I enjoyed my stay. The one issue I had was that the room had just been cleaned and the smell of the chemicals and fragrance from the cleaner was so so strong and very hard to get to go away. I opened windows and that helped however you may consider using products that are not so overpowering for the benefit of future travelers.

The service was very friendly and the location is within the old part of Bilbao - very convenient for those who like late nights.
There is no air-con and the rooms are not soundproof. The bed was okay but creaky. The bathroom is very tight. There is a vending machine where you can purchase coffee or water. Fabulous hotel right in the middle of the old town

This is supposed to be a basic hotel but i found it really comfortable. The bedroom was so spacious with a very comfortable bed, with; desk area, safe, drawers and hanging rail and a bathroom with shower over a bath, sink, toilet and bidet. What was really brilliant about this hotel was the great workmanship of the conversion, there was a lot of thought designing the rooms with my favourite but small detail of a good size shelf by the sink for all the bits and pieces you need there.
Also was a handy communial room with a large fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, tea bags, a vending machine and several seats table and a balcony (suitable for smokers) or watching the world go by.
The reception staff were really helpful and friendly, a great place to stay right in the centre of the old town.

Not a place to get a good night sleep

Can not recommend this hotel as there is no soundproofing between rooms. If, like us, you happen to have a person next door that believes 5am to 7am is the time of day to face time her husband you will be privy to the full details of the conversation all morning long. As their desk is empty after midnight you have nobody to complain!

The bed happened to be comfortable and the location is good. The girls at the reception were helpful.

If I could I would have asked for my money back as the whole point of a hotel is to sleep and on this one you will do very little of it.

A Wonderful Surprise
