A great place to stay at, BUT if you end up in Room 205 ask to move. The 3 heat pumps outside this room are very noisy. from about 5am. You will end up a bit sleep deprived
Angela
Was ok but found the room very cool .

Handy location to Centre Mall etc.
Melinda
Comfortable and clean but the blip of the traffic signal below the window all night was a bit much and meant I bought ear plugs for night two. . Beautiful view from my room though.
Brendon
Nice place to stay. Easy walking distance to the centre of town giving plenty of dining options.
Jayde
It is definitely one of the old hotels in Invercargill. The room itself looked like it still had the original wall paper. Good if you just want somewhere to place your bags and head out. Not bad, not great. Okay.
David
Convenient and clean
Darren

Harriet
Good location. Clean rooms

An older hotel in the centre of Invercargill. Great location and easily walkable to shops and restaurants.
The room is clean and tidy, all be it a little older. The bathroom has been updated. The carpark is around the corner from the hotel, undercover and free. We have stayed here before and will stay again, so that’s a good recommendation.

Central location. Walking distance to bus transport “hub” at Turatara Lodge. Shopping mall with world’s southernmost Starbucks next door. Kmart a bit longer walk but worth it. Pinch of Spice Indian restaurant is next to Kmart and their lamb bhuna is world class. Laundry on 5th floor free and super convenient just buy detergent at reception and you’ll be ready to step out in style in Invercargill Play the pokies in bar downstairs. The machines are fairly generous especially if you bet 20 cents or above.

Franz
Great place to stay.
Craig
Nice room but daily servicing was lacking. Expected a fresh shower cap & shaving set but was not supplied after first arrival. They had shower gel, Shampoo and conditioner but no moisturiser which would be appreciated after a shave. Fridge was not very cold and could not supply ice. Excellent restaurant and good service.
Pam
Good location
Susan
Was old and tired for the price We paid i had higher expectations. Will not stay again
Melinda
Room was spacious and clean. Staff were lovely.
Ingrid
Clean room, great staff and great location
Allan
I didn't use any of the services at this hotel.
frances
The motel is situated in a good place. The room was clean and there was access to a laundry which is always good. The building is old and noise easily could be heard from other rooms. The biggest problem we encountered was the heating in our room. It was uncomfortably hot. We couldn’t turn it off. Hence we didn’t sleep well for 2 nights. I mentioned it to reception and was told that they had no control over the heating. It is the same for the whole building and cannot be adjusted. Because of this I would not recommend staying here.
Phillip

Vince
Great room. Very friendly staff especially in the restaurant.
Ioram
Habitaciones amplias.

Great room, good staff, free parking and nice food.

Spacious room
David
Room was fine. Bathroom dated and seals in shower needed replacement. Beds were very comfortable with immaculate sheets and the towels were also sparklingly clean. However the walls are very thin. We were woken in the early hours by one neighbor and at 6 30 by another one.we have stayed on 3 occasions but I don't think we would stay again
jeffrey
The lobby and main areas of the hotel were updated. The mattress in the bedroom was horrible. It’s sunk in the bathroom had molded around the sink and the shower and the vent above the shower had kicked on dust that looked a year old.
Jenny
Staff were excellent

Great room and atmosphere. Close to everything and free parking which was good.
George
Room and staff very good the breakfast in restaurant and evening meal in the bar let it down , food was very mediocre and tea and coffee in the restaurant were cold and had to keep asking for hot drinks but would stay again as clean and very comfortable room

Friendly Staff. I did have an issue with the TV turning on in the middle of the night by itself and the Manager let me have 5 free Breakfasts to compensate this. This is an excellent service when things go wrong.

Constantine
Great hotel with excellent service. The only thing missing is aircon to cool the room in summer.

Room was clean and well laid out. Had three beds which was great for us but we only had one blanket (stored in closet) as bed was made with very light covers. Shower and toilet in separate rooms was great so multiple people can get their stuff done. Three beds but only one blanket - why? Only other complaint was that the outlet I used, although I turned it on, did not charge my phone overnight - my fault as I should have checked that it was charging.
Zane
Exactly as we expected

This hotel was just what we needed! We had a terrific room on the 5th floor and noticed they provide guests use of washer & dryer gratis. You only need to buy $2 washing liquid or buy your own. It seems like the town is fairly compact but we did notice that almost everywhere requires paid parking so their free parking for guests is a welcome bonus! Only complaint is the temps were very warm in the room & hallways.

Pretty good hotel for a small town. The hotel is in a great location, close to the mall, shops, cafes and restaurants. While the decor is dated, the rooms are spacious and super clean - room service staff do an amazing job. The bathrooms have clearly recently been renovated and I couldn't fault them in any way.
A couple of negatives:
- the hotel still uses old style keys - large, metallic and clunky, rather than card keys.
- being on the older side, the hotel is not well sound-proofed, the walls are super thin and I could the people either side of me through them.
- the doors are not soft-closing and make an awfully loud bang when people let them slam shut. On my last night's stay, which fell on a weekend, I was woken up numerous times by people coming and going and letting their doors slam shut.
Otherwise, not a bad stay.

Great staff.
Shower doors were faulty.
The wind kept blowing a loose item in the ceiling causing a banging noise.

The rooms decor or look and feel could do with an upgrade. Maybe a bit of colour or new fresh look for the room. The ironing board could do with a new cover, the bathroom amenties should be provided enough for the amount of people checking in the room. That is three people, sharing what has been provided which is enough for one person. Thank you to the receptionist that did my laminating for me, very much appreciated :)

The rooms were okay, but can be quite noisy with doors etc. In this survey it asked about the free breakfast which is not free as you have to pay.
Julie
Poor drink options-crappy red wine! Not given options for coffee at Bradstreet, though specified on menu at checkin. Same with smoothies.
Cindy
Breakfast was excellent, scrambled eggs cooked to perfection not rubbery, hash browns crispy, bacon not over cooked, bake beans, mushrooms tasty. All this plus continental breakfast and juice, coffee and tea. Staff really friendly and customer focused. Our plane couldn't land in Invercargill so we returned to Auckland and could rebook another flight until two days later. The hotel were so understanding and made a note that we were unable to stay for two nights. Because we booked online we had to go back to Expedia who just call the hotel confirmed that we were not book in yet and within 2 hours we received refund for 2 days. Loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was really yummy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, mushrooms so tasty, cereals, yogurt and fruit fresh - reasonably price. Staff so helpful and rooms clean every day. Highly recommended

The room is small and not very tidy. Heater in the room unable to turn on. One of the light in the room is not working and change the room upon request. However, the other room heater was not working properly.

Everything was great except the pillows were unfortunately really uncomfortable.
Otherwise excellent.

Thin walls, next room had a party into the night with music
Marcus
Pleasantly warm. Walls paper thin. Lights not working properly. Room not made up properly during stay. Faulty fire alarm system meant we were evacuated at 5:45am into the freezing cold weather with no apology etc. from staff. When I checked out I wasn't asked how my stay went. Signs up celebrating hotel's 60 year birthday and maybe needs to retire soon.
Rachael
Dated and not soundproofed, but clean and comfortable, with friendly staff.
Not ideal for a business trip, as “desk” area waa only equipped with a stool rather than a chair. Had a virtual meeting with laptop on top of shoebox, on top of coffee table, so i could sit in one of the lounge chairs.
Abysmal internet.
Water pressure good!
