Great location, right by the beach, the property was well maintained staff were pleasant.

Only thing is that they could’ve done with a few more cooking utensils we chose this property because it had a kitchenette but there was only little saucepan

Room was large and clean. Check in was easy. We had connecting rooms and the doors were kept open by a chair and the table. It would have been giid to have another option. The gact we could bring our dog though was fantastic.

Some of our allocated rooms were much larger than expected but all aspects of the stay reflected the standards we have come to expect from Quest properties. However, the published photograph for this property is 100% incorrect and should be updated. It is misleading and looks nothing like the actual premises.

All rooms we hired were great.Whilst somae had more space and features than others, the mosit imporatn feature for all my delegates was the full-sized desk they could work out. But equally, the location was brilliant. They could walk the beach and attend the Yacht Club for breakfast.

Location is the only thing going for this place. Stayed in a Studio with kitchenette.
It took 3 attempts to get the kitchenette stocked with the basics- ie 2 knives, forks, plates, glasses etc.
Each day the housekeepers forgot something.
Kingsize bed was very uncomfortable, very hard and the right side of the mattress was lumpy.
The layout is poor, bathroom door very close to the left side of the bed.
No black out drapes.
A very basic room with nothing to make your stay feel welcoming or special.
Car park recommended

We stayed in the three bedroom apartment, which had three lovely bedrooms and was quite spacious, however some of the amenities were of poor condition. The dishwasher was quite old , the compartment for the powder/tablet was broken and the interior was badly damaged/dented. There were no tea towels , fortunately I had brought my own.
The internet was very slow and kept dropping out so we needed to use our own devices.
There was only one small tv in what was a very large space.
Upon arrival there was no long life milk and only a very small amount of complimentary tea and coffee was available.
The mattresses were all extremely firm and not comfortable to sleep on.
The reception phone was not working properly and I left several voice messages but with no response.

The only down side is in the bathroom. The water tap is too close to the basin and there us no place to put the bar of soap you are given to use.

Exceptional Stay with Friendly Staff and Perfect Location:

Our stay at Quest Brighton on the Bay was wonderful! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is unbeatable – it's just a two-minute walk across the road to the pier, which is an ideal spot to watch the beautiful Melbourne skyline and New Year fireworks displays. A top-class experience!

Serviceable and quiet, in a lovely area.
Negatives: the freezer part of the fridge is tiny & doesn't actually freeze anything. The shower has a water-saving head, and doesn't get hot - barely above lukewarm, so showers were cold and sad.
A suggestion for public holidays when the rooms aren't serviced, especially for multiple days - leave supplies, such as toilet paper and etc in a common area for guests to access themselves.

The room was very good, however I did request that the balcony lights on room next door, attic 122 be turned off.
I stayed in 121 last time I visited, the balcony lights at 122 were in all night. most annoying as I like to wake up to daylight.
Please attend to this matter.

The room was clean but very warm especially over night, I think they must restrict the air conditioning then. The bathroom was terrible, the shower curtain was filthy, the first day I asked for a clean one but that was not that clean. I reported that the shower floor was dirty and slimey and very dangerous, the shower needed scrubbing and a non slip mat provided. There was mould around the sink hole and where the tap connected to the sink. The bathroom totally let the room down, would I stay there again, NO I WOULD NOT, there are a lot of places much cleaner to stay.

The queen bed was extremely uncomfortable- sagged badly in the middle which resulted in really poor sleep for both of us. Temperature control was possibly faulty- cycled between stuffy hot and then cold all night. Disappointed for the cost.

The access to the parking is very restricted. Had I driven down in another of my vehicles, a large USA utility but still considered a 'car', I would not have been able to get my vehicle in. That information MUST be given at booking time. Furthermore, the quality control of the cleaning needs urgent attention. The shower had mould growing around the sealing along the bottom and under the bed was disgusting.

The room was tiny and nothing like the image on the booking website. The bayside area was pleasant but there was nothing much by way of amenities in the area. The restaurants nearby were closed both times we wanted to eat there. Restaurants in Church Rd were very good but they were not close by. Parking at the hotel was a bit limited. Height bar was annoying. Our car aerial hit it every time we had to use the lower parking section. Cleaners did not lock our door properly when they exited the room allowing anyone to enter.

Wonderful position to the local surrounds to get around on foot and room was clean and comfortable. Service staff friendly and a muddle up on arrival however being given somebody else's room keys at check in. I soon realised and reception reversed the charges that were made for this room as we had already paid ours. Would stay again.

Great location - loved that I could walk along the beach across the road.
The check-in was ok and the new staff member was trying his best.
Was promised free car parking in exchange for 5 star review - got charged car parking, told it would be refunded, not refunded.
Had to ask for Wifi password, staff member didn't know and then forgot to come and tell us, had to go back to reception to ask for it.
Tv only had 1 channel.
Booked apartment to use cooking facilities - had to ask for forks and a frying pan.
Only 1 normal coffee and about 10 decaf coffees, perfect for decaf drinkers but I am not!
Beds were comfortable and location was perfect, its just those little things that were quite annoying. Had I got refund as promised for car parking, I probably would've let it go.

This property is very tired. I don’t appreciate renovations and painting going on around my room and the paint smell was terrible. Shouldn’t management block out rooms where tradespeople are working? OHS would surely mean it wasn’t safe walking past paint trays, drop cloths, ladders etc? Terrible pillows, only 2/room, sink was blocked, TV didn’t work properly, remote control held together with tape. I could go on but I won’t be back. I think the worst thing is that it affects your opinion of the Quest Brand and puts me off trying any other properties in this chain.

This property offers they bare minimum. The staff are non existent and the rooms are very noisy with the construction staff starting at 7:00 am. We stayed for four nights and rubbish was building up in the corridors. The location is amazing being right across the beach, but there are other properties in the area.

I reported many times the continual freezing of the small refrigerator - food, wine every day had to be discarded.
The fact the phone was disconnected and more importantly the door to balcony was difficult to lock, making overnight unsafe and access through the day when away from room easily accessible
The staff I spoke to were friendly and write issues in book but no follow up.
I hope you fix Room 125 for the next person.

Property is conveniently located right opposite the beach and Yacht club and only a short drive to popular St Kilda.

The building is dated and to access our room we had to follow a long and narrow corridor. Room was also a loft so had a flight of stairs as soon as you enter which made for difficulty lugging bags around.

Overall OK but could do with a makeover and re-orientation of entry/exits.

The property was spacious and clean. It seemed to be appointed as an accessible room with wide doorways and a shower chair (not necessary for us). It is great to have a kitchenette but the crockery, pots and even some glasses were in very high cupboards. A chair was required to access these items which is ridiculous and unsafe. Please build some new storage where crockery, etc can be stored at an accessible height to fit with the other accessible features of the unit,

Nice little apartment- shame about the blinds

The little apartment we got was fine except it was right by the front driveway so there was a light on all night. Although there were some blinds in the room, they didn't fit well and were not black-out blinds so there was a consistent light streaming through.

This hotel is handy for our family Christmas visit in Brighton but it is overpriced. The service was lacking in terms of being able to get housekeeping, but it was over Christmas so I'm sure it's better out of these holiday times

Very easy to navigate to and on to Church St, the beach, nice community feel. We had a technical issue on our first night but the Receptionist was very efficient and fixed the problem. The rest of our stay was very good indeed. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the onsite parking is very useful.

The location is good, close to the beach and church street shops. Reception staffs were friendly although not all very efficient. However, the hotel facilities can be improved. The water temperature in shower was not stable. The mini fridge was just next to the bed and constantly making noise. There were also frequent noises from trains and traffic on the main road, which were particularly annoying in the night time. With all those noises I can’t really rest well in this place.
