Worse accommodation we have ever stayed in.
Property does not reflect pictures on line. Mould in bathroom,carpet stained and tattered, lounge worn through in patches, should be thrown to tip,rangehood inoperable, slide out section falls to floor when attempting to operate, massive holes through bedroom door, doona unusable due to excessive staining,
Luckily there is a Coles nearby where we were able to buy cleaning products to deep clean and disinfect complete unit, there was very limited cutlery,cups & plates but all were put through dishwasher before using, vanity falling apart, toilet clogging up.
The two good things, clean sheets & hot water

Good location for where we needed to be. It also had the amenities that we required. The apartment we stayed in could do with new carpet and a good clean. Note the bathroom is in the main bedroom and there is no lift to the first floor, so bear these in mind. Close to transport and dining options.

We are really disappointed with the room. The air conditioner filters have clearly not been cleaned in over 6 months, if not more, there’s no smoke detector which would be a violation against Australian standards, god knows what was on the ‘clean’ bathmat (luckily there was a spare one), the fan in the bathroom is really loud, the shower head does not stay up when you use it, carpet had clearly not been vacuumed between guests and not enough glasses (1 wine glass is ridiculous), remote control for TV does not work properly, the whole complex completely open to the public provides no security. A complete rip off, should update photos to reflect the sub standard quality standard qubwitourprovider

The apartment was in need of a good clean. There was a good inch of dust around the skirting boards and flaked vinyl below the bed head. No mattress protecter meant that it was just the sheet and the mattress.(did not feel very hygienic). After giving them our credit card details (new card) we were hacked a few days later and had to cancel our credit card.

The location of the property is perfect and size of the room was great, but it really lacked beyond that especially in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. All of the plates, mugs and glasses were dirty, the phone was hanging off the wall, the walls scuffed with stains on the carpet, the bedroom window did not open and although having a washing machine in the room was a good addition there was no dryer and only a small old rusted clothes horse. I wasn't expecting it to be 5 stars, but surely being clean isn't too much to ask.

Don't ever stay here!

Would you stay in a room with blood stain on the carpet and they had to leave the windows open to try to rid of the urine smell as well as wet paint smell, I definitely did not! On checking in we noticed a few red flags....inaccurate description online pics are not what it seems, poor customer service (basically handed the keys and find the room yourself), scattered bags of rubbish left in foyer, apartment hallways and parking area, blood on carpet in lounge room and urine smell in bedroom. We walked into the apartment and looked at surroundings only to walk straight back out to reception to ask for refund. They offered another room but that too smelt mouldy. They contacted manger who refused refund, even Hotels.com tried to refund and yet still refused! Left me stranded as I then had to find an alternate accom nearby late in the evening. Should have taken photos but we were so disgusted.

I arrived to check in and was told that I had been sent a email saying the room was flooded, and they had transferred me to their sister motel in Highett. I did not have a car and had chosen this accommodation on the grounds that it was on the Sandringham line close to my friend’s place.

The room was not cheap, but convenient to my method of public transport so I had paid more than I normally would.

The sister motel was on the Frankston railway line, and although only 6km by car away from the Brighton Appartments, a long way for someone travelling by public transport.

I asked my brother ( who had a car) if we could swap accommodation for the night. He drove to the Buckingham in Highett, only to be told there was no room for me/ him!

After ringing the Brighton Apartments, they eventually provided a room for the night, and although I’d been promised a $1Au deal on the buffet breakfast by the Brighton Appts, my brother was told it would cost him $22.50!

Poor service, untimely notice, no due regard for potential transport issues
And costs.

Things promised by one source, not delivered by the replacement service organised.

Left a bad taste in one’s mouth.

Pretty ordinary!
Noisy, dirty and difficult to locate, and very very poorly lit.
Incredibly disappointing, people screaming in the complex, room is aged and filthy.
Didn’t end up staying the night as felt incredibly unsafe, raised with property manager and he didn’t care as they already had our payment.
INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING!
DO NOT STAY HERE!
Price was comparable with surrounding properties so it certainly wasn’t a “budget” option!

Be warned. This place is grubby. Cob webs, grime and overall revolting. The dishes and cups in the kitchenette were not clean. So we decided to wash the cups, however when we pulled out the scourer that they'd provided, that was also filthy. The bed linen was clean but the bed was not comfortable and the pillows were lumpy. We had booked for 2 nights but left after 1.
The only good thing about this property is the location.

I don't normally write reviews, but I make an exception in this case. We stayed for 2 nights. First night did not have a smoke alarm at all due to it being removed to replace the battery (fair enough), but then it was just not replaced! The floors and doors were filthy. Would not dare turn on the range hood when cooking dinner (after EVERY utensil was thoroughly washed twice!) for fear of the grease and dust mixture that was built up underneath falling into our food!! Paint peeling off the walls and ceiling. Some sticky substance (I presume food matter - I hope!) on the sofa AND ceiling. Don't even get me started on the mouldy bathroom!!! Yuk, will never stay there again. Absolutely disgusting! Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else that actually gives a crap about their paying guests.

The property was unkempt with broken appliances at the entrance and the front fence crumbling. It is difficult to get in the driveway as it is so narrow, we were required to do a 3 point turn each time , which is dangerous as the road is busy. The apartment was very dirty. There were food splatters on the benches and table, dirty tissues under the couch and beds, and mould on the kitchen and bathroom ceiling. The washing machine and shower leaked profusely. Our room did not get serviced despite requesting it.

We had a two bedroom apartment with a kitchen. The stove didn't heat well, and the dishwasher didn't work. Bed mattresses were only fair, and doonas stained a bit. Chairs around the main table were quite stained, and living area aging carpet had some stains. Walls needed fresh painting and had some marks. The bathroom had some mould. And we spotted a mouse running round the main area on the last day!

DIRTIEST smallest rooms ever. Conned into paying for a 2nd room upgrade prior to inspection - was single bed in a closet size space. The finger prints on the TV, grease in the carpet, food lodged in the stove, mould in the tiles and furniture but the clincher was the cat poo in the shower. Was billed a 48 hour cancellation fee including for the $80 a night upgrade as we ran for our lives.

Friendly and helpful staff. It is near supermarket, cafes, restaurants and transport especially the airport bus.
We had stayed here in early June and had enjoyed our stay, but were disappointed with 8 full rubbish bins on the property and dirty laundry outside our door for the 3 days we stayed. We will be not be staying here again.

We arrived at apx 12.30. I had called when I made the booking to request we could use the room from 12 o’clock. The room wasn’t ready. I explained we had a function to attend at 2 o’clock and had to get ready. We were give another room which I was grateful for. The room was definitely not clean. Bedside table had rubbish in it, the floor in the bathroom was dirty and the shower had mould and dirt on the floor. The carpet was stained as well. I did not expect this from the reviews I read. Disappointed!

This property was in absolutely poor condition. The curtains were broken, the couch was broken and propped up against the wall to steady it and it was badly torn. It also looked as if it had been scratched by cats. The walls are marked, damaged and the bathroom door even had a huge hole in the back of it. The skirting board look like they have never ever been vacuumed or wiped. Extremely poor and lazy cleaning.
The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes that had not been washed and there was not a tea towel to use to wipe the cups etc. The soap in the bathroom was still there from the previous tenants and the clean very poor. There was also no hot water with the hot tap only providing luke warm water and that was without even using the cold water tap.
The carpet is so badly stained, as are the dining chairs that had paint stains all over them as well.
The bed head is also so old that the vinyl was peeling off. To top all of this off the putrid smell in the apartment was very overwhelming.
Considering the great location and close proximity to Bay Street and all of its great amenities, we would definitely not recommend staying there.

The photos of this property do not reflect the condition. There are holes in the walls, and large stains circular stains on the carpet. Also the cleanliness of the apartment is not maintained - black mould all through the shower we cleaned and unwashed bathroom floors. There was also a glowing patch on the ceiling above the bed.

The last point is that we arrived early and was told the room wasnt ready yet, however the receptionist handed over the key and said we could access anytime after 2pm. My girlfriend arrived at approximately 2.30pm and was on a work call when the receptionist let himself into the room, saw her and then promptly left without saying anything.

The one-bed apartment I had was a good size, but it was very tired and quite sparsely furnished. The crockery in the kitchen was not clean so I had to put it all through the dishwasher before I used it (no cutlery holder in it). There were about 10 forks but very few knives or spoons. The cereal bowls were too small.
I notified reception about bin liners being too small and no laundry powder and they did supply these, but I also mentioned half the lightbulbs in the lounge didn't work and the Fox cable channels weren't available and they did nothing about these issues.
I was staying for 2 weeks so I thought they could have addressed these things or at least come back to me and explained any problems. It wasn't up to me to chase.
There were notices in the room that sheets and towels would be replaced every 3 days - this didn't happen during the whole 2 weeks.
I felt that I paid a lot for this stay and I was very disappointed with the standard of care.
The apartment itself was in a good location for transport and it was good to have parking.

The photos about this place must be very old. I have photo evidence of how filthy and run down the place is. I can't believe we were charged so much money for the condition of the place. I would never stay there again. The carpets were filthy, there was a hole in one of the bedroom's wall, we couldn't open the master bedroom's window because the handle was broken, there were 2 forks for the 4 of us, there was a hole in the lounge's curtains, the mattresses were uncomfortable, the place looks onto the Nepean Highway, so it is noisy... and the list goes on and on

Carpet was threadbare, there was a hole in the wall, wall painting was half finished and the door frame had been pulled away from the wall - looks like someone had tried to force it open. There was a lot of noise with guests arriving / departing in the middle of the night. Impossible to sit on the balcony as people below were smoking in the door way.

It was a one night stay and overall it was ok for one night. We stayed in the upper floor , it had a balcony a kitchenette with a proper size fridge and a washing machine to get your clothes washed. A clothe dryer was located in the car park area which was ok.
Easy check in and check out. It was close by to cafes and Coles supermarket and other shops.
A 25 min walk to the bay or esplanade. Bed was a bit wobbly but ok for one night. Found some tissues and leaves behind the curtin on the main bedroom which was also covered by a heater.

We stayed in a twin room apartment (room 6) it had a large hole behind the door, cobwebs around the room in corners. Rooms had a certain aroma, we purchased some spray to neutralise it. Rooms need vacuuming under and around furniture as well as inside wardrobes. Although the rooms in general appeared to be unvacummed.
The carpet was torn & worn out - desperately needs replacement. Walls dirty & patch work of different colours.
The on-site manager was fantastic to deal with, allowed us to check in early. For a “serviced” apartment it only has staff come through once every three days. We were in our room when the staff came through and cleaned our room, the lady basically pushed the vacuum through the kitchen and into the bathroom, leaving the lounge and both bedrooms unvacummed, it’s no wonder there was still a lot of left over bits of rubbish under the couch and the beds in the rooms. We found a pair of shorts and undies from previous tenants, I let the staff know. The two rolls of toilet paper supplied originally in the room at the start of our stay had all but finished by day three which was when the room was serviced, after servicing the room, no replacement toilet paper or coffee, needed to be requested.
The apartment is in a fantastic location.
all in all disappointed considering what is charged. The other rooms could be great as I was booking based off the recent reviews which were excellent, room 6 obviously doesn’t get much attention.

Weekend away.

We chose this property due to its proximity to friends who live in Elwood. We arrived late and the key was located in a locked box. Perfect for when flights run late.
Off street free parking and a two minute walk to Coles and specialty stores. Great coffee close by and a few minutes down Bay Rd and you’re at the beach.
Quick access to the highway back towards the cbd or towards Portsea.
It could do with a coat of paint to refresh the rooms. Bathroom was great with washing machine and strong water pressure. On our last morning we had no hot water, the proprietor was more concerned than us and offered his apologies. For a short stay it was fine.

The Brighton Serviced Apartments are in a great location and provide generously sized, well priced accommodation.

The interior would benefit from a freshen up, with leaking taps, pealing faux leather and worn cooking pans a little disappointing.

The single step in the pooly lit ground floor lobby with the dirty contrast strip was a trip hazzard. Probably best to attend to this before someone hurts themselves.

this property should not be rated more than 1 star. the room was disgusting, floors sticky, shower grubby, used toilet paper. honestly just disgusting!!!

Reception was very approachable & communicative. No problem in asking / clarifying things - friendly.

Furniture was clean & user friendly but for the price, needs updating as it is several decades old.

The property is in an excellent position to enjoy all the lovely Bay St shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the Reception is hardly ever manned. So when we found that the remote for the TV was faulty, it took a day to get it replaced. The apartment was spacious, with a pleasant balcony.
