If you can stay somewhere else, do! My room, while \"upgraded\" to a double king, was not only filthy but also smelled so weird that I had to hand-clean and spray down everything myself multiple times throughout my 10-day stay.
There was no dresser for clothing, the refrigerator/freezer was iced over completely (they replaced it), and multiple surfaces contained mold or other stains.
The staff was quite often missing wjen needed.
All in all, quite awful.

The front desk may look nice and staff are accommodating and the pictures as well but it really looks like run down motel 8 and looks tidy but is not clean. It’s has cockroaches and bugs in crawling all over the rooms and the bathrooms still has hair all over from previous tenants. It’s in an area that feels unsafe if you’re traveling alone. No refunds also. It may be cheap and if you’re looking for a quick stay and just a bed then I guess it’s fine but if you’re actually looking for a good hotel with service I would book the holiday inn and Home 2 close by.

Very unpleasant to sleep in with a child and we weren’t even told about it till the next day when we requested to be switched. Other than that the location was okay. All pillows and sheets had stains on them. Most of the towels we were given over the week had stains on them. Mini fridge in the room leaked. The microwave did not work and was told they are about to do away with them so they wouldn’t replace it had to use the microwave in the lobby laundry room wasn’t really a laundry room. One small washer and small dryer sitting out in the breeze way on each floor. Every room smelled like mold/mildew. Beds were super uncomfortable. Tv never worked in the room. Shower water had a strong sulphur like smell to it. Vending machine in the lobby didn’t work, and they had everything setup for breakfast but said it wasn’t ready to be used yet. Gave 2 stars because I get that you get what you pay for so it was expected to be not the greatest but didn’t expect it to be as bad as it was.
Pool on site was drained and had a sign saying closed.

The room was okay. It was clean but the beds are so high I had to go buy a step stool so my sister could get on the bed she is 78. There was only one chair in the room, we asked for another one which they gave us a straight back chair. That was fine. We told them our tv was going out. They said could replace it ( they did not). There was no coffee in the room. There was a coffee pot but no coffee or filters. There was no information on the tv channels or the internet. No breakfast , No information in the room the area. Like I said it was just okay. If I was staying longer or on vacation I would have been very unhappy with the place.

I cannot recommend this accommodation. The rooms were in a state of disrepair. The television was non-functional, and the air conditioning unit produced excessive noise. Furthermore, the swimming pool was closed for maintenance. Although my reservation was for a week, I departed after a single night due to discomfort caused by insect bites and an unsuitably firm mattress.

I paid $170 for what turned out to be a very disappointing motel experience. The photos online were extremely misleading — the property and rooms appeared much cleaner, newer, and more inviting than they actually were.

When my family and I arrived, checked in, and entered the room, we immediately turned around and left. The room was dirty, outdated, and had a strong mildew smell. I did not feel comfortable having my family stay there.

We ended up booking a much nicer hotel nearby for nearly the same price, which also included a pool and complimentary full breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, my reservation for this motel specifically stated that breakfast was included, but the front desk informed us it was unavailable this month and might return next month.

Overall, this was a terrible experience and not worth the price. I would not recommend staying here.

Like if the extra $50 per night is too much this hotel can work for you. But if I was you I will wait until you have the extra $50. If you have a family with kids. The room was dirty. Our toilet didn’t work. We had to move rooms twice and then the last ones toilet ended up not being able to flush our bed sheets had cigarette burns and what looked like a prostitutes makeup. There was blood on same places on the blanket. Breakfast was supposed to be provided but it was not at all. We checked in around 11:00 and we left by 7:00am. I want a full refund.

I saw things about bed bugs I woke up and I didn't have any bites so I don't think there's any bed bugs. I heard the new managers are trying to clean things up kind of sketchy at night though. A lot of people just hanging around on bicycles riding through the property or stopping at rooms so be aware. Overall not too bad they don't have breakfast the pool's not available maybe in due time they'll get all that together but as of right now I'm only going to rate it at two

This place was good for 1 night. Sketchie people up through the night. Make sure you lock your vehicle doors. Walls are thin. You can hear people outside at all hrs of the night. They are in the process of remodeling because the hotel changed owners and the name changed to OYO therefore it wasn’t easy to find. The front desk’s attendants are very nice and polite. But the rooms need improvement. Nice bed and linens but the furniture is old and worn-out. Tv is new and WiFi is very good. We only needed to spend one night and I would like to return when the remodeling is complete.

From here, it is only a couple mile drive to Beautiful Fort Walton Beach. The staff was friendly and overall clean place. The room was nice and the bed was wonderful. My only complaint is that the corners were not kept that clean in the room and there were some little bugs or insects on the dresser.

The room was nice and clean in a quiet area. The only thing I would have liked was more of a selection at breakfast. They had waffles, biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage links, bread/bagels and muffins. There was also some cereal available. It would have been nice to have hard boiled eggs/yogurt and/or even a plain gravy for the biscuits because I am on a pork free diet. But overall, I enjoyed a waffle and coffee. Not too bad.

When I arrived, it was definitely not what I expected. It certainly did not look like with a picture showed. I was told though if I canceled I would be charged $100 so at that point I said I guess I’m stuck staying. The room was not very clean. I honestly couldn’t sleep because I was scared of bedbugs or just felt gross.! The bedding seem clean but the bed around it wasn’t for the shower or the chair and the desk! I certainly would’ve stayed somewhere else if I known, especially doing this trip, spontaneously and little money as a single mother

I spent one night here. I had read reviews and seen good ones. This is just a basic hotel, went in and smelled like smoke,the blanket on bottom of bed, the shower curtain had cigarette burns on them. This room was non smoking. This is okay for someone who doesn’t want to spend much money for vacation. But, I would not recommend it for a long stay. The pool was clean. There were places to eat and shop close to it. The washer and dryer is upstairs under the awning. We couldn’t get into the gym our card wouldn’t work. This is just a basic cheap motel.

We got away for the weekend with the family and decided to stay here. Check in was easy, staff was friendly at check in. The room was clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. For breakfast we had biscuits and gravy and the grandkids had waffles. Check out was quick. We would stay here again.

It was okay. I’ll pay the extra money to go somewhere else next time. The rooms were not great. You could tell the headboards weren’t cleaned, dirt around the bathtub floor, one broken shade. I saw two other cars the whole time I was there (4 days) so that is a good indicator that this wasn’t worth it.
They did stock the towels & take out the trash daily. But other than that, I’d skip it. Not clean enough.

I did an early luggage drop off. I spoke to the guy at the front desk and he said to leave my luggage in the lobby and he would put it behind the front desk. When I came back six hours later to check in to my hotel room, my luggage was still sitting in the hotel lobby unattended. There was a different guy at the front desk and he said nobody told him anything about the luggage. When we got into the room, the floor was wet. The room was so humid that you could feel the bedding was moist. Although we stayed in a room downstairs, we noticed that the elevator was not working. Overall it was an unpleasant experience.

Pier fishing trip

A pier fishing trip at Navarre Beach Pier. Weather was great, fishing was great, and the Baymont Hotel was great. Rooms were clean, well maintained, shower had great water pressure, and the bed was super comfortable. We have stayed at 4 hotels in the area and the Baymont was by far the best yet.

First off I did the online check in, which was apparently a waste of time. As i approached the coin and told the man I had a reservation, he once again asked for my ID. Then he asked how I would be paying (which I had already paid online). I told him I paid for the room already, but there was apparently a $100.00 security deposit. I wouldn’t care had i known, but this was totally sprung on me. I gave him my debit card and asked where the workout center they had advertised was. He told me “no no we don’t have that,there’s a bike and treadmill, but they don’t work well. I got my key and went upstairs to the room. The key did not work at the room at first. It took 5mins to finally get in. The room was old,outdated and damaged. The tv was stuck on CNN,seemed like nothing seemed to work. I only had an overnight stay thankfully. Only high point was I got my deposit back at 11:30am the next day. The place is a straight dump,and they use misleading ads to deceive people

We have stayed at this Baymont Mary Ester hotel many times and it is always very clean and very safe. It is family operated and most certainly a best value in the fort Walton, Destin and Navarre area. Breakfast bar is very basic but Sufficient. We hope to utilize the hotel again.

I ended up paying for the room twice because they claimed to not have my Orbitz reservation even after I gave them the Orbitz confirmation code. I was greeted by cockroaches scattering as I entered the room which faced a busy road. The neighbors were up all night and very active. The lights were on motion sensors and timers so there were random red lights tracking my every move. The breakfast area was unkept and lacking. There was bread and cheap muffins, old individually wrapped apples, cereal and waffle batter to make your own waffles. It may have been my lack of sleep but the whole experience was Terrible.

I only got to stay there two hours and I would say its not that much better than a Motel 6. I paid extra to check in early as I was there to get some rest. I paid the deposit and all that. My short stay was due to a mental health emergency where I was taken to the hospital for 4 days. I had to have a family friend pick up my car. I didnt have access to my phone while I was in the hospital and called to explain what happened to the front desk. The person on the phone was unwilling to give me a refund under the circumstances or even refund my deposit.

When I arrived at 1050 pm, there was no one there for about 10 minutes and then after knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell, a hotel staff member pulled up hurriedly and checked me in. This was not very pleasant after driving several states to this destination and having to use the restroom upon arrival.

Then I was placed in a room next to another room that was occupied by people who I was suspicious of drug activity. There was a lot of noise and squabbling in the room. I quite literally felt unsafe and has to be transferred to a different room.

Unlike the first staff member I encountered, the second staff member was polite and placed me in a room that I felt OK staying in for the evening. He was very helpful.

Overall, this was such a poor experience that I seriously considered driving straight back home upon arriving. I will have a hard time to return to this hotel again.

The TV remote in the first room did not work correctly, and so I then was given a room upstairs that had no light over the vanity and the receptacle at the vanity did not work. This is a hotel that is priced accordingly, you get clean sheets and towels and the front staff are friendly and try to help as much as possible.
